Oracle.jms.AQjmsException when inserting large MessageMap message via JMS

Is there a limit on the number of items/size of message that can be placed on the AQ using the MessageMap message format?
Ive attempted to place 100 elements, each a small string of approximately 20 characters, into the AQ but I get the following error.
---> nested oracle.jms.AQjmsException: JMS-204: An error occurred in the AQ JNI layer
If I reduce the number of elements to about 70 the message is successfully queued.

As long as the byte array obtained by serializing the JMSMapMessage
java object instance fits in a BLOB (max size 4 Gig) you should be able to
enqueue your message (providing the OS and/or the JVM can handle it).
Smaller map messages are stored inline in the table itself. Larger messages
are stored in a BLOB. It is likely that you do not have permissions to
write to the BLOB field of the OJMS MapMessage ADT.
To figure out the exact SQL exception turn tracing on by putting the following
lines of code in your OJMS client and recompiling.
AQjmsOracleDebug.setDebug(true);
AQjmsOracleDebug.setTraceLevel(5);
This will give you the exact SQL exception that is thrown.

    If you have been using your phone as recommended, you should have minimal data loss from the inability to restore from a backup.
    Contacts and calendars should be synched to a computer application like Outlook or Address Book (or a cloud service like Google Contacts or iCloud).  The update process does NOT affect these computer applications so your contacts and calendars should be safe and sound in the application ready for synching back to your phone.
    Same for photos.  It is recommended that photos be imported to your computer as soon as possible after taking them (just as you would import them from any other camera) for storage, archival and safekeeping.  Again, your photos should be safe and sound on your computer.
    If you've not been using your computer as recommended, you've learned a very hard lesson, I'm afraid.

  • Repository event handler doesn't work when inserting an xml-doc via ftp

    Hi,
    I want to add a 'schemaLocation'-attribute to an XML-document when I load it in the repository. Therefore, I use the precreate-repository event and created a Repository Event Handler (see code extract below).
    Everything works fine if I type the following code in SQL Plus:
    Declare
    v_return BOOLEAN;
    Begin
    v_return:=DBMS_XDB.createresource('/public/xml/test.xml', XMLType(bfilename('XMLDIR', 'test.xml'),nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8')));
    end;Unfortunately, when I try to insert an XML-document via ftp into the /public/xml folder it doesn´t work as expected and no 'schemaLocation'-attribute is added to the new resource.
    What's the reason for this strange behavior and how can I solve it?
    For your information: I use the Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0
    Thank you very much for your help!!!

  • AQ and JMS - Oracle XA exception when trying to read message

    I'm trying to setup Oracle AQ as a foreign JMS provider. I've setup the DipsAQXAQueueConnectionFactory and DipsAQDestination in the JNDI of my weblogic server according to the sample posted by Eric Ma. This works ok and prints out the following on server startup....

  • Oracle ODBC error when inserting "end" or "begin"

    I think I may have found a bug in the Oracle ODBC driver....
    I am using version 8.01.73.00 of the Oracle ODBC driver, and my VB application is trying to insert a record into a table using ADO. All works fine, until the user tries to enter the word "end", or "begin" into any of the text (CLOB) fields. The following code shows how I am doing an insert:
    Dim cmd As ADODB.Command
    Set cmd = New ADODB.Command
    cmd.ActiveConnection = "DSN=Envoy;uid=Envoy;pwd=significance;"
    cmd.CommandText = "Insert into Mon_Reading (Creation_User, Creation_Date, Reading_Date, Param_ID, Mon_ID, Value, ApplicableYN, Site_ID, Prev_MEter_Value, MeterResetYN, UOM_ID, LimitsApplicableYN, Lower, Upper, Limit_UOM_ID, ApprovedYN, Comments ) Values ('Matttt', '01-jan-2002', '01-jan-2003', 1, 1, 1., 'Y', 1, 0, 'N', 1, 'N', 0, 0, 0, 'Y', ' end ');"
    cmd.CommandType = adCmdText
    cmd.Execute , , adExecuteNoRecords
    As you can see, the text " end " is being added to the comments field, a CLOB data field. When executed, this causes an Oracle ORA-0911 error (invalid character), and the insert fails.
    Heres the weird thing - if you change the word "end" to anything else apart from "begin" - it will work!!! Also, it only fails if you wrap the "end" in spaces?!!?!! Users that reported this were entering comments like "this is the end of June" - this would have caused the error. If you copy teh failed SQL and paste it into SQLPlus, it executes OK.
    I can only presume this is an Oracle bug. Anyone else have an ideas? What can I do as a workaround?

    First thought would be to grab the updated 8.1.7.x ODBC driver (8.1.7.7 IIRC). Perhaps this problem has already been solved.

  • Robohelp freezes when inserting large Captivate Demo

    When I try to insert a demo from My Captivate Projects, it
    suddenly freezes. It has happened several times. Any ideas on what
    I am doing wrong. Thank you!

    Hi there
    You may experiencing what I frequently used to. Do you also
    have Captivate open on your PC? Here's the deal. I use both
    RoboHelp and Captivate and also frequently combine the two. So
    perhaps I just created a Captivate piece and want to use it in
    RoboHelp. I flip between the two and attempt to insert the
    Captivate. Then a hang. What gives?
    Well, odd as it may seem, until you actually close the
    Captivate project in Captivate, it sort of has "hooks" into it. By
    closing the project in Captivate, I'm able to seamlessly insert it
    into RoboHelp.
    Hopefully this helps you out... Rick

  • Mail not saving large outgoing messages

    i've recently noticed that when sending large outgoing messages (typically 10mb or more), mail sends but does not save the sent message. i'm using IMAP Gmail. everything else (ie, anything smaller) sends and saves fine.
    anyone else noticed this/got a fix? i'm using mail 4.1 on OS 10.6.1, but i had trouble with mail in leopard where it wouldn't send large emails at all.

    Yes I am having the exact same problem - email just disappears totally whilst being sent - nothing in drafts or sent items - the email has totally disappeared - very very annoying...
    I am feeling very angry with Apple and things that should 'just work' that just 'don't work' any more - the whole OS is becoming totally unreliable - I'm seriously considering ditching this junk (after 3yrs of Apple purchasing) and going back to Windows - Apple are the most arrogant and uncommunicative company I have ever known...

  • CD's when inserted pop out

    When I insert a cd it pops out. I called tech support and they said it was a hardware issue. After spending 2 hours at the Apple store, they said it was a software issue. They reinstalled Leopard, the updates and the cd/dvd drivers. They tried it with a dvd and iDvd opened and worked perfectly. When I got home, the dvd did work, however a photo, document or music cd does not work. It still pops out when inserted with no message. It makes a small noise that sounds like it is trying to work but after a few seconds it pops out. I checked my system preferences and the cd/dvd is set up correctly. Help! I don't want to make another trip to the Apple store which is 150 miles round trip (eventhough the store is so much fun). Look forward to your input! Thanks

    Hello,
    You need to use the OCI driver as the error indicates.
    The thin driver does not have support for the ANYDATA type in 10.2 only the OCI driver does. in 11.1 onwards the thin driver supports the ANYDATA type. So an option may be to use the jar files from an 11g install.
    Thanks
    Peter

    was recently sent a very large emoji message amd now when i try to acces messages it will not display mesagges and then will bring me back to the home page

    Quit the messages app and reset your phone.
    Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
    After the phone restarts go into Messages and delete the thread containing the problem message.

  • Create EJB 3.0 Message Driven Bean on a Oracle JMS (AQ)

    Hi, I need to develop a EJB 3.0 Message Driven Bean. The MDB has to work on a Oracle AQ using Oracle JMS. Is there any how-to document giving an example about this issue. Can you give an example how to create the JMS destination in OC4J (how to configure the Oracle JMS AQ in OC4j), issue the JMS destination via annotions (resource injection) in the MDB. Please give me a working example of the MDB and a test client to produce a message. Regards, Arjan Jorritsma

    Check your ejb-jar.xml and see if it has the version of "2.1" there...
    If the application was depending upon EJB 3.0 annotations but it had a ejb-jar.xml that had version set to "2.1" and there was no oracle specific descriptor (orion-ejb-jar.xml) to designate it use the resource adapter; It would expect JMS destination and connection factory that is required for a JMS-MDB set in the ejb-jar.xml. So try to change the ejb-jar.xml to update the version to "3.0", OC4J would have parsed the annotation and combined the metadata with ejb-jar.xml and it would work.

    You can't reformat it and not wipe everything on it.
    Have you tried a different USB port?
    Only other option, back it up on a different computer.

    When inserting pictures in a new mail message using the " photo browser" button I can view and select photos but the " choose "  button is gone. What have I done wrong?

    Hi Liz,
    Sorry to hear you are having a similar problem.  Last night I went to the tool bar at the top of iphoto, clicked on "File",  then clicked "Browse Backups" in the drop down menu.    I have an external hard drive that is set up to Time Machine.   The Browse Backups  opened the iphoto pages in the Time Machine.  I selected a date one day ahead of the day I performed the now infamous update, and it showed my iphoto library as it had existed that day.   I then clicked  "Restore Library" at the bottom right corner of the Time Machine screen.   Roughly 2 hours later my iphoto was back to normal.   When I opened iphoto there was a message saying I need to upgrade my program to be compatible with the new version of iphoto(version 9.2.1).  I clicked "Upgrade" and within seconds it had done whatever upgrading it needed to do.
    The only glitch in the restoration was that it restored the library as it appeared last week, so I no longer had photos I had imported this past weekend.   I simply went back to the Browse Backups in the drop down menu,  when Time Machine opened I selected the page showing my pictures from this weekend and again said to Restore Library.   Roughly 45 minutes later the library was restored including the most recent photos.
    I am now a happy camper.
    I don't know if any of this will be of help to you because your email says you are having trouble with photos imported after the upgrade was performed.   Have you had any pop up notices when you first open iphoto,  that tell you you need an upgrade to be compatible with the new iphoto?     If so have you clicked "upgrade"?
    Good luck Liz,  if you have Time Machine running as a back up to your library, maybe you wil be able to get help there, by following my instructions above.   Otherwise,   good luck with your investigations.   I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.
    Karen
