OT: help deciphering error log

ok, so now that i've discovered error logs (thanks, Micha! i
didn't even know i could look at them before you prompted me to
look for my other problem), i'm examining them for problems with
the sites i work on. for the most part, it's pretty
self-explanatory. but i've seen the following error a couple times,
and i'm not sure what it means or if it's something i should be
worried about:
[PHPFormMail] HTTP_REFERER checking is turned off. Referer:
http://www.mydomain.com/;
Client IP: 71.105.232;
[PHPFormMail] Normal e-mail sent from IP 71.105.232
it doesn't happen every time the form is submitted, and as
far i can tell we still get the email. i guess i'm mainly just
curious as to why this error occurs. any ideas?
CORRECTION: on one site, this error IS occurring every time
the form is submitted.

That's not really a server error, but from the mail script.
So it might
help to look through the script's documentation or FAQ what
causes this
or why it is reported as an error (doesn't look like an error
to me).

  • Need help on Error Logging in ODI

    Hi All,
We have the following requirement to be achieve on the ODI 11g:
Error Logging: After execution of every package or interface we are supposed to write the data from the E$ error table to a common log table. We need to identify a mechanism to get the E$ tables of each package and read the data from the same table and finally write into a common log table. Please help us out to implement this requirement.
Note: We can have multiple interfaces in a package and each interfaces error log table should be tracked.
Any help on this will be appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Help deciphering AUSST logs?

    Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me decipher the AUSST logs? I am required to report to our IT department all update activity for my systems (OS and apps) quarterly, including total file size. All the information I need is in the logs, but it's unclear what AUSST is actually doing.
I recently did an incremental update and decided to look at the logs to see if I could tell what kind of activity is actually going on in my Cache directory. The log entries seem to be self-explanatory but they don't agree with the response from the AUSST tool, or with the actual directory activity.
For instance; today's update claimed 1078 items were processed and there were errors in 0 items...
Processed 1078 out of 1078 items.
    Error in 0 items.
    AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool returned with code: 0.
For more information refer AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool.log at /Users/admin/Library/Logs .
However there are 3,345 entries in the log for today's update. That suggests there are roughly 3 log entries per "Item" processed by AUSST? What is an "Item?"
Also, when I search for items in my AUSST cache that have been created or modified during the last 12 hours, there are 1,224. That is more than the 1,078 "Items" and fewer than the 2,451 log entries that claim an item was downloaded.
I need this data to be accurate, but the logs and reality don't quite mesh so I think I must not understand the logs correctly.
    Little help?
    -Brian

Wait... bonehead move on my part. I forgot I had ran the update twice by accident so the log I was looking at (for todays date) actually had two complete cycles in it.
In this case, the number of files actually created or modified during the last 12 hours matches the number of entries in the log exactly. So that's the answer.
Also, if I look at distinct directories, I get 1078... exactly the number of "Items" processed by AUSST. So it appears when there are multiple files for a given "Item" they are not included in the count.
Okay, I think I get it now. If you have anything to add, please feel free, but I think I have all I need for my reporting purposes now.
    -Brian

    Hello folks...
I wish I knew what I was looking at here, hopefully someone can make sense of this for me?
Yesterday I started up Flex Builder 3 and had an error.  All I could see was java this java that...so I reinstalled java, hoping that might do something.
now I get a little different error than I saw, but I still see a lot of java references.
    Thanks for you help!

    Sorry...I'm completely new to Flex.
What do you mean by changing the workspace?
When I try to start Flex Builder 3, I can go no further as the error message comes up.  Can I change the workspace outside of the application...if so, how?
    Thanks much!

  • Help deciphering Crash Log - quite long, sorry.

Best I can recall, this has been happening since I got the current Dual 2.5 GHz PPC G5 w/3 GB RAM back in March that I'm running(w/Black Magic Decklink Extreme card) Over that period, it's gotten better, and worse and now, after 6.0.1, much worse.
What I'm running: OSX 10.3.9, ATI Radeon 9600XT, 6 - 512 MB sticks of RAM all DDR SDRAM PC3200U-30330 from the same vendor/manufact. and Apple Hardware Tested o.k. FCStudio 6.0.1, latest DeckLink Driver, QT 7.1.3
Full freeze & lock up in FCP now every couple hrs or so.
Here's what happens: could be in canvas, or viewer, or playing a seq. in time line and everything freezes. No cursor movement, no clock ticking in menu bar, no nothing. No force quit, no spinning beach ball, no nothing, just frozen screen on both monitors,(well, frozen everything actually) and picture dissapears from video display, (component out from Deck Link). Only option is hard re start.
Never happens doing the same thing, happens in any/every project.
Here's what I've done: ran Hardware test, combo updater, reinstalled FCP, deleted caches, repaired permissions, Disc Warrior, isolated and tested each of my media drives, tried removing 2 RAM sticks at a time till I'd tested/isolated all 6, and all to no avail.
I've looked at all sorts of 'How-to's' regarding how to figure out crashes from crash logs, but nothing that I've been able to see is any help. Here's a copy & paste of most recent info from Library/CrashLog/FinalCut Pro:

your crash log suggests that an FxPlug caused a memory access error
this might mean you are using a buggy FxPlug ...
if you have any third party FxPlug's that you are using that you think may be the cause then try disabling them
... or given the timeframe for the start of th problem, maybe its more likely you have a dodgy graphics card or dodgy Decklink card? try pulling out the Decklink card and see if you still get the problem . if its still there, try swapping out the graphics card with another if you have a second card/machine available

  • Help with error log.

Not sure if this is the place to post this but here goes, I am getting all these errors on my mac clients. The problem is they freeze on log out and must be manually shut down. They are all brand new eMacs, 10.4.7, My server is 10.4.8, xserve.

I see this frequently as well. Finally got the login gremlins worked out, but probably on in 25 clients freezes on logout, with a similar error. I must say, we have too many shares and I am going to move user network homes to one share to try to troubleshoot this, when I get a chance. For now, well...

  • Need help deciphering hs_err_pid logs.

    Hi,
I have an application that is crashing and can't figure out what the cause is. I noticed these hs_err_pid logs a few weeks ago and noticed that they are logged everytime my application crashes. The application is called Lyrix and is built on a Java JVM. Basically the application converts .rtf files from Lotus Notes into .pdf files and places them in a directory. Can someone please help me figure out what is causing this to crash? The server it is installed on is a multi-threaded machine with 8 procs. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. Below is the log contents. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

  • Need help deciphering error messages!!!

My iTunes library was continually acting up, so I finally decided to start fresh. I restored & updated iTunes, Quicktime, & my iPod. I followed the directions from a question I posted here. I drag and dropped the music back into the "clean" library, and everything was going great.
Now I'm getting the same error messages as before. I was adding music and this message appeared.
    Error Message:
The file "iTunes Library.itl" does not appear to be a valid music library file. iTunes has attempted to recover your music library and renamed this file to "iTunes Library (Damaged).itl".
My library.xml file was missing some music, so I added it back to the library.itl file to see if it would work. It appeared fine afterward. The next day I went in to recreate my playlists, and received the following error.
    Error Message:
The iTunes Library cannot be saved. An unknown error has occurred (-1450).
    Questions:
    1. What is error 1450?
    2. Are my music files (that I drag & drop)contaminated and need to be deleted and reimported?
    3. What are the causes of the 2 error messages above? I copied them to my notepad exactly as they appeared on screen?
    4. When iTunes creates a library (damaged).itl file, it also creates a new music file: song 1.m4a replaces song.m4a - which version do I keep?
The only good news is that my iPod has always worked fine. It has no music on it now, and I don't want to hook it up to a contaminated library.
Need help desperately...I'm beginning to hate iTunes...just want to use my iPod.
Dell Inspiron 6000 Pentium   Windows XP   1.6 GHz, 1G RAM

When iTunes creates a library (damaged).itl file, it also creates a duplicate song file.
song 1.m4a replaces song.m4a - which version can I delete without creating problems?

  • 10.1.3EA to 10.1.3 migration: JSF page won't run, pls help decipher error

    Hi:
Tweaking an application built using 10.1.3 EA to get it to run under 10.1.3 production. Lots of bits and pieces that have been worked out, but at a head-pounder now. Sorry to dump so much. If anyone sees a pointer to the problem, would be much appreciated. Here's the error info I get in place of the page I want:

O.K., figured this one out. In EA I had converted a panelPage element to a Page, but had not modified the backing bean code to set and get the new object type. EA didn't seem to mind, but 10.1.3 production picked it up. I'm guessing it has to do with the better integration among the various participants in a page that's part of the production release (and also makes the removal of page components much cleaner).
    On to the next!

  • Constant FCP v7 crashes. Need help deciphering error codes

Workflow has crawled to a halt today with several FCP crashes. Below is the error message. Running a MacPro w/dual Xeon procs, 16GB RAM, Snow Leopard.
I've done the basics such as deleting FCP prefs, zapping PRAM, verifying disks/repairing permissions, performing an FS check and discarding render files.
Anyone have some ideas on a fix? Reinstalling the app is next on the list but I'm hoping to avoid that.

any help on how to fix this 13+ minute gap would be MOST appreciated - thanks!

Roam has made a good catch.
It looks like the long lag begins from Software Update. (Booting in Verbose mode or looking in system.log might give more clues as to what's going on.) Is Sys Prefs>Software Update set to automatically check for, or download, updates (daily?) If it is, it may, for some reason, be getting hung up there. Uncheck that preference and see what the boot time looks like.
I would create another admin account (I always have one set up for testing purposes) and see if the boot up is the same.
You may have a problem with Software Update
Delete the contents (not the enclosing folder) of this folder
    /Users/yourusername/Library/Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate
And move this file to the Desktop:
    /Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
(there may be several more nearby titled "by host," with a long string of numbers; get those, as well.)
They are both in your Home Folder Library.
    Then restart.

RMAN清理归档日志 1 问题 2010-3-19 下午03时11分00秒 GMT+08:00 PTDB 数据库实例 SYSTEM RMAN 脚本
How to view the error log of oracle Job?
    Thank you.
    Eric Zhou

    Hello,
Besides some views (with the scheduler) that you can get on the link below:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/scheduse002.htm#CHDGIDFD
You may use the LOG parameter with RMAN so as to generate a logfile on the server.
Also from EM DBConsole (starting with 10g) you may have the RMAN Backup Report.
    Hope this help.
    Best regards,
    Jean-Valentin
