Original libraries attached to form

Generating a form using designer6i, w2000 result in to many attachments: headstart libraries and original libraries:
ofgmes and ofgmes65
ofgtel and ofgtel65
etc.
Same designer version on NT generates correct form.
Does anyone know why?

It looks like the ofg*65 libs (from Headstart) are attached via the Headstart Event handler and the *ofg Designer libs via Designer generator. Set the libs to attach by designer to the Headstart version.
You can do this in the registry:

Hi,
You have the choice between xml or pdf, in later versions of designer you can choose with a dropdown on the email button Object palette, the "Submit As";
In earlier version you had to edit the XML Source and change the format from xml to pdf (or vice-versa);

How can I attach a form PDF to an email

In Acrobat 8, you could add a button to a form that would attach the form to an email so you could send it to individual addresses. So I could create a form, and add a employees name and address to it, then send it to that individuals email address for them to complete and return via a submit button.
That feature seems to have been removed from Acrobat X. Does anyone know how to get around it?

It was a button option - I haven't got access to Acrobat 8 here at home, but it was something like
Add menu item
File - attach to email
When the button was clicked, the email application would open with a new email and the PDF would be attached, so you could enter the recipients email address and send.

Business rules attached to form

Business rules attached to form was disappeared, after we install 9.3.1 shared services services pack1.BR's is there in EAS and i can run them from there.But i can not see them in any where in planning.I am not able to see in the list of BRs, when i am creating new form as well.I checked the securityin EAS for Brs, it is same as before,i added our admin group as well, still ican not see in planning....

In EAS, check if the outline selected points to the application under the Planning server.
Check for the access privileges and locations within EAS.
Restart EAS, RMI and Planning. Login to Planning as the Planning administrator, then into EAS and check.
Try using another administrator rather than the default admin.

PDF flyer with attached Data Form how do i upload pdf and submit data simultaneously?

Scenerio user downloads pdf flyer template with attached data form. user customizes flyer and fills out form. user clicks on custom "Submit" button to send form data to php form.
On submit, how can i upload the pdf flyer to our server AND still send the form data to php form?
maybe the local file(pdf) address is sent to the php form along with the form data, then i can use php to upload the file automatically.
any sugguestion???

Hi Mr AP,
are you trying to do this in Reader or in Acrobat? If you're using Reader it won't work unless the form is reader-extended by either LC Reader Extensions on the server or by running it through Acrobat manually and extend the capabilities of the form for reader users (careful - the license of the latter is limited to 500 form recipients).
If you did try it in Reader with a non-extended form the behaviour you'd see is that it just won't work, so that might be your issue.

Status Change with Compulsory Original File Attachment

Hi,
We have created a document with 3 statuses (Created, Acknowledged, Released).
DIR will be created with "Created" status.
When the status will change to u201CAcknowledgedu201D system should check whether the DIR has a original file checked in. i.e. Changing status should be have mandatory condition of original is attached.
Same for the transition from "Acknowledged" to "Released"
How to do this?

INBOUND EMAILS with attached interactive form

Hello,
i have send an Email with attached Interactive form to a customer. The customer filled out the form and send it back to the mail-adress that i defined in SCOT! There is a class for rule defined, but i Don`t know if the class is correctly implemented.
But then...where is the email?
i don`t receive it?
Is there anywhere a full code example where i can see how this works???
Is ist better if the cusomer send me an xml or an PDF?

Attach a form objects to another form

Hi, excuse me if my question is evident for you, i am a little new with oracle form,
i want to know if it is possible to attach a form objects to another form and how to do that. Thanks for your help.

You cannot attatch a whole form (.fmb) to you form but you can subclass blocks canvas for example.
open your form A and B
in your reference form A select the block you want to have in form B (subclassed) and select and drag it to B.
You will have a popup saying "do you want to copy the object ir subclass it ?" choose sublass and you are ready...
Do the same with canvas.
but PAY ATTENTION !!!! this method seems very useful if you have let say a identical master block for different forms.
but you have to handle it with precautions as every changes made in form A will be reflected to all your sub-classed forms B, B1, B2 .... and could cause you designs problems
if for example you master form A width change to something larger than one of you B forms.

This property is set when you attach a PL/SQL library to a Forms module. If you requested that the directory path be retained, this property will be the full pathname of the library. If you requested that the directory path be removed, this property will be just the library name.
This property is displayed only for your information. You cannot set or change it through the property palette.

You can use Regedit and do it manually. I am not sure but it seems to me that using Software Packager for deploying application can also change registry environment variables.

How can I attach a form to an email with TO address default in?

I have a form with a hyperlink to an email address. I want to have it when the user clicks the hyperlink the form attaches to an email with the address filled out. I have figured out how to open an email with the email filled out; and how to open an email with the form attached - but not both. I am not very familiar with JavaScript - but I have to believe there is a way to "Execute a menu item -- File>Attach to email..." AND "open a web link -- Mailto:[email protected]".
