Pages in Frame

I have created an application containing around 50 pages.
The first page has a Tree which serves like a menu for the whole application. The tree shows the names of the forms.
What I want is when a user clicks on the tree, the page should open on the right side of the tree (in some region etc).
Its just like Windows explorer in which there are two sections, left side serves like a menu and the right side shows the relevent contents.

You probably do not want to use actual frames to do this. Frames are HATED in the HTML world, which is why you don't see them on any web apps anymore. I would do this using a "List" and a template that allows you to unroll the hierarchical items.
You're probably going to need HTML and CSS to work with the templates, and you will certainly need these skills for other tasks, so you might as well learn them now.

Rounded/curved edge/corner in page window frame/box of SAPscript

Hello,
Can anyone tell me whether SAP ECC6.0 has any functionality which allows a page window frame/box within a SAPscript form to have rounded/curved corners for the rectangular shape?.
I have reviewed various documentation and forum posts, sap notes etc. but none of them even bothered to mention or explain this. Other forum posts I have seen re this topic simply said it was not possible but I hope for a more explanatory answer than that.
It wouldn't appear to be a big ask for a form to have boxes of different shapes rather than just hard straight lines and edges but perhaps SAP have some reasoning for it which I've not seen.
Appreciate if someone out there can elaborate about this and what alternatives there would be, for example could we upload a graphic of a rounded edge box and then place text over that?.

Thanks but my question is applicable for Smartforms too. I know SAPscript is OLD and new forms should be developed with Smartforms but at the moment we are tweaking some exisitng SAPscripts and when time permits at a future point we will move to Smartforms.
To other people out there, do you know if there is functionality in either SAPscript or Smartforms to apply Rounded/curved edges/corners in page window frames/boxes?.

Firefox 4 is not saving pages (using frames) I visit in the history list, but Firefox 3 does. What could be wrong (may be related to no-cache)?

When using FF 3, I can go back through the history using the arrows on the toolbar. When using FF4, I can't. This applies to an internal site where the page uses frames and the header pragma "no-cache". This also happens in safe mode.

So, give a bit more detail about your problem: for a start, on which of your machines is this happening? Have you tried disconnecting any USB devices except for mouse and keyboard? In fact, give a lot more detail

How to load jsp page in Frame?

I have tried to make an Application which is a very simple Messenger made by java.awt.Frame
and had problem to load/open jsp page.
Is there any way to load/open jsp page in Frame When an event occured?
It makes me crasy these days.

I think we need more info than that.
Why do u want to open JSP in a Frame? do u want to open it with all the JSP code still there (for editing), or do u just want to display the HTML which is created after executing the JSP.
You will need Tomcat or JRun or another servlet/JSP engine to execute a JSP. do u have it installed? and the fact that u have win2000 and sql server 2000 doesnt really shed any light on your problem and what u r trying to acheive.
Post more info and hopefully we'll be able to help u better.

Contribute 2 isn't editing Dreamweaver templage page with frames

Help please.
I'm trying to use Contribute 2 to edit a website I created with a Dreamweaver CSS template. When I loaded Contribute, it let me edit the first time I tried. Now I'm getting an error message saying the page has frames and I can't edit it because I don't have permission or someone else is using it. I'm the only user, I created the site and made myself Administrator on Contribute and another user isn't currently editing the page. There are "lock" icons next to the frame list and they all appear to be the google ads I placed on the home page.
I really want to use Contribute to edit the website when I'm only adding text.
Any help and advise is appreciated how I can get Contribute to work. I don't know why it worked the first time and never again.

Our webpage used to display perfectly in Firefox now it doesn't. When I view page source the following appears among the HTML: <pre><nowiki><p>This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them.</p> </nowiki></pre>
Our webpage displays perfectly in IE 8.0

You only get the "This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them." text if either frames are disabled or you use a browser that doesn't support frames (the text is in a <noframes> </noframes> block). Firefox would display this text under normal conditions.
Note that the Menu object is IE only and doesn't work in Firefox.<br />
See the Browser Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+J) for errors.<br />
The page source also shows red code for the map tag (start tag "map" seen in "table").<br />
A lot of images seem to be missing or aren't loaded because of script errors.

ASP pages in frames

Dreamweaver 8
I have created some asp pages.
The first page chescks user names & passwords
The main page pulls data from the data base
Another link add a record.
Another for chat / news etc
These are all seperate asp pages.
I now need to present all this information in a better form.
Can I put asp pages within frames? or is there a better way
of doing this.
ie down the left hand side will be the links to the asp pages
eg add / news/
chat
then on click pull the asp into the centre page.

Removing scrollbars on the JSP page of frames created by included JSP files

Hi All,
In the iternet sales B2B application which we are developing, has a blank JSP file. Wherein we are adding other JSP files on it, loading trough JS.
When we are adding it is making the various jsp files in the form of the frames, and each frame has different JSP page. So it is adding scrollbars on each frame if the size of the page exceeds the size of frame.
we don't want the scrollbars. Kindly suggest to remove these scrollbars, and all the pages should look as a single JSP page.

Creating a static page navigation frame, that only scrolls content?

I need help, please.
I am trying to create a new site. On each page,I want the top navigation bar and the bottom navigation bar (and in an ideal case scenario a left side bar)to be static. I never want the actual 'bars' to disappear when somebody scrolls the page. I only want the actual content (text w images etc.) to scroll. In other words: I would like there to be a static C frame of sorts - and only the "stuff" in the middle 'moves' or can get scrolled. (Sorry about my non-technical terms - but thats the only way I can best explain it).
Can anybody tell me how I could create that effect with iWeb?

There are many way to do that. I have two ways of doing it, both are javascript:
1) having nav bar and side bar move as you scroll on your page. example:

Loading new pages into frames

This might seem like a redundant question but it would seem
there is some confusion surrounding it.
I say this because I can't seem to get an answer.
I have a site that uses a page with a frame and a swf control
( just a swf with buttons that load the new pages into the frame.
click on photos and it loads the photos.html page into that frame
and so on. )
I won't work in IE just displays errors. Is there a work
around?
Is there a better way to do this that would just entail
building a new nav control?
Any help would be great!!! please bear in mind it must work
in IE, FF & SAFARI

I suspect that is caused by the Web forum, not the iPhone.

Judging from his previous posts on the subject, I don't think
you
misinterpreted him at all. He has often posted a
comprehensive article
on the disadvantages of using Flash navigation and many

discourage it as well.
And you would be hard pressed to find anybody anywhere
encouraging
the use of frames in any but the most limited cases these
days.
I can see where you might want to use a frame here, but since

to be an all Flash site, why not use Flash's built-in
features to load
other movies. I think that would be loadMovie().

Were you able to see Alan's first reply? He may have guessed
what the
problem is.
If that doesn't do it, I suspect you might have better luck
in one
of the Flash forums. There may be more people in there
accustomed to
creating Flash-only sites.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but FWIW, one or more
of the
"pages" seems to link to a broken "Untitled_Document.flv"
file.

Another web page in frame

I have a frameset with just a topframe & mainframe. Is
there a way to have another web address (home page) automatically
open in the mainframe without having to click on a link. I have my
information in the topframe and want another web address to open in
the mainframe when my page (frameset page) opens. Thanks!

Source that frame to the external site you want to appear
there. Be aware
of the following -
1. You will get the entire home page in that frame, including
its
navigation
2. You will get this provided the other site hasn't blocked
you from doing
this (which sometimes happens)
3. Frames suck large boulders. You will need to rethink your
layout plan
if you don't want to inherit many problems both for yourself
and your
visitors.

Saving a page with frames in it

I made a site that has frames to try and make it look better
but is there any way to save all of it as one page so i can upload
the page to a server online.

How do frames make a page look better?
Frames use separate pages, one for each frame and one for the
frameset. They
cannot be saved as a single page. You would just upload each
individual
page to the server, though. Why is that a problem?

How to split a html page without frames and display random questions

1) In my online examination application i need to display timer at the top of the page. even if the user
scrolls down the timer should be visible. is there any way to do this without frames.

3.6.6 won't load pages into frame - opens in new Tab - IE 8 works OK

I select the EYE DISEASE slide show and it takes me to a brand new window with a single tab that reads "Untitled". This happens anytime I click on a link that is supposed to take me to a different location or open any window. I've changed and played around with all settings in preference but nothing.
What are the right settings. I have had to do LIVE CHATS with my bank but when I click to CHAT, which usually opened a small popup window or when I click on Contact so that I can see that information, the same thing happens and it's getting quite frustrating.

Having trouble showing an Iview in a HTML page with frames format

Hi, I have a public webpage with 3 frames (top, navigation and content)
In the content part has to be showed a portal anonymous page.
I created the anonymous portal page that shows me a Webdynpro that I created, works fine. But when I put the link in the frame of the public webpage, is like the page entered in a loop and nothings is showed.
But if in the frame I put the direct Webdynpro link works fine but the Custom colors that I set in portal doesnt works (and this is important).
Any1 know how can I do to put an anonymous portal page inside a frame html without lossing the colors that I replace in the theme editor.
