Oracle UCM - How to view workflow reject reason

I have created a workflow
Contributor --> Reviewer1 --> Reviewer2 --> HOD Approval
If Reviewer1 or Reviewer2 or HOD Approval "REJECT" the document it redirected to most recent workflow step. While reject they enter "reject reason" but the reject reason is not shown to most recent workflow user.
I need a solution to over come this

You should read the readme.txt more carefully. It clearly states:
"If desired, the include display_reject_reason might be used to display the reason." (i.e. it has not been added to any page yet)
What you still need to do is to add a line <$include display_reject_reason$> somewhere in workflow_review_frames.htm (or find an include where this can be added).

Hi,
Assigning a default Reason for Rejection is not in standard SAP. I am sure there is some enhancement/user exit which updates the reason for rejection.
Please get the help of an ABAPer, create the sales order in debugging mode and he will find out the logic behind the automatic reason for rejection.
Before that you can find the exits in the include MV45AFZZ for any code related to this.

Implement Oracle UCM 11.11.5 Workflow (idoc scripting)

We are using Oracle UCM 11.1.1.5.
We have a 3 stages workflow. The stages are called as "Preparation", "Verification" and "Approval". We use Aliases. Users can be a members of many Aliases. But our requirement is a same user can't approve two subsequent steps. Lets say a user is member of all aliases. Hence he will be able to approve all stages of the workflow. But our requirement is the document who prepared should not be allowed to approve it in the verification stage. The system should throw a warning message. in the same way the person who approves in the verification stage should not be allowed to approve it in the "Approval" stage. Can we use idoc scripting to do that? Please give some idea and sample scripts to do this.
The question we have are how we can identify the previous stage approver and how we can display warning message on the screen when a same approver trying to approve again in the subsequent stages?

How to create workflow Rejection Handler

Hi Experts,
In workflow, how shall I create Rejection Handler.
In case of Rejection, I want to update some meta data.... and jump the workflow to first step ...
Generally in case rejection , worklow always jumps to previous step.
Please help me achieving these two (meta data update and jump to first step in workflow ( no matter which step has rejection action)).

here's how I would go about doing this...
in the entry event of EACH step I would write a code snippet that did this
1) check for wfAction of reject
2) if found, update the metadata values
3) then jump to the first step in the workflow
The code might look like this:

of course you can also include additional functions to send a special message like:
<$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "0")$>
<$wfSet("wfJumpMessage", "Please Restart the Workflow")$>
But the lines above are the only ones you need to route the workflow accordingly.
There are several things to remember:
1) rejections happen immediately. That means that you have to look for their existence in the entry event of the step they roll back INTO.
2) if you're using wfUpdateMetaData it will only work on custom metadata fields (i.e. those prefixed with a lower case "x")
3) if you need to update a standard metadata field like dSecurity group or dAccount or dDocTitle etc you'll need to write a custom component for that or buy one from someone (yes, we have them if you're interested - see our Workflow Solution Set here: http://bit.ly/95Rocu).
4) if you expect multiple kinds of rejections or need different kinds of actions for different kinds of rejections then you'll need some more conditions in your IF statements.

I have checked the idc analyze. "check search index" is not running shows error. please check the log file below without selecting "check search index" other three(check database, check file system, generate report) ends with 0 errors. Is there any other solution to clear the workflow items?

From your description above, it's recommended to use the method below.
By default, the DataReader loads incoming data as a row as soon as an entire row of data is available. Binary large objects (BLOBs) need different treatment, however, because they can contain gigabytes of data that cannot be contained in
a single row. The Command.ExecuteReader method has an overload that will take a
CommandBehavior argument to modify the default behavior of the
DataReader. You can pass SequentialAccess to the
ExecuteReader method to modify the default behavior of the
DataReader so that instead of loading rows of data, it will load data sequentially as it is received. This is ideal for loading BLOBs or other large data structures. Further information:

Quality Rejection reason

Dear Sir's,
Our user wants to see the Rejection reason in stock report i.e MB52,MB51.
Is it any t-code where we can seen the Block stock with rejection reason.
The rejection reason feed at the time of "Usage Decision".

It is not possible to view the rejection reason in MB52 as it is a Stock report.
You can get the rejection reason details in Reason for Movement column in MB51 report.

Solution needed for the below problem in oracle IPM/UCM cluster .
General Scenario :
The document checked in Oracle UCM can be viewed through IPM Viewer only if the security group of the document is set to a IPM Profile .
The IPM Profile is created in Oracle UCM Configuration Manager Component whenever a application is created in IPMServer .
Issue in Clustering :
IPMApplication created in host 1 is creating profile in UCM Component Manager of host 1 but not in UCM Host2 component manager (Vice Versa).
This affects url generations of checked in documents through proxy since the IPM profile is not available in cluster.

OOM PermGen... How to view the content of permgen

I have a pretty big java application running on windows and linux (redhat) using JBoss as the application server.
The application has been running for a long time without issues and now, with the end of a new release of our software, under heavy load, we are running out of perm gen space.
What I would like to see is a tool that lets me view the content of the perm gen space so I can determine why we are using so much memory.
I am aware of jmap -permstat (on linux only) that should let you view some info about permgem but for me, jmap connects to the java process and never comes back. I tried a profiler (jprofiler) and again, I can't find info about what is occupying the permgen memory space.
Can someone suggest tools, or methods to get to the content of the permgen space so I can determine what our issue is?

Workflow ByPass Approve - Oracle UCM 11g

I need to enable the option *"ByPass Approve Link"* for steps action in a Criteria Workflow.
In Oracle UCM Documentation (__http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e10978/c05_workflows.htm#CIHFBGEJ__) said the link appears in Workflow Actions as default for users who has Read permission, but doesnt it.
Please, if someone knows how to enable this link. Its urgent.

UCM supplies webservice interfaces which let you retrieve the filecontent by soap calls from UCM (http://ucmhost/_dav/cs/idcplg for example). (maybe you should enable some settings on ucm to have this webservice interface getting published).
This services for example has 2 operations getFileByID and getFileByName.
So you can just call these services from within OSB.
After that you need to do some tests if you eitherway need to create a file-transport business-service and call this one from your proxy service or create a messageType proxyservice (binary) which calls this file-transport business service to be able to write fo filesystem.
I think for the OSB book i used a jca file adapter generated in Jdeveloper and used that one to write to filesystem.

How to send file as attachment in Email in Oracle UCM

I have created a simple html form which executes my custom service( internally calls java method) to send a email "forms data" to the user. I need to send file as attchment in email so how i can do it in oracle ucm.Currently i am using intradoc api.I am using a jquery plugin for sending forms data including uploaded file.
function which i am using in java for sending emails:-

I have set method="post" and enctype="multipart/form-data" in the form

From what I remember, there isn't an "out of the box" solution since InternetFunctions only provides some basic email functions (try decompiling the class to see what's available).
Here's the link for the original Stellent 10gR3 sample components: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/content-management/index-092832.html. Take a look at the AcmeMail component within the HowTo Components sample. It shows how to create a custom idcservice that sends basic emails. You can use that as a baseline for creating your own email service and then use something like JavaMail to implement attachments. That's what I did.

How to identify the files that are exported but still present in Oracle UCM

I am using Oracle UCM 11g on Windows OS.
I want to know that if i have exported the contents from Oracle UCM to external file system, but keeping the contents and metadata into the Oracle UCM. How one will be able to identify that the contents that are being exported? Will there be any attribute set for any such contents indicating that these contents were exported?
Your help or hint will help me out in resolving the problem.
