ORACLE QUEY PROBLEM

Question

dear all,
i m trying following query to count the now of days within a month according to the hour worked in a day based on condition.
for determing it, i m using case statement.. but not working in oracle form builder...
select
  SUM(CASE WHEN NVL(MANNUAL_HOURS,HW)<3.5 THEN 0
           WHEN NVL(MANNUAL_HOURS,HW)>=3.5 AND NVL(MANNUAL_HOURS,HW)<7.5 THEN 0.5
           WHEN NVL(MANNUAL_HOURS,HW)>=7.5 THEN 1
           ELSE 0 END)
  INTO DAYS
  from tbltimeregister1
  where PAYCODE='G0000157' AND
  TO_CHAR(DATEOFFICE,'MON-YYYY')='MAR-2013';pl tell me how to correct it to achieve result.

Hello,
Use DECODE() instead of CASE.
