OWB 9.0.4 - LOCATION ERRORS

Hi, I am new to OWB and am having some Location problems.
I have created source module and a target module. I created a mapping with a source oracle table mapping to a new oracle table. I have also created a Runtime Repository Connection and a location, and a connector. When I created a connector for my location, it did not allow me to choose anything other than "unspecified." The other options were grayed out. If I try to validate the location, I get VLD-3050 - "The referenced location is not set". If I try to register the location, I get OWB error ORA-06550 - PLS - 00201 - Identified WB_RT_STORE_REGISTRATION must be declared. If I try to generate the mapping, I get the warnings VLD-1002 -"Mapping object Source Table not bound to Repository Object", and "Mapping Object Source Table Not Bound to Repository Object." I also get warning VLD-1123 -"Missing location info. for module TARGET". If I try to deploy the mapping, I get OWB error -"There is no location associated with the current module."
Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?
Thanks for your help.
Donna

Donna,
You problem started when you got to the point of creating connector and couldn't choose anything other than "unspecified". This is probably because there was no other location to connect a current one to. The rest of the errors cascaded from this one. So let's do this step-by-step from the beginning, assuming you have no locations or connectors yet.
1. Create locations for both source and target, for example SRC_LOC and TGT_LOC. If you create them at the time of creating modules, location is assigned to a module already. If you create location after the fact than go to module properties, location tab and select location from drop-down list.
2. Right click on TGT_LOC, choose Create Connector, name it like TGT_LOC_SRC_LOC, in the next page you should be able to pick SRC_LOC from Database list of locations.
3. When you deploy, SRC_LOC and TGT_LOC get registered, i.e. you are asked for physical information for each. Connector gets deployed as db link.

  • Can't add users' home folders to Windows Libraries - "unindexed network location" error

    I am unable to add our users' home folders to their Windows Libraries on client PCs.  Windows is giving an unindexed network location error.
    This worked perfectly fine in WHS 2011, but is failing on WSE 2012 R2 Essentials.
    I've checked the indexing settings on the server, and the correct locations are in fact being indexed.
    Since several of our clients have limited local storage, I can't solve this by turning on Offline Files.
    Is this behavior by design, or am I seeing a bug?
    I'm guessing that on WHS 2011 the user folders are special-cased somehow, as normally one would need to include the share root in a library for federated indexing to work correctly.  What is it about WHS 2011 that makes this work, and is it possible
    to replicate these settings on our WSE 2012 R2 server?
    Thank you.

    No, our clients are not domain joined.
    To clarify, I'm not trying to redirect local folders, but rather to add the (automatically provisioned) user folder on the server to local libraries.  Federated search does support this scenario in WHS, so I assume it should work in WSE.
    Trying to understand why I'm seeing the error.  Thanks.

  • BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error in SOA 11g Suite

    Hi,
    I am just testing one simple SOA Application in SOA 11g Suite. Created a SOA Composite Application with one DB Adapter at designtime all worked fine with DB Adapter. But when I deploy the Application on the server I get the following error:
    The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue: BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error. Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/> The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/soademoDatabase'. The reason for this is most likely that either 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/soademoDatabase. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR). Please correct this and then restart the Application Server ".Do I need to jndi-name in weblogic-ra.xml if so what is the exact location. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    I did but still not able to connect now getting the following error. I went to the Weblogic Console, clicked on deployments, selected DBAdapter, clicked on configuration ,
    and then I don't see outbound configurations instead it shows Outbound Connection Pools, Under Outbound Connection Pools tab I clicked on New and it asked to select Outbound Connection Group I selected the one that was already there (with JNDI eis/DB/SOADemo) and then created my JNDI which was added to the default Outbound Connection Group and in the end it asked to save the Plan.xml which I saved it under a new directory created under soa directory. But still am not able to connect.
    How do I create my own Connection Group as don't want to use the defualt one out there.
    After creating the JNDI Name it asks for saving the Plan.xml file. Where exactly we save this file. Are there any standards.
    Why can't I update any properties when I click on the new JNDI name it takes to Settings for javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory --> Outbound Connection Properties but there I see a save buttn but I can't make any changes.
    BINDING.JCA-12563 Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'getCreditValidationSelect' failed due to: Could not create/access the TopLink Session. You may have set a property (in _db.jca) which requires another property to be set also. Make sure the property is set in the interaction (activation) spec by editing its definition in _db.jca. . ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. Is there any documentation that lists all these steps as I couldn't find it anywhere. The guide only talks abou DBAdapter but how to configure etc can't find any info. Any help is appreciated.

  • "Not enough memory in target location" error in de...

    When I try to download and "save to device" any files from any website of any size, I am receiving the "Not enough memory in target location" error. It's very frustrating . To reproduce I only need to do a "long tap" on the google image on the default google page and select "save image as" and select any location (eg. documents, root (MyDocs), create new folder) and I get the error. Once the error is displayed, most of the time I can't get rid of it and need to do an "End current task" to close the browser.
    I have checked the output of a "df -h" and there is PLENTY of space on all volumes, including rootfs (95.1M Free) and /dev/mmcblk0p1 (25.9G Free!).
    I've tried flushing the '/home/user/.mozilla/microb' directory and deleting the '/home/user/.browser' file also.
    I can transfer files from my PC connected in Mass Storage mode with no problem, I can also create directories and files from X-Term also with no problem.
    The only information I can find on this error is related to rootfs being out of space when trying to install an app or update...but this is not my problem.
    I have a feeling it could be a permissions issue, anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi cpitchford. I have a similar problem. I can't save a bookmarks in the MicroB explorer. The system says "Not enough memory". I read your post and send you the screenshot for the xterm. Thank you for your time. Let me know if you need more informartion about the issue

  • How to correct or report location errors introduced with iOS 4 vs. iOS 3.x?

    When I use location services (via any application) on my iPod touch (1st gen - iOS 3.1), including Find-my-iPhone, my touch's location is precisely located. I have even reported both my wireless routers to Skyhook to assure this accuracy at home.
    My iPad, however (via any application, including Find-my-iPhone), has a location error of about 250 yards to the south south east. All of my neighbors with new WiFi-only iPods and iPads think location services is crappy, because it doesn't locate them in their home. Those with 3G support don't generally have the problem.
    I've tried to find out where I can report the precise coordinates of my personal hardware (as I did for Skyhook) so Wi-Fi location is improved AND notify the proper organization that an entire swath of East Texas has been scanned with a large location bias, turning data into garbage. Anybody know who to talk to?

    Basically, Apple need to inform people how to correct their router info that is contained in their faulty "Locations Service Database" - now, in theory, Apple could collect this information from a user by means of a simple web based form on their support site that asked for the MAC address of the router and either latitude/longitude info or even the users' post code (Zip code). However, in practice this might be harder to do owing to security concerns...
    I have had problems with the WiFi provided location service on BOTH my iPad and iMac for at least 2 weeks now. It shows me as being in central London when I am in fact in Central Scotland - very annoying!
    What is just as annoying is that there is no info from Apple to even acknowledge that this problem exists...
    I have raised this issue with Apple Support via their iPad feedback page - but no response yet.

  • OCSP Location Error - Single Tier PKI Hierarchy Deployment

    I am building a Single Tier PKI Hierarchy Deployment following the Step by Step Guide - Single Tier PKI Hierarchy Deployment guide. Everything is showing up "OK" except OCSP Location.<o:p></o:p>
    I tried adding AIA location as:<o:p></o:p>
    HTTP://<SERVER_NAME>/ocsp<o:p></o:p>
    HTTP://<FQDN>/ocsp<o:p></o:p>
    HTTP://PKI/ocsp
    HTTP:// pki. domain/ ocsp
    All combinations still show error. The root CA is greet, there is an error on Enterprise PKI.
    On the OCSP Server Provider settings I have HTTP:// pki. domain/ ocsp and LDAP.
    CA Server has the CA Role, Web server has ADCS Online Responder and Web Enrollment. 2008 R2 domain, all servers are 2008R2 Enterprise, patched.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have search quite a but and have not found anything that worked.

    Hi,
    I suggest you check OCSP Responder Management console to see if it reports OK status.
    If not, you may try to revoke the current CA exchange certificate used by the OCSP responder, delete the existing OCSP connection and re-configure it.

  • OWB 9.2 locaiton registration error

    I'm new to OWB. Here is what I'm trying to do:
    1. Set up runtime platform, create design reporsitory andcreate a project.
    2. Create module with location Loc1 defined.
    3. Create Runtime Repository Connection Rtrc1
    4. Start deployment manager to register Loc1. Runtime Repository Connection Rtrc1 runs fine and deployment manager is up.
    5. Choose location Loc1 node from Nav tree and hit file->register. The Location Registration form poped up. Fill in connection info for Loc1 (which is a created schema on oracle database version 9.2.0.3.0). After hitting 'OK' button I got the following error message:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-06550: line 1, column 13:
    PLS-00201: identifier 'WB_RT_STORE_REGISTRATION' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    Please advice if you see me missng anything. Also would the version of target database be a problem? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Apart from the runtime repository, you also must also create the runtime schema (also from the runtime assistant) where the actual data will be held (your data warehouse/mart). Then, when you register the target location, this has to point to the runtime schema, not the runtime repositoey. I think this is your problem.

  • Writing transformations for OWB/OWF to implement bespoke error handling

    I have implemented mappings which perform lookup on a translation table and if the lookup is not found a suitable value is output to a column, e.g. 'ERROR' is written to the output column on an intermediate table e.g. xxx_temp. The intermediate table is then split into two streams and output to two tables, those with errors to xxx_errors and those that are valid to xxx_out. What I want to know is how to write a transformation which will count the number of errors in xxx_errors and if 0 will return 'success' and if > 0 will return 'error' - because OWB Process Flows can only seem to handle three state events. Will this example function work or are there other parameters that I must include in the function before Oracle Workflow can process it correctly.
    FUNCTION etl_md_errors
    RETURN NUMBER IS
    lv_status NUMBER(22) := 0;
    lv_count NUMBER(5) := 0;
    ** Cursor to count the number of errors in the mappings run
    ** for the Operating Unit Master Data.
    CURSOR lcur_count_errors IS
    SELECT c1.err_cnt + c2.err_cnt
    FROM (
    SELECT Count(Rowid) err_cnt
    FROM t_mdo_ce_errors
    ) c1,
    SELECT Count(Rowid) err_cnt
    FROM t_mdo_cstobj_errors
    ) c2,
    SELECT Count(Rowid) err_cnt
    FROM t_mdo_vntr_errors
    ) c3;
    BEGIN
    OPEN lcur_count_errors;
    FETCH lcur_count_errors
    INTO lv_count;
    CLOSE lcur_count_errors;
    IF lv_count <= 0 THEN
    lv_status := 1;
    ELSE
    lv_status := 3;
    END IF;
    RETURN lv_status;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    RETURN 3;
    END etl_md_errors;
    I cannot test the Process Flow deployment as Oracle Workflow 2.6.0 has been installed on an Oracle 8i schema but the Location registration version pulldown only has one entry 2.6.2
    Cheers,
    Phil Thomson

    Hi,
    You seem to have missed the point of the posting.
    I am asking how to write a transformation which can be used in Process Flow to determine whether any lookup validation errors have occurred, e.g. to determine which e-mail to send to the system administrator's email account. I was not asking if the method of processing/validating the transactions needed revamping .. it is what the client asked for and it's what they have tested and approved. I'll give an explanation of the background to the processing.
    a) we are reading in transactions from Country Data Warehouses (SAP BW) which are placed as tables in country data source schemas.
    b) we want to consolidate the transactions so that they can be loaded into a European wide Data Warehouse (SAP BW) and these are placed as tables in the target country schemas ... which are consolidated in a global schema using views and dblinks.
    c) as the Country Data Warehouses are using their own set of reference/look up values the transactions have the country data warehouse reference codes translated to equivalent european reference codes. Therefore in each country target schema we have sets of mapping/xref table(s) which translates one country column value to the equivalent european column value, e.g. area_ctry and area_eur. Area_ctry is the area reference code in the Country Data Warehouse and area_eur is the area reference code to be used in the European Data Warehouse.
    d) when a transaction record has a reference value that does not have an equivalent european reference value we want to flag that column and record as an error, as their are several column values to be translated you do not want to only flag up the 1st validation error encountered, you want to validate the entire record and you also want to validate the entire set of transaction records. Users get a bit miffed if you fail the entire batch of transactions on the first column validation or first invalid record, they correct it then find there are other records with errors ... user has to repeat until no errror records.
    e) that is the reason we use the Key Lookup operator on the mapping/xref table with the transaction column's country value in the input group and as the value for the Lookup Condition, on the Key Lookup operator's output group we set the default value for the looked up column to 'ERROR' so if no lookup is found 'ERROR' will be output as the looked up value.
    f) the Split operator is then used to identify error records e.g. area_eur = 'ERROR' OR region_eur = 'ERROR' etc, and to identify valid records e.g. area_eur != 'ERROR' AND region_eur != 'ERROR' etc. The error records are output their own table and the valid records are output to their own table.
    g) if their are true SQL errors e.g. tablespace exceeded, referenced procedure/function state changed then these will be handled by OWB and should be viewed vaie the OWB audit browser.
    As stated in my post what is the template of PL/SQL functions that can be used as Transformations in Process Flows with their 'SUCCESS', 'WARNING' and 'ERROR' transition condition.
    Hope the above explanation helps,
    Cheers,
    Phil Thomson

  • Location error in finding a lost iPad

    I've just bought an iPad2, got it al set up and subscribed to the MobilMe search feature as the initial test. the location it came up with was nearly a mile off. Whose error is this and can it be corrected?

    Have you got the 3G + wifi version or the wifi only version ? The wifi version relies upon the router that it's connected to correctly identifying/reporting its location.

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Invalid Configuration Location error on startup

    I have just installed Flash Builder 4.5 on my Windows 7 Enterprise edition. I installed this using my username (not Administrator), which has local administrative rights. When I start the program, I'm getting the error
    Invalid Configuration Location
    The configuration area at 'C:\Users\Administrator\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\cascaded\308971\configuration' could not be created.  Please choose a writable location using the '-configuration' command line option.
    OK
    Any reason for this error and what's the workaround?

    Hey there!
    Found a woraround to your problem...
    Go to your Flash Bulder install directory and then navigate to the eclipse folder (something like <FB_install_dir>\eclipse\...)
    There you will find a config file with the following lines (at the end of the file):
    [email protected]/Documents/Adobe Flash Builder 4.5/cascaded/<build_number>/configuration
    osgi.shared.configuration.area=file\:configuration
    osgi.configuration.cascaded=true
    What you do is simply remove them. Afterwords when you start the Flash Builder again you will be prompted to enter a new directory to your workspace and everything will run smothly after that.
    Cheers!

    scanzano,
    I was wondering if you ever received and answer to this question, becuase I am faced with the same problem when I attempt a signon to the 'admin server' I receive the following message:
    type Status report
    message Invalid direct reference to form login page
    description The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect (Invalid direct reference to form login page).
    This is displayed as an "HTTP Status 400 - Invalid direct reference to form login page!!??" It appears that this message has been around for a while so I'm wondering if this issue will ever get resolved??
