Out of memor error in 10 inputs sampling

i'm using the PXIe-4496 to sample 10 channels at 12KS/s. I need about 3 minutes of sampling which makes 2.2MSamples.
everytime i go a little higher than 1 MSamples i get error windows:
"not enough memory to complete this operation"  "Labview memory is full. the top level VI "sva_Uff58writefileblockvies.vi:1" was stopped at..."
system: windows xp, 2GB RAM, signal express 2011
can this problembe solved without sampling less channels?

Hello Morb,
When LabVIEW stores data, it stores it in contiguous segments of memory. I see that you are requesting 1.44M samples at a time. You may have enough available memory, but I suspect you don't have enough memory in a single block.
You can try changing your acquisition mode to Continuous and decreasing the number of samples to read. This will still allow you to get the same amount of data, but it will allow you to pull data off of the hardware buffer in smaller amounts to store to your available memory.
You can also check how much contiguous memory you have using the code developed in the following Community Example. This will give you an array of contiguous sections of memory from largest to smallest.

  • "Out of range" error at analog input

    Hello!
I use a PCI 1200 card with Nidaq 6.6.0 and Labview 5.1 support files on Windows NT for data aquisition. My programm has one digital channel and three analog input channels. I didn't write the programm myself but bought it in 1999 together with an apparatus which delieveres all these signals. I have only a Labview Executable which runs with LabView Runtime Engine 5.1.1 and the daqdrv, the serpdrv and one .lrm file.
The programm was running fine till the computer broke down. I had to reinstall the whole system and everything seems to work except the readings of the three analog input channels (one K-thermocouple and 2 times voltage). In the MAX the test panel says "out of range" for the channels. The digital channel (which is for switching valves in the apparatus) works fine!
    What can be wrong?
    - It's not the PCI card, I borrowed another one - it produces the same readings (And I tried all PCI buses in the computer)
    - The Measurement and Automation Explorer MAX recognises the card and the card passes the test.
    - I tried different settings like DIFF, NRSE and RSE, bipolar and unipolar but nothing changes for good.
    - The settings of my four channels were saved in the daqdrv, that's why I think the mistake is not in the channel settings, but somewhere else.
I have checked the "Checking your board settings" support files from NI but nothing seems to help.
Any idea from you will be much appreciated!
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,
You should update your NI-DAQ driver by downloading and installing the following links:

If you are getting an out of memory error then it generally means you are running out of memory.
Now if you have no leaks in the system then it means that your load is too high for the resources that you are allocating. You either increase the resources or you throttle the system so it can't run out.
Since you profiled the application under load, it should not be possible for it to be a leak in java. It could be a leak in the JVM. If it is then you have to reduce to the problem, report it as a bug, and then try to find a work around.

  • Generate PSK signal without out of memory error

    Hi all,
I want to generate a PSK modulated signal with message bits length much larger like over IM bits atleast. I have to first generate the message bits, diffrentially encode them and modulate them at the end. But when I give larger length of bits to the input of PSK modulation vi, it gives me an out of momory error.
What I am doing to get rid of this out of memory error is... I generate 128k message bits using MT generate bits vi, Encode them and modulate them using MT PSK modulate vi and write the modulated signal data repeatedly in the binary file using binary file write vi that I placed within a for loop with loop count of 20 so that I writes modulated signal data for (20*128k= 2.56M encoded bits). But doing so introduces phase discontinuity.
Can anyone suggest a better way of generating PSK signal with message bits atleast 1M and without the out of momory error?
Any kind of help would be highly appretiated.
    Best regards

    Hello Sandee,
The problem here is that when attempting to modulate a large number of bits in a single shot is that you are using the number of bits * samples per symbol * 24 bytes of memory just in creating the message and the modulated signal. In your case if you are using 16 samples per symbol this would require 384 MB of memory for a 1-shot operation of a 1M-bit message.
Luckily this problem has been taken into consideration within the Modulation toolkit (MT). If you take the MT PSK Transmitter VI example that is installed with modulation toolkit you can make some small modifications to implement your desired functionality.
By placing the code within a for loop and wiring the first call VI to the reset inputs of the MT VIs you can reset the VIs on the first iteration of the loop and be able to use the previous iteration states for further iterations. Also, to prevent losing samples due to filter delay you need to make sure to flush the buffers (an input to the MT Modulate PSK VI) on the last iteration.
Let me know how this goes in your specific application.

    Dan King

  • RoboHelp 9 gives an out of memory error and crashes when I try to import or link a Frame 10 file or

I have Tech Suite 3. If I start a new RoboHelp project and try to import or link Frame files, RoboHelp tries for a while, then I get an Out of Memory error and the program crashes.
I opened one of the sample projects and was able to link to one of my frame files without any problem, so it seems to be an issue with creating something new.
    Any suggestions?

It happens when I create a new project and then try to import or link frame docs to make up the content. It starts scanning, then crashes. I did get it to the conversion setting page once, but no further.
It does not happen if I open one of the supplied example projects and link a file. But then it doesn't let me choose, during import, any style mapping. And I can't delete the sample project fold
Twice now it has told me when I tried to import (not link, but import) that my .fm file could not be opened, and told me to verify that Frame is installed (it is) and that the file is a valid frame file (it is).
The docs and project are in separate folders on my C: drive.

  • E Bay Sign in no longer works after Firefox Security Update 3.6.6 , return message from eBay is error in your input while signing in

When signing in to eBay, I get an error message stating that there was an error in my input when I attempted to sign in... which also brings up the sign in page again... had no problems prior to the Firefox Security Update 3.6.6..... I can "claim " I forgot my password and using the forgotten password link... get into My eBay... but if I log out and then sign back in a day later... it's the same old thing all over again.... this browser is becoming as much a problem as Internet Explorer has been for years... Firefox used to be simple, straightforward and fast... now, there is little difference between it and the Microsoft hog... IE
== URL of affected sites ==
    http://ebay.com

Any computer tech would know that it is likely not firefox causing this issue, but an incompatibility with a new ebay sign-in page and the firefox browser. The browser only does what the code on the page tells it to. I have seen the issue with other sites that work with IE or with Safari, but not firefox and some that work with firefox and IE but not Safari, it is the web developer's fault for the page that isn't working, not your browser.
---It is possible that it is a firefox issue, but it is most likely an issue with the webpage itself. I do not have a problem signing into ebay at all with firefox.

OK - the problem you describe is definitely what's giving you grief.
The workaround is to use a socket connection and send your own request headers, with the content length filled in. You may have to multi-part mime encode the stream on its way out as well (I'm not about that...).
    You can use the following:
    http://porsche.cis.udel.edu:8080/cis479/lectures/slides-04/slide-02.html
on your server to get a feel for the format that the request headers need to take.

I get the out of Memory Error on the client side. I
was told that this might be a bug in the URLConnection
class implementation that basically it wont know the
content length until all the data has been written to
the output stream, so it uses an in memory buffer to
store the data which basically causes memory issues..
do you think there might be a workaround of any kind..
or maybe a way that the buffer might be flushed after
a certain size of file has been uploaded.. ?? do you
    have any ideas?

  • Why do I get a Track out of memory error while running open loop frequency response?

MatrixX Build 61mx1411: I get a "Track out of memory" error when I run the Open Loop Frequency Response from the MatrixX pull down tools. What can I do to prevent this? We are running on an HP B1000 with 768 MB of RAM under HP-UX 10.2.

In the old days of Mx say Version 5 and prior the user actually selected the amount of memory that would be allocated. Depending on the size of the model etc. you would have to allocate memory. In version 6.0 and going forward there is no need for the user to manually allocate the memory.
    Build {rstack=50000,istack=200000,sstack=50000,cstack=500 000}
If this is a command in a script file that you are running and the error is resulting from that then I would try commenting out everything after the letter d in the word build and then starting it back up.
    i.e. only use Build
I don't believe that there is a way to manually allocate the initial SystemBuild Stack size.
I believe initially the stack size is set to 10010.
    However, one way
you can manually set the initial SystemBuild stack size,is to create a large StateSpace as soon as you start up SystemBuild. This will prevent piece-meal reallocs while using SystemBuild.
You can created a new SuperBlock in SystemBuild and then drop down a StateSpace Block with 199 inputs and 199 Outputs and 1 State and entered ones(200,200)as the StateSpace Matrix without any problems. This would resize this internal stack to at least 40000.
You really should not have to do this but if that helps then you might think about doing this in your startup.ms file you could use SBA or load the file then you could delete the superblock and begin working.
"Bob" gave me this little tid bit.
Please let me know if any of this is of use.

  • Out of Memory Error!! in DOMParser

There must be a limit on the amount of memory the Oracle DOM parser allocate when parsing.
When using the sample XSLSample program in the XDK, I get out of memory errors when attempting to parse large files (around 24M).
Does anyone know a work around??? Is this a known bug???

The DOM Model keeps everything in memory.
Parsing a 24 Megabyte XML file (will requirement creating tons of objects in memory).
If your file is 24 Megabytes because it is comprised of tons of repeating subdocuments, you might be able to combine processing the document using SAX and DOM to use your result.
See O'Reilly's Building Oracle XML Applications for fully worked and explained examples of this combination approach.

  • Out of memory errors

I'm having problems starting 8i. When started from /etc/rc.d/
init.d/dbora during bootup or manually by root, I get an out of
    memory error.
If I start it from the dbadmin user (oracle), I either get the
same out of memory error, or I end up with several hundred shell
logins and the database still doesn't respond.
This is RedHat Linux 6.0, kernel 2.2.5-22smp. Here is a sample of
what happens when I get the out of memory error:
    Mem: 160448K av, 53488K used, 106960K free, 26264K shrd,

It turns out that the problem I was having with a large number of
shell processes being created was due to the use of oraenv in my
.bashrc file (so much for following the instructions!) It was
calling itself recursively until the process limit was reached.
However, even with this fixed, the out of memory error still
    exists.

    Dear all,

    Hello Florian
When you choose function "Inbound Function module" (IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS; WE19) switch the transaction processing to In Foreground or In Foreground after Error.
Then you will clearly see what is missing and it should be easy to find out where to place the missing data into the IDoc.
Most likely segment E1EDP20 (containing the quantity) is missing. Example:
    E1EDP20                     136.000        0.000          20080822
    Regards

I take it you don't feel like spending the extra money for the EE add-on that was designed to CREATE an INDEX on polygons of logitude, latitude values in such away that a simple
    SELECT * FROM ZIP_CODES WHERE SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( Z.ZIPCODE_AREA, /* point for zipcode */, 'distance=' || in_distance ) = 'TRUE';
will be very efficient and fast.
    primary thing:
    you need to drop out the WHEN OTHERS THEN NULL;
also, take advantage of the NO_ROWS_FOUND exception for finding out if a row exists in the database. (instead of doing an IF statement on the results of COUNT(*))
    back to your problem
You'll need to investigate which row is causing the problem.
Most likely, it is the zipcode that was the input for the search.  I've seen this occur many times on similar trigonometric calculations.
You may have to surround a lot of those trigonometric functions with ROUND( ____, 25) to get it to work.
However, I highly advise you to take a look at what can be done with Oracle Spacial

  • More on Out of Memory Error

I recently purchased the CS3 Master Suite. Am running Encore 3.0.1.008. Have a dual core with 2 gigs, Vista.
Built a medium size movie with a 70 clips, 14 timelines, and 14 menus. Everything linked nicely, check project finds no errors. Projected size of result on DVD: 3.003 Gigs.
Invoke build. Transcoder begins. Fails on second clip. Out of Memory Error.
Checked forums. Note existent of these problems going back many months. Tried various suggestions. Cleared media cache. Rebooted, reentered, restarted. Same result.
Also came across warning about 2 gig memory limit. However, note that many, many programs are written with input and output sizes much larger than resident memory. This is a CS101 design issue.
Because I was obligated to make a release to a client base with high expectations, I scaled back the project to an embarrassingly small size.
I would call it a demo size as opposed to an acceptable project size.
Of course, I needed to start from scratch. All attempts to prune the original project to smaller and smaller sizes failed (even with media cache clearing, rebooting). A project with 1 menu and 2 video clips did build.
My conclusion from this experience is that Encore was designed and tested to meet alpha-release demo standards. There is the well deserved expectation with other Adobe products: PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, etc, that production standards can be achieved.
My forum reading suggests that Encore has been in this crippled state for months, perhaps years. My question is, when can we expect a fix? There are plenty of software engineers out there who could bring this up to Photoshop standards.
I spent $2500 on the Master Suite with the expectation that I could do production work, not serve as unpaid QA for Adobe.

When I try to build a DVD this error appears
The instruction at 0x007fa94c referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
What can i do to fix this problem or to build my DVD..?
