Output results to more columns...

Hi!
I have problem, for which I didn't find solution yet.
I have query and this query returns the unknown count of rows (this row count is unknown in time of developing). I would like output results of this query to more than one result column to the screen.
Example:
I would like output results like this:
Result 1 Result 3 Result5
Result 2 Result 4
so the number of the rows is minimal!!!
It can be called real down/across!
(not like this:
Result 1
Result 2
Result 3
Result 4
Does anybody know the generic solution, how to do?
Thanks!

  • How to call a SP with dynamic columns and output results into a .csv file via SSIS

hi Folks, I have a challenging question here. I've created a SP called dbo.ResultsWithDynamicColumns and take one parameter of CONVERT(DATE,GETDATE()), the uniqueness of this SP is that the result does not have fixed columns as it's based on sales from previous
days. For example, Previous day, customers have purchased 20 products but today , 30 products have been purchased.
Right now, on SSMS, I am able to execute this SP when supplying  a parameter.  What I want to achieve here is to automate this process and send the result as a .csv file and SFTP to a server.
SFTP part is kinda easy as I can call WinSCP with proper script to handle it.  How to export the result of a dynamic SP to a .CSV file?
    I've tried
    EXEC xp_cmdshell ' BCP " EXEC xxxx.[dbo].[ResultsWithDynamicColumns ]  @dateFrom = ''2014-01-21''"   queryout  "c:\path\xxxx.dat" -T -c'
SSMS gives the following error as Error = [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]BCP host-files must contain at least one column
    any ideas?
    thanks

Hey Jakub, thanks and I did see the #temp table issue in our 2008R2.  I finally figured it out in a different way... I manage to modify this dynamic SP to output results into
a physical table. This table will be dropped and recreated everytime when SP gets executed... After that, I used a SSIS pkg to output this table
to a file destination which is .csv.
The downside is that if this table structure ever gets changed, this SSIS pkg will fail or not fully reflecting the whole table. However, this won't happen often
and I can live with that at this moment.
    Thanks

  • Creation of Z reports for client adding two more column that is Purcahse order and delivery dates with Internal order wise

    HI Experts,
Can any one help me to add two more column for standard report that is purchase order and delivery dates for Internal order wise.
But here problem is when i checked with ABAP team they said there is no standard functional module to add two column.
    Please note below :
Selection criteria is: 1) controlling area
                                  2) Fiscal Year
                                  3) From date and To date
                                  4) Plan Version
                                  5) Order Group.
My client suggested : S_ALR_87012993 this tcode to run, but we suggested with S_ALR_87013019 as in this tcode we can get all the details
That is required output fields, as it is showing all details but on yearly basis, he wants this to be period wise and also Abap team is not able to find standard functional module in the second tcode as well.
Out Put fields to Pop up
    1) Orders.
    2) Budget
    3) Actual
    4) commitment
    5) Alloted
    6) Available
    These are two additional column
    7)Purchase order
    8) Delivery date.
Require your help to know which all tables are included to extract above out put fields please help me.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Sudesh

    Hi Preeti,
Thanks for reply, can you please let me know is there any other way to show the output fields.
As my client is very specific to run the report on period wise, i also tried to execute the standard tcode S_ALR_87013019 and were we are getting all the required outputs to pop up but this is on year wise, but we can also check by period basis by clicking on order number and actual period basis where we can see period basis.
Also one more question, what is the commitment table which is popping up in this, please advise.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Show more columns using HtmlDataTable

The thing is that this code works...the result is html with one column in each row filled with "col1", "name1", "value1".
What I want to do is to get html with three columns with separated strings("col1", "name1", "value1") in each row!
What I must to change in code? Is it in mybean or in h:dataTable?
    Thx for any help!

    MyBean code:
    public HtmlDataTable getDataTable() {

The Music app on the iPad doesn't have configurable columns. You can set the rating of the current track, but you can't make changes to other properties such as Comments or Genre. In iTunes on your Mac you can display different columns and resize them. Tweak your tags in the main library.

  • Could show more columns at detail page?

we are new at html db, there are a few of questions we need to clear before we make decision to use HTML DB to develop our next version of application: (I seperate them at differenct topics).
    * By click link at query result page (table may has 5 columns), could show more columns at detail page (may 10 columns) with editable mode?
    Thanks
    Lei

one way to do this would be to have your link take you to another similar looking page in your app that's an updatable report for the 10 columns you need. you could use our "tabular form" wizard to create that updatable report (if your tablular form is going to joining multiple tables, you might need to create an updatable view on the tables and build your form off that. you could also build that tabular form yourself. we have a how-to doc, "Build tabular forms for multi-row operations", for that at http://otn.oracle.com/products/database/htmldb/howtos/index.html ).

Are you asking how to pivot the results of the query? Do a search for horizontal looping. If that's not what you are asking, please provide more details.

  • Output CMR1 for more than one ship to party

    Hello experts,
i have a shipment with some deliveries and more than one ship to party. In fact each stage in the shipment represents a ship to party.
The assigned output CMR1 is just created for one (the first) ship to party.
My question is: is it possible to get an CMR1 output for each ship to party of a shipment?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Hannes

It is not possible to do it for multiple ship to parties using standard SAP in outputs. However if you maintain the output result in a spool, then you can convert the spool into a PDF and send it to whoever you want using the function module
    CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF
    Hope this helps.
    Reward if this helps.

  • DATEXPORT exporting more columns

I am trying to use the DATAEXPORT command to export data from a cube and having issues on retricting the number of columns in the out put.
For example I only want to see 5 months of data( the period dimension is a dense dimension . The other dense dimension I have is the account dimension, and all other dimensions are sparse) but I am getting more columns. It looks like if there's a block it displays the data and if there isn't a block it doesn't show the data
Here's the sample script and output. How can I always have the same number of columns in the output
As you can see sometimes there are more columns for the periods and sometimes less.I would like to always have 5 columns for the data

Thanks Amit for the feedback. I was able play with the Dataexport options and come to a conclusion.
Since I am using DataExportLevel All, and DataExportDynamicCalc off we cannot restrict the number of columns for periods , and it will show all period members, and to make sure we have same number of columns on each record we need to add DataExportRelationalFile ON;( the FIX has no effect to it)
So here are 2 possible solutions
    1. If you want to show only specific periods, then you need to use , but can only show level 0
    DATAEXPORTOVERWRITEFILE ON;
    DataExportRelationalFile ON;
    DataExportLevel LEVEL0;
    DataExportDynamicCalc OFF;
    2. In my case I use the following options, but it will show all periods. Just need to change the table to accomodate the new columns
    DataExportLevel All;
    DataExportDynamicCalc OFF;
    DATAEXPORTOVERWRITEFILE ON;
    DataExportRelationalFile ON;
    DataExportLevel LEVEL0;
    };

  • The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information. Outcome: Unknown Error

Received this error (The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.) recently on a workflow that was
working fine and no changes were made to the workflow.
I have tried a few suggestions, i.e. adding a pause before any ‘Update’ action (which didn’t help because the workflow past this action without incident); checked the data type being written
to the fields (the correct data types are being written); and we even checked the list schema to ensure the list names and the internal names are aligned (they
are), but we still cannot figure out why the workflow is still throwing this error.
We located the area within the workflow step where it is failing and we inserted a logging action to determine if the workflow would execute the logging action but it did not, but wrote the same error message.
The workflow is a Reusable Approval workflow designed in SharePoint Designer 2010 and attached to a content type.
The form associated with the list was modified in InfoPath 2010.
Approvers would provide their approval in the InfoPath form which is then read by the workflow.
Side note - items created after the workflow throws this Unknown Error some seem to be working fine.
We have deleted the item in question and re-added it with no effect.
Based on what we were able to determine there don’t seem to be any consistency with how this issue is behaving.
Any suggestions on how to further investigate this issue in order to find the root cause would be greatly appreciated?
    Cheers

    Hi,
I understand that the reusable workflow doesn’t work properly now. Have you tried to remove the Update list item action to see whether the workflow can run without issue?
If the workflow runs perfectly when the Update list item action is removed, then you need to check whether there are errors in the update action. Check whether the values have been changed.

  • The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information using Update Item action

I got error  "The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information "I  found out the cause is  Update Item action
I need to update item in another List call Customer Report ,the field call "Issues"  with data type  "Choice"   to yes
then the error arise .   please help..

Thanks for the quick response Nikhil.
Our SPF 2010 server is relatively small to many setups I am sure. The list with the issue only has 4456 items and there are a few associated lists, eg lookups, Tasks, etc see below for count.
    Site Lists
Engagements = 4456 (Errors on this list, primary list for activity)
Tasks = 7711  (All workflow tasks from all site lists)
Clients = 4396  (Lookup from Engagements, Tslips, etc)
Workflow History = 584930 (I periodically run a cleanup on this and try to keep it under 400k)
Tslips = 3522 (Engagements list can create items here, but overall not much interaction between lists)
A few other lists that are used by workflows to lookup associations that are fairly static and under 50 items, eg "Parters Admin" used to lookup a partners executive admin to assign a task.

  • Store the result of the column in variable in answer

    Hi All,
Is there a way to store the value of the result of the column of the report and use that value in calculation in another report. I need to get the grandtotal value which changed according to the prompt and want to use that grand total value to calculate new column in another report. Can we use presentation variable? I want to store the total value 30 and then calculate the region percentage. I am not able to store the total value and create the new column calculation using the total value.
    Region 1 10 *0.33*
    Region 2 20 *0.67*
    Total 30
    Thanks,
    Virat

You can use this Report as a Subreport in the Final Report, and apply a filter the column=subreport.columnvalue.

  • Adding field in standard SAP transaction output results.

    Hi,
I have to add a new field in standard SAP transaction output results.
Can any one tell me what are the ways (brief explanation) that I can do this?
If using exists - then what kind of exists I have to use? And how to find out the possibility with user exists?
    Thanks for your time.
    Thanks.
    Chris.

    Hi,
There are so many ways to find out the user exits.
    Hi,
To see SAP Exits -> Use Tcode SMOD
To See create a project for Customer Exits -> Use Tcode CMOD
There are projects to which Exits are assigned. Selects the relevant projects.
    What is User Exit:
    http://www.sap-img.com/abap/what-is-user-exits.htm
    How to find then:
    http://www.sap-img.com/abap/a-short-tutorial-on-user-exits.htm
    All Exits List:
    http://www.easymarketplace.de/userexit.php
Do a search on SAP Exits, Customer Exits, enhancements, etc
    Step 1 :- Execute transaction
step 2 :- Click on Status Menu
step 3 :- Double click on the program (screen) __?????___
Step 4 :- Search source code for the 'Customer-Function' string using the find button. Remember to select 'In main program'.
Step 5 :- A list of search results should be displayed indicating where all function exits can be found.
You can now double click on each of them to go to its position in the source code. This also
allows for the insertion of breakpoints so that you can test if the exits are called in the
    appropriate place.
Step 6 :-Once you have found the Function Exit within the source code (Find Function Exit) you need to
access the actual function module it executes. This is done using the following steps:
    Step 6.1 :-
    Step 1
Locate desired 'Call Customer-function' statement within source code.
    Step 2
If code is not within main program (module pool) e.g. SAP* then you will need to find this
out by selecting 'Main Program' from the 'GOTO' menu. The Main program for transaction
    Step 3
The actual function module name can now be calculated based on the information retrieved,
it is defined by the following format:
    EXIT_<Program name>_<Exit number>
    eg :- 'EXIT_SAPLMR1M_004'.
    Step 7.1:-
Once you have found the Exit function module
    Step 1
    Execute transaction CMOD
    Step 2
Select 'SAP Enhancements' from the 'Utilities' menu.
    Step 3
Select 'All selections' from the 'Edit' menu.
    Step 4
Now populate the Component name field with the exit function module and press
    the execute button.
    Step 5
A list of all Exits(Enhancements) containing that function module should now be displayed.
    Step 5
You can now double click on the desired exit to display a detailed description of its uses and a list of all
    components contained in it.
    Implementing Function Exit
This is required in-order to activate Function exit:
    Step 1
The first step is to enter source code into function module in the usual way i.e. via SE37.
There will already be an include declaration within the code with the following
    format: Include zx*.
Double click on this to create it, source code can then be entered within here.
Although it is good practice to create another include with this to store your
code, this allows separation of difference enhancements allowing them to be easlity
    removed without de-activating the enhancement.
    Step 2
Execute transaction CMOD and create new Enhancement. Enter name and press the create
    Button.
    Step 3
The following screen should be displayed, enter short text then click on the 'Enhancement
    Step 4
Now enter the Exit name (enhancement) which contains the desired Function Exit.
    Step 5
Return to initial screen of CMOD and press the activate icon. The exit is now ready for use.
