Packaging plug-in into ZXP for Adobe Exchange

Hi All,
I'm trying to package plug-in for Lightroom in order to make it available on Adobe Exchange.
Online packager that is available on Adobe Exchange site offers Lightroom option, but apparently produces incorrect package that cannot be used later for installation. While using Adobe Exchange Packager for preparing ZXP package, I'm requested for compatible product - and there is no Lightroom among them - the closest match is Photoshop.
Does anybody know the solution for packaging of plug-ins for Lightroom for Adobe Exchange?

I sent my plugin to Adobe as a zip file (I think this was as instructed in July), they built the .zxp file and the resulting "installation" is that they would drop a .zip file into Downloads folder. Some how I find regular downloads much more user-friendly
I looked at few other plugins, and they seemed to do the same .zip dropping. I asked Adobe support and they had no other solution, but I guess they were working on it.
Looking now at Adobe's own Aperture import plugin, it does properly install to Lightroom/Modules directory, so maybe they have worked it out, I haven't really bothered since the market seems dead anyway. Lightroom doesn't even link to it from the help menu, as it used to in the old Adobe Exchange days.

How can install the Fractal Image plug-in into Firefox for Windows 7?

I have the plug-in necessary to view fractal images built with the now no longer Iterated Systems program "Fractal Imager." These are files with the .fif extension and the plug-in is needed to view them. The plug in I have is fully functional. The problem I am having is that I needed instructions on how to upload this plug-in into Firefox for Windows.

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

Packaging an extension for Adobe Exchange?

Hello,
I developed a small extension for Photoshop CC, with a little help from the HTML 5 Extension guides scattered around the web.
But there's one thing, that no guide covered in a way that helped me to get this to work.
Packing it up as a ZXC, that will work after installing it with the extension manager.
My extension currently works only when debugged (with debugging mode enabled in the registry).
After disabling debugging mode & installing the extension from the ZXC package that I signed, the extension simply won't show in the Extensions menu within Photoshop.
What I suspect to be causing this (please throw me a bone or two here) is the installation location (While uploading the package I was asked to specify a location for the extension to be installed, I don't know?)
Some things you might want to know:
I developed this small extension using Eclipse
My 'CSXS' folder is inside of a folder named '.staged-extension' (I noticed it varies, and might be causing this?)
When debugging it all works just fine

There was another page in Adobe's site, specifying the changes required to have the extension to work (It didn't work before then, but I already went through it.)

I attempted going through your guide, but I'm still having the same issue.
I'll try to describe what happens, step by step:
Done developing & debugging the extension with debug mode on.
Packing the extension with ZXPSignCmd (just like you instructed)
Upload the ZXP package to Exchange, then It asks me for : 'install location' - I can't define it to the location you provided but I can choose from a list.
Nothing really fits (Desktop, Downloads, Brushes etc'), so I went for Desktop just to see what happens.
After the upload process is complete, I download the package and install it using Extension Manager CC.
The ZXP package that I packed and uploaded to Exchange appears on my desktop.
It looks like Adobe Exchange packs my ZXP packager in another one, resulting Extension Manager to extract the outer one, and putting mine in the install location provided during upload.
I'm clueless.
EDIT:
I just realized that for some reason Adobe Exchange only let me upload files that will later be packed into a ZXP package, instead of just using the one I made.
Removing the whole product and starting over let me choose to upload my self packed one.
I'll update whether or not this actually works though~

Nope.
Probably was a step in the right direction, but it still won't work.

How do I set a price for adobe exchange add-ons?

I'm an adobe exchange developer and have an approved (unpublished) Photoshop product ready to go but I am unable to set the price to anything other than Free. I have linked my Fastspring account but the 'Free' remains greyed out. I can find absolutely no way to contact any product managers or administrators from Adobe via my exchange account (other than submitting reviewer notes on a new product submission) so I'm trying here. Any hints appreciated, including any better way for publishers to contact Adobe exchange administration. Thanks!

I received the same instruction in an email today, here was my reply. I post it here in case it is helpful to others:
It's actually a bit trickier than that. You can't change the price once it's retracted so I had to publish, then change the price while it's live, then retract it. I can only hope or guess that it went through. There is no record of my changes being submitted and it doesn't show up anymore either under my products submitted nor published products, only the original free one in my 'retracted' tab in my account. I hope my change request has been received, I can't tell, nor do I know how I will know if it is received or approved but I think I submitted it.
It would be nice if this process was a bit clearer with the ability to 1) edit without publishing and 2) move edited products back into 'Not Published' until changes are approved 3) receive some kind of change request receipt

HT1386 iPhone is timing out when I plug it into itunes for the first time. not even registering

Just got an iPhone 5S. I went to go and plug it into to sync to iTunes. Upadated my iTunes to the latest version. I plug in th iPhone, yet nothing happens. After a few mintues it says the connection has timed out. Any help would be great.

I can not get the plug ins to work for Adobe and Java

For Mac and Windows users there is two version options. You only need one.

HT201210 my Iphone was working fine and then I plugged it into Itunes for the update and now it says I have to restore to orignal factory settings. I will lose my contacts, photos and anything else I have loaded over the past two years. REALLY?? WHY

I plugged my Iphone 4S into my computer to update it via Itunes and now it says I have to restore to factory settings and will lose all of my contacts, photos, and applications I have downloaded. All I was really wanted to do was delete photos that uploaded from my home computer and took up all the space on my phone! GRRRR I hate this

If you are using the iphone as designed then you should lose very little or nothing.
You should be syncing contacts with your computer regularly, so all of your contacts should be on your computer and you can sync them back.
You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any attempt to update.
You should be transferring all purchases made on your iphone to your computer: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

My extension has close to 100 files. Is there a way to save the contents of the MXP file in Packager (I couldn't find a way) so, when I need to update the extension I don't need to enter all files again?

Why isn't the Adobe Exchange Panel opening in Flash Pro CS6?

It says it's installed but when I go to Window>Extensions>
and then there is nothing, no other menu to go from.

How did you install the Adobe Exchange extension?
I would recommend downloading the latest updates for Extension Manager from here:

...and downloading the latest Adobe Exchange ZXP from www.adobeexchange.com (it was updated on Friday). Make sure that you open the ZXP with Adobe Exchange CS6 for it to be available in Flash Pro CS6. If you also have Extension Manager CS5 installed, it's possible that you've accidentally installed the panel into Flash Pro CS5.

How to install Adobe Exchange Panel

All attempts to download the Adobe Exchange Panel end up with a Zip file with no executable file in it.
Creative Suite 6 Production Premium
Extension Manager CS6 6.0.8.28
Illustrator CS6 16.0.3 64 Bit
Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 64 Bit
The download for “Adobe Exchange Panel for CS6 Add-ons” from these links https://www.adobeexchange.com/download# https://www.adobeexchange.com/panel download a Zip file without an executable file to install it.
The Extension manager is no help as it will install only .zxp or .mxp files.
This discussion https://forums.adobe.com/message/6397105#6397105 gives correct answers but all the links to an Adobe Exchange Panel download lead to a zip file. The last entry in the discussion by fgregor May 22, 2014 2:32 AM (in response to Deepak_artist) gives a link that is suppose to be a .zxp file but it is also a Zip file.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

When I download it and open it I have this,
When I go through the Adobe Extension Manager and click on exchange and navigate to the download I still get a Zip file.

Adobe Exchange panel doesn't appear in Dreamweaver CC

I've joined CC and I'm using Dreamweaver, I've also tried to download and install Adobe Exchange panel without success - I can see it in extension manager but the panel doesn't appear in Dreamweaver. I'm beginning to regret ever signing up for CC as it appears to be very glitchy. Could someone help me with this please.

Hi Maddie,
Thank you for this extra information regarding the Exchange Panel not appearing. It's strange that the problem appears in both CC and CS6 - these use different processes and different installation directories for extensions and should be independent of each other.
A few questions -
Can you please look in Task Manager when Photoshop CC is running and see if there is a process listed called "Adobe CEP Service Manager"? Do you have any "system optimisation" or security software running which may be blocking processes that you haven't expressly permitted?
In Photoshop CC, can you see any other extensions listed in Window -> Extensions? Upon installation there should be other Extensions available, for example "Kuler" - can you see this in the dropdown? This will help us to work out whether this is a problem with Adobe Exchange specifically, or if it is an issue with all extensions in general.
If you can then turn on logging as follows, that would be very helpful:
In Registry Editor, regedit.exe:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Adobe>CSXS.4
Increase the LogLevel to 6. Then run Dreamweaver or Photoshop CC - Log files will be generated in: C:\Users\<username>\[AppData]\Local\Temp. If you are in Photoshop the log file will have the filename csxs4-PHSP.log, and for Dreamweaver it will be csxs4-DRWV.log. Please email these log files to me at fgregor at adobe dot com.
Upon searching the forums, there was another user who may have had the same problem as you (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1291469) - can you check whether C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4 contains CEPServiceManager.exe?
Regarding the "glitchy" issues you mention - this forum is for Adobe Exchange, but if you can provide a bit more information about what is going wrong then we'll try to redirect your question to someone else who can help.

Is there a way to add additional users to an Adobe Exchange Producer account?

I've been developing extensions for Adobe Exchange since the Agora days, and would like to add one of my co-workers to the account so he can update/manage the extensions for my group as well. How can I go about getting him added to my Adobe Exchange Producer account?

The page will appear automatically to accomodate new icons.
You can add it manually by dragging an icon to a new page.
Go to the last page, hold an app icon until it wiggles, then drag it to the right edge of the screen and hold it there until the page turns.
You can also create folders by dragging icons on top of each other to help consolidate pages.

Adobe Exchange subscription?

I don't believe getting Confiurator 3 requires any payment of anything. But has anyone had any success with either registering for the Exchange or pursuing the benefits of a paid subscription there?

I'm using XP with Google Chrome, my Adobe Flash Player is 11,7,700,225. Do I need to keep a plug-in called "getPlusPlus for Adobe 162103 or should I delete it?
