This launches the System Landscape Wizard.
5.Select com.sap.NetWeaver.coll.appl.gw.
6.Choose Next.

11. Set your SAP system properties according to the details in the table below.
12. Choose Save.
13. In the Display drop list in the top right-hand side of the iView, select System Aliases for this system.
14. In Alias, enter Exchange.
15. Choose the Add button.
16. Choose Save to save your changes.

9. Enter parameters for the user, password, and mail server.
10. Choose Save.
System selection is not available if Testuser does not belong to the Administrators group.
5 Sending Email through the Portal
The sending of e-mails is integrated into SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0 using the SAP J2EE JavaMail implementation. This implementation can send e-mails using any SMTP protocol supported groupware server.
Create Java Mail Transport
Transport Checklist
You have configured the SMTP server appropriately:If you want to allow users to send e-mails outside the company domain using the portal, this server must be configured to relay e-mails outside the domain
The groupware server supports IMAP protocol:Optional. Messages sent from the portal can be stored on the groupware server only if the server supports IMAP protocol.
If the groupware server does not support IMAP protocol, users cannot save copies of their messages in the Sent messages folder.
All users have valid e-mail addresses in the portal LDAP:Every portal user must have a valid e-mail address. E-mail messages cannot be sent for users without an e-mail address.
1. From the top-level navigation, choose System Administration  System Configuration  Collaboration  Groupware Transports  Mail Transport.
2. Choose New, and enter the following values:
SMTP server:Address of the SMTP server for sending e-mails.
Sent messages folder:Optional parameter. Specify the folder on the server where the sent e-mail is to be stored(Sent Items on the Microsoft Exchange server or Sent on the Lotus Domino server. If this value is not specified, users are unable to save e-mails sent from the portal)
System alias name:Alias that you defined for the groupware server in the system configuration. For more information, see the section on SAP Systems in the Connectivity Guide.(Exchange)
3. Choose Apply.
4. Choose OK.

SAP Enterprise Portal System Administration u00AE System Configuration u00AE Knowledge Management u00AE Content Management u00AE Global Services u00AE (Show Advanced Options)  Mailing Service
2. Select Edit.
3. Check Active checkbox.
4. Select OK.

  • Project systems integration with portal (EP)

    Dear all,
I have to integrate the projects systems module with Portal.(EP)
In portal transactional I views can be used to create projects which can be store in the R/3.
Now the issue is to create projects with out using Transactional I views. This should be a simple entry through portal, where in the user keys in the key fields and there by the project is created and scheduled.
For this I have tried with using business packages given by SAP to integrate with portal.
Now the issue is I can display the projects that are created in R/3 through portal and display the necessary fileds required for viewing (I views). Now the main problem is to create the project using these business packages so that the same get updated in the R/3.
But business packages do not have the option of creating the project. I am using the business packages for projects 50.3.1
Has any body come across this type of issue which has to be integrated with portal and subsequent creation of projects through portal
If any body has done this in any other way please kindly share on this.
Experts please throw some pointers on this.
    Regards.
    Vara Prasad

  • How to use PPM 5 (standalone or integrated with portal)

    Hi,
I would like to know which advantages and disadvantages are presented by using PPM 5.0 standalone or integrated with portal? all functionality are the same in both cases? which is the best option?
    Thanks a lot,
    CAMILO URIBE

    Hi,
from a functionality point of view, standalone and portal usage of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 are the same (except functionality which is in general only available within a portal, e.g. KM documents, collaboration rooms, etc.).
From a TCO perspective, for the standalone usage you'll only need the ABAP stack (except for ADS), i.e. if you don't anyway already have a portal in use in your company, this could lead to a lower TCO.
    Kind regards,
       Florian

    1) What of SAP BI Frontend can be included in Portal (workbook, WAD,BEx analyzer or designer, AD-hoc)
    2) Do we have to create an Iview or does the EP guy creates one. Do i have to create seperate Iviews for seperate reports.
    3) If its a workbook that i need to weave in an IVIEW on the Portal , can someone provide me a step by step article, blog or forum.
Any other information i may need -but i need it in detail.
I wasnt able to find anything concrete all day yesterday and I write todayw ith reluctance. So please bear with me and point/lead me in the right direction.
    Points shall be assigned.

  • MS Outlook Integration with SAP

    Hi,
I have few questions on outlook integration ( CRM 4.0) which is as follows.
    1) Can we integrate Email by implementing Outlook integration in CRM 4.0? I heard that we can only integrate activities and tasks with SAP and MS outlook
    2) When we create contact information in the account screen in CRM PCUI under relationship tab, the attributes like email id, mobile number, fax number, designation and department gets stores in relationship pop up in CRM GUI. Can I transfer these data (maintained in relationship pop-up in GUI) to MS outlook? I heard it has to be maintained in contact master data and not in relationship pop-up.
    3) When a Contact Person is exchanged from CRM to Groupware having the relationship “Is Contact Person For” to an Organization in CRM, the name of the Company is displayed in Outlook Contact data. Also there is an option to display the address of the organization in the contact person’s communication fields. If the name of the Organization is changed or address data or communication fields are changed at a later point in time in CRM the updated name or address of the Company is not reflected in groupware contact for this Contact person. Is this True?
    4) If a Meeting request is created in Groupware with a Contact Person as invitee, his organization is NOT determined and added to the Business Activity.
E.g. it is NOT possible to determine the account of the contact person and add this account as the Activity Partner in the Business Activity. Is this True?
    Points will be rewarded****************

    Hi
    1) Unread eMails are shown in the inbox. In standard nothing more, but you can read the inbox entries and from there on build your own functionality to create an activity from there (pretty difficult). Other than that, only activities and tasks are integrated.
    2) It can be done. A customer of mine did it together with SAP, but they both together spend some 100 days into this solution - obviously not a standard solution.
    3) Yes, it is not updated as the shown adress is only inherited and does not belong to the CP. The CP is only updated if its own CRM data is changed.
    4) This is not a standard functionality of the groupware integration. However you could customize a reverse partner determination from contact person to its BP and put that into the business partner. I would try and trigger it OnSave, otherwise you need to go into the BAPI_Order_Save and program it yourself.
    Hope this helps,
    Kai

    Hi,
Weu2019re looking at implementing CRM and have some questions on whether SSO (Single Sign-On) is a requirement for integrating Outlook with CRM for access via Mobile\Blackberry devices or not. I've the following questions:
    - For integrating Outlook and Active Directory with CRM is SSO implementation a MUST?
    - Also, is it possible to integrate Outlook without Active Directory integration with SAP esp. CRM?
    Mandeep Virk

We got this figured out a couple of months earlier. It's nto a requirement to have SSO enabled for MS Outlook integration w/ CRM for Mobile\Blackberry use.
