Organize Reader Library

Help. I need some help with organizing my eReader Library. Is there a way to move books I have read into a "Have Read" file or maybe flag those books that I have read? I do not want to delete the books I have purchased as I may want to read them again. I have a Daily Edition eReader and I am sorry I do not have the model number as it is not printed on the device. I looked on your website for the model number but it isn't listed there either. According to your website the model number is supposed to be either on the front or back of the device but I can not seem to find it.
Can you help?

The model number is located on the back panel of the unit.
If you have a daily edition then the above poster is correct, you have a PRS-900

You can add and delete books in your library and not ever worry about losing them. you can re download them from the store whenever you like, its your book! we simply keep your purchased books cataloged for you on file so you may have unlimited access to them without worry of additional charges or storage space.

another suggestion is to create a collection and title it - Books previously read. or something like that

My 2007 public folders are only used for Organizational Forms Library

I have migrated all of our users from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 and in order to complete the migration we need to put our Outlook Organizational Forms Library on the new server, which I understand is stored in public folders. We do not
need anything in our existing single public folder. We have just one Outlook form and I can recreate it, but it won't let me create a new public folder on my new Exchange 2013 server because it says that there is an existing Public Folder deployment
detected. I don't really need to migrate anything, but I can't seem to go forward until the server thinks it doesn't need migration. How do I do that?

How do I transfers books from ADE to Sony Reader Library?

Got new Sony e reader and want to transfer books from my Adobe Digital Editions library and cant get my Adobe Library to recognize my Sony Reader. Have been live chatting with Adobe and Sony to no avail all day yesterday. Hope someone out there can help me. valeff

Since changing our computer I have been unable to download ebooks to my Reader Library I get a message Some file types associated with EPUB files are not associated with Reader Library; Waterstones suggest that I may have accidentally created a new Adobe

When I try to download them from the Waterstones website I get a message saying:
‘Some file types associated with EPUB files are not associated with Reader Library. Do you want to associate them now? When I reply yes I get another message; ‘Configuration error unable to update EPUB files check network firewall and try again’.
The ‘books’ are saved in the Download directory and I can’t transfer them from there to my E-Reader. I have not had any problems before, it was very simple; I saved the download and it automatically went into the Reader Library.
I contacted HP and they said it is a software error and suggested I contact Waterstones. I contacted Waterstones Customer Support and got the following response:
As the error message is specifically mentioning the firewall it does sound like something in the firewall settings is stopping the download from taking place correctly. However, the files should not be being saved to the Download folder. It would be worth trying again by going to your Digital Order History on your Waterstones.com account and pressing the download button, and then making sure to press "Open" not "Save". When you press Open rather than Save it should give the option to open the file with Adobe Digital Editions. If the firewall message still comes up then I'm afraid something is blocking it on your end.
If the above "Open" download method works but you then still get an error message it could possibly be that you have accidentally created a new Adobe ID when setting up on the new computer, rather than signing in with your old Adobe ID. It would be worth trying the aforementioned download technique again first, but if problems did still persist it would be worth calling Adobe themselves on 0207 365 0735, as they should be able to sort out any account issue.
In response to the first para of Waterstones email I already do what they suggest I do press ‘Open’ not ‘Save’ but I don’t get the open with Adobe Digital Editions (we have installed Adobe Digital Editions on the new computer. Waterstones say we may have ‘accidentally created a new Adobe ID when setting up the new computer’ does that mean that we shouldn’t have installed Adobe Digital Editions on the new computer as it would have already been there? How do I sign in with my old Adobe ID?

Hi all after attampting to get some supoport from adobe by phone.... nice people infurating policys as far as support for digital editions or DRM is conserned... However I got no where with support.
I ended up instaling Digital editions on my desktop PC and going through the motions of registering and borrowing a book then returning it. Then I trying on my iPad, Bluefire worked, Over drive did not so I completely removed Overdrive and reinstalled and re registered. all working now.
Maybe some one at adobe did something. Maybe the install of the adobe DE client on a PC corrected what ever was out of wack with my account. Mayby the server that my account lives on did a scan disk and corrected a bad clustrer.
What ever happend My account is actiove and working again. hope this helps others.

Unable to Manage custom forms in Exchange 2013 Public Folders or Organizational Forms Library

We've been doing custom forms development for many years and many versions of Exchange. This Exchange 2013 presented me with this new problem. We use Exchange 2013 with Cumulative Update 5, and Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013. This problem
happens on all versions of the latest patched Outlooks.
1) I have successfully created a Public Folder and an Organizational Forms Library
2) I have granted myself "Owner" privilege to the entire public folder in both the IPM_Subtree and the Non_IPM_Subtree
3) I can publish forms into a Public Folder and the Organizational Forms Library
But, after the form is published, I can't manage it. The COPY, UPDATE, DELETE, PROPERTIES, and SAVE AS buttons are greyed out.
This does not happen for anything in my Personal Forms, my Mailbox or anything in Favorites that are locally cached.
Since the Organizational Forms Library cannot be "Cached" by putting it in Favorites, there seems to be NO way to even delete a form that is published to there.

A) Anybody else have the same problem?
B) Since it seems I only have control over forms in my Mailbox, and since Public Folders are suppose to be an mailbox, does anyone know how to setup a Public Folder so that you can login to it and attach it as a mailbox?
C) Does anyone know how to make the Organizational Forms Library cached locally so it can be managed?

Easy steps to reproduce the problem.
1) create a public folder subfolder (do not create a Favorite)
2) make yourself and OWNER
3) publish a form to the subfolder (Open a any form and save it with any name)
4) use the Form Manager select the public folder subfolder that you are an OWNER of
5) select a form and see if the buttons are GRAYED out.
PLEASE TRY THIS ON YOUR OWN SYSTEMS TO VERIFY THE PROBLEM.

WARNING: The Reader device should never be ejected under the following conditions or permanent damage to the Reader device may occur:
NOTES:
A data transfer is in progress
Your computer is accessing the Reader device or compatible memory card inserted in the Reader device.
A file in the Reader device or a compatible memory card in the Reader device is open.
If you are not transferring any data and would like to disconnect your Reader device, click the eject button in the Reader (eBook) Library software. The message on your Reader device will now be USB connected and you can safely remove the connection or continue to charge.
NOTE: If you have already closed the Reader Library software, you can use the Safely Remove Hardware feature of the Windows® operating system to disconnect your Reader device from the computer.

Organizational Forms Library FORM LOAD FAILS for one user

I have a user who is unable to pull up any of the forms listed in the Organizational Forms Library under the Developer Tab within Outlook
2010. Any other person on the same PC has no issues with the same thing. The user in question does not have any issues pulling up the same forms on any other PC.
I suspect it was a profile issue so I logged in as admin then deleted the outlook folder under C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
for the user in question.
Then logged back in as the user and let Outlook recreate the profile again. Still no go with being able to pull a form up.
Any suggestions?
Is there a registry key I should be playing with?

Outlook 2010 caches the names of the forms in the Exchange Organizational Forms Library. The cache expires every 24 hours. If a new form in the Organizational Forms Library has not been cached, Outlook displays an error. Please try to use the following
registry to lower the timeout or disable it and then check the issue again.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Forms\ClassNamesCache
DWORD: Timeout
Decimal Value (in hours): 1 - 24
DWORD: Disabled
Value: 1

Reader library software small view

Hi,
My mom is using a Sony PRS-600. She used reader library software v. 3.3 (She tried the new version but didn't liked it) so I re-install the old version.
Everything was great until yesterday. The view of the software is too small.
Her notbook is an ASUS and she's with Windows 7.
Please do you have an idea of what to do to give her back the normal view of the software.

Is all the print too small? even when using your Internet Browser?
if everything appears too small hold down the [Ctrl] Key then press the [+] or [-] keys accordingly, or if your mouse has a scroll wheel use that to adjust.
If your issue is the font of words if reading books on the computer
click the small Settings toolbox in the lower right corner
then select [+] under font size to increase the size of the words. if both pages appear and you want only one to show at a time change page layout from 2 pages to 1

Reader Library Application

I bought the eBook, Cracking the AP Calculus AB & BC Exams, 2014 Edition, and the Reader Library App crashed when it tried to download the eBook. Of course, it's in my transaction history and my "Purchased Content" list so I was able to go there and re-download it. However, when I tried to re-download the eBook, the Reader Library App crashed again. I've already paid for the book, but whenever I try to download it, the Reader Library App crashes and I have no idea how to fix it. No other eBook gives me this problem.

First of all:
An .acsm (Adobe Content Server Manager) file, is not an ebook and does not contains any ebook inside. It’s only a download manager file!
Acsm is a file format used to provide Digital Rights Management(DRM) for e-books. But only Adobe DRM-protected ebooks. It contains a link of a server, on where is located the “real” ebook file, permissions etc.. After opening an acsm file and if everything is OK (permissions, links, etc.), starts downloading of the real ebook file. This file now, is an .epub or a .pdf one, but encoded and you need a device authorized with the same Adobe ID to read it.
All "Sony Reader Library" apps and "Sony Readers Devices" contain Adobe’s “technology parts”, in order to manage this type of file.
On your case, it should be an issue with your "Sony Reader Library app" (if the app that you use, is a Sony one).

New late 2012 iMac with Mountain Lion - won't open Reader Library

Everything transferred from my old iMac (2009) to my new iMav (late 2012), except for the READER LIBRARY. It won't open on the desktop, and it won't open or recognize my Sony e-reader.

I'm about to attempt the same thing -- migrate everything from my old iMac (running 10.6.8) to a brand-new iMac (running Mountain Lion).
Still using FCP7, with no intention of switching to FCP X.
Should Migration Assistant work for me? Would updating my old iMac to Mountain Lion first make a difference? (I've already purchased it for my laptop, just haven't used it on my iMac).

Where can I get Sony reader library software for PRS 505? I haven't used it for a long time and now want to use it with my Windows 7 pc and/or Macbook Pro. Neither computer has the software and I don't have the CD.

PRS650 autorisation without Reader Library?

Win7, PRS650.
Downloaded free ebooks copied them to ereader, all ok.
Now I like to buy ebooks.
Installed ADE, autorised pc: so far OK.
Download book with DRM (free ebook samples at the adobe site), which can be read on pc screen (within ADE).
Connected PRS650 with USB nothing happened*.
Tried another usb port: still no autorisation question from ADE to autorise the ereader.
I don't see any icon in ADE or option to store the ebook to the ereader.
I refuse to install Reader Library software from Sony (crap).
Question: is it possible to autorise/recognise the PRS650 only using ADE?
*except that Windows give two autoplay popups with "what do you want to do with those drives?" When I use explorer I have access to READER and SETTINGS drive of the PRS650.

I've reading the F1 for a thousand of times or so, did every stepp (it is stupid simple) but no success at all.
This is the text from Adobe/F1:
Adobe Digital Editions allows you to transfer items from your library to a supported eReader device.
(>>PRS650 is supported)
Connect the supported eReader device to your computer and launch Digital Editions.
(>> I did)
Digital Editions automatically detects the presence of your device and offers to authorize it with your Adobe ID.

Both Digital Editions and the device must be authorized to be able to transfer protected content to and from the device.

Unprotected content can be transferred... etc. not relevant stuff.
So if I installed ADE on two different computers from scratch (never insalled ADE before on them, and both computers are relative new/clean), both computers were autorised with the same account and that process worked without a hitch, then I think, is there something with my PRS650?
Do I have to do some pre-configuration or pre-autorisation my PRS650?
I emphasis that DRM free books were stored on this ereader by drag & drop in WIN7 explorer and that worked right away!
I used Calibre too, and transfered DRM free ebooks and freee newspapers too, all ok.
Frustrated as I am, because we can't read bought ebooks, I picked up another ereader we have. A Sony PRS350.
You guessed: problem is same. If I had plugged him before or while ADE was run, it doesn't matter, no recognition of the ereader from ADE.

What will happen to the organization of library if I removed the songs from windows explorer? Will iTunes automatically updated without all the deleted songs, or it will indicate 'missing location'? Any fast ways to clear this 'missing location' songs?

Background: I found it easier to identify duplicated songs in windows explorer as the songs will be renamed .... 1.mp3, thus enabling me to remove the duplicated songs; unlike in iTunes where I know the trick of showing duplicate songs, but you don't know which one is the one with 1 at the end of the file name.

One way is to use iTunes Folder Watch with its option to check for dead tracks on start up.
Another option is with a set of Lost & Found playlists.
Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist. Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist. You can delete them all with a Ctrl-A to select them and Shift-Delete to remove them.
You can then delete the Lost & Found playlists.
