Output in the application server

hi friends ,
i am displaying a graph in my out put .same time i want to place the graph in application server .
and i want to display this in a smart form.how can i place this out put in the application server.

this can be done by writing the file to Application server through SE38 program.you can use CG3Y and CG3Z transaction.use AL11 to view file

Upload tab-delimited file from the application server to an internal table

Hello SAPients.
I'm using OPEN DATASET..., READ DATASET..., CLOSE DATASET to upload a file from the application server (SunOS). I'm working with SAP 4.6C. I'm trying to upload a tab-delimited file to an internal table but when I try load it the fields are not correctly separated, in fact, they are all misplaced and the table shows '#' where supposedly there was a tab.
I tried to SPLIT the line using as separator a variable with reference to CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>HORIZONTAL_TAB but for some reason that class doesn't exist in my system.
Do you know what I'm doing wrong? or Do you know a better method to upload a tab-delimited file into an internal table?

Moving of flat file from the application server after upload.

Hi All,
I am uploading data from a flat file placed on the application server by a BDC program.
After the BDC has created the session i want to transfer the flat file from that folder to another folder on the application server by changing the name of the flatfile.
Can any one suggest the best way of doing this particular scenario?

My problem is I really need to output the XML to the application server, so I need to replace the call to cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download with something that will download the xml to the app server.
I've tried using OPEN DATASET/TRANSFER/CLOSE DATASET, and while I am getting a file created on the app server, it only contains one line of XML.
My code looks lile this:

How to archive billing docs in PDF format on the application server?

Hi,
I want to archive billing docs in PDF format on the application server.
Formerly on our SAP system, Archivelink was set up to archive these documents to an HTTP content server. Since we no longer have this server, I want to adapt it to simply output the PDFs to a filesystem on the application server. I have tried to reconfigure the content repository (tcode OAC0) without success.
Am I on the right track?
If so, which document area, storage type, etc should I use?

from DMS point of view you may use the storage category 'DMS_C1_ST' and the content repository 'DMS_C1' as a kind of template. The document area for DMS storage categories has to be maintained as 'DMS'.

Creating a directory statically in the Application Server

Hi,
I need to create a directory in the application server statically (not through code), in which I later have to store and read files. Most forums talk about doing this through AL11 --> Configure.
While this does create an entry in the directory list in AL11, I doubt if the directory was actually created in the AS. Double clicking this directory name shows an error message in the status bar (Wrong order of calls <- CALL opendir: No such file or directory). So I believe the directory is not created at all.
How do I set up a directory which I can browse and see, and use for creating / reading files?
My AS is on AIX OS.

Yes, Could we not do it from SAP screens?
Go to Al11 and in that you can see a tab Configure.
There you can create the Directory and say Add button
and then Save .
and after that Using
Open Data set ds1 for Output.
will create the File if it is not there .
you can specify the path in which you can create the files.

Well i really haven't come across your scenario i many years . But my suggestion is to can use java code to achieve the same .
Or try to use hexadecimal type in your normal class to read the pie-chart and use transfer with same type .

Sending IDOC information in the XML format on the application server

Hello All,
We have a requirement like, while creating a billing document, an IDOC should be generated and the XML file should be created for that data in IDOC and that XML file would be sent to further via XI.
For this purpose, we have created
1. Logical Sender Receiver Systems We are sending the data from DL3 system 100 client to DL3 800 client
2. Assigned the clients to the logical system.
3. Created the distribution model with the message type INVOIC.
4. Created the partner profiles.
5. Created an XML port in transaction WE21, in which the application server file path is mentioned on which the xml file would be generated and the function module is provided which will only generate the file name is mentioned. In the outbound trigger tab the RFC destination is mentioned which is of type TCP/IP LOCAL_EXEC
6. In transaction WE20, for the 100 logical system added the message type INVOIC as a outbound parameter and same for the 800 client. The receiver port is mentioned as XML port which we have created.
Now, when we create the billing document via VF01 transaction, we give the transmission medium as ALE in the output. Hence the IDOC gets generated. The XML file also gets generated but the contents of the file are ONLY control records of the IDOC.
And not the data record and the status records.
The IDOC, if we see in WE02 displayes all the data in control , data and status records.
We want the control, Data and Status records of the IDOC to be populated in the XML file.
Please suggest if any extra configuration is required in this case. We are working on SAP 4.6.

Hi,
You can use the OPEN DATASET statment.
Probably you must be having an output table which you are downloading to the local machine.You can use the same and loop at it. and if the OPEN dataset returned sy-subrc 0, use the TRANSFER statment.
Remember the data will be binary for pdf. So you have to open the dataset in binary mode.

Error Writing Xml Table to the application server

Hi All ,
I am converting a internal table into a XML table using Fm SAP_CONVERT_TO_XML_FORMAT, And then writing it to the application server ,
at the end of the file which is written to application server there are some junk characters .
when i download the same xml table to PC using gui_download there is no problem atr all .
Its only when i using
TRANSFER ls_XMLTAB-data TO lv_filename. i get junk characters at the end and the error on the xml page is
" An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Documents and Settings..."
This i guess is due to the line break ,
Any help on resolving would be great thanks

I would simply suggest to convert xml xstring to binary table, then transfer the file in binary mode. This way you avoid character conversions which might lead to inconsistencies. So you need the following
CALL TRANSFORMATION ...
    DATA ex_tab TYPE TABLE OF x255.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
      EXPORTING
        buffer     = ostream_xml
      TABLES
        binary_tab = ex_tab.
OPEN DATASET dset FOR OUTPUT IN BINARY MODE.
"now transfer ex_tab to dset
