Download OracleLite

I want to download OracleLite for Windows CE. I do not find Oracle 10g Lite for Windows CE on OTN. Then I go to Oracle 9i Lite with the following link.

After the zipped files are downloaded, I use WinZip to open it and WinZip stated that it is a bad archive.
Please direct me where I have to go to download OracleLite.

It's possible that it's a limitation of your firewall. I already had such problem and was a network (firewall) problem: the last bits of the download were always cutted.

Do you have access to Oracle Lite server or at least to the OL server installation files? When you run Oracle Lite server installation, you're prompted about the components of OL you'd like to install. One of the components is MDK (Mobile Development Kit - for WindowsCE in your case) which contains the assembly you need...

Oracle lite with JDBC crashes

I am connecting to an Oracle lite database on NT Server 4.0 with
JDBC and trying to run an simple insert statement. If I try to
run the same statement again (which should throw an exception
since the pk already exists) I get an application error - not an
exception as expected - I get the same thing when executing a
"delete from.." stmt on an empty table. These same stmts work
fine in Oracle8i.
Also, if I use access with ODBC to view the tables access will
often freeze up on me.
Any Help would be appreciated.

Mobile Infrastructure Client on Windows CE (not Windows Mobile)

Hi there,
from my experience with SAP ME/MI, Windows CE was not officially supported but, it was possible to install a Creme on an WindowsCE-Device and afterwards install the MI-Client CAB-File for mobile devices.
Now I have the problem, that with a Windows CE 5.0 Device the MI CAB-File doasn't extract on the device (MI Client 7.0 SP09) but reports an error and asks me to try again.
Now I have two questins:
1) Does anybody know, why the MI Client doesn't extract ?
2) Which files/folders must be used when manually installing the MI client on the mobile device

P.S.: One or the other may ask, why we go for WindowsCE-Devices an not for Windows Mobile devices. The answer is: They are much much much much faster than Windows Mobile Devices. I never before saw response-times within an MI-Application below 2 seconds

To answer your 2 questions and adding to what Karthik mentioned, here are my suggestions.
1) Does anybody know, why the MI Client doesn't extract ?
A. Probably you need to apply Microsft patch containing WCEload.exe file. Please refer to the following MSFT sites for the solution

2) Which files/folders must be used when manually installing the MI client on the mobile device?
A. MI delivers an umcompressed version of its installation which can be manually copied on to PDA. Refer to this thread for details change default settings on MI client before installation on device From this version copy the MIServer.lnk file to \Windows\Startup folder and the entire contents contatined in cab folder to \MI folder which needs to be created on your device

I� am worry about the shipment off Personal Profile and CDC.
How long must we wait so that Sun will decide to launch this product?!!!
And what about Personal Java for WindowsCE 3.0 (not a beta release, a final and stable one)? There are VM that we can buy (Insignia), but the principles of Sun and Java are Open Source and free licenses not Open Source BUY IT?!!!!! Besides that this version do not support the possibility to access to MS Pocket Access Database...
Does anyone know something about this?

Why don't you use J2SE instead, that way you don't have to wait for J2ME anymore!!!!!

Flash player for mini netbook with windowsCE 5.0 ???

Help !!!!
We bought our 2 sons a mini netbook each with windows CE 5.0 but no matter how many times we have tried we are unable to download any flash player onto them, is this windows not compatable with flash player ????

since this happens in a new user account too, we can presumably exclude the user settings for enable plug-ins, which would cause a near-identical problem (Blank plug-ins page), as well as Safari extensions & other per-account add-ons.
Do you have any add-ons in HD/Library/InputManagers/ ?
tried quitting Safari, temporarily moving all except the Flash Player.plugin from HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ & testing again ?
(sometimes a plugin can interfere with others on Safari, yet other browsers behave normally)

I need to make a connection to SQLServer 2008 which is on my developer machine, later it will be SQL Server on some production machine from .Net Compact Framework developed app on WindowsCE.
When I using local sdf file I use SqlCeConnection for DB connection but how to connect from same app local SQL Compact databse and SQL Server on some server.

Jdbc driver for SQL Server CE (Mobile SQL)

Hi All,
I am in a process of devloping a mobile application in WindowsCE 5.0 with javaME (Java crEme). I am using MobileSQL as DB on the device. So just wanted to know is there any jdbc driver available in javaME to connect MObileSQL?

I used Sun's jdbc odbc driver for a while, with no problems, with Sql Server 7. But anyways, if you want a free type 4 driver, you can get the freetds driver at

Registering the mobile device on mobile server for linux platforms

Dear all,
My scenario fits like dis.........
I m using oracle 9i and oraclelite 10g on redhat linux 9 platform.I m using a handheld EPOS device activated with GPRS.It is basically a swiper machine which is used for bank transactions.The port which I m using are Serial port and USB.my device is not getting detected in WEBTOGO.I heard that I should register my device with the mobile server.but i dont know how to register on linux platforms....I've got a MAC Id for my EPOS device.....cud i do anything with MAC Id?.....and where I have to see whether the device has been detected?
if any body used oracle lite 10g on linux platforms,plz make me a call.
I dont know how to use msql in linux platforms?...how to create a database using msql?

Did you install anything from Oracle Lite on that EPOS device of yours ? If so, how did you install and what did you install ?
Usually, when you install a Oracle Lite client on the device, the device should get registered during installation.
Do let us know what you have done.

Running labview application on windowsCE or WindowsXPe

does anyone have experience of running labview application on windowsCE or windows xp embedded system? I would like to build an lv application which plays videos on a CE or XPe system. Any comments are welcome.

I use the PDA Module for LabVIEW to run programs on Windows CE and Windows Mobile. You have to use a PC for the development and building of the application, then either use ActiveSync or copy the .exe over to the CE device. There are some limitations in the code and the user interface, but most things work fine.
I haven't actually tried video yet on CE, perhaps that is something I can play with soon.

Missing olStream.h in Oracle Database Lite 10g installation for Windows

I installed OracleLite 10g 10.3.0.1.0 for Windows, both the „Mobile Server“ and the „Mobile Development Kit“ named „Olite_10g_1“ in path D:/program file/Oracle/Oracle10g_1 each.
The „Oracle Universal Installer“ listed all components as „installed“ (with the only exception of „Oracle Database Lite MDK for Symbian 10.3.0.1.0“).
Building my MS Visual C++ Studio project then failed when compiling soda.h: „Cannot open include file: ‚olStream.h‘“.
Neither has been successful my own search for the file olStream.h.
How can I install olStream.h?
