Why are you ignoring customer complaints about the Podcasts app?

This app is horrible. All the iTunes reviews list the same problems. Either episodes won't download, they won't play, or they won't sync. I know it's a free app, but we all paid for our iPhones or iPads. I've seen no answers and no helpful updates. Why haven't you done anything to fix it? I'll probably be getting a new phone soon, and I'm seriously considering switching to Droid or Samsung. This just isn't the kind of service I used to see from Apple.

What I don't get is... if they don't "fix" the Podcasts app, then they must be happy with it the way it is, and think that it works correctly.  But the number of posts to the contrary goes up every day.  So why don't they put out some instructions for people, so that everyone can stop being so frustrated with it?  If it "works" the way it is, then tell people how to control the syncing with iTunes and delete podcasts and avoid the Cloud and whatever else.
But I'd much rather they just fix it.

    Whenever I leave the Podcasts app to answer an email, text, open Safari, etc., the podcast stops playing.  This effectively stops me from using any other application on my phone, unless I want to also stop listening to the podcast.  It won't continue playing in the background like the Music app did.  Of course, this is an IOS 6 issue.

    I had the same problem the first night and my head almost exploded as playing podcasts is what my iphone is doing 95% of the time. I was also experiencing a lack of control not being able to jump back or ahead which was maddening. However, the next morning, after syncing the phone with my iTunes (on a MacBook Pro) all of this functionality was there, including the ability to have the podcasts continue when exiting the app and the ability to control them with an inline remote on my earbuds.
    Hopefully, this problem has already resolved itself for you. Unfortunately, it is my understanding that there still is no option for playlists at this time.

    I just tried to look at Netflixs. At first your site told me to download flashdrive which I have the latest version. I went back in to bring up netflix again and now your site is telling me to download microsoft silverlight. I have that to and the same version you are telling me to down load.     Check the age of the files you wish to open.
    Keynote 6 (the latest you downloaded) will opne Keynote 5 (KN09) files but nothing earlier. For that KN5 will act as an intermediate format (you save KN4 and earlier as KN5), then KN6 can open the resultanr files.
    Make sure you have a backup of your original files, in case KN6 cannot replicate some of your earlier builds and transitions.

  • Why did you ignore my post about Flash Player failing to register its ActiveX Control?

    Three days ago I submitted a precisely-worded description of a persistent installation problem:  Every time I attempt to download and install Flash Player V. 16 on my laptop running Windows Vista 64 bit and IE 9, the download completes successfully, but at the end of installation, a dialog box gives this message
    "ActiveX Control failed to register."
    I presume that your installation software was unable to write something into the Windows Registry.  Other software has no trouble writing to my Windows Registry.  My anti-virus software is not blocking the Registry.
    I expressly asked for an Adobe staff member to guide me on how to debug this failed installation.
    All I got was zilch.  Your forum software assured me that my request was posted, but I have not seen it on the list of recent posts.  You made it disappear and did not respond to it.  Your company does not provide any other avenue for a distraught user to obtain technical support.  Your dismissive attitude toward your customers and user community is even more distressing than your bloated, malfunctioning software products.
    Without Flash Player installed, my computer has been dead in the water for ten days.  I can't do my work.  If I am forced to write my own Flash emulator just to get my work done, then I won't need Adobe anymore.

    You're previous post wasn't ignored.  Assisting users on forums is not staffs primary responsibility and we try to assist users as our time allows, in between our responsibilities.  Creating multiple posts for the same issue also doesn't help as it simply forks the problem and results in responses to both, causing confusion.
    Failure to register errors are normally caused by registry permissions issues,  not user permissions issues.  Please review the Flash Player | Windows registry permissions tech note as it addresses this issue.

    There are tons of complaints about the WiFi interface on the iPhone, with errors and problems similar to what you're seeing on the iPad.

    As a retired network device driver writer, I realize that the same device driver is probably running on both platforms. So more than likely, you'll see the same bugs on both platforms. Unless we're dealing with a hardware issue.
    I would guess that the iPhone/iPad losing it's WiFi password issue is a software bug.

    D.p.middleton the Adobe Application Manager has been available for quite some time.  It not only allows Creative Cloud users to install their applications but also downloads and applies applicable updates.  In addition it is also responsible for the licensing and managing your agreement to the terms and conditions of the EULA.
    2. this could be due to you selecting a trial subscription to the Creative Cloud?  If you go to one of the Adobe Creative products and select Help>Updates it will launch the update portion of the Adobe Application Manager which I believe is the portion you are looking for?
    #3 I believe this was already mostly covered in the answer to #2.
    #4 the Adobe Application Manager also receives periodic updates which affects both perpetual and Creative Cloud subscription users.
    I hope this provides you many of the answers you are looking for?  If not please feel free to respond back with any additional inquiries which you have.  Also if you are experiencing any difficulties with the update process please post this as well.  It may not be necessary to have a full understanding of the inner workings of the Adobe Application Manager to help you resolve your difficulties.

  • Why won't Lenovo refund my money? Why are they ignoring me?

    I ordered recovery media on the 30th of July and I never received them. I am pretty sure they wrote the address wrong. They took long amounts of time to reply to my messages about not recieving the media and I ended up installing Windows 7 myself and then all the necessary software and drivers. I made it clear to them in 2 messages that they were far too late and that I didn't want the recovery media anymore and I wanted a refund instead, but they ignored both messages completely and sent me a message saying that they were going to ship it free of charge. I don't want it. I made this very clear.
    Also, I can't believe the nerve of them saying 'free'. No, I paid €37, and I didn't get what I want and will not get what I want, because I paid for it to be shipped in 3-5 days like the website says, not nearly a month later. Getting it nearly a month later is a completely different service that I never paid for. I have therefore not gotten and cannot get what I paid for so I want a refund. Why are they ignoring my messages? I sent yet another message yesterday and got no reply. That is 3 messages they have ignored now.

    The download is huge, 1.6GB, so it will take a while to download and if it fails, clear your browser’s cache and try again, or try a different browser.
    There is nothing on the page that will prevent you from downloading it multiple times.  If you are getting an error it is likely your internet connection or some internet security software or something else blocking.  Did you watch the download and did it completely successfully or did it just stop?

    There are phone numbers for Adobe but usually it is an exercise in frustration talking to someone in India who has a script they will lead you through, not unlike what it says on the help page, just slower.
    If you want to attach a screenshot you need to use the web version of the forums and copy/paste into the message, or use the camera icon at the top left.

How is this problem going to be rectified? I'm tired of talking to phone reps that have no information because they can't see store systems, and I'm tired of retail stores that hide the screen and blurt off "it's in the warehouse system, but that's all the information we have right now." **bleep**!? You guys got my money over a month ago. Apple has been back to 2-3 week delivery estimate for at least a week now. I would love an answer. Maybe this board will be more successful than actually talking to you guys in person or over the phone. I would love a response, even if it's through private message or email. I've tried your other routes.

    On yesterday, I was extremely fed up with waiting as I just hit 4 weeks (ordered March 22nd), I told my CSR (in an email) to cancel my stinking order, demanded my money back, called the 800 number three or four times to gripe and complain and I FINALLY GOT SOMEBODY ON THE PHONE that cared enough to actually do something about it!  I'm sure all you have experienced the same thing where the rep on the 800 number is just briefly glancing at the order and then giving the company line.
    I pressed yesterday and told the rep I needed someone that would escalate this and give me answers because there was certainly a Black 32 GB/3G with my name on it and that someone just had to push the right d**m button to match it up with me. Well she placed me on hold for 5 or 6 minutes maybe even longer but it was worth the wait.  She told me that she did not have access to see anything with my order but that she got a floor supervisor because she too was concerned that my wait had been too long (going on 5 weeks on this Tuesday).  The Supervisor did have the magic access and was able to determine that my shipping date is Monday, April 25th and that I'll have it on two days Fedex delivery (April 27th)!!  I felt relieved to hear this and so was the CSR and she told me how excited she was to be able to provide me relevant information!  On Monday, I should finally have a tracking number and hopefully my package will arrive as promised.
    I will gladly return to this forum on Monday evening with an update but I must stress to each of you who were like me languishing on 4 to 5 weeks to make the same call to 877-807-4372 (regional Telesales) number.  Give them your location code and they can tell you which region you ordered from if you ordered by phone.  I live in Texas and my call was handled by the South region for Telesales and their number is 800-256-4646.  Please don't waste your time calling the general Customer Service number (800-922-0204)....you need Telesales and you specifically need your regional team that you ordered from.  Press the CSR to check with a supervisor to gain detail shipping information because it is their beyond the grasp of the CSR!!!

Even though I had lost my saved passwords, bookmarks, and other add ons; and had to work hard to get things back to how I'd had them it was worth it.
    I must not have been the only one to feel this way, because '''Firefox 4''' seems to have been amazingly short lived. Now you have out '''Firefox 5''', and yet nothing has changed. From what I can tell, it is still the same poorly designed browser that I hated in version 4, just given a new number. Honestly, even calling it a new version seems dishonest.
    I have to ask why.
