OS xSnow Leopard will not upload on my mac pro currently at 10.5.8. I get as far as the restart section of the download then the driver tray opens. Can you help?

Having problems upgrading my Mac Pro 10.5.8 to OS X Snow Leopard upgrade that I bought from Apple Online. I get as far as "Computer will restart and then continue with upload". The problem is that after the restart takes place my driver draw opens and the Updrade doesn't continue. I've tried serveral times without success. Not sure what the problem is. Please Help?

Confused. 10.6 is DVD based. Only Lion and above are downloads.
And best install is not to upgrade. Do a clean install - on another drive.
Corrupt partition tables or bad sectors or no room to adjust the partitions or the directory is corrupt.
ERASE the drive if Repair Disk didn't work.

All the information that I had input on Quicken is gone. I have to have the external hard drive that I use to back up to be able to use quicken now. It is as if it was erased from the laptop hardrive

Try repairing permissions. My favorite way is with a utility called AppleJack. Info and download here. It's free. It only works when you boot in Single User Mode. When restarting or booting, hold down the Command key and S keys.
You will get a very different startup screen that looks like the Terminal app has hijacked the screen. Just let the lines of text scroll by. When that happens you will get a text entry prompt. Type in "AppleJack" without the quotation marks.
A DOS looking menu will appear. Choose 1 or d to run Disk Repair. If you get a message that Disk Repair found and corrected errors, run it again. Repeat until you get the "your disk appears to be ok" message. This rarely happens with my experience, though. This does the same thing as as booting from an external drive and running Disk Utility's repair. Only, no external drive is required!
Next, choose 2 or p to repair disk permissions. This will take a little while. AppleJack warns that it will take up to an half hour to run repair permissions. It'n never taken more than about ten minutes for my MacBook Pro.
As permissions are repaired, you will see each repair scroll on the screen. When done, the menu returns, choose q to quit. Then at the prompt, enter "exit" without the quotes. Your MacBook Pro should restart into Mac OS normally after this.

I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. 1. What software (app) are you using to try to open the PDF files, including version number if you know it?
2. If you are using a browser, what is it?
3. Are you on Mac or Windows?
4. Is the PDF file on your hard drive (own computer), on a web site, or somewhere else?
5. What EXACTLY happens when you try to open the PDF? If you get a message, what is the message IN FULL?
Please answer all questions carefully.

It seems like the best way to do this would be to make a playlist from just the one song that you want listen to while falling asleep. Our iPad User Guide explains exactly how to do this:

And I have echoed the relevant information here:
Create a playlist: View Playlists, tap New near the top of the screen, then enter and save a name. Select songs and videos to include, then tap Done.

Try to quit the app by double clicking the Home button and in the multitasking menu tap an hold the Mail app until it starts to wiggle and tap the that appears.
Also try to reset the device by holding then Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for 10 seconds until the Apple logo apears.
