OutOfMemoryError in unknown location

I am trying to track down an OutOfMemoryError in a large application. The error occurs when there is still room available for the VM to grow, provides no stack trace and there is nothing providing clues as to where it is occuring.
What I need is a way to identify where this is occuring. It is only occuring in production and the VM it runs inside houses 5 CORBA objects. The error could be occuring in any one of the calls on these objects or objects and methods that they call. The possiblities are nearly endless and would take an extremely long time to add code into each in order to find this error.
I have been experimenting locally trying to override the java.lang.OutOfMemoryError in order to attempt dumping a stack trace or providing some other type of helpful output, but am unsuccessful in getting the class to be used properly. I am overlaying it via the -Xbootclasspath argument sucessfully, but I do not see my constructors firing. Yet, I am able to call a custom method on mine and see output from it when I cast the caught Throwable, so I know mine is being used.
I also tried overlaying Throwable and again, I can see that mine is being used, but the constructors do not appear to be firing.
Any advice on how to get my OutOfMemoryError class working properly, get the original OutOfMemoryError object to dump a stack trace, or another way to proceed with finding where this error is occuring?
Any help appreciated. Thanks,

Did you ever figure this problem out?
I am having the same issue and can't for the life of me figure it out.
Thanks!

  • Workgroup client application issues during OSD/ No site assigned, unknown location

Testing SCCM 2012 operating system deployment with MDT 2013 integration.
I have a build and capture sequence setup and all is good apart from Application installs, they fail.
I've read through the other similar threads but nothing applied works in my scenario.
The same apps deploy to existing CM clients successfully.
Packages can be deployed successfully during the task sequence.
I've tried using the subnet the client uses as a boundary. I've tried an IP range, no luck.
I've added DNSSUFFIX SMSMP FSP in the setup windows and configmgr step
I've set the DP to allow anonymous access.
The MP dns srv record is present in DNS.
In the logs it always says the workgroup client is in an unknown location and therefore doesn't get a Site code.
The logs say that the MP info is missing even though I've tried /mp and SMSMP.
If I join the domain all is good. I don't want to join the domain during the build and capture sequence but if I have to then I will.
Any ideas would be very welcome.
    Cheers

  • I am in nanchang jiangxi china but my local weather and google map is showing unknown location so Plz help me

I am in nanchang jiangxi china but my local weather and google map is showing unknown location so Plz help me

The weather application is powered by "Yahoo". It doesn't have all cities listed in the database and your city is also not listen. Therefore it's not showing your local weather. You can "ADD" a nearby location in the weather application.
For the location problem, turn the location service "OFF" & "ON". Restart your phone (by long pressing the ON & OFF button on top right & slide to tun off). Then use a WIFI connection to run the google map application and locating your position. I hope this will fix the issue.

  • Unknown "Location" Parameter in Filter

I am using Access 2007 with tables linked to Oracle 11g with ODBC Driver 11.02.00.01
The table being filtered is "Object_Tbl" and the Column I'm filtering on is "Object ID."
When I try to apply the filter, just to select a few items, I'm seeing a dialog box prompting for a parameter value on OBJECT_TBL.OBJECT_ID.Location
If I click past the dialog, the behavior is inconsistent: either none of the records are returned or the filter is ignored and all records are returned.
I was thinking this "Location" parameter might be something coming from ODBC.
Any light you can shine on this subject for me will be greatly appreciated.

I have not worked with 11g version but I believe that if you use Answers as a datasource then you can not have parameters on the BI publisher side. Not sure if that has changed. Please let me know if this is incorrect.
I guess you would have to use dashboard prompts and presentation variables and note that the Presentation variable MUST BE same as the parameters defined in the BI Publisher. Take a look at the following link for an example.

  • Location Assignment not working

Hi Guys - Have I gone mad
I am trying to get Location Assignment working and appear to be having some problems.
My environment is Server Windows 2008 R2, Workstations XP SP3.
I have performed the following tasks.
    Created a Corporate Location
Created a Network Environment and assigned it to the above Location
Created matching criteria in the Network Environment which at the moment is the IP Address of my test Workstation.
Create a Location Assignment Policy and Assigned to my test Devices
When I look at the client agent, as I have permitted the Locations to be manually changeable, I can see both the Unknown Location and the Corporate Location. However no matter what Network Environment Settings I use I cannot get the Workstation to match my Corporate Location and the Agent always assigns Unknown for the Security Location and Unknown for the Configuration Location.
Am I missing a step or have I gone mad. Please help Im going round in circles.
    Regards

I found out that this problem is NIC-related.
This is the NIC which is not working:
Intel(R) 82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection (HP DC7900 Small From Factor)
I then used this "Intel(R) Pro/100+ Management Adapter" in the same workstation and disabled the integrated NIC. That did the trick, the location was right now.
So this is a hardware-related bug.
What NIC are you using Chris? Maybe its the same one...

  • Management point location for workgroup clients in DMZ

    Hi All,
I am trying to install the SCCM 2012 client to some servers that are located in a workgroup and in a DMZ at our organization.
I have read up about the config for this and I think that we have everything in place but the clients themselves are not locating a management point which I think is due to the setup of the IIS on the management points.
Firstly, I ammended the local hosts file on the system to ensure that the server could resolve the SCCM site server and 2 management points by using NetBIOS and FQDN. I also checked that the ports are opened from the client to the
    management point.
I then ran ccmsetup using the following switches /noservice /mp=smsmp SMSSITECODE=XXX SMSSLP=SMSMP FSP=SMSSITESERVER CCMHTTPPORT=24555 CCMHTTPSPORT=24556 RESETKEYINFORMATION=TRUE which appers to have sucessfully installed the client
but is now failing to communicate with the MP specified. I am seeing on the client the following repeated in the locationservices.log

I understand that this points to the IIS authentication issue so I have tried browsing to http://smsmp.domainname.com/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist and
I do get a list of management points returned so I'm a little confused now. The other thing that confuses me is that we also have another domain we manage clients
in and these systems have all registered with the MP fine even though there is no trust relationship in place between the 2 domains.
I have checked anonymous authentication has been enabled on the SMS_MP virtual directory but I can see that it is set to use a user account of IUSR, but this is not a local user on the MP nor an AD user from what I can see.
Is anybody able to point me in the correct direction of either what I am doing wrong or which settings I should be checking?
Thanks in advance for any help
    Andrew

You mention in your ccmsetup install properties: CCMHTTPPORT=24555 CCMHTTPSPORT=24556
While the MPList test you provided shows:
    http://smsmp.domainname.com/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist
    This is on port 80
Where is your MP? Port 80 or 24555 ?

Also Pl. let me know how can I check the service file for the entry and if not found how can I create that bcos I don't hv access to the OS (HP UX) on which I am creating the RFC connection.
    Thanx and Regards,
    Rohit

  • Every geotagged pictures imported labelled as Unknown Place

Hi have lately installed iPhoto 8.0 (from iLife '09) and I like it a lot. I already had some of my pictures that were geotagged (the pictures took from my iPhone) but iPhoto does not name the place for them. They all appears as "Lieu sans nom" (or Unknown place in English...I am operating in French).
I did verified in the iPhoto preferences and the "search for place" is set to "automatically". I also tried to export, rename and reimport without success. The pins are correctly positioned but since the place is not named, I cannot use the browse feature (by country, states, etc.).
    What I am doing wrong?

I tried to see if there were strange location properties using EXIF Viewer and everything seems fine. There is noting defined in the location. Just plain good latitude & longitudes. Just FYI, you do not need EXIF viewer to verify this. You just have to show the image properties from iPhoto.
One development. The same pictures on another computer gives perfect results. The location are identified correctly and there is no more Unknown location.
I tried to rebuilt my whole library from scratch using iPhoto Library Manager and it gives the same exact result. Again, the same original pictures imported into another computer works perfectly so I don't think that this issue comes from the pictures. Furthermore, to rebuild the library from scratch do not help.
    Can you help me?
