Page count - how do you get it?

I'm using the Java API. How do I get the page count of a pdf? There is a method on the "FormsResult" object called getPagecount() but it does not work - always returns 1!! (BTW, I am using formsClient.renderPDFForm() - which returns the FormsResult)

That's what I suspected but did not pursue it as I wasn't sure it would help but now that you have validated my thinking I'll give it a shot.
One problem is that setting RenderAtClient = NO throws errors on the server (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/adobe/printSubmitter/service/OutputServiceImpl$4
at com.adobe.printSubmitter.service.OutputServiceImpl.transformPDFWithSMT(
OutputServiceImpl.java:477)
That's why I never had it set to "NO".

Pages v5 does not provide a user assignable word count variable. With some AppleScript, and a paste operation from the clipboard, you can have locale punctuated word count in this format: 7,803 — anywhere in your document. The following AppleScript works with Pages '09 v4.3 through Pages v5.5.2 on Yosemite.
I would suggest that you copy paste the following AppleScript into your [Apple] Script Editor and save it (suggestion) wordcnt.applescript. Then, follow this with an option+Save As… and this time set the File format to Script Bundle, or Application with hidden extension — saved to your Desktop. Provided you have a Pages document open, you are then a double-click from the ability to paste your current word count into Pages.
Note: If you have Pages word count display enabled, it will automatically count your pasted value as another word which initially may deceive on true word count at the time the script was run.

You should find this information on the configuration page. To print a configuration page, press and hold the green GO button until all of the lights cycle, approximately five seconds, then release the button. The Configuration Page will print.

I struggled with this one as well, as i'm finishing up a PhD thesis and word counts are incredibly important. Through trial and error i found out that words like 'e.g.' and 'i.e.' count as two words and an ampersand (&) doesn't count at all. That being said, i didn't like the fact that the word count always included footnotes and i was dismayed that i couldn't get an accurate count of words in the main body of my text. That all disappeared yesterday when, by chance, while i was copying a completed chapter and pasting it into my main document, i discovered that Pages can indeed give you an accurate word count excluding the footnotes! Here's all you need to do:
1. In pages 5.2, make sure that the Word Count function is first enabled by selecting View --> Show Word Count from the Pages Menu Bar. (If it's already enabled, it will read View --> Hide Word Count, so if that's what it says, then no need to do anything.)
2. Once enabled, check the Word count that's currently showing at the bottom of the page. That's the word count including your footnotes.
2. Now, place your cursor anywhere within the current document, then hit command+A (for Select All).
3. Viola! Your word count now shows the actual number of words within the body of the text only, excluding footnotes!

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You may have to create an Allow cookie exception for that server.
* Tools > Page Info > Permissions

I just bought the Apple iPad Air yesterday and I wanted to download a certain app from the app store. When it first opened it had a page come up over the apps with free apps that you could download to the iPad. I clicked on the not now button, thinking it would reappear after closing and re-opening the app store, but it did not. How do you get this back so that I can have the opportunity of checking the apps out?

When you eneter information into iTunes Producer for uploading, the info must match what is in the internal metadata. In this case, the book is called Mississippi, but in iTunes Producer it is spelled Misssissippi. There is an extra "s". This will cause an error.

Not sure what you are doing so I will attempt to answer your question. If have one question which can have multiple answers you have will recieve an array so you have to do getParameterValues("name") and move it into an array.
If you have multiple questions and only value will be selected do a getParameter("name") on each form element.

How can you get get two master pages to repeat in a document with one of them having numbering.

How can you get two master pages in Indesign to repeat when one of them has a numbering section and the back side is a common back. For example, Master A has numbering 001-500 and Master B is the common back for all 500 pages.

My guess is you either want to use a numbered list for the numbering, rather than a page number marker, or you want to make two files and print a single page file with the static text 500 times, then flip the stack and print the 500 page file.

If you are referring to a persona then a persona only covers the use interface part with the toolbars and not the browser part that shows the web pages.

You can create extra toolbars to get extra space via View > Toolbars > Customize<br />

How do you get iWeb not to reload my entire page content when clocking on internal links? Sometimes I just want to change one picture from one page to the next and want the remaining aspects of the site to stay as is so that your web browser essentially only loads one image and keeps the other stuff.
