Output Service invocation with webservices

Hello,
I want to invoke the output service with a Java Client using webservices. I have generated the proxy Java classes using Apache Axis, and then I wrote a Java Client invoking the output service, using a simple form (xdp file) and a data xml file.
The service invocation looks good (I have no erros in the log file) but I have no pdf file generated and I get the following error message..
     Print request successful. No output generated as recordLevel or recordName does not matches with the data file.
If anyone can help. Thanks !

The problem looks like you have not referenced your data source properly. <br /><br />Assume that you had this XML data source:<br /><br /><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><br /><batch><br /><LoanRecord><br /><mortgageAmount>500000</mortgageAmount><br /><lastName>Blue</lastName><br /><firstName>Tony</firstName><br /><SSN>555666777</SSN><br /><PositionTitle>Product Manager</PositionTitle><br /><Address>555 No Where Dr</Address><br /><City>New York</City><br /><StateProv>New York</StateProv><br /><ZipCode>51256</ZipCode><br /><Email>[email protected]</Email><br /><PhoneNum>555-7418</PhoneNum><br /><FaxNum>555-9981</FaxNum><br /><Description>Buy a home</Description><br /></LoanRecord><br /><LoanRecord><br /><mortgageAmount>300000</mortgageAmount><br /><lastName>White</lastName><br /><firstName>Sam</firstName><br /><SSN>555666222</SSN><br /><PositionTitle>Program Manager</PositionTitle><br /><Address>557 No Where Dr</Address><br /><City>New York</City><br /><StateProv>New York</StateProv><br /><ZipCode>51256</ZipCode><br /><Email>[email protected]</Email><br /><PhoneNum>555-7445</PhoneNum><br /><FaxNum>555-9986</FaxNum><br /><Description>Buy a home</Description><br /></LoanRecord><br /><LoanRecord><br /><mortgageAmount>700000</mortgageAmount><br /><lastName>Green</lastName><br /><firstName>Steve</firstName><br /><SSN>55566688</SSN><br /><PositionTitle>Project Manager</PositionTitle><br /><Address>445 No Where Dr</Address><br /><City>New York</City><br /><StateProv>New York</StateProv><br /><ZipCode>51256</ZipCode><br /><Email>[email protected]</Email><br /><PhoneNum>555-2211</PhoneNum><br /><FaxNum>555-2221</FaxNum><br /><Description>Buy a home</Description><br /></LoanRecord><br /></batch><br /><br />You must reference the XML data source that contains data records. An XML element is used to separate the data records. For example, in this XML data source, the XML element that separates data records is named LoanRecord.<br /><br />Plus - the XML element name must match the field name in your form. <br /><br />Your error is saying that the recordName or recordLevel does not match your data file. <br />     <br />Set the Record Name option by invoking the OutputOptionsSpec objects setRecordName method and passing a string value that specifies the XML element name in the data source that separates the data records. (For example-- LoanRecord).<br /><br />Hope this helps

  • Throttle Service Invocations with configurable qualities-of-service.

    Hello All,
    We are in the process of designing a system integrating 7 applications using BPEL as the integration Layer.
    Some of the services we use are Third Party Services and have varying Qualities-of-service. As events occur in each system, BPEL orchestrates the service invocations to propagate the events/data to other systems.
    Is there any way to throttle Service Invocations with configurable qualities-of-service? We do not want all Services to be invoked as soon as the events occur, as it may overload Services beyond their SLAs. We would want to throttle the Service Invocations per system or ideally per service.
    Thanks,
    Neil.

    It is possible using the dspMaxThreads and dspInvokeAllocFactor parameters. There is a good description of hoe to implement this in the best practice guide
    look in the section BPEL FAQ -> Threading

    OSB also has some functionality in this area.

  • Java service invocation with HTTP Request

    A simple HTTP Request containing the SOAP envelope is a valid way of calling a web service, right?
    It seems simpler and more efficient than the "traditional" ways (Axis, JAX-RPC, etc), so what are the disadvantages?
    Thanks in advance

  • Reg@ Dynamic invocation of Webservices using an Single Invoke

    Hi ,
    I am trying to implement Dynamic invocation of webservices using a single Invoke .
    Say , i have three webservices = WebA,WebB and Webc .Based on Logic , i need to invoke either of the webservice with an single Invoke .
    In [  ws-addressing.xsd ] there are different elements ,"Address" is for endpoint URL.PortType??ServiceName ?? .
    If i need to make use of this XSD can any one help me to map the WSDL components to this XSD Or lease suggest options if any ??
    Regards ,
    Naga

    http://blogs.oracle.com/dasoa/2010/09/11g_dynamic_partnerlink_example.html
    see the article he's refering too
    eventually you need something like :
    <assign>
    <copy>
    <from>
    <EndpointReference xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/addressing">
    <Address>http://localhost:9700/orabpel/default/UnitedLoan</Address>
    <ServiceName
    xmlns:ns1="http://services.otn.com">ns1:UnitedLoan</ServiceName>
    </EndpointReference>
    </from>
    <to variable="partnerReference"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>

  • Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion

    I was able to call the services on the development box - windows server without any problem at all, everything was working fine but the moment i uploaded to a linux box production server I get this error. "Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion"
    What could be the cause of this problem, i have googled a lot but no solution yet any ideas.

    Let me make it simple:
    1. Server A is our development server.- hosted inhouse with coldfusion installed.
    2. Server B is our production server - a linux server with coldfusion installed hosted on the internet
    3. Server C is a third party server containing the webservice - this is a windows server with .net
    coldfusion is installed on Server A, the code works here and can connect to server C without any problem. It gets the required respone
    but when the code was uploaded to server c it gives the error when we run it.
    now i tried just a simple code which works fine on server A below:
    <cfinvoke webservice="http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL" method="ConversionRate" returnvariable="ConversionRateResult">
        <cfinvokeargument name="FromCurrency" value="EUR" />
        <cfinvokeargument name="ToCurrency" value="USD" />
    </cfinvoke>
    <cfdump var="#ConversionRateResult#" />
    But when i uploaded it to server C: it returns the error
    Cannot generate stub objects for web service invocation.
    Name: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL. WSDL: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL. java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/coldfusion8/stubs/WS728929035/NET/webserviceX/www/Currency.java (No such file or directory) It is recommended that you use a web browser to retrieve and examine the requested WSDL document to ensure it is correct. If the requested WSDL document cannot be retrieved or is dynamically generated, it is likely that the target web service has programming errors.
    The error occurred in /home/works/public_html/currency.cfm: line 7
    5 :     <cfinvokeargument name="FromCurrency" value="EUR" />
    6 :
    7 :     <cfinvokeargument name="ToCurrency" value="USD" />
    8 :
    9 : </cfinvoke>
    Now if you try the preceeding code on a windows environment  it works fine but the moment you put in the in the linux environment it generates this error
    I feel that the error may actually be :
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/coldfusion8/stubs/WS728929035/NET/webserviceX/www/Currency.java (No such file or directory)
    but i am clueless as to what to do next
    Ok so I tried the wget command on the linux
    this is what i got
    -bash-3.2# wget http://www.webservicesx.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WDSL
    --2011-07-02 23:23:42--  http://www.webservicesx.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WDSL

  • WSDL problems with webservices deployment

    First, the problem: I need either to 1) be able to include a WSDL file as part of my ear-file deployment and have that WSDL be presented to consumers if they seek to browse the wsdl, or 2) get the dynamic WSDL generation to show public, https urls for schemaLocation and soap:address locations in the dynamically-generated WSDL.
    Configuration: Apache 2.2.3 proxy server receiving https requests and passing them back to a WebLogic 10.3.5 instance running on the internal network. The WebLogic instance has several applications running on it, and these applications make SOAP web service invocations between each other. Use case: public consumer makes https web service invocation to a publically-available url to invoke Service A, which in turn invokes a web service, Service B, running on the same WebLogic instance. The invocation from Service A to Service B is a localhost invocation since it's behind the firewall.
    What I'm seeing: if I browse the WSDL for Service A from the public area, the wsdl displays the server name and port in the schemaLocation and soap:address urls in the wsdl file. I, of course, don't want this, as I want the wsdl to display the publicly-browseable values (e.g. "https://www.seenbypublic.com:443/ws/UtilityService..."). So, I configure the server via the WebLogic admin console and specify a "Frontend Host" of www.seenbypublic.com, and a Frontend HTTPS Port of 443. I set the "WebLogic Plugin Enabled" flag via domain > Web Applications. I configure Apache (which already has the WL module installed) to use the following parameter "RequestHeader set WL-Proxy-SSL true" and restart everything. The server location changes in the dynamically-generated wsdl, but the server port does not (i.e. the urls in the wsdl are now http://www.seenbypublic.com:80/ws/UtilityService... (note the lack of SSL designation). Another problem is that now my same-server web service invocations that were taking placing using "localhost" are now using "www.seenbypublic.com" so instead of a local-box invocation, the request is coming out into the public domain and then back to the server, which is highly inefficient.
    So.... ideally, I'd be able to leave all the WebLogic "Frontend" settings alone, not mess with the WL plugin in Apache, and simply provide a wsdl url to my application to display when generating it's wsdls (or just let me provide the entire wsdl file as a resource). Is there any way to do that?
    Assuming no, what do I need to do to get the proper reflection of SSL designation in a dynamically-generated wsdl file? And - how can I tell WL to leave the "localhost" invocations alone?
    How's that for a Friday-afternoon problem?

  • Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16

    Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
    I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
    Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
    Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
    Validation error = 16
    From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
    Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd);      System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
    Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
    Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
    That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
    In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
    I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
    1.     Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
    2.     Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
    3.     Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
    4.     Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

    I received a workaround by an internal message.
    The how to guide is :
    -Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
    -Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
    -Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
    -Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
    -Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
    Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

  • Error in WebDynpro with WebServices

    Hi all,
    I’m getting some errors using applications deployed in WEB AS SP9 that runs as a WebDynpro IView in EP.
    Running the application as standalone (out of EP) this works fine.
    NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.9
    WebDynpro application using WebServices that access Oracle 8i database in the follow sequence:
    WebServices -> Session Bean stateless -> Entity Bean CMP (manage connections; generate sql code, etc.)
    In WebDynpro application we import WebService Model by the follow sequence:
    New Model - Import Web Service Model - Local Server for WSDL Source - <WebService deployed>
    In each WebServices we have created these methods:
    findByID(ID);
    getAll();
    insert(parameters);
    remove(ID);
    update(parameters);
    We guess that the error is generated in Entity Bean because all WebServices generate these errors.

    Hi,
    I feel this error is nothing to do with webservice model.
    Please check your application properties like startupPlug,Interface View etc. Set the properties correctly and deploy once again.

  • Invalid element RenderOptionsSpec - CB error while calling Output Service through web service

    Hi,
          I am trying to call generatePDFOutput from Output Service through web service.
    I have generated the proxy class using RAD webservice client option by http://10.235.0.232:8080/soap/services/OutputService?wsdl
    here is my code
    OutputServiceServiceLocator outputService =new OutputServiceServiceLocator();URL serviceURL =
    new URL("http://10.235.0.232:8080/soap/services/OutputService?blob=base64");OutputServiceSoapBindingStub outputClient =
    new OutputServiceSoapBindingStub(serviceURL, outputService);
    ((javax.xml.rpc.Stub) outputClient)._setProperty(javax.xml.rpc.Stub.
    USERNAME_PROPERTY,DSC_CREDENTIAL_USERNAME);((javax.xml.rpc.Stub) outputClient)._setProperty(javax.xml.rpc.Stub.
    PASSWORD_PROPERTY,DSC_CREDENTIAL_PASSWORD);
    //Reference XML data to merge into the PDF document
    BLOB inData =new BLOB();inData.setBinaryData("Input xml in bytes");
    formName =
    "/AdobePOC/Forms/sample.xdp";
    //Set PDF run-time options
    PDFOutputOptionsSpec pdfOptions =new PDFOutputOptionsSpec();pdfOptions.setFileURI(
    "repository://");
    RenderOptionsSpec renderOptions =
    new RenderOptionsSpec();renderOptions.setCacheEnabled(
    true);
    BLOBHolder generatePDFOutputPDFDoc =
    new BLOBHolder();BLOBHolder generatePDFOutputMetaDataDoc =
    new BLOBHolder();BLOBHolder generatePDFOutputResultDoc =
    new BLOBHolder();OutputResultHolder outResultHolder =
    new OutputResultHolder();
    //Create a PDF Document
    outputClient.generatePDFOutput(TransformationFormat.PDFA, formName,"repository://", pdfOptions, renderOptions,inData, generatePDFOutputPDFDoc,generatePDFOutputMetaDataDoc, generatePDFOutputResultDoc,outResultHolder);
    return generatePDFOutputResultDoc.value;
    I am getting the following error while executing the above code.

  • Modify service endpoint in webservices.xml throws class not found for link

    Hello, we had a problem for serveral days and have not found any solutions googling. We read the documentation and seems ok, so we are a little desesperate.
    We have a WebService project in Oracle Eclipse included in Weblogic 10.3.5 with the following classes:
    - An EJB (org.test.TestWSImpl) with the @WebService annotation:
    @WebService(serviceName = "TestService", portName = "testService", targetNamespace = "testNameSpace",
    endpointInterface = "test.TestWS", wsdlLocation = "/wsdls/test.wsdl")
    - When deploying the ear all runs ok. Now, for serveral business reasons, we need to change the defalut service URI so we added a webservices.xml and weblogic-webservices.xml.
    The webservices.xml:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <webservices xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
         xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="1.2">
         <webservice-description>
              <webservice-description-name>TestService</webservice-description-name>
              <port-component>
                   <port-component-name>testService</port-component-name>
                   <wsdl-port xmlns:tns="testNameSpace">tns:testDataService</wsdl-port>
                   <service-endpoint-interface>test.TestWS</service-endpoint-interface>
                   <service-impl-bean>
                        <ejb-link>TestWSImpl</ejb-link>
                   </service-impl-bean>
              </port-component>
         </webservice-description>
    </webservices>
    In the weblogic-webservices.xml we define the new endpoint:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <weblogic-webservices
    xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-webservices"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-webservices http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-webservices/1.1/weblogic-webservices.xsd">
    <webservice-description>
    <webservice-description-name>IE3SEnvironmentalMasterDataService</webservice-description-name>
    <webservice-type>JAXWS</webservice-type>
    <port-component>
    <port-component-name>e3sEnvironmentalMasterDataService</port-component-name>
    <service-endpoint-address>
    <webservice-contextpath>/E3S</webservice-contextpath>
    <webservice-serviceuri>/e3sEnvironmentalMasterDataService</webservice-serviceuri>
    </service-endpoint-address>
    </port-component>
    </webservice-description>
    We apreciate any help
    Thanks in advance!

    Sorry for the copy; a browser error. Please delete this thread

    We have found a solution removing the eclipse webservice project and adding the EJB inside the EJB project module.
    greetings.

  • Generic connector with webservice and SPML provider

    Hi,
    I have created a Generic connector in Oracle Identity server successfully with Webservice transport porvider and SPML payload provider. But when I am trying to create a user using this connector I am getting following error in OIM server log:
    AJPRequestHandler-RMICallHandler-20 XELLERATE.WEBAPP - Setting the response code as GCPROV.ProvTransportProvider.WebServices.Caught exception while handling request: malformed array t
    Can anyone please help me regarding this? I am even not able to identify where it is getting failed.
    Thanks in advance

    This is what I've found in the docs:
    "Each SPML request is sent in a SOAP message. The SOAP header carries authentication information for the request. The actual SPML request data is the SOAP message body. "
    All I'm trying to do is create a SOAP web service (in this case with Java 6, but that's not fundamental) that can intercept that message and grab the SPML request (and then do what I have to do).
    I tried with something like the following code:
    package wsspml;
    import javax.jws.WebService;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.util.logging.*;
    @WebService
    public class SPMLServer {
         public String processRequest(String requestData) {
    but it won't work. It's like the exposed SOAP method "processRequest" is invisible. It's not being called. Perhaps the signature is wrong. I don't know what to make of it. I'm trying to understand how to grab that SPML request that's coming from OIM through the custom generic technology connector that I configured.

    I don't know if you fixed it already by this time or not. But here is my findings anyway, to be able to inject the security header correctly in any SOA Gateway service, you need to have your Mobile Application Secured, meaning that there is a prompt for username/password when you open it.
    Then you will have to make a Proxy service for the webservice you are using from apps. And you must create it with a SOAP Handler also and write below sample code in the handler to inject the security header in the SOAP call. At last, you are going to deploy this proxy service to your Application Server.
    These steps were taken on a Glassfish server not Weblogic. I think there is an easy way for this if you are using Weblogic..
    Sample handler is below:
    package com.mobile.xxsoap;
    import java.util.HashSet;
    import java.util.Set;
    import javax.xml.namespace.QName;
    import javax.xml.soap.Name;
    import javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement;
    import javax.xml.soap.SOAPEnvelope;
    import javax.xml.soap.SOAPFactory;
    import javax.xml.soap.SOAPHeader;
    import javax.xml.ws.handler.MessageContext;
    import javax.xml.ws.handler.soap.SOAPHandler;
    import javax.xml.ws.handler.soap.SOAPMessageContext;
    public class CustomSOAPHandler implements SOAPHandler<SOAPMessageContext> {
        private static final String AUTH_PREFIX = "wsse";
        private static final String AUTH_NS =
            "http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd";
        public boolean handleMessage(SOAPMessageContext context) {
            try {
                SOAPEnvelope envelope = context.getMessage().getSOAPPart().getEnvelope();
                SOAPFactory soapFactory = SOAPFactory.newInstance();
                SOAPElement wsSecHeaderElm = soapFactory.createElement("Security", AUTH_PREFIX, AUTH_NS);
                SOAPElement userNameTokenElm = soapFactory.createElement("UsernameToken", AUTH_PREFIX, AUTH_NS);
                SOAPElement userNameElm = soapFactory.createElement("Username", AUTH_PREFIX, AUTH_NS);
                userNameElm.addTextNode("redsam");
                SOAPElement passwdElm = soapFactory.createElement("Password", AUTH_PREFIX, AUTH_NS);
                Name passwdTypeAttr = soapFactory.createName("Type");
                passwdElm.addAttribute(passwdTypeAttr,
                                       "http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#PasswordText");
                passwdElm.addTextNode("123456");
                userNameTokenElm.addChildElement(userNameElm);
                userNameTokenElm.addChildElement(passwdElm);
                wsSecHeaderElm.addChildElement(userNameTokenElm);
            } catch (Throwable e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            return true;
        public Set<QName> getHeaders() {
            return new HashSet<QName>();
        public boolean handleFault(SOAPMessageContext messageContext) {
            return true;
        public void close(MessageContext context) {
    I hope it is clear now...
