P6 r8 Integration API issue

Hello all,
I want to update Physical percent complete of an activity using the integration api. To do that I am setting
Task status to "IN_PROGRESS"
Percent Complete Type to "PHYSICAL"
Physical Percent Complete to 20%
Code snippet
a.setPercentCompleteType(PercentCompleteType.PHYSICAL);
a.setStatus(ActivityStatus.IN_PROGRESS);
a.setPhysicalPercentComplete(new Percent(0.20);
However the code does not update the activity physical percent complete. Has any one used Integration API to update Physical percent complete for an activity?

I highly doubt that, and have heard nothing about that whatsoever.
The SDK is still supported and has been around over a decade, I don't think it's going anywhere.

Primavera P6 R82 Integration API - EPS getSummaryTotalCostVariance Issue

Hi!
We have recently upgraded our EPPM instance from R80 to R82 and now experiencing strange issues with getting summary total cost variance on the EPS level through the Integration API: it returns null value.
We upgraded our app with the new client library and included all the necessary fields during loading of the EPS and all the other fields are returned in a proper way, except this one. More than that, functions getSummaryActualTotalCost and getSummaryBaselineTotalCost also return null.
Has anyone faced the same problems and what is the solution?

No solution but i just check the web services and it is also returning null.

I am getting "Fatal Error: null" when connection to P6v8.3.2 DB using P6 Integration API.
I can connect via P6 client using admin account but cannot connect using P6 API. If I provide invalid credentials it says that the credentials are incorrect. When correct credentials are provided, it comes up with the above error.
Stacktrace is atteched.

In the absence of sample code it is difficult to identify the cause. If that is not possible, you can try logging SR with Oracle support.

Integration API method to get display name

Is there a method in Integration API to get display name of columns.
I want a method like getDisplayName(string fieldName) returns the name displayed on Primavera UI.

not sure if you already testet it like that, but as far as I know the full username of an AD user is displayed just the way it is, for an enterprise user.
Have you checked, if the full name is filled with AD information?
If not, you might check your settings in the CMC -> "Authentication" -> "Windows AD" -> "Import Full Name and Email Address"
I can not check it with our test system, cause our user names are identical to our full names.
But it might give you a hint!

P6 R8.2 Integration API

Hi,
I'm trying to use integration API on P6 R8.2, I have installed P6 R8.2 with Oracle XE, when I'm trying to use integration API I just get "Unable to get database instances". Do I have to install weblogic? or Do I miss a configuration?

Maybe a bit late, but for others running into this problem, this is in the Oracle Knowledge base:
The P6 R8.1 and R8.2 Integration APIs are not designed to work with P6 R8.1 and R8.2 Professional databases, but they can be patched to do so by following these instructions:
Install P6 Professional R8.1 or R8.2
Download, extract and install the R8.1 or R8.2 Integration API but do not run the database configuration wizard
Copy the integration jar file from the P6 Professional installed folder to the API installed folder. For example, copy intgserver.jar from “C:\Program Files\Oracle\Primavera P6\P6 Professional\Pro\Java\lib” to: “C:\P6IntegrationAPI_1\lib”
Run database configuration as Administrator by navigating to Start -> Programs -> Oracle – Primavera P6 -> Primavera P6 API -> Database Configuration
(Optional) Run API Demo by navigating to Start -> Programs -> Oracle – Primavera P6 -> Primavera P6 API -> Demo -> General Demo

Primavera Integration API and retrieving fields

Hello,
I am trying out Integration API with Primavera P6, Release 7. So far it looks straight forward and I am able to retrieve most of the field values from project object and activity object but I am having hard time figuring out how to retrieve the following two that I can see in Primavera UI. I do not see any straight forward method on either project or activity to get these.
I would appreciate, any help from experts here. Please see attached screen shot for reference.
1. Global Responsibility
2. Original Duration

Original Duration is Planned Duration.
Note: The total working time from the activity planned start date to the planned finish date. The planned working time is computed using the activity's calendar. This field is named OriginalDuration in Primavera's Engineering & Construction and Maintenance & Turnaround solutions.
Global Responsibility looks like an Activity Code.

Download attachment binary via integration API?

I've been using the CMS integration API to do everything I've needed to do. But I cannot figure out how to download the binary of an attachment. I can figure out how to get all the attachment info associated with a CMS document, but I cannot figure out how to download the binary of the attachment itself. Is this possible?
I'm currently integration with CMS version 13.

Hello Billy,
I believe that the API can only be used to add references to files that already exist in a specific location and the API cannot be used to add files to or download files from the file server.

Is there a Business Objects Data Integrator API / SDK to "execute" DI jobs?

I am searching for a Business Objects Data Integrator API / SDK that can be used to remotely execute BOBJ DI jobs (like in scheduling BOBJ XI docs).
I found AdapterSDK from BOBJ DI but this is used to create adapters usable with DI (for various sources and targets). I am interested only in executing an already created job...

Has anyone heard of if P6 v7 Integration API is going to be desupported after the introduction of web service some time back. Is there anyone from Oracle support or sales team who can comment on this?

OES and WebCenter Integration And PEP API Issues

Hi All,
Currently we want to develop a WebCenter app which will check Authentication Policy in Oracle Entitlement Server using PEP API.
We encountered some issues, and have following questions:
1. According to PEP sample API, seems the PEP client application could only connect to the OES which is deployed on the same container context (same WLS domain).
Is that possible for our PEP client application to connect to OES which is deployed on a different WLS domain or even remote WLS?
2. Currently we deployed our WebCenter Spaces and OES on different WLS domains, is this a common pattern for WebCenter and OES integration?
We got following error while starting up OES, after we try deploying OES 11.1.1.5.0 and WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.0 together on a WLS (10.3.5) domain.

Finally I found the error I got was because of the wrong version of JDeveloper and WebCenter extension.
Portal apps which created by JDev 11.1.1.6.0 are not able to run on WebCenter 11.1.1.1.5, while the ones created by JDev 11.1.1.1.5 with WC extension 11.1.1.4.0.120306 work.
Looks like it's not a good idea to mix FMW products of different version in a single project.

Integration Connection Issue (Need help!)

I have some issues enabling Cockpit with widgets in SAP Business One. I'm running SAP Business One 9.0 PL10 64-Bit I can enable Cockpit with widgets just fine. It's running on default SQL instance (had some issues with named).
Everytime I try and log in to the demo database, I get the following error:
All services are running, so I wen't into Modules > Administration > Integration Service > Integration Administration. This opens up a website, which I login with the user "B1iadmin" succesfully. I then go to B1if Admin > SLD > SBODemoUS > B1DI > Test Connection and I'm receiving this error:
com.sap.b1i.adapter.dia.exception.ConnectionFailedException: java.lang.ClassCastException:class java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:null incompatible with class java.lang.Exception:null
1. I've tried installing both Java 7 32/64bit, Java 6 32/64bit and Java 5 32/64bit.
2. I have check up on the JCO Path: C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One DI API\JCO\LIB
3. I have checked up on c:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\DIProxy\diproxyserver.properties path: JCOPATH=C:\\Program Files\\SAP\\SAP Business One DI API\\JCO\\LIB
4. JDBC Test Connection is succesful:
Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong? I'm more than willing to provide more information of my setup, simply ask.

Thank you for your reply.
I installed DI API 32-bit, changed the path to JCO to point towards the (x86) path. It now complained about the username and password for the B1i user, so I changed the password and changed it in the integration administration configuration and the connection is now succesful.
I then launched SAP and no longer had an error upon login. When attempting to start a cockpit window, it asked for the installation of Flash player. Since I'm on Windows 2012 R2, which comes with Internet Explorer 11, it just says that Flash Player is embedded in the browser now. But since I'm on the server version, it's not, so I had to install Desktop Experience through Role and features.
Anyways, it's all functioning well now.
Last question; Why does it not work with DI API 64-Bit when both 32 bit and 64 bit comes with JCO?

Hyper-V 2012 R2, integration services issue on multiple VMs

Hello,
I came to you because we encounter a technical issue on one of our Hyper-V (2012 R2).
Our backup (Veeam backup in last version) are still failing with error :
Guest processing skipped (check guest OS VSS state and integration components version)
After checking integration service states of those VMs on the Hyper-V, we get this result :

I already try to disable, then enable the operationalStatus :
Disable-VMIntegrationService -VMName MyVM -Name VSS,Shutdown,"Key-Value Pair Exchange"

The status is OK, but If I retry my backup I have the same error.
So, is there a way to reinstall integration service component without rebooting ?

On the Windows VMs that are not 2012 R2, insert the Integration media ISO, install it, and reboot.
When all is done, run this:

Email Integration Scenario - Issue with email body content

Hi All,
We have an Email to File Scenario. PI is connected to Outlook server using Sender Mail Channel using POP3. We are able to fetch and display emails correctly for most of the received emails.
However we notice that for Email sent from few Mail server like Yahoo mail, Gmail, Hotmail, we are not getting the Email content correctly.
Issue is happening with Emails sent in HTML/Rich text format (containing Formatting and without any attachments). In the receiver system we see the email is converted to Plain text format. If the same email is sent with some attachment / Embedded Image, we get all the Formatting correctly in Receiver System.
A closer look at Pimon we found the following:
1. When Email is sent with Formatting (without any attachment/ image) in Pimon we see that it creates 2 Payloads (screenshot attached)
2. The First Payload - MainDocument contains the Email content in XML format, but is missing the Email formatting data in it.
3. The other Payload - ([email protected]) contains the actual Formatted Email Content.
Not sure why the formatting data is missing from MainDocument. Instead its coming in other payload. Due to this we are not able to display correct data at receiver end as we parse the MainDocument as our Input Payload Stream
Note: We cannot use payload swap bean, as it will swap the data for all the incoming emails which we don't want.
Anyone faced similar issue? Steps to get proper formatting data in MainDocument..
Suggestions / Inputs will be highly appreciated.

We cann't influence the behavior of Gmail, Hotmail. But have to get HTML as main payload, so we have to swap payload (not always, in some cases based on a condition). Please try below Java mapping. In Operational Mapping set "Read Attachments".
