I have tried unchecking the "Automatically check for updates" in the Software Update control panel. Of course, then you have to remember to check manually periodically for security updates etc. So far, the annoying banners seem to have stopped, but maybe just because I have not waited long enough for them to come back.

If your messages and photos weren't part of your backup, then they're gone.
Certainly you weren't foolish enough to update the iOS on your phone before importing your photos off your phone for safe keeping on your computer like you would do with any digital camera, were you? -
I'm having some problems wiht Firefox, for example; Youtube isn't loading right, Facebook won't let me send messages, search up people, and this website i made wont load right also. I've re-installed and updated it but still the same problems. Any help?
Because I know enough to be dangerous... I was trying to extend the two outside columns down.... Instead of just using faux columns which I have fixed since I posted the question.
The other link problem is the left sidebar links. When you go to the event photos page I have a repeat of the sidebar links that are on the newsletter page. I used named anchors on the newsletter page to link to the particular article. From the Event Photos page the links look like this:

The problem I am having is that some of these go to the newsletter page and the anchor and some do not (I get an error message saying it can't find the page). To add to the problem is that when we choose say the President's Message, when it goes to the newsletter page and the correct anchor, the newsletter page is missing all the links to the graphics... the photos are missing the graphic for the faux columns is missing. It makes no sense. When I preview the newsletter page from Dreamweaver everything shows up fine.
I do not know if all of this is being caused because I haven't posted this stuff to the site or what. I've tried re-booting both the browser and Dreamweaver, dumping the cache and still the same nonsense.
Got any ideas? -

Since last update of Pages, my Pages app in iPad anda iPhone doesn't open, it closes suddenly. I already deleted it and reinstalled, but still not works.

I have deleted and reinstalled from the device and desktop, resets, etc. When I uninstalled and reinstalled while connected to my desktop, the older version of pages was installed. I was able to see all of my files that were saved to the cloud. I was forced to update again to access any of the saved files. Once updated again, I could no longer open pages. It began, to open and abruptly shut down. -

I turn my i mac on and when it has loaded onto the home screen I get a message popping up saying my protection engine has corrupted and that i should try reinstalling live update and my computer will no longer be protected until I do so. Edit: To see whether you actually have Norton installed launch Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. If it's installed you'll likely see some Norton entries there.

Can anyone tell me how to slow down a commercial track in Garage band 10.00 I was able to do this in the earlier version of Garage Band quite easily and it is a good tool for being able to teach new dances, but I find I am unable to do it in the new version, which has just been updated. Select your track with song imported from iTunes, open the Track Editor window, and in the head of the track editor and press the "Flex" marker. Make sure "Enable Flex" is set,

Am trying to update my Ipad 2 version 4.3.3 to new version 5.1. Apple store told me how to go to Itunes to download, but it hasn't worked. Any ideas?
I did the same thing awhile ago. If when you click the button to update your iPad, it says "connection timed out" or"could not access update server", then the problem is likely with your computer. I'm not sure what else it could be, but for me, all I had to do was use my friends computer. His is faster than mine, and the download went smoothly. Just make sure to back up your iPad to your computer and not your friends computer. Then when you've updated, you can right click your iPad's tab in iTunes and click "restore from backup". Hope this helps.

Updated iTunes to 10.5, iTunes won't work now! Everytime I open iTunes it just freezes and I can't click on anything. It says to take it out of compatibility mode and still doesn't work! any help??

Need to find out how to get a calendar back on my iPad. Pretty new to Apple. Only one pf my 5 calendars was deleted. Do have iCloud backup just not sure how to access. iTunes has never been sync'd with iPad. Thanks for any help.
