How can I deploy the owb browser application (owbb.war / 11.2.0.3) to run on glassfish server instead of owb's oc4j?

No it is only certified with OC4J and iAS.

Problems starting GlassFish via GlassFish Tools

Hi everyone,
I am experiencing problems in starting a GlassFish Server (Open Source Edition 4.1 (build 13)) via GlassFish Tools in Eclipse Luna on my MacBook (OS X Yosemite) as described in these postings. The server is stuck at 69 % on starting up until a TimeoutException appears.
The problem can be solved though by going back to an older version of GlassFish tools (it seems 7.3.2.20141114 is the last version which is working for me).
On my Windows PC no such problems occur, even when running GlassFish tools in the latest version.
Is anyone experiencing similar issues and might provide a hint to fix this?
I really appreciate any help in this matter .

OWB11gR2: Mapping execution in a process flow not visible in OWB Browser

When a mapping is executed inside a process flow, execution details are not visible in OWB Repository Browser (Control Center reports) - rows processed, errors etc. Mapping row is missing in a log, like it never happened (but it did).
This auditing information is very important for monitoring reasons (to our customers also) and I just don't get it how this functionality is lost with this version. Another serious bug?

I was rather tired and frustrated last evening, so today I noticed some things I didn't yesterday. Your reply gave me a new motivation.
The conclusion is - a mapping execution in a process flow is logged, but the way activities are displayed in OWB Browser are now different than in previous versions. If I click on 'Execution Job Report' on a process flow, I see all the activities listed except mappings (transformations, assign, file exists, subprocess etc.). If I want to see mapping execution row, I must click on a plus (expand) sign.
This kind of behavior will make processes with a complex hierarchy (usually we have more than 5 levels of subprocesses) rather vast to monitor. In 10gR2, a drilling down was accomplished by opening a new browser tab (Execution Job Report link) for each subprocess/mapping activity. Now it shall remain on one huge screen (list) that keeps expanding.
But, if that is the new feature, we shall live with that. If our customers won't like it, they will have to get used to it.

When you login into Runtime Audit Browser, select "QA User" in the "Select Role" box (by default it's "Warehouse User"). This will enable Purge.

OWB BROWSER PROBLEM

I am new with owb and have a problem with that Warehouse Builder Browser.
At the first I start the OWB Browser Listener. That's ok.
Afterwards I start the Repository Browser. That's ok.
After short time a Browser window open with the login PAGE at the Control Center.
After input of the necessary data I come on the report PAGE.
Now the problem: after I click Design Repository: Navigator
I come back again on the login PAGE. With the others links the same happens (such as Object Summary Report)
What is the problem??
I use Oracle 10gR2 and Warehouse Builder 10gR2

Disable Private Browsing via Group policy

We are a medium sized business using Firefox 27.0.1. I have been looking for a way to control private browsing via group policy for a while but there are no clear answers on how a system administrator can do this without a convoluted process of editing files that can't be found anywhere on a computer.
Our environment:
windows 2008 DC
using group policy
500 users, all windows
Do not use any proxy or L7 filtering
I've looked into using the adm file that is available from the link below. I've sifted through the code and followed instructions for the lockdown process for Computer and User configuration; however, nothing works.

If someone can point me to a registry entry or a vbs file that can be used as a start up script, it would be greatly appreciated by myself and all the system administrators of the world that are trying to decrease private browsing in organizations.
Between the 3 major browsers we are using on our Windows platform (IE, Chrome Firefox); Firefox seems to be a challenge to control. I have been successful in controlling settings via group policy for the other two. I'm working on a cumulative step by step document for this and will share with the world when I am able to configure Firefox.

Thanks for those suggestions; however, they don't help sysadmins that already have the non-enterprise version in their environment. From what I gather, there really isn't a straightforward way of doing this via group policy in a Windows environment without first removing the app and then deploying it with customizations (using tools suggested).
I guess I'll go with the answer "No, there isn't a straighforward way of controlling Firefox through Group policy".

Could not web-browsing via my N95

Last night, when I try to use my N95 for web-browsing via wireless network, I discovered that whatever how many times I try to click on the "world icon" from my cell, it can't show up the web-browsing mode anymore.
Eventually, I hv tried to switch off my cell, and re-start it again. But still, the problem is still here.
So does anyone have this experience before? Or the only way to fix this problem is update the firmware to V12?

What kind of VPN software are you using on your Nokia N73 phone?
Chances are that you are using:
- SymVPN from www.telexy.com
- or NCP VPN from www.ncp-e.com
- or Nokia Mobile VPN (mVPN) from www.nokia.com
I am successfully using SymVPN on Nokia 5800 for Web browsing, MailForExchange, connecting Intranet and making VoIP calls over VPN.
About your problem with WEB browsing over VPN connection. I saw a comment in FAQ section for SymVPN, saying that for some Nokia phones and firmware versions, users need to make some kind of refresh for web page after first usage of standard WEB browser with VPN connection, after that all should be fine. Probably this trick will work for you too.
Couple weeks ago I have tried Opera Mini over VPN and didn't notice any problem.
On Nokia 5800 I can access VPN Access Point via Destination folder where I keep my VPN connections created in SymVPN. I guess there is no Destinations on your Nokia N73 and VPN Access Point should be available for selection in the same place where regular Access Points are.

Apologies for the delay but I have been trying to determine why this API is not been working. I have since discovered that, although this API is documented in the JS library, the behaviour has yet to be implemented into Photoshop CC. Offline I will try to determine why this API was included in the library when it was not ready but for the meantime, if you would like to open a browser, here is a workaround:
Instead of using:

Disable "Open in Browser" via GPO

I've been asked to disable opening PDFs in Internet Explorer for our environment. The reason required is that we force Sharepoint customers to view any documents in the application for them, ie Word documents open in MS Office and so on. But Adobe Reader documents open within the browser meaning customers have to either open in a new tab or constantly browse back to the Document List page.
We're running Internet Explorer 9, Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory and Windows 7 as our desktops/notebooks.
I've created a test GPO and applied it to one computer to disable the Adobe PDF Link Helper and the Adobe PDF Reader add-ons in Internet Explorer 9. When I open Internet Explorer 9 on my test machine and browse the Manage Add-ons area the 2 Adobe ActiveX features are listed as disabled but when I click on a link inside Internet Explorer it is still opening the PDF inside the web browser. Am I missing anything with this setting? I'm currently disabling the add-ons via the Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Security Features > Add-on Management > Add-on List. I then disable the 2 ActiveX programs using their Class ID and setting their value to 0.

E61 crashes after using email or the browser via w...

I have a problem; every time I use the browser or retrieve my mail via wlan, the phone reboots again.
This only happend recently since I installed the latest firmware.
When I for instance get my mail via a non WLAN (such as the GPRS network of my telco-provider) this doesn't happen.
Has anyone got an Idea to solve this problem, without downgrading to a old firmware version?

In the application manager I see multiple .sis files their status on unistalled. I don't know how to delete these files, or change a setting so that the phone doesn't try to install them.

INS0009 error trying to use OWB Browser Assistant

Hi!
I'm trying to integrate a 9iAS installation on the same machine as an OWB installation using the Browser Assistant (I'm following the documentation instructions), but I'm having a couple of problems getting it working.
When I get to the sysdba information page and click 'Next', I eventually get a INS0009 can't connect to the database error. The SID of the 9iAS installation is the default, iasdb, and I can tnsping that, so it appears to be working. (Also shows up under lsnrctl stat). I should note that I have combined the 9iAS - Infrastructure and 9i DB TNSListeners into one, and this appears to work fine.
I can login to the IASDB database with no problems, as well.
This shows up in listener.log when I try and connect, but nothing happens:

Whoops. Problem fixed. I tried using the same user ("sys") and password in EM Console, and it didn't work. Tried system/manager and it worked in both.

How to cleanup OWB Browser Reports

Hi,
Before we starting using OWB on a regular basis, we wanted to a Proof of Concept. Now that this POC is completed, we are ready to start using OWB and want to make sure we're at a clean start.
We're using OC4J to view the Warehouse Builder Runtime Audit Browser. And in there I see several reports that were created duing our POC. I would like to remove these reports. How can I do that?
I tried logging in as IMS_RRS, and can select the reports, but the "Purge Selected Audit Detail" button is always greyed out. Can I do this thru OC4J, or must I have Portal set up and running to use the Administration menus.

IPhone 5 will not browse via 3G - any ideas?

I have a new iPhone 5 on TMobile.
I am unable to browse the internet when it is connected via 3G however other data operations work fine - e.g. I can send and recieve mail via IMAP
When it is connected via wifi the browsing works normally, this problem only manifests itself over 3G.
I have tried both Safari and Chrome and the symptoms are broadly the same for both - progress bar starts and download wheel appears and starts spinning, this goes on for about 30-45 seconds when the progress bar stops, the download wheel disappears and a blank white page is displayed in the browser.
It feels like a network problem but I have been in touch with TMobile and they are adamant that the problem is not at their end. I have done a full factory reset/restore (twice!) but this has not fixed it?
Anyone got any ideas?

IWeb 09 site crashes when browses via Safari

I recently found that when I visit my own iWeb made site via Safari, like a good boy, all Apple Safari suddenly quits on nearly every visit.
Any help or advice as to why this is happening, I heard of IE crashing on iWeb made sites, but Safari
should browse seemlessly, one would have thought

Your site loads fine, and fast, in Safari for me. I'm using V 5.0.2. This version of Safari has a number of issues and I hope there's a fix on the way. I find myself using Chrome more and more and can't wait until it comes out of beta.
Is it just your own site that crashes Safari or has it happened with others?
