OracleXMLSQLException: 6-byte UTF8 encoding not supported

Hi,
I am trying to upload XML data through the Oracle XML SQL Utility (XSU). I am running JDK 1.3.1 on the Windows client and 8.1.6 on the Solaris server. Now this works fine, but when the XML data contains German umlauts (dv|), I get the following exception:
oracle.xml.sql.OracleXMLSQLException: 6-byte UTF8 encoding not supported.
at oracle.xml.sql.dml.OracleXMLSave.saveXML(OracleXMLSave.java:2093)
at oracle.xml.sql.dml.OracleXMLSave.insertXML(OracleXMLSave.java:1101)
Since our database stores Umlauts (also through JDBC), I assume this has to do either with my client JVM or the Oracle libraries (xsu12.jar or xmlparserv2.jar)
This is quite important to our project and as I don't know how to proceed, any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

UTF8 Encoding Not working

I am facing a problem and i couldn't find any solution online
I am using Quest Active Roles Management Shell and having problem with Encoding. In My Dev, I am getting the correct data with properly encoded. But when i try the same code in my Production environment, i am not getting it right

Desired Output with encoding will have Portugese charectors like ÃÁÍÇÕÓÔÚÜÀÁ. In dev, it is fine, In Prod , it shows like ��
I don't see much difference between my Dev and Prod Environment, But the output file in Dev has Type as "System.Management.Automation.PSObject" where as in production as "Selected.Quest.ActiveRoles.ArsPowerShellSnapIn.Data.ArsUserObject"
It's a Windows 2008 server in both Dev and Prod

I think there is a problem with the system settings or some service .I am getting the following error in the PRD system when i change the code page to 65001 and ran the command when i try to show the output on the screen itself

if it's possible, configure your clients (users who are entering the euro symbol) with character set=WE8ISO8859P15. This supports the symbol (WE8ISO8859P1 does not)

Safari 5.1.1 browser is not support double byte character website.

In have installed 5.1.1 Safari, the double byte characters are not supporting in this browser. The same site(http://home.mcafee.com/Default.aspx/?culture=zh-cn) works fine in Firefox and IE8. The site also works fine in my friends system Safari 5.1.1. Do I need to install any plugin or change any settings?
Note : I have installed Windows 7 Language packages.

We are in the process of migrating our Web Application from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10.1.0.5. Our Web Application runs under WebLogic 9.1 Server and uses Oracle XSQL APIs to store CLOB Data in Database. We are using ojdbc14.jar as well as xsu12.jar and other required Oracle XSQL Libraries.
We observed the following error

What is the cause of this issue? How to resolve this issue?

FLV supporting but .mp4 (H.264 encoded) video not supporting in mobile browser?

I want to know one things, is there any other settings required to publish the swf file for playing mp4 file in mobile browser also. I am able to play ".FLV" in mobile browser but not able to play ".MP4" (H.264 encoded) in my mobile browser.
MP4 file required Flash Player 10 to play video I know this,I can watch video from youtube.com in mobile bowser also.

Are you using Flash Lite Plug-in or Flash Player Plug-in on your mobile browser. I have a feeling that you are using Flash Lite Plug-in and flash lite plug-in (latest is 4.0 i suppose) does not support H264 encoded files.
MP4 file which you are playing from youtube might not be H264 encoded , it might be On2 VP6 which is supported in MP4 container.

The Java API documentation (the bit about character encodings) mentions "ISO-8859-1" but not "ISO8859-1". Try that instead?

Error message when uploading: my server does not support byte-range requests

Hi I am trying to get a pocast up on itunes - I am first just sending a test mp3 - ebenezer.bruceclark.eu/podcast.xml. I have validated the xml keeping it to a minimum and constantly get the message saying my server does not support byte-range requests. Once I got some meassage about "White spaces are required between publicId and systemId". It all seems so random I am using Drupal 7 cms with views_rss module + itunes elements. It's been my 3rd night into the early morning and I need to sort this out for my client.

Your feed does not contain an 'enclosure tag' which would contain the URL of your mp3 file, so at the moment it basically has no content and would be of no use to iTunes. You may find it helpful to read this page which gives you basic information on making a podcast:

Note that when you do get it working and submitting, the iTunes Store won't accept a podcast which is merely a technical test: they need to see at least one proper episode so that they can check that your podcast does not contain unsuitable material.

Looks like this error is comming from the Informix JDBC Driver.
what version of the JDBC Driver are you using and is there anything special
about the character set you used to create your database?
Can you build a simple Java app to connect to the same database with the same JDBC Driver?

FX5600VTDR "not supported" in Media Encoder 9

Hi all,
I have an MSI FX5600VTDR128 graphics card, and am trying to stream video from the s-video input onto my LAN using Windows Media Encoder 9.
The problem is that I don't get any picture in the Encoder preview window, just a message saying "not supported". The "start broadcasting" button works, but it just broadcasts a blank screen, the same as shown on the preview window.
I have set the assorted settings correctly, as far as I can tell, and tried all the options I can think of. Nothing works.
The video is getting in to the PC, as I can make a movie in Windows Movie Maker" with no problems.
According to MS's help, Media Encoder is compatible with capture devices that use WDM drivers (which I have installed from nVidia's download site).
Any help???

so it appears that h264 is indeed supported. Still not sure what is going on.
Are you trying to play the ripped H.264 on the STB using Media Manager? Or on the PC? If it's the former, than you are out of luck. The STB only suppots AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP/3G2, MPG (non-MPEG2 videos), and MP4/M4V (non-H.264 videos). See this page link.

Double-click on the project settings.
Select Compiler
Change character encoding.
