Oracle Module Configurtion

Hello,
I am using OMBPLUS to deploy code into QA environment. I created locations and imported MDL into QA repository. Now I am trying to deploy tables and mappings. But before I do that I have to assign locations to the oracle modules. I tried doing following
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE '$TARGETMODULE' SET REFERENCE LOCATION 'ENT_STAR_LOCATION'
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE '$TARGETMODULE' SET REFERENCE METADATA_LOCATION 'ENT_STAR_LOCATION'
But when I try to deploy objects I get error.
'OMB05619: No Location defined for Module'
Am I missing anything ? Any help is appreciated. I am using OWB version 10.2.0.2.8.

we are trying the same for our QA..but we are facing the problems in process_flow_module..we are using the following commands for setting the location values...
OMBALTER PROCESS_FLOW_MODULE 'PF_MODULE' SET REFERENCE LOCATION 'ETL_LOCATION'
OMBALTER PROCESS_FLOW_MODULE 'PF_MODULE' SET PROPERTIES (DB_LOCATION) VALUES ('ETL_LOCATION')
but unable to set the value of evaluation location...
can anyone here give us an idea how the set evaluation location please...

Error while import Database Objects in Oracle Module

Hi All,
I am getting dialog window saying below error when I click on Finish button on Import database objects wizard for oracle module.
MMM 1034: Property ENCRYPT does not exist
When clicked on detail button on error window it show below errors in detail

Please see below information and steps I followed
1. My PC running on Windows 7 64 bit
2. Installed Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.1.0 software
3. Created a listner after insalling above database software
4. Created data warehouse database and unlocked OWBSYS and OWBSYS_AUDIT accounts
5. Set ORACLE_HOME=C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\
6. Set TNS_ADMIN=C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\NETWORK\ADMIN
7. After doing this I was able to connect all the source and data warehouse databases I am concerned with.
7. Installed Oracle Warehouse Builder Client 11.2.0.3.0 64 bit
8. Created repository using repository assistant insatlled duing database software.
9. Created oracle database module for the schema created under data warehouse database.
10. Tried to import database objects for the oracle module and got the error explained above when clicked on Finish
Please someone reply to this thread since I searched lot on google and didn't get any solution and not understanding what this issue is.

it looks like not all objects are created for XX_BPEL_CREATEUSEMP
synonyms and all grants are there ?

Error in creating oracle module

hi,
I work with oracle warehouse builder 10g and my database is 10g too.
I try to create oracle module. in the last step I made new location and click finish. I recieve following error :
Internal Error :SQL Exception.Please contact Oracle Support with the stack trace and details on how to reduce it.
Repository Error :SQL Exception..
Class Name : CAcheMediator.
Method Name :executeTransactionControlStatement.
Method Name:-1.
Repository Error Message :ORA-01086:savepoint 'SP' never established.
what should I do ??

Hi Shima,
This looks and smells like a database error. In order to post this transaction it must set a savepoint. However that seems to fail, so there is something wrong at the database level.
Can you do any inserts into tables on that database? Did anything happen on the DB, restores or something like that?

I would like to know what Admin module the following Oracle apps come under. For example, I know WSH (Shipping) comes under the Fulfillment Approver Admin. I would like similar information on the following modules.

OMB Plus to set CDC properties of Oracle Module

Hi,
Does anybody know if it is possible to set the CDC properties of an Oracle Module using OMB Plus?
I was thinking in the lines of
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MY_CDC_MODULE' SET PROPERTIES (CDC_CODE_TEMPLATE) VALUES ('PUBLIC_PROJECT/BUILT_IN_CT/JCT_10G_CONSISTENT_MINER')
but this does not work, and I can't see any appropriate properties in the documentation.
In addition to setting the CDC template I would like to be able to choose the tables to include in CDC using a script as well. Any help would be appreciated

I think I may need to clarify my question. I am no trying to alter a template mapping, I am trying to alter the properties of the Oracle Module that is the source for the CDC template mappings
What I am trying to do in the script is the same operation as you do in the Design Center when you expand Databases->Oracle and then double click your 'CDC_SOURCE_SYSTEM' (example name) module to get to the properties wizard. In there you can set 'Metadata Location', 'Data Location', 'CDC Code Template', and 'CDC tables'. The first two of these I am already setting in my script, what I am asking is how I can set the last two of these properties

Scripting active configuration deployment location for an oracle module

Hi,
Does anyone know how to script the setting of the active configuration deployment location for an oracle module?
I have executed the following which works fine but I can't figure out how to make it active so the module shows up in the control center to allow deployment.
I can of course do it manually in the design center by right clicking on the module in the design center, selecting 'Configure' and then (strangely) just selecting the location property which then automatically sets the active location and then it shows up in the control center.
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MOD_EXT' ADD REFERENCE LOCATION 'MIG_EXT_LOCATION' SET AS DEFAULT
Oracle module MOD_EXT altered.
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MOD_EXT' SET REFERENCE METADATA_LOCATION 'MIG_EXT_LOCATION'
Oracle module MOD_EXT altered.
Any ideas?

Hi Brad,
before you set the location you have to set the correct configuration (in case you use more configurations than the default "DEFAULT_CONFIGURATION") as active configuration:
OMBCAC 'MY_CONFIGURATION'

Hello Team,
Could you please understand the below requirement and give us some ideas on it.
We have one module which is registered with Oracle where it has Oracle forms and reports. Now, we have license problems with them and planning to create it as a custom module objects.
I am sure, my explanation won't help you to understand better. We have one customized module with oracle, which needs to be independent now.

Using different app module configurtions

Hi,
How can i configure which application module configuration a jheadstart application should use? I've got a number of configuration (one for development, one for testing, one for production, one for unit testing, etc). I think that jheadstart is using the configuration specified in DataBindings.cpx.
I would like to be able to specify a configuration at install time in the enterprise manager. How do i do this?

Which JHeadstart version do you use? If you are using 10.1.2, then JHeadstart does not do anything with the configurations, and leaves it all to ADF and ADF Business Components. You could post a question on the JDeveloper forum at http://otn.oracle.com/discussionforums/jdev.html.

How do i import tables from a repository to a module through OMBPLUS. Is there any command for it?

Well, there's a command OMBIMPORT that can only import an mdl file into a repository but not tables into the module. I wasn't able to figure out any command that could import a table into a module from the repository.

Tutor 14 and Visio. Can I use without other Oracle modules?

Can anyone clarify what I can do with Visio process maps and Tutor? I'm reading the implementation guide but it keeps referring to Oracle BPM and I don't think we have that. I was hoping to be able to use our exisitng Visio process maps in my Tutor procedures, but I'm not sure how to do it, and what the end result would be. I'd be grateful for any suggesions or examples anyone has. Thanks!

With Tutor Author, you can import a Visio VDX file. Depending on the quality of the visio flow diagram, it will be converted into the Tutor narrative text format and is formatted using the standard Tutor paratraph styles.
If you have Oracle BPM, you can import a VDX file into Oracle BPM and get a swimlane flow diagram that can be modified and used to help execute workflow.
The intent of the import model feature in both Oracle Tutor and Oracle BPM is to extend the use and value of the Visio diagram, since visio diagrams often become static and out of date quickly after being created.
If you are familiar with Tutor, you know how easy it is to update the narrative text of a procedure and then flowchart it in one click.

Hi,
I am an absolute beginner when it comes to Oracle ERP, but my query is quite simple and i would greatly appreciate any help.
I am looking for an Oracle Module , or software compatible with Oracle ERP that can help facilitate communications between the Recruitment specialist in a company and other departments (IT, Admin, Finance) to provide everything a new joiner needs.
For example if a new manager arrives, IT should provide a phone, laptop..etc . Admin should provide the corporate car and accomodation and Finance should have the payroll ready.
We need this to be provided through a simple trackable web interface.
Is there an Oracle Solution or a third party software that will fulfill this need?

You can perform this using checklist solution of HRMS.
As soon as new person hire as per position checklist could be created. Checklists is collection of tasks that should be perform by its owner.
Owner of these task change the status whether its completed or not.
