PA - OM Integration not happening via BDC

Hi,
In the HR system PA and OM are linked. So any position filled via Hire / re-hire is reflected in the org structure.
In our system, when we do a manual quick hire via PA40 of a person then the Org assignment is also done.
However we have implemented a BDC program to perform quick hire.
When we are using BDC the record is created in PA infotypes correctly (in 0000 and 0001 the position is occupied by the person ), however in Org structure the position still appears to be Empty and not occupied by this personnel.
Any reasons or solution ? Why is there a difference between BDC and a manual hire?
If we run RHINTE00 after running the BDC rogram the PA-OM integration is happening fine.
But RHINTE00 is supposed to be run initially and not everytime we hire an employee right?
Also the integrations flags are: PLOGI PLOGI = 01
PLOGI ORGA = X
PLOGI PRELU = 0

There is a requirement in our project to take the data from Orcale EBS and insert into a different legacy and it is a MS SQL Server. So it makes it Orcale DB to SQL Server. When i manually insert data to a table in SQL Server it's working fine. When i try to insert the data to the same table using BPEL(SOA 11g), It's giving out an exeception,
"{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}bindingFault" has been thrown.
Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'insert' failed due to: DBWriteInteractionSpec Execute Failed Exception. insert failed. Now the first question is, when you are saying connecting to personal hotspot, have you always been using the iPhone to connect to the internet? Are you someplace where the only place to connect is available via tethering to the iPhone's celluar network? Or do you have other options?

Not able to import User Profile Property via BDC Connection

I want to fill some of the user profile properties via BDC Connection. I already have created more than 50 user profiles which I imported from AD. Now, in order to import profiles properties using BDC, I performed below steps:
a) Ensured Business Data Connectivity and Secure Store are running and used account has Full permission on these services.
b) Created an external content type using SharePoint Designer and created an external list to ensure that data is available:
Set email field as identifier, which is one of the columns in SQL table and is a primary key.
Created Read Item and Read List operations on above ECT.
c) Checked the presence of above ECT in BDC service and ensured it has all necessary permissions i.e. Edit, Execute etc.
d) Configure a new synchronization connection in User profile Service by selecting the same ECT. Here I chose to connect 1:1 mapping and picked up WorkEmail property to return items.
e) Mapped one of the custom property with one of the fields of SQL Server. Here, I ensured they both have same type.
f) Ran Full Synchronize after above steps. On checked, I do not find any data in the mapped properties.

Just wanted to check some last items before making final decisions as I am checking an alternative workaround
- my camcorder supports recording on memory stick which can then be read into iMovie without problem. Any idea if memory stick is lower in resolution as normal DV tape recording? If this is comparable I can choose to from now on switch to memory stick. When I record on the stick it is then recognised as MOV.
- is there any other (non apple made) OSX software on the market to facilitate only the USB driven capturing? Hence did any other SW supplier plug this hole? The old windows pc has proven that the camera streams images via the USB port (hence don't at all understand why iMovie cannot just support capturing via USB streaming...!!!!) and I understand it is more that iMovie doesn't support capturing images via USB, but does anybody else at least for the capturing bit?
- You read about Firewire - USB adapters/hubs/convertors. It is however never clear if it would solve this issue. Dead-end street or an option?
- I can capture my archive of old tapes on my old PC and then put them into my Mac. However the capturing SW makes one large file of it and no event is split. Any idea if on import iMovie could automatically split this into different events (based on date or start/stop?)
- final question: does iMovie when capturing video from tapebased camcorder automatically split events based on date or start/stop? Would be silly to make switch and then still find out I need to manually make the cuts.

Contract creation via bdc

Hi,
When creating a contract via bdc, the net price is always picked up from the info record(if one exists). Is there a way to override this behaviour and make the system pickup the net price from the input data?

I am trying to create a quantity contract using BDC but the Net Order Price is coming as Zero even though the condition type PB00 is maintained properly in the info record with some net order price which is not equal to zero.

I hit the back button and go back to the form fill in page. It will not take me to the page of results. This does not happen in other browsers.

GR IR not clearing via ERS

We have a number of old inter-company documents for the one of our plants sitting in the GR/IR that have not cleared via ERS. Please help me in finding the reason for not getting these cleared.

Sometimes GRIR does not happen because the material documents gets updated in table ZZEKRS.
The material number apperaing in this table are not picked up while running MRER
You need to run a program to clear the entries in this table(Program:ZZ_DELETE_ZZEKRS).
This is a correction program provided by SAP as part of *SAP Note 680459
This program should be svheduled before running the MRER job,so that it clears the entries before the MRER batch job.

How do I stop calendar from coming on automatically and overiding gmail so that I cannot access it. I can use windows explorer and this does not happen.

When I use firefox to access my gmail account, the calendar comes on by itself and I then cannot get to my emails. If I get the gmail account by windows explorer this does not happen. What can I do within firefox to stop this from happening. It just started this today.

After disabling the addon the problem is gone.

We are using PP order with PCC(product cost collector) as the cost object , i.e costing by period.(system ECC 6)
But our problem is with material standard cost estimate process.
We have assigned overhead keys to the percentage rates in costing sheet for material standard costing and assigned the origin groups to the credits of costing sheet. But after running the cost estimate overhead is not taking into account for standard cost calculation.
In the define credit entry table key field is valid to date strangly and actually system should allow one than one entry with same valid to date and same sec.Cost element(type-41) for different cost centers.
But if we without using overhead key and origin group, the entire cost in that supporting cost center will come to all materials (SFG/FG) and we can not distinguish between different product materials(SFG /FG).
We have checked all things as mentined below.
Firstly that the correct costing sheet is assigned to the valuation
variant.
That the costing sheet is entered for the appropriate material type:
Finished and semi finished or material components.
All of the above can be checked and verified via transaction OKKN.
In addition make sure that the base value maintained is present in the
costing, for example the base may include an Origin group, is that
origin group part of the materials being costed?
Similarly if the base is found and values exist how is the overhead
rate of the costing sheet set up, is it valid etc.
And finally do a similar check for the credit.
we doubt this as a programm error...
So, request all experts to have ur feedback..

some time in costing sheet origin group is maintain in different unit & for materail it's maitain in other unit of mesaurement.
You can see unit of measure for material in Additional data - unit of measure.
Check BOM component material unit also.

Auto Source determination not happening

Hi Guruz,
I have a material assigned to a quota arrangement usage in material master - MRP 2 View.
Source list maintained for the material/plant with 2 vendor codes and both releveant for MRP '1'
Quota arrangement maintained with proper validity periods.
But when i generate purchase requisitions via MRP, the source assignemnt is not happening. MRO generates PRs but the source of supply is blank. I have to assign the source either by ME57 or via 'assign source' tab in PR item details.
I have maintained EVO parameter in my user id also.
Not sure what I have missed. Please help!

Please check following also -
1) Whether the vendor is not blocked for purchasing
2) If QM is activated & Delivery Release is required for the material, then check whether the Quality Info Record is maintained & the vendor is released for puruchase.
3) The scheduled delivery dates are lying inside the validity period of the Quota Arrangement & Source List

How do you reorder the pages in a PDF ie back to front (not individually via Page view). The manual solution of course is to scan or import them in the correct order in the first place. However, this did not happen, and we have many PDF's which are 100% in the wrong order. So we would like to press a button and have them in the right order.

Got it to work. It returned a completely different path of course just to make life interesting and required a FN+OPTION ENTER in order to return the path. I now have the FLATTEN option in the edit menu.
Just trying it checking all the Flatten options except the fields seemed to work on the first pass. I'm going to try and load a copy of the original complete document. I assume that is the proper way to use this at this point since I created the form ***-backwards?
I've used Adobe layout programs since the Aldus days but Acrobat seems to work differently than any other program I've used.
If I understand what you're saying I should:
1. Design the layout of the form leaving spaces for the fields
2. Open Acrobat, import the document
3. Auto-add and correct, or manually add the fields
4. Fix tabbing
5. Add any additional comments or annotations
6. Flatten everything but the fields? (If the fields are flattened I can't fill out the form unless it's supposed to be a printed form only, right?)
Might just have to break down and RTFM. Acrobat is a really different animal.

GUI tran to delete shopping cart via BDC

I'm trying to find a GUI (not web) tran which can delete a shopping cart (set header status = I1040) and can be called via BDC:
1. I can enter "/n" to get out of the Easy Access Menu and then run tran BBP_MON_SC in the GUI to delete a shopping cart. However, is there a way to run the GUI tran BBP_MON_SC via BDC considering it has to be done out of the Easy Access Menu?
2. Is there some other GUI tran that can delete a shopping cart without having to worry about getting out of the Easy Access Menu?
We're running the EBP extended classic scenario with SRM 4.0 and SRM_SERVER 5.00.

inheritance and std acc asignment and for constant we have filled zabc which contains business area and segment and no profit center and segment contains 9999 as default profitcenter.

LSO integration with Skillsoft via PI - Please help

I am working on LSO integration with Skillsoft via PI. I have already referred the PDF XI Configuration for SkillSoft Integration and also referred to the existing discussion posts in SDN
The flow of interface in my scenario is
Portal(FrontEnd) <-> ECC(BSP Application at Backend) <-> PI <---> External Learning Vendor(SkillSoft).
1) Commnication is from SAP LSO System to Third Party(Skill Soft) through PI(XI).
2) It will be synchronous call.
3 ) From portal user should be able to register, book,Lauch, or Track the course and will get response back to SAP LSO system/portal from Skill Soft.
4) Portal is the frontend and backend is the BSP application(ZHCM_Learning).
Can you please let me know the details how to handle this scenario and pass the parameters like customerid, assetid,courseid etc to PI(XI). Also let me know what would be the best approach to follow in this scenario..Is there any BAPI / RFC available for this scenario or need to go via proxy.
If we need to go via proxy.. how to pass data to PI as soon as user clicks on any actions(like registering/launching or booking the course) from portal. BSP is the backend application(ZHCM_Learning). Please guide me if someone has already implemented the similar scenario.
