Output Determination from the Customer Master Record

Dear All,
Can anybody please help me out with the configuration level settings for output proposal from the customer master record.
Thanks
Deepak Joshi

Hi there,
Can you pls let me know from where did you get the information that O/p can be triggered from customer master records? & in what scenarios you can trigger them?
My experience in SAP tells me that O/p can only be truggered through condition techique where you will assign the determination procedure to the sales doc type.
No where I have seen assigning the O/p determination procedure to something related to customer / customer types.
For the O/p to trigger you need to maintain condition master records. I hope you are not getting confused between condition records & customer master records.

  • Delete classification from specific customer master records

We utilize customer master classificaitons to house cost centers specific to certain customers.  Most of them default and do not require this set-up.  I need to remove it for a few select customers, but cannot find instructions on removing the classification from the customer master record altogether, once it has been set up.  I can blank out the value, but i would really like to go the next step.

    Hello,
Can you please confirm if it is XD02 ? As you can delete classification from the customer using that. But please provide more details on what customer data it is ?
    Thanks

  • A text on the invoice header It is copied from the customer master

Hi need to create a text in smart form the requirement is as below
It’s a text on the invoice header. It is copied from the customer master to the order than to delivery and finally on the invoice.
    Regards
    Rasheed

    Hi!
You have to write a code in your SMARTFORM for this.
First you have to read the customer master data from the table KNA1.
Then you have to read from the SD order and invoice, this can be found in table VBPA.

  • Deleting Partners from the Customer Master that are on Open Sales Orders.

Does SAP handle removing the Partner from Open Sales Orders when a Partner is deleted in the Customer Master.  For us, this is not happening, this there some config that must be turned on for this to happen ?
Or do we have place in code in a User Exit in the Customer Master to check for Open Sales Orders and if so, block the Deleting of the Partner ?  If so, what User Exit should be used ?
Looking to see how others have handled this.
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi David,
    Try this user exit.

  • Account group in the customer master record.

    Hi .
Why we have to use the ACCOUT GROUP For customer.
Account group differs for sold to party, ship to party, bill to party and payer.
but when we create a sales order if we enter the sold to party automatically the ship ,bill and payer will be taken by the system.
can any one give me the sufficient solution for this.
    thanks

    Hi,
For customer creation ACCOUNT GROUP plays a vital role.
Based on this Account Group only, concerned Fields will be activated. Thats why, when we create a Sold to pary it will ask for much information in all the tabs, where as, for ship to, bill to and payer all these fields are not required.
using the path : IMG -> Logistics General -> Business Partners -> Customer -> Control -> Define Transaction Dependent Screen Layout -> double click on Create Customer (sales)
here you can activate or make mandatory or optional all the fileds which are available in different tabs of the customer master.
And This you can do based on account groups also
Goto T.Code OBD2, select the account group (say 0001 sold to) and you can activate make which are all the fileds required for that customer. Like this you can do for all the account groups, so whenever u create the customer master based on that account group only those fileds will be asked by system.
For sold to party, we require all the info like sales, shipment, billing and parnter funtion. But for ship to you need only shiping data, for bill to you need only billing data, for payer you need billing also. for all these general data is required.
And where as for your second query, when you create a sales order automatically ship to, payer , bill to will come automatically based on what you maintaine in the sold to customer master. By default when you create a sold to, partner functions will be taken as the same for ship to, bill to , payer. Then you have to create different customers using account groups shipto, bill to and payer and those customer numbers you maintain in the sold to customer master -> Sales Area data -> partner functions.
Then whenever you create the sales order, differnt customer will be picked based on that data.
    Hope this is clear.
    Thanks

  • Goods receiving hours in the customer master.

    Friends,
Can any one explain goods receiving hours in the customer master. what exactly this fields is used.
    thanks
    Devi reddy

    Hi,
We define the possible goods receiving hours of your customers. With this function, you can plan the shipping activities so that the deliveries arrive by the desired deadline in the right city at the right time.
The goods receiving hours are copied by the System from the customer master record into the delivery header according to the unloading point and the delivery date.
Goto IMG -> Sales & Distribution -> Master Data -> Business Partner -> Customer ->Shipping ->Define Goods Receiving Hours.
Here you define the goods receing hours by 3 digit number, for example, Week days only or also on Satur days ect. use the same in customer master.
    Hope this is clear.
    thanks

  • Zfield is not apearing in the batch input session ( Customer Master Record)

    Hello,
We have added one Z field in the customer master record (sales are tab). But this Z table not appear in the Batch Input session(SM35). My user want to update this field for all the customers at once, but this Z field not appearing even in MASS transaction.
For your information, we have appended the KNVV table. Can any one of you give some suggestions on this.
    Regards,
    Srinivas.

It's rather easy via a custom ABAP program to wait for the end of a batch input session. Some codes were already pubilshed (look whole SCN for APQI-QSTATE).
What you can do is to select the sessions to be started via this custom program, and it will submit a job which will run in an endless loop until the last session is released. It might use a WAIT UP TO X SECONDS to sleep for a few seconds between each scan of session status.

  • Customer master record

well, i m new in sap..may i know what is customer hirarchy, how does it work...and how to configure it in the system?

    Hi,
    CUSTOMER HIERARCHY:
Customer hierarchies are available in Sales and Distribution, so that you can create flexible hierarchies to reflect the structure of customer organizations. If your customer base includes multi-level buying groups, cooperatives, or chains of retail outlets, for example, you can create hierarchies to reflect the structure of these groups. Use customer hierarchies during sales order processing and billing for determining pricing and running statistics.
A customer hierarchy consists of nodes.
    To create a customer hierarchy:
    1. Create master records for each node.
    2. Assign the nodes to each other.
    3. Assign the customer master records to the relevant nodes.
Hierarchy nodes are only valid for a certain period of time. They may also be moved. If a node is moved, the system automatically reassigns all related nodes and customer master records.
With customer hierarchies, you can assign price or rebate agreements to a higher level node. The agreements are then valid for customer’s at all subordinate levels to this node. You can create pricing condition records for each node indicated as relevant for pricing. If one or more nodes in the hierarchy path of a sales order contain pricing information, the system takes them into account automatically during pricing.
    'How to check'
All the customizing is in SD/Master Data/Business Partner/Customers/Customers hierarchy
All the customizing is in SD/Master Data/Business Partner/Customers/Customers hierarchy
    1) Define hierarchy type: just put and ID and a name to the new hierarchy.
    2) Set partner determination: if you want to user the hierarchy in price determination, then, in the orders, at the header level, you have to have a Partner Procedure with a partner function for each level. In the partner procedure, in each partner function you must indicate the source partner function. With this information, in the order, you obtain the business partner for each partner function.
    3) Assign account groups: you indicate which accounts groups are allowed for being part or your hierarchy.
    4) Assign sales areas: simple you indicate which sales areas are allowed in your hierarchy. (Here you can customize common sales areas, just for not having to build de hierarchy in all the different sales areas).
    5) Assigning hierarchy type for pricing: you indicate which classes of documents uses hierarchy in pricing determination.
It is possible to maintain so called customer hierarchies. This might be useful when for example you create a condition discount for a customer that is part of such a hierarchy structure. All subnodes in the hierarchy below that customer, will thus receive the same discount.
Customer hierarchy setup, firstly decide the hierarchy type to be used.
    The standard is type A.
You can also assign a partner function to the customer so that the higher level customer in the hierarchy is copied into a sales order as a partner function - but you don't need that right?
Next assign your customer account group to the hierarchy type. And enter the combinations that will be allowed for creating the hierarchy.
You want to assign a ship-to to a payer. So enter the ship to account group and enter the payer account group as the higher level.
You must also make an entry for permitted sales area assignments. So if you want to a hierarchy for customers in the same sales area then enter the sales area and enter the same one as the higher level sales area.
All these settings can be found in the IMG. Under SD - master data - business partners - customers - customer hierarchy
You use for example customer hierarchy when you have an company like Unilever and you agree both on a discount. Unilever does have different locations / businesses and you have to maintain the discount for all customers. If you use a customer hierarchy you can maintain the discount for the partner in the top of the hierarchy and in this way it will be valid for all customers in the hierarchy.

  • Vendor in Customer Master Record

    Hi,
Need to make the tie between vendor and customer. I could not find any fields in the customer master record (XD01 / XD02 / XD03) for this purpose. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Douglas

The vendor link is located on the customer master in General Data --> Control Tab.  It is at the top under account control.  As the previous poster mentioned, if you are not seeing it is because it is supressed and you need to open it up through config.
The config is located in the following area:  Financiall Accounting >Accounts Recivable / AP> Customer Accounts --> Master Data --> Prep for creating customer master data --> define account groups with screen layout
    Kind Regards,

  • Where to Store D&B # (DUNS) on customer master record

    Hello,
I've been trying to find a field to store the Dun & Bradstreet (9 character DUNS #).  I had heard there was a field available in R/3, but can't find it anywhere so I might have heard incorrectly.  After doing some searches I can only find the field available on the BW system.  I also came across a field on the vendor record but that's not going to be helpful either.
Is there a field to store a DUNS number on the customer master record?  I'm on ECC6.
    Thanks,
       Jonathan

    Hi jonathan
If you want to know where the data is getting is stored like customer changes (i.e. address changes, sold to another company, credit scores, etc...).Then go to sales area data ->environment->sales data and click on execute. System will show the tables and fields which have been changed and when they have been changed
use t.code VC/2 for sales summary , may be this will help you

  • Maintain Sales Tax Exemption Certificate info in Customer Master Record

    Hello people!
I really need your help in this one: we are going to implement SAP in a company settled in Canada. The users requested us that it is highly important to maintain Tax exemption certificate for GST (GST is "Goods and sales tax" -- not withholding) in the customer master record.
I couldn't find anything in SAP to store this info in the Customer Master Record... have you ever had this issue before? is there a workaround? We are not using any external tax system (for example: Vertex). Any information is useful. Thanks in advance. Maria.

    Hi Maria,
I was going through how GST works and I think you can create Tax codes under withholding tax and use the same as withholding tax.
As per my understanding of GST, all your process can be met...
However, for reports because there is no standard avail, you would need to develop reports..
    Hope this helps..
    Cheers,

  • About customer master record

    hi
how to delete the customer master record in the company code
    regards
    raj

    Hi Rai,
U can delete customer master record company code based by using Tcode XD06, Sales org based by using Tcode VD06.
simply if u created customer by using Tcode XD01, for deletion u can use XD06, in case if u created by using Tcode VD01, then u can use VD06 for deletion.
