Hi Subrat,
<b>Packing Process:</b>
Before creating the <b>packaging material</b> you have to go to:
IMG-Logistics Execution-Shipping -Packing.
1. <b>Define packaging material types</b>- it can be anything like boxes crates, etc. in this you have to maintain the output determination procedure, output type, plant determination, packaging material category, generate delivery items, number assignment. you can copy from standard also.
2. Then go to define <b>material group for packaging materials</b> - Here you maintain the four digit code and the description. Actually, this group is nothing but similar products which require similar packing products. For Ex. Nokia Phones all types they are basically packed first into a polythene bag. <b>So here nokia phones can become a material group for packaging materials and polythene bag can become the packaging material type which can include different sizes and types of polythene bags</b>.
3. Define <b>Allowed Packaging Materials</b> - Here you assign the shipping group for packaging materials to the packaging material type. This is related to your mterial master data of the packaging material which you create.
4. Now go to <b>MM01</b> to create a packaging material. use material type as <b>Packaging material</b> then inside the system will take the item category group as <b>VERP</b>. Then in the <b>Basic Data1</b> screen you have the material group for packaging material <b>(MGPM)</b>. Select the proper one. Now in the <b>Sales:General/ Plant</b> screen you have to maintain data regarding the packaging. The MGPM will be same as in the basic data 1 screen, then select the <b>packaging material type</b>, the <b>allowed pkg weight</b>, <b>allowed pkg volume</b>. This is important because if the <b>weight</b> of your finished item is 2 KG and in the allowed pkg weight you enter only 1.5 KG, then while you carry out the packing process in delivery, the system will give you error, <b>"packaging weight exceeded."</b> The assignment in the IMG creen for Define allowed packaging materials should be same as u mention in the material master. Then save your material master for packaging material.
5. <b>VA01</b> create the order, save it.
6. <b>VL01N</b> enter shipping point, go to edit - <b>pack</b>- you will face a screen with 2 parts. In the top part you select your <b>packaging material</b> in which you want to pack your finished item, enter the system will assign a number to that material. Now select the Material in the top part and the finished one in the lower part and click on the <b>Icon Pack</b>. Here one thing has to be taken care of. Suppose if you want to pack only one finished item in one packaging material, then in the lower part of the screen you have a field for partial quantity here you chnge it to 1. system will prompt quantity changed. now you select the material in the top part and the one in the lower part and click on the <b>PER PART. QTY ICON</b>. In this way the system will pack only one finished item in a single packaging material. Packing is done go back, select the picking and do the PGI. save the delivery and create the invoice.
This is basically the packing process. Hope this clarifies your doubts to some extent.
<b>Regarding your problem:</b>
Packing proposal comes into picture <b>only in case of automatic packing</b>.
IMG - logistics general - handling unit management - automatic packing.
<b>Check the following:</b>
1. Maintain parameters for packing instructions - T.code is OVHU2
2. Maintain number ranges for packing instructions - T.code is OPIN
3. IMG - logistics general - handling unit management - automatic packing - packing instructions master data - define check profile for packing status.
4. IMG - logistics general - handling unit management - automatic packing - packing instructions master data - define key for packing instructions determination.
Create characteristic combination for search key - OFP5
Change characteristic combination for search key - OFP6
Display characteristic combination for search key - OFP7
Permitted characteristics - OFP8
5. Define Access Sequence for Packing Instruction Determination - OFP2
6. Define Determination Type for Packing Instructions - OFP3
7. Define Procedure for Packing Instructions Determination - OFP4
8. Define Number Ranges for Packing Instruction Determination Records - OVHU3
9. Create packing instructions - POP1
10. Create determination records for packing instructions - POF1
Reward points if solution helps.

  • Refurbishment processing - problem while installing the equipment.

    Dear Experts,
    I am testing the refurbishment cycle, while doing this I am facing a problem.
    Process is as below:
    The equipment is damaged and needed replacement.
    I have created the material master and serial number.
    I have changed the valuation type of the damaged equipment to C3 using tcode IQ02 and dismantled the equipment using IE4N.
    After saving the above transaction I got notification, material document number for GR of the damaged equipment into warehouse under the valuation type C3.
    Now I am trying to install the equipment in replacement of the damaged equipment.
    I have created the reservation with movement type 201 and with reference to the reservation installing the equipment using IE4N with GI.
    I have entered the following data in IE4N installation:
    Material number,serial number which is under valuation type C1.
    Reservation number and line item number
    Top Functional location.
    While saving this transaction I am getting the following messages in application log:
    1. This is warning message
    Configuration- and validation check not possible
    Message no. CCMM049
    Diagnosis
    For a local configuration check the configuration and effectivity data of the top reference equipment (counterpart of  access node in the allowed configuration) is considered. However, the system cannot find a reference equipment for the assembly to be installed.
    System Response
    Configuration and effectivty data cannot be taken into account.
    2. This is Error message:
    No function identifier maintained. Configuration check not possible
    Message no. CCMM043
    I am not able to proceed further.
    I could not find an appropriate note also in OSS.
    If I am performing both the transactions separately i.e., Goods Issue against the reservation and changing the Functional Location in the Equipment master of the serial number, then it is happening correctly.
    But I want this to happen like Dismantle because both the transactions can be posted at the same time.
    Please help me out in solving this error.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Praveen.

    Hi thyagi,
    thanks for your reply.
    I have done the chages in OMPL1 earlier, and run the transaction successfully.
    For analysing this problem I went to  transaction CCM2, there in the Equipment GAP there is filed FID. This field is empty.
    Here if I am maintaing anything like the equipment number or functional location. The if I run the transaction IE4N there a new error message is coming as below:
    1. This is Error message
    FID  deviates from FID FCLT-UTY of previously installed object
    Message no. CCMM038
    2. This is Warning message:
    Function identifier FCLT-UTY of Structure Gap  will be used for configuration check
    Message no. CCMM037
    3. This is Warning message:
    Configuration- and validation check not possible
    But I want to understand this. Why it is behaving like this and more over I dont have iPPE inteface also.
    If I change the message type will there be any problem?
    Please clarify.
    Regards,
    Praveen.

  • Scan products by bar code during packing process

    Hello al SAP experts,
    During packing process in my company, for some products of  finish goods we would like to  scan them by bar code one by one ( like a point of sale in a super market) instead of scanning the material number and typing the quantity.
    Like in serial mode where you scan one by one we would like to do it also for non serial products- to scan the catalog number
    (or the EAN/UPC code) and the system will sum up the quantity according to the number of items scanned.
    Are you familiar with such an option?
    Viky Sloutsky

    Hi
    Scanning barcode at packing means, do you mean scanning the HU/carton? can you explain your requirement in little more detail?
    We do have the similar requirement & its happening through RF gun. Have barcode for the HU/Carton ready, scan that which creates carton> then pack the product>scan the carton for the SSCC number which gives assurance for the right SKU, qnty & process PGI further.
    Rgds
    Ramesh

  • Returnable packing process

    hai gurus,
    We have received the requirements from the user, regarding returnable packing process, For a kind information, it is different from normal returnable packing process from sap standard.
    1.     User want to track the inventory of the packing material (eg trolley) what goes out & what come in.
    2.     when delivery is done stock of the returnable material should be reduced and increased in customer a/c
    3.     while invoicing , for the regular material , price has to be calculated, where as packing material price should not be considered.
    4.     When trolley returnu2019s from customer , I have to take the material inside with reference to  invoice, but customer does not specify any details. so how can I take the material inside. Order should not be used to take the material inside. if incase of any damage also debit note will not be raised..
    Now, I have stucked up with the 4 th point, I have to take the material inside with reference to invoice. When the transaction is done, stock has to be deplicated from customer a/c and increased in inventory a/c. without using any specific order type tthis process has to carried out. Kindly suggest.

    AVCD on MAC: are there any processing problems using say, VLC?

    We've actually found that the Server 10.6.3 DVD does an amazingly smooth job of upgrading 10.5.8. We've been upgrading our production servers and nothing has gone wrong yet. Snow Leopard employs an archive and install method of upgrading which results in an install which is very close to a clean install. So it's been very convenient for us because our servers are used as Windows PDCs and it's a pain in the *** to have to re-join all PCs to the domain if we start from scratch.

    2nd problem: When I make JAVA_HOME= JDK1.3, wls does not run.

    Thanks Mike, you are right. The server was not running while I was testing

    And service pack is installed. Thanks
    WLAS5.1 does not run once I change JAVA_HOME TO "C:\jdk1.3.0_02", that

    Hello,

    When Servcie Pack 3 was applied, Client.exe stopped in

    Length was wrong when it was compared with IOR of Service Pack 2.
    Get IOR under JDK1.3 and Service Pack 3 and run WebLogic Server with Service

    Get IOR unser JDK1.3 and Service Pack 2 and run WebLogic Server with Service

    Under service pack 3, you need to regenerate the string representation

  • SharePoint NTLM web service from LC process problem

    Hello all,
    I'm struggling to get a LiveCycle process to update an internal SharePoint list via its NTLM Windows authenticated web service.
    As you can see from the above, the schema definition is loaded no problem, and I can select the operation I want to run.  I've used the "Test" tab to attempt to send a request to update the list:
    Attempting to test the web service call (in Workbench) gives errors in the UI along with the server.log all to do with authentication problems.  It's worth mentioning at this point that the "User name" and "Password" boxes on the Settings have been left blank in the screenshot.  I have tried all possible combinations here, and the error messages in the log differ for each scenario, demonstrated below:
    Error in UI for all:
    Various Server.log errors:
    Blank Username / Password
    Which made me think, "I'll add a test AD username / password" and see what happens..
    With Username / Password
    Of course, "I'll add the domain before the username" and try again...
    With Username / Password (DOMAIN\Username & Password) - (tried both fully qualified domain & shortened)
    But.. It's still asking for the DOMAIN?
    The solution for now:
    In the meantime, I've resorted to enabling BASIC authentication on the SharePoint site, which accepts the request and returns a response, but realistically we don't want to enable this for a production environment.  It also doesn't help explain what the underlying issue is with LC, or even if it's a LC issue at all!
    I eagerly await some experienced person to help with knowledge on the subject..
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Our issue may be unrelated, but you will probably encounter issues with some of SP's native web services.
    I am also trying to set up processes in LC that insert list items into sharepoint, however some of SP's services in lists.asmx dont seem to have a properly exposed wsdl. I am able to get list items to properly insert (see below), and our server is set up with basic auth right now (behind the firewall).
    Once you get the right creds. over basic, do you have any issues publishing content (specifically using updatelistitems)?

  • VMWare Integration Pack SOAP Problems when trying to Runbook Tester

    All,
    I am hoping somebody out there can give me some help and hopefully a resolution to my problem.
    For several weeks now, I have been successfully using the VMware Integration Pack in Orchestrator. However, as I tried to make my Runbook's more user friendly by replacing fields with variables I encountered a problem.
    When I now try to run my Runbook via the Runbook Tester when I start to step through I get the following error when I either try to step through the Clone Windows VM or left click on the Icon. (Actually this error occurs for all Integration Pack Objects).
    ---- THE ERROR BELOW ----
    Details:
    Required parameter password is missing
    while parsing call information for method Login at line 1, column 218
    while parsing SOAP body at line 1, column 207
    while parsing SOAP envelope at line 1, column 38
    while parsing HTTP request for method login an object of type vim.SessionManager at line 1, column 0
    Exception: IntegrationPackException Target site: ServiceBase.Design
    Stack trace at
    Microsoft.SystemCenter.Orchestrator.VIQIK.ServiceBase.Design(IActivityDesigner designer)
    ---- End Of Error--------------
    So steps to resolve this issue so far.
    1-  Remove and redeploy IP Pack
    2 - Remove Orchestrator Database and Redeploy Database
    3 - Uninstall and re-install Orchestrator
    4 - Restart Servers
    The problem is that when you actually look at the property pages in the Runbook Designer  it talks correctly to the VSphere Server, and you can alter them, but it still won't run.
    The firewall is off, and the VI Client talks to the VCentre server.
    And I have looked in the Runbook Tester logs but it doesn't seem to show any errors.
    So can anybody shine a light on where to look for the problem or how to debug it.
    Cheers
    Alixx

    Hi Frank,
    you should be able to use Variables and Published Data in the Integration Pack for VMWare vSphere.
    If you use a Variable or Published Data in the connection setting you experience an error while designing the Runbook. Use here the Name (one Name) of the connection setting you specified for  VMWare vSphere.
    Make sure, you use the up-to-date version of this IP, until today:

  • Pacman & yaourt/packer library problems? (specific: amarok and x265)

    (Sorry for the [RET])
    Hello,
    First the error:
    amarok: error while loading shared libraries: libx265.so.21: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    There is /usr/lib/libx265.so, so.1.1 and so.25
    pkgfile says that the owner is extra/x265.
    I went to ARM and download the package x265 from July (who has libx265.so.21) and then, the error is related to qdbus.
    I have completely upgraded everything (Syyu).
    If I go to other computer, I can see how amarok is working with libx265.so.21 (but it is true that has no the latest packages, just some of them like amarok).
    Question a) (question focused just in repairing amarok)
    How to solve this?
    - NOTE: Amarok is repaired (needed to compile from sources). But the question below is still open.
    Question b) (trying to understand the problem)
    It is possible that because I built ffmpeg-full (AUR) and it compiled many libraries, has something unsync with pacman and now pacman says: "hey, everything is up to date", but amarok complains, and it does not matter that I have rebuilt amarok and x265 but the problem persists?. I see (-Si) that amarok depends on ffmpeg.
    I would like to know how can I combine multiple libraries at the same time (like x265.so.21 and x265.so.25) but not manually (downloading, moving packages), like: pacman "--parallel-deps" amarok. And everything is done (maybe this is too easy).

    Thank you for your ideas:
    a) Amarok is in the latest build (2.0.8-3) (I did -Syyu to be sure when the problems started). -> Maybe is in this point where the maintainer of Amarok forgot/got busy.
    b) I have another PC with the same build version and different mirrors.
    Let's suppose the next:
    - State 0: I build from sources ffmpeg, that it builds x265 too. I got ffmpeg v2 and x265 v2 (let's suppose).
    - State 1: I do (-Syyu) and install from binaries amarok -> it needs ffmpeg and x265, but It finds in the system (although it a newer version than the amarok dependency). It installs correctly. I run it and I get problems because amarok (v5 for example) depends upon ffmpeg v1 and x265 v1.
    I think I get what you mean here. You build the source using a PKGBUILD, right? Now, as we are assuming things, let's assume that we are working with the actual archlinux repositories. If there are dependency conflicts in the repositories, this is something to report to the bugtracker as all software in there should work. So, amarok needing ffmpeg v1 while only v2 is in the repository is something that the maintainer needs to look into.
    In short: What you describe is not supposed to happen in the actual arch repositories.
    Now, if we add in the AUR things become different. With the aur we can get these rather annoying dependency conflicts. The usual way to resolve these is (using your example) to make a seperate package for ffmpeg and x265 version 1 (conveniently named ffmpeg1 and x265_1 for example). The next step is then to make amarok depend on these 2 packages. As mentioned before, for the official repos you can take a look at how things are done with python v3 and python v2. In the AUR there are also numerous examples of older software, like gcc.
    Zzipo wrote:I have seen previous times that when I do yaourt ----> It can fetch another package at the same time (like x265.so.21) and  x265.so.25 with pacman. I was just expecting some sort of good approach to deal with this problem.
    I assume that this means that they used the trick I just described. Also, the sentence makes me think that you maybe lack a bit of understanding about the workings of the AUR and the build process in general. Did you read the wiki pages about the AUR and makepkg before trying to use the AUR?

  • Java Packing Pixels Problem

    hi there im have problems packing a 3D array of pixels into a 1D array, in order to create a new bufferedImage, can any one explain where i am going wrong?
    here is my code, i will then explain the problem:
    threeDpix = new int[imgrows][imgcols][4];
              System.out.println("Entering 1st for in convert in imgRip2");
              for(int r= 0; r < imgrows; r++){ // first for loop begins
                   //System.out.println(" Null pointer coming here");
                   int[] tempRow = new int[imgcols]; // temp int array storing row data
                   for(int c = 0; c < imgcols; c++){ // 2nd for loop begins
                        int element = r * imgcols + c;
                        tempRow[c] = oneDPix[element]; // this puts a row of pixel data for a
                                                              // a given column.
                   } // 2nd for loop ens
              System.out.println("Entering 2nd for in convert in imgRip2");
              for(int c = 0; c < imgcols; c++){ // 3rd for loop
                   // this moves the data into the 3array
                   // alpha data
                   threeDpix[r][c][0] = (tempRow[c] >> 24 & 0xFF);
                   // red data
                   threeDpix[r][c][1] = (tempRow[c] >> 16 & 0xFF);
                   // green data
                   threeDpix[r][c][2] = (tempRow[c] >> 8 & 0xFF);
                   // blue data
                   threeDpix[r][c][3] = (tempRow[c] >> 0 & 0xFF);
                   }// end of 3rd loop
              }// end of first for loop
    // this is the way that the pixels are unpacked to a 3D arrayWhen i print out the values in the array the values are as expected, however when i pack them into a 1D array the value zero is output for every element can any one explain why? my code for re-packing is below:
    for(int r = 0, count = 0; r < imgrows; r++){ //1th for loop
                   for(int c = 0; c < imgcols; c++){//inner for
                        oneDPix[c] = ((threeDpix[r][c][0]<< 24) & 0xFF000000)
                                         |     ((threeDpix[r][c][1]<< 16) & 0x00FF0000)
                                         |     ((threeDpix[r][c][2]<< 8) & 0x0000FF00)
                                         |     ((threeDpix[r][c][3]) & 0x00FF0000);
                        count++;
                   }//end of inner for
              }// end 1th loopWhen i try to use this array to recreate a new bufferedImage the value i get for the RGB values is -922624, which i assume is black as i am getting a black image when i create a png file using the following code:
    File file = new File ("rose2.png");
              try{
            FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(file);
              ImageIO.write(image, "png", out);
              }catch(IOException e){
                   System.out.println("Could not write to file - ERROR");
              }any assistance is greatly appreciated, the project dealine is nearly here and i cant progress until i sort this problem out. Thanks

    This is a long shot, but I suspect your problem may be here:
    ((threeDpix[r][c][3]) & 0x00FF0000)
    You should be &ing with 0x000000FF, if I read the code correctly. If your machine reads pixel data in rgba format, the lowest byte stores alpha, and the image is rendered as fully transparent on a default black background.
    That, at least, would be my inexpert shot.

  • Strange processing problem... solution must be cool:)

    Hi,
    I've been having a problem with the libraries that are used within
    annotation processors. APs are easily compiled but when it comes
    to annotation processing I get a NoClassDefFoundError caused by the AnnotationProcessor for any annotation that is used (i.e. if I execute the getAnnotation(javax.ws.WebService.class) method).
    As I have debugging on I can see that the search path for classes is correct (there is a javaee.jar). The strange thing is that if I process my own annotations (i.e. @MyOwnWebService) which are in the same directory as the APF and AP everything works fine...
    My apt ant task is as followin:
    <apt fork="true"
         verbose="true"
         debug="on"
         srcdir="${src.dir}"
         destdir="${build.dir}"
         factory="my.package.WebServiceAPF"
         factorypathref="factory.path"
         preprocessdir="${src.dir}">

    I am new to freemarker. i have no idea how should i put the freemarker.jar to CLASSPATH,
    I have a freemarker file freemarker-2.3.10 which is saved in home file.
    then i set the following in java.sh
    export JDK_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_08
    export PATH=$PATH:$JDK_HOME/bin
    export CLASSPATH=/home/freemarker-2.3.10/lib/freemarker.jar
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:/home/freemarker-2.3.10/lib
    and i write a simple Test.java souce code
    and I work under linux system. then i have no idea where to save the Test.java document, and how to compile the file

  • Dsee 6.2, idsconfig, vlv index processing problems

    Hey Folks,
    I ran into a problem where the idsconfig script failed on creating 4 vlvindex entries. I had to modify the script to allow me to troubleshoot the problem. I ended up fixing the problem manually, but I'm still not to sure why it happened to begin with. It seems like a race condition, but i could be dead wrong. I thought it might have been the way I answered the idsconfig questions but I went over it quite a bit. This post may be a bit long, but I want to provide enough information.
    - Solaris 10 08/07 fully patched (using smpatch) as of 1/10/2008
    - DSEE 6.2
    - idsconfig that comes bundled with Solaris 10 08/07
    - All this is being done inside a logical domain (ldom) on a T2000 using a file image as a disk
    The first thing I did was make the following modifications to the idsconfig script so it would not exit on error while adding vlv index entries, and also commented out the cleanup process so I could view the temp file created by idsconfig
    Original Code from the add_vlv_indexes() function:
             # Add the index.
             ${EVAL} "${LDAPMODIFY} -a ${LDAP_ARGS} -f ${TMPDIR}/vlv_index_${i} ${VERB}"
             if [ $? -ne 0 ]; then
                 ${ECHO} "  ERROR: Adding VLV index for ${i} failed!"
                 cleanup
                 exit 1
             fiSame code, after my modifications:
             # Add the index.
             ${EVAL} "${LDAPMODIFY} -a ${LDAP_ARGS} -f ${TMPDIR}/vlv_index_${i} ${VERB}"
             if [ $? -ne 0 ]; then
                 ${ECHO} "  ERROR: Adding VLV index for ${i} failed!"
                 #cleanup
                 #exit 1
             fiHere is the full output of the way I used idsconfig to configure the directory:

I have read blogs about others running this script on dsee 6.x successfully, so thinking its a bug doesn't seem right.
    If anyone wants me to test something or provide more info, i'd be happy to.
    Thanks for reading,

    Thanks for the response. Sorry about not including the logs. I should have. I have gathered the full logs during the time idsconfig was trying to add the vlvindex entries. I did see that there where a few err=32 codes on the ADD operations on the entries that I had to add manually.
    Here is one thing I did notice when I was adding the 4 entries manually. In each of the ldif files idsconfig creates, there are 2 entries as in the following example.
    dn: cn=example.edu_passwd_vlv_index,cn=example,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config
    objectClass: top
    objectClass: vlvSearch
    cn: example.edu_passwd_vlv_index
    vlvbase: ou=people,dc=example,dc=edu
    vlvscope: 1
    vlvfilter: (objectClass=posixAccount)
    aci: (target="ldap:///cn=example.edu_passwd_vlv_index,cn=example,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config")(targetattr="*")(version 3.0; acl "Config";allow(read,search,compare)userdn="ldap:///anyone";)
    dn: cn=example.edu.getpwent,cn=example.edu_passwd_vlv_index,cn=example,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config
    cn: example.edu.getpwent
    vlvSort: cn uid
    objectclass: top
    objectclass: vlvIndex After idsconfig was done running the entry with the dn of "dn: cn=example.edu_passwd_vlv_index,cn=example,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config" was created, but the "dn: cn=example.edu.getpwent,cn=example.edu_passwd_vlv_index,cn=example,cn=ldbm" was not created.
    This is weird because according to the logs (if i am reading them right) the add operation for the dn that was actually created seemed like it failed.
