1.OSS note and SAP Note.
2.SAP Patch and Support Packages.

OSS Note and SAP Note are the same thing.
Support Package / Support Package Stack refers to a group of corrections and/or enahcnements which include a group of OSS Notes, and changes to multiple components that SAP has tested as a group and recommends be installed together.
I think Patch may be a little more ambigous. For some, they might mean Support Package when they use the term Patch, or maybe even an OSS Note. SAP also refers to updates to some components as Patches, e.g. they release database patches, and with BW, the BW SAPGUI Addon is also sometimes referred to as the Front End Patch.

well you should ask your Lotus Notes administrator to setup an SMTP gateway on the LotusNotes side for you. I know that this is possible but I have not done it myself before. And since this is an SAP BusinessObjects forum I am not sure you will get an answer about this here.

Lotus Notes and SAP Business Workflow
Hi Experts!
If you have an experience or if you have SPECIFIC notes on Lotus Notes/SAP Workflow integration, please share some views on these following questions:
1. The SAP version we are using is ECC6. The client wants to upgrade their Lotus Notes client to V7.0.1 which caters Workflow integration. <b>Do we need to have the Lotus Connector for this</b>? (Workitem should be processed using the Lotus Notes client and there is a link where the apporover can process the workitem.)
2. What are the essential technical specifications for this this integration?
a. Domino Server Platform
b. Client Platform
c. Domino Release
d. Lotus Notes Client version
e. Product/connector for the link.
3. What should I use for configuring the notification scenario?
a. Extended Notifications
b. RSWUWFML2
c. SWN_SELSEN
Please provide answers on these.

Am I right to affirm that according to what you've said, <b>there is no Lotus Notes Connector needed</b> for Lotus Notes and SAP Workflow integration?
I actually haven't tested yet the Extended Notification, but from your reply, I think you are confident enough to tell me that it is possible to have a link in the Lotus Notes mail and then this link could bring you to the Document and process it using,of course, the Extended Notification.

Well, the quick summary that you are not going to like: This system is pretty short on RAM and processor power, your graphics driver is outdated and you are using two screens with different resolutions, which eats up all graphics acceleration plus your card has only 256 MB of VRAM in the first place, which doesn't meet the requirements. You will never be able to use 3D under those conditions.

When you are booking purchase invoice, if you received material short, then you have to issue debit note to that material supplier vendor.
In the same material supply bill, vendor invoice less rate claimed instead of PO rate, then you have to give credit note to that vendor for rate difference.

Hi Friend,
1. A transaction that reduces Amounts Receivable from a customer is a credit memo. For eg. The customer could return damaged goods. A debit memo is a transaction that reduces Amounts Payable to a vendor because, you send damaged goods back to your vendor.
2. Credit memo request is a sales document used in complaints processing to request a credit memo for a customer. If the price calculated for the customer is too high, for example, because the wrong scale prices were used or a discount was forgotten, you can create a credit memo request. The credit memo request is blocked for further processing so that it can be checked. If the request is approved, you can remove the block. The system uses the credit memo request to create a credit memo.
You can use credit memos in Sales and Distribution (SD) for assigning credit memo requests to the open invoices and in Financial Accounting (FI) for assigning credit memos and payments to the open invoices and carry out clearing with them. If you use both Financial Accounting (FI) and Sales and Distribution (SD), there is a 1:1 relationship between the credit memo request and the credit memo item posted in Financial Accounting (FI). As soon as you bill the credit memo request together with other sales orders, or distribute the items of one credit memo request to several billing documents, the assignment is no longer valid and the system will not process it.
For credit memos, credit memo requests, and payments, you have the following assignment options:
- Assignment to a single invoice
- Assignment of a partial amount to an invoice
- Assignment to several invoices
When you post credit memos, the payment programme processes them automatically. If the credit memo is specifically related to a particular open invoice item, the payment program automatically attempts to offset the credit memo against the open item. If it is not possible to completely offset the credit memo against an invoice, you can post a debit memo to the vendor, who is to reimburse the amount. Then you can apply a multilevel dunning program.
3. Debit memo request is a sales document used in complaints processing to request a debit memo for a customer. If the prices calculated for the customer were too low, for example, calculated with the wrong scaled prices, you can create a debit memo request. The debit memo request can be blocked so that it can be checked. When it has been approved, you can remove the block. It is like a standard order. The system uses the debit memo request to create a debit memo.
4. As mentioned above, creating a credit or debit memo request enables you to create credit or debit memos based on a complaint. For this first create a sales document with the order type for a credit or debit memo request. You can create the debit or credit memo requests in the following ways:
Without reference to an order
With reference to an existing order
Here you enter which order the complaint refers to.
With reference to an invoice
Here you enter which invoice the complaint refers to.
In all cases, you specify the value or quantity that should be in the credit or debit memo
5. You can block the credit or debit memo request from being billed in Customizing. Go to Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales document header -> Define sales document type and select the billing block field in the billing section. This request can later be reviewed along with similar ones, - if necessary, by another department. The request for a credit or debit memo can then be approved or rejected. -

Differences between SAP Installation Guide and SAP Notes 1634482 & 1881509
Hello all,
we still have problems with activities in TDMS. During searching for solutions I found two SAP Notes 1634482 & 1881509 which contain entirely other information as installation guide from SAP.
SAP guide indicates that the roles SAP_TDMS_MASTER_CR and SAP_TDMS_RFC_USER_700_CR are enough to execute the activities.
But the SAP Notes 1634482 & 1881509 contain another information. For example the notes indicate additionally to another roles, which you will find below:
SAP_TDMS_CONTROL_CENTER_DISPL
SAP_TDMS_SCRAMBLING_USER
SAP_TDMS_SCRAMBLING_EXPERT
SAP_TDMS_SCRAMBLING_BUS_EXPERT

Do I really need the additional roles? Is that all? Do I need to request another roles additionally?

the situation is strange. The problem is that the activity "Verification of Execution System" cannot be performed. The status is "Release/Scheduled". In other words "green flag" although I have all necessary roles.
TDMS User - user type "dialog":
In control/central and in execution system "SAP_TDMS_MASTER_CR" which contains the role "SAP_TDMS_SCRAMBLING_ADMIN".
RFC User - user type "dialog":
In control/central and in execution system "SAP_TDMS_RFC_USER_CR" and "SAP_TDMS_RFC_USER_700".

Help for not released SAP Note 1179482
Dear all,
I have some problems with transaction CLOCOC (Message TK430 - Cient & has statut 'not modifiable').
I found solution using SAP Note 1179482 but this SAP Note is not released and no more available.
We do not want to use tranport request for CLOCOC transaction.
Some still got this SAP Note or some information about the solution?

Moderator: Please, avoid asking basic questions. Try to search available SAP material firstThis depends on requirement.
Generally, SAP std are followed and ought to be followed, as Std config are based on best practices world over.
Still, if you business process requires then take an example,
- use TCode OBYC,
- double click on transaction BSD - Inventory posting
- provide chart of account, if asked.
- check the posting keys for transaction by clicking Posting Key button on the Maintain FI Configuration: Automatic Posting - Accounts screen.

Its a Document which consists of all details realated to the Delivery Like,
Customer,Material, Quantity, Price Etc., which is complusory document while leaving the Goods from the Plant and have to submit the Delviry note to the geat men.
Billing Note:- It is also a document which consists of detials like customer,material,Quantity and price et., which is also compulsory doc while the goods in the Trasnsit.it will be use for sales tax,excise etc.,

NOTES and REMINDERS not appearing on dock in Mountain Lion
I have updated to Mountain Lion and neither Notes nor Reminders appears in my dock. Am I missing a step?
You're still on Lion
Besides, unless you do a clean install, those items will not just appear on your dock, you'll have to put them there yourself.
open them and right click the icon and choose, keep in dock from the Options pull out.
That is, of course, after you install Mountain Lion.
