OES and WebCenter Integration And PEP API Issues

Hi All,
Currently we want to develop a WebCenter app which will check Authentication Policy in Oracle Entitlement Server using PEP API.
We encountered some issues, and have following questions:
1. According to PEP sample API, seems the PEP client application could only connect to the OES which is deployed on the same container context (same WLS domain).
Is that possible for our PEP client application to connect to OES which is deployed on a different WLS domain or even remote WLS?
2. Currently we deployed our WebCenter Spaces and OES on different WLS domains, is this a common pattern for WebCenter and OES integration?
We got following error while starting up OES, after we try deploying OES 11.1.1.5.0 and WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.0 together on a WLS (10.3.5) domain.

Finally I found the error I got was because of the wrong version of JDeveloper and WebCenter extension.
Portal apps which created by JDev 11.1.1.6.0 are not able to run on WebCenter 11.1.1.1.5, while the ones created by JDev 11.1.1.1.5 with WC extension 11.1.1.4.0.120306 work.
Looks like it's not a good idea to mix FMW products of different version in a single project.

E-business suite R12 and webcenter integration

We are integrating E-business suite R12 with webcenter.
We followed the steps from the white paper: https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&id=1074345.1&type=NOT
We successfully completed step 1 through 4 and we are stuck at step 5 ( Configure E-Business Suite for WebCenter Integration )
We edited the AutoConfig Context File ($CONTEXT_FILE) to Specify WebCenter host in variable "List of nodes that have access to Portlet Producer URLs"
Here is the sample change:
<trusted_portals oa_var="s_trusted_portals" customized="yes">ap123sun.us.oracle.com ap456sun.us.oracle.com</trusted_portals>After doing this, when we try to access WSDL URL: http://[Release_12_host]:[port]/OA_HTML/portlets/WSRPBaseService?WSDL, we are getting '403 Forbidden' error. Also, accessing http://<EBS_HOST>:<PORT>/OA_HTML/providers/OAFrameworkProvider is returning '403 Forbidden' error
Please let us know if we missed any step.

Database Version is RDBMS 11.2.0.2; Oracle EBS Version is R-12.1.3; OS is HP-UX Itanium 64-Bit Version 11.31 (for DB and Apps Tier).
We bounced the application services after doing the above changes and running AutoConfig.
We checked access_log and the only information that we can find there is

EP60 and LDAP integration with Micosroft AD- Issues

Hello,
We have configured EP6 SP11 and Microsoft AD for the user authentication as below.
MsAD:
AD_Compass_Domain
OU= Accounts
    OU=CORPORATE
          OU=IT
                User1 (User master record)
                 User2 (User master record)
            OU=FI
                 User3 (User master record)
OU=SAP_Portal
       OU=Corp_LDAP
             OU= Groups
                      SAP_Portal (Group Object and users are member of this group object as a link from all different OUs -user1,user2,user3)
              OU= Users
EP6 LDAP config:
Data Sources: Microsoft ADS (Flat Hierarchy) + Database
(We also tried Deep hierarchy didn't work)
LDAP Server:
User Path : OU=SAP_Portal,DC=NA,DC=CompassDev,DC=Corp
Group Path :
OU=Groups,OU=Corp_LDAP,OU=SAP_Portal,DC=NA,DC=CompassDev,DC=Corp
The issues:
1- SAP Portal could not see the group object when I browse the LDAP from portal.
2- SAP Portal is not allowing users (User1, User2, User3 etc which are member of the group object) to log in to the portal unless I put users directly under OU level like OU=Groups or if I point the path to the
OU=Accounts level which we do not want to do that because we have 50,000 users defined under OU=Accounts and we want just some of them like 3000 users. Portal gives the message
user authentication failed
Note: I checked the UME and I dont see the users listed in the group objects. Group object "SAP_Portal" is Universal Group object. (We also tried the global type)
3- When we put user directly under OU level, then users can log in but they are not able to change their password. We also can not change the user passwords through the Portal admin tools(UME or Visual Admin). I
have heard that without SSL, MsAD would not allow portal users to change their password.

only read access on MsAD)
Note: We use 3268 as an AD port and 389 is also active I tried both of them but no chance.

Usually before you switch UME to AD, you would read it with an LDAP web compliant browser, to check if you could access your OU, Group, and Users. Are you sure you can read the complete LDAP structure on AD?
Kindly re-check the process, to see if you missed out on any steps.

LDAP and SAP integration

Hi,
As a part of a project requirement, we are trying to integrate Solution manager with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol).
Using the directory service, we are trying to synchronize the CUA (Central user administration within Solution manager) with Active directory of LDAP so that we can maintain the User data centrally from a single point in LDAP.
Problem description:
Currently, Client has implemented the LDAP and CUA integration and when a new user is added in LDAP, it is automatically getting copied in all SAP systems and at real time, when the useru2019s u201CLASTNAMEu201D field is updated in LDAP, it is automatically getting synchronized in all SAP systems.
But, If any attribute other than u201CLASTNAMEu201D is changed (i.e. The expiry /validity date of the User in LDAP, GLTGB in SAP), then the field value is not getting synchronized in the SAP Central User Adm.
Our Findings:
We have checked the configurations and imported mappings in SAP Solution Manager and everything looks fine. We have debugged the standard program RSLDAPSYNC_USER extensively and found out that an RFC call to function module LDAPRFC_SEARCH is not returning the expected values.

Problem in integration between Webcenter IPM and EBS

Hi,
We are implementing Solution Accelerator v 11.1.1.6.1 with EBS R12 and IPM 11.1.1.7.0.
As per the installation guide "Financials Image Processing Solution Accelerator 11.1.1.6.1", completed all the required settings.
Now we are able to see the task lists on Oracle WebCenter Imaging page but when click on any task link or "Auto Task" link, then it throws below exception:
"[APP: imaging] [DSID: 0000KEjKzll2rIwqwCvX6G1IrG89000003] ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #1"
I am uploading the IPM server and diagnostic log.
Need your expert advice for this issue. This is very critical and any quick help will be highly appreciated.

Session variable filters in the integration between OBIEE and webcenter

Hello All,
I have a customer with the requirement to make sure that reports created in answers and containing sessions variables in filters definition will be correctly filtered once called from webcenter.
So if an OBI report is diplayed in webcenter and contains the same type of filters (based on session variable), will the results be filtered based on the specified variable?
In other words can we use session variables in the integration between OBIEE and webcenter?

Crystal Reports and SAP Integration Issue

Gurus,
I am in the process of reinstalling my SAP B-One(2007 A) Server, after SQL Server and SAP Server and Client installtions and its related patch PL10. My machine is fully loaded and to go, but I am stuck with Crystal Reports Basic 2008 installtion.
After installting the below for Crystal Reports:
1) .NetPlatform SP1 setup (dotnetfx35sp1)
3) Crytatl Runtime
4) Crystal Setup
5) Crystal SAP Viewer
6) CR2008_SP3
My integration between SAP and CR are fine but after first log off and log on of SAP B-One.
Shows the below messages:
- "The new version of Add-on Crystal Reports for SAP Business One is
installed. Upgrade the Add-on in the current Common DB."
followed by the below one.
"Wrong Executable digital signature for Add-On".
Any advices on how can I upgrade the Common DB.

Re-installation meaning that you had installed aprevious version and now upgrading or is it a full installation.

In short you would need to customize WebCenter Sites.
You would need to include Apache Solr Client libraries into lib directory of you sites installation and call it withing the jsp template.

Integrating Adobe CQ5 with Oracle WebCenter/UCM and OIM

Hello, I'm looking for strategies to integrate CQ5 and Webcenter for following areas:
1. Where CQ5 can act as page aggregator and portlets implemented on WebCenter side can be integrated on webpage which resides on CQ5. How the session information from WebCenter can be propagated and maintained in CQ5 side as well?
2. Integrate CQ5 with OIM for security and authentication purpose.
3. Integrate DAM and Oracle UCM for Assests access across DAM and UCM.

Functional overlap between WebCenter Services and Beehive API

Hi,
I'm evaluating Beehive and have also just begun working with TP3 and WebCenter - and am curious about the rather substantial overlap between the new WebCenter Services and the Beehive API. Would anyone know if Beehive is utilizing the WebCenter Services internally, and just bundling them into that product and exposing them as Web Services through their API? Or are they just seperate and parallel efforts?

If you are wanting to know how to configure ESSO to be used to logon to SAP applications then there is a guide in the helpfile of the admin console. Simply do a search for SAP.
In short ESSO-LM comes with a SAP helper object which needs to be selected on install. To enable the ESSO SAP helper to interact with SAP, the SAP server and the SAPGUI client need to be configured. The details for this are in the helpfile. If you have multiple SAP systems launched from the SAPGUI then this is the best method because it means ESSO can distinguish between the different SAP systems through matching screens
If you have only one SAP system and you do not want to configure the SAP server then you could use send keys and not use the SAP helper object at all.
