OSB 10.3.1 : Calling externall MTOM webservice through HTTPS
Hi,
We have OSB process that calls MTOM webservice via Business Service. It's works fine over HTTP connection.
We secure the connection one-way ssl client, we imported public certificate to trusted keystore in wls.
The business service calls the webservice over https, the Webservice receive the streaming and generates file.
The problem is when the webservice returns result, the connection is froze and the wls where is the webservice generates this exception

I tested over https the same webservice using java client WS (generated by jdeveloper) and that works fine.
Any idea

Resolved
The problem is coming from OSB it happens when Business Service invoke WS in HTTPS, BS sends twice the request the first one contains the right envelop and the second one contains in empty request.
The Oracle Support helped me to resolve the problem; we changed the QoS (Quality Of Service) to Exactly once

Is it possible to call a SOAP webservice using HTTP POST adapter
Hello Experts,
Is it possible to call a webservice using a HTTP adapter with POST method? If yes, how?
Regards,
DipteeNo this will not work since you have additional SOAP information (i.e. SOAP envelope, security information) in addition to the payload. If you need a simple HTTP-Post for example, then you don't need SOAP, you can use the more simple http protocol without the additional features of SOAP.

ADF Mobile : Rest call to a webservice using https - Certificate Error
I'm trying to connect to a web service giving json and which uses https. I am using the following code.
Also SalesApp connects to https://abc.com
RestServiceAdapter restServiceAdapter = Model.createRestServiceAdapter();
restServiceAdapter.clearRequestProperties();
restServiceAdapter.setConnectionName("SalesApp");
restServiceAdapter.setRequestType(RestServiceAdapter.REQUEST_TYPE_GET);
restServiceAdapter.setRetryLimit(0);
restServiceAdapter.setRequestURI("/sales/rest/v1/resources");
try {
response = restServiceAdapter.send("");
I am getting an error of " Certificate was issued by an unrecognized entity ".
Is there anyway to ignore the certificate warning ? Any request properties which can help with this?
I'm not looking at adding any private certificates/verfying the certificate issued by server, just want to ignore the warning
and proceed with the rest call.Hi, sure you will need to register your private certificate with ADF Mobile's embedded JVM. This is a security mechanism - the JVM we embed will only recognize certificates from well-know CA out of box. However, you can register your private certificate with the JVM. The steps are described in the ADF Mobile Developer Guide: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/doc.111230/e24475/security.htm#CDDCCDFF.
Please note that you will need to be very careful when registering the JVM - extra spaces for example will cause certificate error and it could be hard to diagnose. Please ensure all the fields matches exactly with your private certificate's fields.

OSB - rethrow error to calling service
Hi,
I am facing wierd issue in OSB.
I have a BPEL process which invokes my OSB proxy service.
The business service of my OSB calls an external webservice.
Whenever my external websrvice sends an error, my OSB returns the error to my calling process BPEL.
I havent implemented any explicit Error Handling in the process.
But I am not sure why, whenevr my OSB sends an error, my BPEL process instance doesnot appear.
It is taking lot of time forthe error to come back to BPLE from OSB.
Please suggest some solutionOSB will rethrow the error to the calling service if proper error handling has not been done in OSB. You may be interested in -

How can I call a stateful webservice from a user-defined XPath function?
I'm calling a stateful webservice from a BPEL process using a PartnerLink which implements Custom Header Handler classes to handle the session state, storing the cookie as a property of the PartnerLink.
I'd also like to call this same stateful webservice, in the same session, from a user-defined XPath function enabling me to call this from an XSL Transformation.
Is this in any way possible? Can I access the cookie and attach it to the webservice call made by the user-defined XPath function?Actually, as long as the servlet returns valid javascript, you can indeed "call it" from the client. It will initiate a request and return the result to the browser.
This example uses Perl, but it could be easily modified to go to a servlet instead.
Note that it is only supported in DOM browsers (IE6+/NN6+/etc)

How to call an encrypted webservice in BPEL process?
If i need to call a J2EE webservice which need to authenticate,like need to provide the username and password,or need to provide the signature,how can i discribe it in a BPEL process? Is there any article addressing this problem?
Thank you!OWSM can mange both ways. You have the option of using the gateway or using the OWSM gateway. The gateway is easier to configure but data is decrypted between the gateway and the SOA Suite / BPEL so depending on your use case and security you may need to use agents.

Deserialization Failed error when calling a SAP Webservice
Hello,
I'm trying to call an SAP Webservice from a .NET Mobile application, this particular BAPI expects an array of objects and when I make the call I get a deserialization problems. I have tried make the array size to 0 but no luck, I have couple of other function modules which are working fine but have a problem with this BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDEROPER_GET_LIST.
any help is greatly appriciated.
Thanks
VinayDear Vinay,
Does your other FM are also using arrays.?
Deserialization problem comes when xml parser is not able to convert XML schema or values to language specific elements.
And this problem normally comes if you are using complex data types.
Can you check once again and reply.

In Soap ui we are not getting any error. We are generating a webserviceproxy out of the wsdl. After creating proxy we right click the wsdl and do a test webservice.
Then we are getting the below error.
"invalid namespace for prefix ns1. The operation cannot proceed"
Just wanted to check with you can webserviceproxy be created of the wsdl which contain multiple schemas?
Thanks Timo.

Using a registry, for example UDDI [1], would be one solution. WLS has
a complete UDDI implementation builtin [2] for this purpose.
You are correct, you need to pass the service address location found in
the <service> section of the WSDL.
Hope this helps,
Bruce
