Pages (latest ed) doesn't let me share documents through email anymore.

I updated to the the Mavericks when it was released and updated my copy of Pages along with it. Pages was working flawlessly until yesterday when it was having trouble connecting to my Mail (and hence my Gmail) account. This happened even though I checked the connection and the connection seemed perfectly normal. Earlier today when I went to share a doc through the "Send a Copy" tab and when I scrolled over this I was given two options. Share document through Messages or through AirDrop. The email option had completely vanished! I checked my Mail account's connection to Gmail and everything appeared normal. I disconnected the account and reconnected it to be safe and tried again. Still no "Mail" option. I then deleted my copy of Pages 2013, restarted my comp and redowloaded it. Still no "Mail' option! (I also scanned Pages with 2 different virus detection apps {VirusBarrier Express & ClamXav} and both didn't find a thing wrong with it. Also I ran DiskUtility & that also found nothing wrong.)

See About the new iWork for Mac: Features and compatibility. That is not one of the features they plan to restore in the next six months.
Send feedback. There are forms for Keynote and Numbers, as well.

    Are you speaking of pages or of tables ?
    I guess that you are speaking of tables and that yours is locked.

  • Pages won't share document via email

    Just an FYI: I just experienced the same problem with the Share feature in Pages that others, as long ago as 2011, were reporting: Pages won't initiate the Share via Email function if your document title has a slash (/) in the title. Replacing the / with a dash (or, apparently a space) solves the problem. I'm surprised Apple hasn't, yet, either corrected this issue or at least prominently reported which characters cannot be used in document titles, if you want to be able to use the Share via Email feature. (I should add that the Share via Export worked fine with the slash in the title.)

    Ok... so I'm an idiot: in Pages it works fine - I mistook the grayed out 'send via email' option for a normally clickable item, while it's just a header for the three (non-grayed-out) formats which you can send via email.
    The problem stands for Word for Mac though - I promise!

    Hi This is the first time I have used cloud as the file I wish to share is to large for regular e-mail.
    I have downloaded the file from my PC successfully but when I click the share button then select the email option a box comes up which just says Cannot Share This File.

  • Cannot share documents via email in Preview...why?

    I have osx Mountain Lion on my Macbook Pro, as does my wife on hers. One really neat feature in Preview is the ability to "share" via email any open document. My wife can do this, but on my system there is no email option when I click the share icon. Why so? I've checked every setting I can think of.

    Select your card in Contacts. Then select

    Start with the connection doctor, and see if that reports errors.

    The Share facility in Pages works just fine with normal OS X acceptible file names and content. As was previously mentioned, Apple has chosen to make the Pages Share menu categorical headings light grey. These headings, ”Send via Email,” and “Export,” are separators for the real items that immediately follow.
    I have a Pages document open in front of me. I want to send it as an e-mail attachment. I choose the Share menu, and decide that under ”Send Via Email,” that I want a PDF attachment. The only confirmation of success is that Apple Mail launches a composition window with the open Pages document attached as a PDF. If you are using a different Mail User Agent than Apple Mail, this behavior will not likely happen.
    In the Pages Help menu, there is a link to the Pages Users Guide. It is a useful read.

    It seems some kind of relay should be granted on my CAS servers or something like that but I am not sure of what should be added. I am just stuck as to what next step and where to start looking for the problem

    No, just wanted to share documents using the invitation by mail in sharepoint/onedrive. We can share the documents normally without the email notification. Sorry to mention that even the users who are Online cannot share documents in sharepoint/onedrive
    between themselves, so not between user on-premises and online users. For example a user selects a document in the library, click share and tick on by email, just gets an error

  • On my mac it doesn't let me bookmark some sites when i drag the icon over or click on bookmark this page. Is there a fix for this?

    When i drag a URL over to my bookmarks or click on bookmark this page (on a Mac BTW) it doesn't let me do it. Not even with the star. Like when i try to bookmark some cell phone forums and gamefaq boards it says "website did not supply identity information" and it doesn't even let me bookmark that page unless i go to a different part of the site. Is there any type of fix for this???

    Are you using the beta? it's not fully secure, so try using Firefox 3 instead. If you are already using Firefox 3, it seems like what Firefox is saying is correct- the site is not supplying identity information. So what you could do is go to that exact site, then click on the little golden lock at the very corner of the page. Then, enter the 'permissions' tab and allow everything. Exit, and then try bookmarking the page!

  • When making a new folder in the "Page Bookmarked" pop-up, it doesn't let me name the folder.

    Usually, when you bookmark a page, when choosing the drop-down menu next to the "folder" area, you can press "New Folder", and it create a new folder and let you name it.
    Now, it often does nothing when I press the button, and when it does make a new folder, it doesn't let me name it. I have to go to my bookmarks, right click it and go to properties, and then change the name from there. It's very annoying.
