OWA More Option redirects to my OWA page
I have a strange situation,
When i log into the OWA page "https://exchangeserver.domain/owa" I get a login page (using incognito mode) I enter as [email protected] and it successfully logs me into the administrators OWA but then when I click the more Options selection
the page redirects to my OWA inbox from the administrator. I have tried removing all the network credentials in credential manager, but it still does the same, then removed all cookies and temp files from IE (deleted files) removed all browser history in chrome,
and saved passwords also reset Chrome. Somehow it's getting my username and password to authenticate to the ECP page.
I think it might be from editing the host file in C:\windows]System32\Drivers\Etc "hosts" because for a while it would ask for credentials again when clicking "more options" after log in from the administrator OWA. Now it just redirects
straight into my OWA. Could it be from the host file?
I have removed all the entries from the host file. And it's back to how it was before editing.
I can only think that the IIS authentication settings for the ECP virtual directory are different to those for the OWA virtual directory. They should be the same. I'd suggest recreating the ECP vdir using powershell.
I can't think of anything in the hosts file that would affect it, since the server names used for OWA and ECP are supposed to be the same. But you never know...

301 redirects and iWeb index page
Our site has grown and we will be changing our domain name and hosting co. (We are keeping the old domain active for a while at MME before we change domain name and hosting) I will need to redirect traffic for a while so as not to lose those who have just bookmarked us. Will just redirecting on the index page that iWeb creates (post publish) do that without creating a mess of our page rankings at Google? Currently we are in the top 15 responses for our search terms. Or should i create some other type of redirect? 301? (via cname or htaccess) will that ding me at google? Thanks- try to keep it as simple as possible - I don't code - I experiment and Apple has made it easy.
jyWhat I would do is purchase the hosting and see if you can have more than one add-on domain. Most web hosts let you do this on one account so it doesn't cost you any more money. You are doing this because you will need a .htaccess file to set up your 301 redirects properly. This is what you should do;
1) Register your new domain and publish your site to it.
2) Create a webmaster tools account for BOTH your old and new domain name.
3) Create a 301 redirect for each individual page to the new corresponding page on your new domain. This can be done with a few lines in your .htaccess file. The file should be in your root folder of your OLD domain. Put this on your .htaccess file (NOTE: This assumes you will have the exact same website structure on the new domain);

OPTIONAL: Use Google's canonical tag on each one of your pages to avoid any issues with duplicate content. Link the old page to it's new corresponding page. This is optional but recommended if you can;

4) Login to your Webmaster Tools account and select your OLD domain. Then select 'Site Configuration' and then 'change of address'. Follow the steps provided (which are basically what I told you above). Step 4 in there is the important one.
5) Submit a sitemap for your new website. This will make sure you know when Google has indexed your new website.
6) Important: Even though you have done everything properly there is a chance your rankings will change. To help prevent this, update as many third party links as you can to your new site. This won't be possible for all links since you won't have control over them but you should try contacting the website owners who have linked to you to update their links. You should also try getting new links to your new domain.
You can find all the sites you have linked to you by logging into your webmaster tools account and clicking your OLD domain. Then go to 'Your site on the web' and then to 'Links to your site'.
Nothing will be instant here, it will take a few days for everything to update but the above is the way Google recommends you do it.

The home page opens unfinished, keep being redirected to unwanted add pages.
When Firefox opens my home page ( Fox News ) the page doesn't finish. Some of the page is still in what I would call (code) and there are large blank spaces between articles.
When the home page is opening it often gets redirected to unwanted pages. If I right click on the green back arrow the word redirect is one of the lines there.
I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it. No change.
I opened Fox News in Google Chrome and it loaded OK.I'm not sure why you are being redirected but here are some thoughts:
(1) In case your preference for .us is stored in a cookie -- rather than an account setting -- try clearing cookies for the site (this likely will terminate your session, so save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* click the globe or padlock in the address bar > More Information > Security > "View Cookies"
* right-click the page > View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Any change when navigating from the home page?
(2) If you granted the site permission to access your location, turn that off. You can access site-specific permissions while viewing a page on the site using the Page Info dialog. Either:
* click the globe or padlock in the address bar > More Information > Permissions
* right-click the page > View Page Info > Permissions
* Tools menu > Page Info > Permissions

How can i redirect to another JSP page automatically after some event
I am developing a Tic-Tac-Toe game which can be played between two players who are on two different machines.
When the first player comes to the Welcome page he will redirected to a Waiting Page when he clicks on the 'Start' button.
When the second player comes to the Welcome page he will be redirected directly to the Game page, on clicking the 'Start' button.
So how can i redirect the first player to the Game page after the second player is available for the game.
And if i want to manage multiple instances of my game how can i do that//
I am using JSP, javascript and MySQL for developing my project, and I am new to all these tools, but i would still like to carry on with all these onlyThis is a bit of a challenge because of the nature of the web. Generally the web is "pull only" meaning that the browser has to initiate any interactions - the server can't push data to the browser if it wasn't asked to.
The easiest way to solve this is using AJAX via JavaScript to periodically poll the server for any status changes. There are other ways (the Comet protocol is one) but they start to get a bit difficult and are still a bit new and not completely supported in a standards way. And to be honest they are still basically polling though in a more efficient way.
Are you using a JavaScript framework? Most of the JavaScript frameworks that I've used have built in support for polling in the background. You'd have to have the JSP/servlet side be able to handle these polling requests from the browser and, when another person joins the game, the server indicates that and sends that back to the browser.
As far as multiple instances I would have the server automatically pair up users as needed. So when the first player arrives he has to wait for another player. When the second player arrives a new game is created for those two players. Now a third player arrives and waits until a fourth player shows up. When player 4 joins another separate game is created. Presumably the conversation between the browser and the server will need to include a "game number" or other unique number so that the server can keep track of the games. -
Printing more than one picture on a page?
I love the iPhoto '08 so far, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to print more than one photo per page. Here's what I'd like to do:
I've chosen four photos and resized each to be printed optimally at 4"x5", let's say. Can I take those photos and lay them out on an 8.5"x11" page within iPhoto? When I've done this is the past, I've resorted to using "Pages". But there must be a way to do this using only iPhoto, no?
So, I want four photo squares arranged in a grid, printed on a single piece of photo paper.

Select the four photos (no need to resize first) in iPhoto and click Print at the bottom of the iPhoto library window -- in the lower right of the print dialogue window select the paper size (letter for your question) and below that the print size (custom and set to 4.0 x 5.0 for your questions) and you will see a four up preview in the preview window. There are a number of neat other options to choose on this page too including borders, the printer you want to use, etc.
Then click Print in the lower right hand corner and select any printer specific options you want on the next dialog page - then click print and you will have your four photos on one page.

Redirect to two separate pages in the same cfform
I'm a bit of a novice at this.Hoping someone can guide me on how to accomplish this. I have a simple selection list (below). If they user chooses the selection in red I want it to redirect them to a page other than the one in the cfform tag, but I can't figure out how to segregate the options within the cfform from the same list. On a form w Validation, how to redirect to a custom page
Hi. I have created a form in Dreamweaver CS5 that uses spry validation successfully. Once the form is submitted, the user is redirected to the home page. But I don't want that redirect.
My question is, how can I have the validated page redirect to a custom thank you page I designed? I don't know the exact code/syntax to write to make it do what I want and, even if I had the code, I wouldn't know exactly where it should be placed. Please help if you can. </html>Thanks for replying. The URL you've bolded is actually the correct page I'd like the redirect to go to when the form is successfully submitted after validation. But for some reason, that URL request is being ignored and the redirect brings me back to the index page in the root directory. I don't see anywhere in the code that makes the request to do that. Unless that's a default behavior if I've gotten the redirect wrong?
I don't know if this is helpful, but there is also a .js file that Dreamweaver created and attached to the above HTML source file. The .js file appears to have all the spry code validation including code for features and widgets I'm not even using. I searched through the code several times trying to identify where there might be a redirect to the index page but didn't recognize anything that made sense to me. Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page
Everytime I logon to firefox, I get this message:- "warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page".
I then go to "Tools/options/Advanced/General/Accessibility" and uncheck the box, why can't I uncheck once and not have to do it again?
It is annoying to have to repeat the uncheck option everytime.There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes.
If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software. -
Do I need to insert meta tags on domain if it redirects to web.mac page?

I've set up a domain (http://www.blossomsolutions.ca) with Internic.ca in Canada and filled out a very easy form to redirect to http://web.mac.com/blossomsolutions. Through this excellent forum I learned how to insert meta tags into all my pages on the web.mac site using text edit successfully.
Now, I'm wondering, will search engines find me if I have "no code" or meta tags at www.blossomsolutions.ca? Internic is only "redirecting" my URL not hosting it. It costs more money if they "host" my domain and I wouldn't have a clue how to set up an index.html page anyway for this domain. Even if I got someone to do this can you redirect an index.html page from blossomsolutions.ca to a web.mac.com page? i.e. does the domain code need to be empty in order for it to redirect?

Welcome to the forum. You're site looks very clean and elegant.
The domain name you purchased (http://www.blossomsolutions.ca/) is serving as a redirecting page to your iWeb generated web page. The answer to whether or not search engines will find you is both yes and no. Search engines use programs called "spiders" that find pages through links and trace out web pages.
Given some time, sites like Google and MSN will likely find you website (and if you put meta tags in it will display that info in the search engine). But if you are like most iWeb users (myself included) you are impatient for your site to be picked up in search engines. Looks like you may have already submitted your .mac page.
Another handy tip for looking up what information a search engine posses on your site is to type "site:" followed by the web address you wish to look up into a search engine. If the search engine has any of the pages to your site it will display them with the meta data they posses. I checked your .ca address and google didn't come up with anything.
Internic.ca should provide you with the means to apply a little bit of a description to your web address. Apart from that, you can't really add any meta data to the domain name.
Unfortunately even when you get both web addresses picked up by search engines it won't associate them together. They may come up near each other in searches. But the search engine will see them as entirely different sites.
You could host your site at the domain name if you chose to. The process of publishing is one click like to .mac. But you "Publish to a Folder" and then upload the complete page to the domain name. Its more difficult and cost more (if you chose to retain your .mac account) but it would give you better search engine rankings for your name.

It isn't really worth it have them host your domain name only to put an index.html that redirects to your .mac. Thats basically what the domain forwarding is doing (minus a little bit of info).
My advice is to keep things how you have them. But, just make sure you get the domain submitted to search engines.

Thanks for your answer. Let me ellaborate more on the requirement here.
- Password Policy and Lost Password management are set up in the identity system
- Configure login tries allowed= 5. Verify accout is lock out after 5 unsucessful login.
This is what need to achieve.
1) If a user attempts to login 3(not 5) times using an incorrect login credential he/she should be redirected to set challenge question (security question) page.
2) Then if the user attempts (remaining) 2 times incorrect challenge answer then his/her account should be locked out.
3) If he/she answers the challenge answer correctly then he/she should be redirected to password reset page.
Is this possible? -
Refresh page before branch/redirect to report download page

I have to download a report.
For this I had made a Report region with template set to export:CSV.
I am branching to this page from another page say page4
When I redirect/branch to this page browser remains at page4, and prompts for download file occurs.
But my problem is that I have to display a message/some text in page4 before this prompt occurs.

From the Apex docs:
Selecting export: XML prevents the Application Express engine from rendering the page and dumps the content to an XML file.
I assume the same applies to export: CSV. So this is the expected behavior.
I see these options:
- Display the message in the same page (page4 in your example) using apex_application.g_print_success_message or some other method.
- Create an intermediate page that will contain only the message and code similar to the code below in the onload event. This code will call the report page:

When you received more then one email from the same user when you open the last email received if you want to see to see the whole conversation/email there is an option as I wrote in my previous thread "see more from..." if you click on it usually apear the content of the email but in my case I got an blank page and I cannot display any email. If then I way to see correctly the other email lI have to close "MAIL" and reopen it.

Thank you, you made me go look again and I realised the ones I use on the iPad are under Borders not style and they are on Mac also. I feel a bit silly but I wouldn't have got there without your prompting. Do you mean by "create your own" using the borders and then saving as a style or can you create something that is not in either?
