Есть программа (в принципе, это может быть любое приложение), которая с помощью утилиты imagecfg.eхе /u была модифицирована для запуска на одном ядре. Всего в системе 4 ядра. Если запустить 4 экземпляра программы,
они последовательно займут ядра с 0 по 3. При дальнейших запусках, все экземпляры программы будут попадать на 0 ядро. Запуск программы с параметром аффинити 0х?? после запуска четырех экземпляров
тоже не работает. Каким образом можно обойти эту ошибку?

There is a program (this may be any application) that has been modified using a utility imagecfg.exe /u to run on a single processor core. Total number of cores in system is four. If you run 4 copies of the program, they sequentially will run on the cores
from 0 to 3. For subsequent startups, all instances will be running on zero core. Running the program using parameter affinity 0x?? after running four instances still does not work. How to get around this bug?

Why single core only on a MBP13 Core i5 w/ VMware Fusion + Win7 BootCamp Partition

1. When I boot into OS X and launch VMware Fusion running Windows7 on a 2011 MacBook Pro 13" w/ Core i5:
I see only a single core in-use in the Windows 7 CPU performance widget running VMware Fusion using Windows 7 installed in BootCamp Partition?
2. When I boot directly into Windows 7 using the BootCamp Partition on the same MacBook Pro as above:
I see all four cores in-use in the Windows 7 CPU performance widget. Why doesn't VMware fusion use all four virtual cores that the MAcBook Pro 13" Core i5 provides? Core i5 has 2 physical cores but 4 hyper-threads which appear as 4 virtual cores to the OS as I understand it.
Is this expected behavior for this config? Why can't VMware Fusion on OS X see all four virtual cores? I see that the CPU submenu is greyed out under the VM Settings menu? So it appears CPU settings can't be changed for a running VM instance? Any suggestion and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I think your i5 is 2-cores with 4-threads (the name virtual core for HT is just a way to get 20-35% more per physical core).
And one physical core has to be assigned to Mac.
If you had the i7 4-core / 8-threads, I can see more load balancing.

My Network Topology
I am setting up my intranet AND extranet in a back-to-back perimeter network topology using Claims and Kerberos Constrained Delegation. I will have a dedicated AD instance on the DMZ which my clients will be added to. My corporate users will access the site
via ADFS using their credentials on our internal network. There will be only a One Way Trust wherein the extranet AD will trust the corporate AD. We will be using Host named site collections and giving clients their own URL. They will basically be accessing
a single list and perhaps a page that gives them some reports about tasks across a few sub-sites and the a status of a single workflow on the root site of their site collection.

I would like to follow MS' Best Practice as stated above but I'm not clear on a few things.
1. Does it matter whether my extranet or intranet is on the Default Zone? I'm thinking that the intranet should be on the default since that is where Search crawls and that's the only place where search will be used in any way.
Is it possible to have two sets of permissions on a single web application, one for internal and one for external, without extending the default zone to create the extranet and thereby creating a new IIS website (webapp) in the process?

Extract report only runs on a single core

I am running the following extract report on a dual quad-core processor server with 32 GB ram and when I suppress empty rows the process runs on a single core which of course runs at 100% slowing down the process, but if I do not sppress rows all cores are used. Has anyone else experienced this or can i modify my report to improve performace?

If you have a time period that can be used to restrict on (for suppression), you can use the restrict approach rather than the sup missing, ala:

I'm not sure I would attempt this if you had to deal with multiple restrict's though -- I'm also not entirely convinced the savings would be substantial, but it could be based on the multiple core aspects.

How to handle jquery and ajax call in single page application using coded ui

I am facing a very tricky situation while using coded ui. My application interact with ajax and I was facing the issue to handle the ajax in the login page and other pages. and got solution for my problem. Now when ever a ajax is getting called in the page its getting handle with app config file. However the issue I am facing right now is.
When i click on a button a window will appear which is actually a "div tag". Please see the image below. In the that window when I have to select a item from drop down, the ajax will get called, however it will get called only for the window,
it wont be called for the entire page.. i.e. it will update only the window. I am not able to handle this ajax call, script gets stuck in refresh state. I will request you guys to provide a work around for it.
I would like to add more details - Visual studio version - 2013 update 3, IE11.
Application details: Its a single page application which uses bootstrap framework. All the ajax call are dynamic.

The window is not exactly a pop up window. Its a div tag in the same page. As this is my first time to work on a single page application I am not sure how it works. For the entire page I am able to handle the ajax call however the action performed
in the div tag is not getting handled.

I agree the point the UI has to be active or else the script will have issue during the playback. In my scenario I have to work on that window. I have to perform action on it. Now when the window(div thing) comes up the page in the background goes disable
till the action is performed on the window or the window is closed. I have to perform action on it then only I can proceed with the TC automation. Please let me know any option to solve this problem.

Desktop Software 6.0 (PC) does not show OS 6 system software and core applications

I have installed DM 600_b047 on my PC (running WinXP w/ SP3). I have also installed both OS 6.0.0_rel862 and 5.0.0_rel1385 on the same PC. When I connect my Bold 9000 to the PC, DM shows everything that is installed on the device. However, when disconnect the Bold and I connect my Torch 9800, DM shows only the third-party apps installed on the device. DM does not show the System Software, Core Applications, Phone, etc. that are installed on the Torch.
On another PC (also WinXP w/ SP3), I have installed the same DM and OS software. DM on the latter PC shows all System Software, Core Apps, 3rd-party apps, etc. of both the Bold and Torch.
I would appreciate any suggestions how to get my other PC to show all BB software installed on the Torch. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the DM and OS software on the one PC. It did not resolve my issue.

Here's how I resolved my issue:
1. On the DM's Applications page, click the "Import files" button.
2. Drill down to the folder containing the .alx files of the BB OS. In my case, that would be "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9800M_v6.0.0.284_P6.4.0.120"
3. Select the alx files shown.in the files window..
4. Click the "Open" button of the dialog box.
5. Wait for DM to finish processing the selected files.
Voila! Now I see all the apps.
Maybe RIM's software and/or system engineers can explain how the DM software got into the condition where it apparently had not selected the .alx files.

Error while creating new employee in CAF Core application

I am novice to the CAF, this is my first CAF Core application which I have created and deployed in J2EE engine successfully. Its ready for Testing, here I am trying to create a new employee but while saving it, giving error like:-

Best Practice to use a single root Application Module?

I was reading in another thread that it may be a good idea to have all application modules nested within a single root application module (AM) so that there is only 1 session maintained for the root AM, versus an individual session for each AM. Is this a best practice? If yes, should the root AM be a skeleton AM (minimal customer service methods), or, should you select the most heavily used AM and nest the other AM's underneath of it?
In my case, I currenlty have 2 AM's (and will have 3 AM's in the future) each representing a different set of use cases withn the application (i.e., one supports users searches / shopping cart-like functionality, and the second supports an enrollment process.) It could be the case that a user only accesses pages on the web site to do searches (first AM), or only to do enrollment (2nd AM), or, they may access pages of the site that access both AM's. Right now I have 2 separate AM's that are not nested. Should I nest the AM's and define a root AM?

The main physical effect of having 2 separate AMs is that they have their own transactions with the database, and presumably sit in the application module pool as their own instances consuming connections from the connection pool. Alternatively a single root AM with 2 nested AMs share a single transaction through the root AM; only the root AM controls the transaction in this scenario.
As such it's a question of do you need separate transactions or will one suffice?
How you group your EOs/VOs etc within the AMs is up to you, but usually falls into logical groups such as you have done. If a single transaction is fine, instead of creating multiple AMs, you could instead just create logical package structures instead. Neither method is right or wrong, they're just different ways of structuring your application.
When you create a nested AM structure, within your ViewController project in the Data Control Palette you'll actually see 3 data controls mapped to each AM. In addition expanding the root AM data control, you'll see the nested AMs again. Create a dummy project with a nested AM structure and you'll see what I mean.
If you base your page definitions on anything from the root AM and it's children in the Data Control Palette, this will work on the root AM's transaction.
If you base your page definitions on something from one of the other AM data controls that isn't inside the main root AM in the Data Control Palette, instead of using the root AM's transaction, the separate child AM will be treated as root AM and will have its own transaction.
The thing to care of when developing web pages is to consistently use the AM and it's nested AMs, or the child AMs directly with their separate transactions, otherwise it might cause a bit of a nightmare debugging situation later on when the same application is locking and blocking on the same records from 2 separate AM transactions.

Adobe Media Encoder only using single core of CPU (core parking has already been disabled and did not solve the problem)

I only edit videos every few months and the last time I edited a video was around 6-9 months ago. At that time, I noticed AME was only using a single core of the CPU and contacted Adobe who instructed me to disable core parking, which worked. After disabling core parking AME used 100% of all 12 logical cores to process the video and all was good. Then last week, I decided to edit another video and noticed AME was very slow and checked and it was again only using a single core to process the video, but core parking is still turned off. By slow I mean that a 10 minute video with the lens distortion correction preset and one video transition effect is estimated to take nearly 3 hours to complete. For comparison, the GoPro software processed the same clip with the same effects in 20 minutes. Also, through troubleshooting with Adobe over the last few days, I have also tried downloading previous versions of the software but the prior versions have the same issue.
The video I'm trying to edit was shot on a GoPro Hero 4 Black with 1080p Wide at 60 frames per second. The default video format for GoPro is .mp4. The output settings I'm using when I export from Premiere Pro to AME are H.264 with the YouTube 1080p HD.

This has been driving me CRAZY... so going over the message boards from 2 to 5 am this morning I found the best explanation I have seen. The problem is that Adobe Creative Cloud is NOT "Processor Group Aware". Windows parses any more than 36 cores into "Processor Groups" and while the Pro version of Windows 7 & 8 can handle 256 threads they have to spread them across multiple processor groups.

CS4 and single core processors

Hi,
I have a Mac Mini with a 1.5 GHz Intel single core processor and i want to buy Creative Suite 4 Web Standard to use on it.
But when i read the requirements for CS4 it mentions that a Mac should have the following:
PowerPC G4 or G5 or multicore Intel processor
Does CS4 work OK on a Intel single core processor?
Is a multicore processor specified because a small number of features benefit from it?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I used InDesign CS4 for a while on a 1 Gig 800MHz G4 tiBook. It was reasonably satisfactory given that I knew I was working in an underpowered setup -- I've since replaced the tiBook with a MacBook Pro with 4 Gigs.
I think that if you stick to your "one app at a time" philosophy, you'll be happy enough with the Mac Mini. I think Adobe was just reducing the testing and support load it had to deal with by apparently excluding older processors.

Stop/Start service of Ear application from Jboss AS using JMX Mbean API.

I would like to stop/start my ear applcation from JMX Client which is deployed on jboss server 4.2.0.
