Pairing transitions

Working with still images in Imovie '09, how do you insert two transitions between one pair of images? For example, fade to black followed by open circle. I used to be able to do this in the previous edition but can't figure it out in this one. Thanks.
CRB

I have experienced the same phenomenon. I found when reviewing the work (before sharing with the media browser) the more dynamic transitions wreak the more havoc on the movie. Once the movie is shared with the media browser, for me, it plays flawless in the application it was shared with (iDVD, iTunes, YouTube).
I did have one hiccup though. I shared a movie with YouTube. YouTube cut the audio because my movie included a copy-written song. I edited my movie with a new song, and in the re-edit, had a lot of bad transitions. When I re-shared with YouTube, the fixes were not made. I ended up scrapping the whole thing and starting from scratch. That one turned out good.

  • label tag: DW8 sometimes generates illegal XHTML 1.0/Transitional code

    Dreamweaver 8 sometimes generates XHTML 1.0/Transitional code
    that violates the DTD when using the <label> tag for adjacent
    radio buttons on a form.
    Consider the following example:
    1) Make a new HTML page using the XHTML 1.0/Transitional
    document type.
    2) Working in Design mode, insert a a new form element.
    3) With accessibility options turned on, insert a radio
    button. When the Input Tag Accessibility Attributes dialog appears,
    give the new button a label of "This is my label" and select the
    "Wrap..." style.
    4) Use the Property Inspector to assign a name and value of
    "choice1" to the new radio button.
    5) Using the arrow keys, position the cursor at the end of
    the new button's label text.
    6) Insert a second radio button there, and give it a label of
    "This is my second label."
    7) Use the Property Inspector to assign a name and value of
    "choice2" to the second radio button.
    Examine the resulting code. The code will be either valid or
    invalid, depending on exactly where the cursor was positioned in
    step 4. If you watch the Code window while you position the cursor
    in step 4, you will see that the cursor positions itself EITHER
    INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE FIRST BUTTON'S </label> TAG, DEPENDING
    ON which direction you were going when you positioned the cursor at
    the end of the prior button's label. If you were moving the cursor
    from left to right, the cursor will be placed WITHIN the first
    button's closing </label> tag; if you overshot the end of the
    prior label and then backed up, the cursor will be placed BEYOND
    the closing </label> tag. In the former case, each button
    will get a separate <label> tag pair. In the latter case,
    BOTH BUTTONS WILL BE CONTAINED WITHIN A SINGLE <label> TAG
    PAIR, as in the following (illegal) example:
    <!--THIS CODE IS INVALID ACCORDING TO XHTML
    1.0/TRANSITIONAL-->
    <label>
    <input name="choice1" type="radio" value="choice1" />
    This is my label
    <input name="choice2" type="radio" value="choice2" />
    This is my second label
    </label>
    This is INVALID XHTML 1.0/TRANSITIONAL. Specifically, the DTD
    specifies that "Each label must not contain more than ONE field" (
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/dtds.html).
    Here, Dreamweaver generates one label containing two fields. While
    IE6 and Opera 8.0 ignore the error and display it anyway, Firefox
    1.5 follows the DTD in this case and therefore cannot handle more
    than one radio button within a single label tag; the resulting form
    selects the first value no matter what the user clicks on.

    Max
    This is happening because in standards mode browsers are ignoring the height="70%" attribute on the table that is the first element of div.t13BodyMargin because (among other things) it's invalid XHTML. This is the kind of thing that happens when the built-in APEX themes &ndash; designed for quirks mode &ndash; are thrown into standards mode by specifying a DOCTYPE.
    You can remove that attribute from the template XHTML and try the following in your CSS:
      html, body {
      height: 100%;
    form#wwvFlowForm {
      position: relative;
      height: 100%;
      min-height: 100%;
    div.t13BodyMargin {
      padding-bottom: 2em;
    div.t13NewBottom {
      position: absolute;
      bottom: 0;
      width: 100%;
    }Note there was Re: Support for non-quirks HTML mode.
    If you're determined on going down the standards route, you should check your pages against a validator and fix any other invalid mark-up in the templates, but achieving 100% compliance is unlikely due to APEX engine-generated code you have no control over.
    However, if you have no real requirement for introducing the DOCTYPE declaration and are not prepared to pursue the additional effort in achieving near-compliance, it's pointless to do so as it will only introduce this kind of issue.

  • Transitions not working, help needed

    Hi,
    I updated to Snow Leopard and iLife 11 yesterday, my transitions on iMovie11 don't seem to be working, when I add them to the project they come up as a grey symbol with two small boxes overlapping each other. Anyone know what this is and how to fix?

  • How to automatically set transitions including overlap?

    I have a question about default transitions between video clips (and their associated audio tracks) in Premiere Elements 11.
    What I want to happen is that each pair of clips is overlapped through the transition (eg around 25 frames/1 second for PAL video which is my source) when new clips are added to the timeline - audio and video both. I do not want repeated frames.
    I cannot work out how to make this happen without manually dragging each of the clips along the timeline after they are added, one at a time.
    If I set defaults first and then add clips to the timeline, the transitions aren't applied automatically; when I then select all clips and apply the default transitions, I find that the clips still butt up against one another end to end, not overlapped, so there are repeated frames. I am a recent convert from a much older versions of Vegas Movie Studio where this behaviour was an easy default and am finding it frustrating trying to replicate what seems to me like an obvious requirement, so any pointers would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for this, ATR, your page explains the interaction between the trimming and transitions nicely.
    Unfortunately I think this might confirm that what I'm looking for is not available as a "set and forget" option in PE11.
    If I understand correctly I need something like the following workflow:
    - Trim the clip (each clip) manually - by zooming in and dragging the handle till I have taken a second off the first clip which takes a bit of trial and error (no autosnap to one second?), then zoom back out, go to the end of the following clip, zoom back in and do the same, and allow ripple to work its magic.
    - Select my one transition and drop it into place, then make a position selection (left, right or centre) from the dialog that pops up.
    - Then select an audio transition and drop it into place, and get frustrated with my inability to select 'centre' as only left or right are available to me. - correction, I've just discovered that *after* being able to select only left or right, I can then drag the audio transition where I originally wanted it on the timeline as yet another separate action.
    - Rinse and repeat for each of my clips in the timeline...
    - Then repeat all the above for all the projects I'm currently stepping through, all of which are essentially the same structure - I'm doing a one-off capture of a bunch of old MiniDV tapes before disposing of a camcorder.
    Am I right, or is there actually a "save this behaviour as the default" option that I simply haven't found yet? If so then I might end up dropping back to Vegas to simplify the clip handling as it does support this default transition arrangement.
    Thanks

  • Smooth transitions between menus without using DVDSPs built-in transitions?

    My project has two menus: a main menu and a chapter menu. When going from one menu to the other I would like to have the current menu fade out and the new menu fade in. When going from the end of the track or when using the remote menu button after getting to the track from the main menu I would like to have the main menu fade in (and the background for the chapter menu not appear). When using the remote menu button after getting to the track from the chapter menu I would like to have the chapter menu fade in (and the background for the main menu not appear).
    I am able to accomplish what I described above by using DVDSPs built-in transitions. However, I have been advised by Trai Forrester that DVDSPs built-in transitions can cause problems: http://www.dvdverification.com/public/155.cfm I have therefore modified my project to not use DVDSPs built-in transitions, but in order to have my project behave as I have described above I found it necessary to use two versions of the main menu and two versions of the chapter menu. One version of the main menu has a video file that fades in the background of the main menu, while the second version of the main menu has a video file that fades out the background of the chapter menu and then fades in the background of the main menu. (Similarly one version of the chapter menu has a video file that fades in the background of the chapter menu, while the second version of the chapter menu has a video file that fades out the background of the main menu and then fades in the background of the chapter menu.)
    My project behaves as desired using the two pairs of menu and does not use DVDSPs built-in transitions, so that pleases me. However, the almost-identical copies of the menus annoys me greatly. For an explanation of the programming principles that lead to my annoyance, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_duplication and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don%27trepeatyourself for elaboration.
    Is there a way to have just two menus instead of two pairs of menus and achieve what I described above without using DVDSPs built-in transitions?
    Looking forward to being surprised by a clever solution,
    John Link

    Since you have no audio or motion then try the jump to loop point script. Either way would be fine.
    I played around with that a little bit and it seems that to get all the fade-outs I'd like to have would require several scripts and keeping track of SPRM 7. I think that I am going to abandon all of the fade-outs but keep the fade-ins. I can do that with a single main menu and a single chapter menu and not use the built-in transitions or any scripts at all. The behavior looks good and I think the disc will be very safe.
    I agree, duplicating code is not good practice but remember your not writing code here - DVDSP is doing all this work under the hood for you.
    I may not be writing code but I am programming the DVD and the principle of non-duplication is violated by almost-identical menus.
    If you'd like check out a tool like My DVDEdit or AfterEdit
    http://www.mydvdedit.com/
    http://dvdafteredit.com/
    It allows you to see the "real" DVD Structure which tools like DVDSP or Encore hide to make things simple. You can even go through the abstraction layer line by line to see how that SPRM 7 is used (wish I knew why that Sony Player doesn't work for your project).
    Be sure to take a look at my report on the RDR-GX355: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1896575&tstart=0 That player also operates incorrectly on Concert for George: http://www.amazon.com/Concert-George-Andy-Fairweather-Low/dp/B0000CEB4V/ref=pdbbs_sr1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1233954620&sr=8-1
    Its not rocket science (especially for a programming like yourself) but remember authoring a disc in DVDSP vs a spec tool like Scenarist isn't even in the same ballpark - not even the same sport Last time I heard Scenarist is down to $6000 - it was $20K a couple years ago.
    That's a deal breaker! I'll be working with DVDSP in the foreseeable future.
    Also go here:
    http://www.dvd-replica.com/DVD/index.php
    it explains the spec in detail
    Thanks. I'll take a look.

  • Message Bridge Destination points to old IP, after failover with HA pair

    Hi
    Weblogic Version in use is 7.0sp7
    We have this Messaging Bridge configured, between two instances of Weblogic server (Each weblogic server exists on Different Weblogic domains)
    Both the weblogic servers run on the same machine.
    So we have configured the message bridge destination with localhost, instead of an IP or DNS name in it.. viz.
    t3://localhost:8001
    t3://localhost:8020 respectively
    where 8001 and 8020 are the listen ports of the respective weblogic servers.
    This machine is a HA pair, controlled by vcs cluster server.
    Which means when we failover from one node to another of the HA pair, the transition(which also involves the IP change from node A to node B) should be ideally transparent to weblogic.
    But when it comes to these messaging bridge destinations
    The Messaging bridge resolves the localhost in the Message Bridge destination to the old node IP, after the failover is done using vcs cluster server.
    To me it looks like weblogic is caching the IP details somewhere and probably reusing it, unaware of the fact that the IP of the machine has changed after the failover.
    I tried configuring the message bridge destination with addresses like t3://<DNSname>:8001 and 8020 respectively. But stiil it tries to connect to the IP of the old node only.
    I did come across this patch in Weblogic 7.0 sp5, which is pretty close to the issue that i am encountering..
    CR126201 In a multiple-server domain, if a Managed Server was rebooted to use a different address or port
    number, the JTA subsystem failed to update the address information. This would cause the
    following exception when the changed server was rebooted:
    javax.naming.CommunicationException. Root exception is
    java.net.ConnectException: t3://ip_address:port_number:
    Destination unreachable;
    nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection
    refused; No available router to destination
    Would really appreciate if someone can help with this issue.
    Regards
    Azad

    I'm not quite sure what the correct solution might be, but a possible work-around might be to hard-code the two addresses directly into the bridge URL. For example: t3://host:7010,host:7020. WebLogic will try each address in turn, starting from the first one until one succeeds or all fail.
    Another solution might be to configure an "external listen address" on each server. This is the address that "reconnectable" external clients (such as EJBs or a bridge ) will use for reconnect in place of the server's actual listen address.

  • Mounting 3 pairs of omron sensor E3X-F21 at 25mm intervals to measure time taken by moving object breaking beams and connecting to 6601 counter/timer card

    System is Windows ME Labview 6.1 6601 Counter/timer card. 3 pairs of Omron Photoelectric sensors E3X-F21 are mounted on a flat surface and as the object passes the first pair of sensors it starts timer1 and timer2.
    As the object passes the second pair of sensors it stops timer1 and as the object passes the third pair of sensors it stops timer2
    We have a known distance between the sensors so we are able to calculate the objects speed and position.
    We need a wiring diagram to connect the sensors to the 6601 card.

    I think I can describe a method that'll probably be simpler than the previous answer because it won't require any external logic circuitry.
    1. Configure two counters for "Two-Edge Separation" measurement, let's say counters 0 and 1.
    2. Wire Sensor 1's signal to both AUX-0 and AUX-1.
    3. Wire Sensor 2's signal to GATE-0.
    4. Wire Sensor 3's signal to GATE-1.
    5. Wire each sensors' 'ground' to the appropriate ground pins on your terminal block.
    6. Software configure both counters to use "max internal timebase" for a source -- 20 MHz for the 6601.
    You can specify the polarity of the transition you care about for both the AUX and the GATE signal, but I'll explain in terms of rising edges for both.
    Counter 0 will count time from Sensor 1's rising e
    dge until Sensor 2's rising edge. Counter 1 will count time from Sensor 1's rising edge until Sensor 3's rising edge. The count values will be in units of "# of 20 MHz cycles elapsed."
    You can probably get a decent starting point on the software using one of the shipped examples.

  • How to make two mono audio tracks into a stereo pair?

    My video clip, brought over into Premiere CS6 from Final Cut Pro 5, has the usual left and right audio tracks, but in Premiere they are not linked into a stereo pair. Thus the volume level has to be adjusted separately in each track.
    In Final Cut, I can quickly convert two independent audio tracks into a stero pair by selecting the tracks and then going to the menu Modify > Stereo Pair.  I can't figure out how to do this in Premiere.
    When two audio tracks are not linked, the volume level has to be adjusted separately in each track, which wastes time. But after two tracks are linked into a Stereo Pair in Final Cut, adjusting either track adjusts them both, together. That's what I want to do now in Premiere.
    So, how do I make two separate audio tracks into a linked Stereo Pair in Premiere?
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
    Tom77 wrote:
    I need to do in my videos that I either can't do in Premiere or that require involved workarounds like this, things that I can do instantly
    I used to think like you do. These aren't workarounds, per se. The issue is that Premiere Pro is a different program, so you have to approach some things slightly differently.
    Actually, Premiere Pro's audio capability is more like a DAW than Final Cut was, and more powerful too, so if you know that workflow it makes more sense. A lot of FCP people don't have training in programs like ProTools or Audition, so it's more difficult for folks like yourself (and me, too) to catch on. Once you learn it, though, you begin to see its power.
    Tom77 wrote:
    things that I can do instantly with the flick of a keyboard command in Final Cut, such as link and unlink audio tracks.
    In Premiere Pro CC, you can link and unlink audio and video tracks with a keyboard shortcut for "Linked Selection." You have to create it in your Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box, but it works just like the one in FCP. Make it Shift + L if you like.
    Tom77 wrote:
    Not to mention the fact that I can have as many projects open in Final Cut as I want, and copy and paste between them. Each open project becomes a tab on the timeline, and I can jump beween projects by just clicking on their tabs. I was shocked when I tried to open two projects in Premiere to find that it only allows one at a time to be open. That seems really primitive--
    Again, you can achieve what you want (copying and using items from other projects), you just have to go about it differently. All you do is navigate to the other project files in the Media Browser and import items that you need in this fashion. So, no, you don't have more than one project open at a time, but you got what you wanted, stuff from another projects in your current project. That works for me, anyway.
    Again, Premiere Pro is a different program. You can achieve the same goals, but sometimes have to go about it differently. Some things are faster, some slower. Some are easier to learn, some harder. Hopefully, you see my point.
    I need video generators to make arrows, circles, squares, etc. and transitions such as edge wipes and clock wipes to animate them, all to point out and emphasize things that I'm demonstrating and explaining in my videos. Premiere has no such generators, nor are there any third-party plug-ins available to add them, that I've been able to find.
    Do you know about the Titler? It has a lot of useful shapes. You can also create shapes in After Effects and Photoshop and import them. The shapes you make in those programs can look a lot better than the stock FCP effects.
    There are lots of third party effects, some that have generators. Check out Boris Continuum, FX Factory, CoreMelt, Film Impact, and more.
    There are pitifully few transitions in Premiere at all (the Mac version) compared to Final Cut.
    I'm really not a transitions person, and I find the FCP transitions looking tired anyway. The only one I really need is a white flash and I can either create it, or use a third party flash effect. If you need cool, modern transitions, check out Film Impact or the other third party plug in foundries I mentioned. There is an Edge Wipe transition, called "Wipe." If you need feathering, check out the Wipe Effect, which you can keyframe to look like a transition.
    More and more I would like to be moving completely into Premiere, but I keep running into these inadequacies in the program, these roadblocks, for my purposes at least.
    The more you work with it, the less you'll be working with FCP. That's what most people are saying anyway. Sure, there are minor annoyances associated with learning a new app, but you also take the good along with it. I suggest you just dive right in. It may take longer at first, but you can get your speed up in time.
    I have no doubt that sometime in the future Premiere will become everything that I want it to be, and at that time I can finally abandon Final Cut for good, as I wish I could do right now.
    I also came from FCP, taught FCP for nearly a decade, wrote a book about FCP, help start the first FCPUG, worked at Apple on two versions of FC Studio, so I do know what you are going through. Just keep at it and keep posting here. I'll be glad to help you with any workarounds or confusion related to moving over from FCP.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Using iMovie 09 with stereo pairs?

    Talking to the geniuses at the local Apple store, it seems clear that iMovie 09 saves Ken Burns pan/crops to the images, not as separate data. This makes it difficult to create identical moves on matching stereo pairs, as the camera pans and crops would have to be exactly the same for the right and left views of the pair.
    I'm thinking there's a work around for this limitation but I need to learn more about how iMovie saves its files.
    Consider the case where a transition and pan/crop is created for successive right view images, then this is exported as a Quicktime movie, then iMovie is closed. If it is possible in Finder (not in iMovie) to substitute the left view image source files for the right view image source files, using precisely the same file names, then when iMovie opens again it would not know the difference and could export a left view Quicktime movie.
    But I can't investigate this hypothesis because I can't find the source files that iMovie uses. Performing a swap out with the original files has no effect (at least, I saw no change in the thumbnails and the playback when using well marked test files. So are there hidden copies of the source files that iMovie uses? And if so, how do I locate these so I can swap them out?
    I hope I'm making myself clear here. When I explained what I was trying to do at the Apple store today, the geniuses required several reiterations before they got it, because my intent is so unconventional and they had no reference point. But they did get it, as far as using iMovie as it was designed to be used, and said, no, you can't do this with iMovie because swapping out images within the program removes any Ken Burns pan/crops you have set for them. And there is no way to numerically set these parameters so they are identical in a new movie to those in a different movie.
    I didn't ask them about a workaround that would fool iMovie when it is reopened into thinking it is using the same images, but I'm asking here. If I know how to locate those source image files, I can do the rest.
    Or am I completely missing something that should be obvious?
    (There's software for Windows called ProShow Gold that allows saving camera movements separately from images, and this is used for making stereoscopic slide shows with Ken Burns pan/crops. But I want to do this on a Mac.)
    Thanks.
    SMcQ

    Karsten,
    Thanks for that link! I think your arrows will point me in the right direction.
    In my effort, the images for stereo projection are placed side by side as a pair in a shared frame, 2800x1050 total resolution. Quicktime Pro can make these and show these, and also a free stereo avi editor called Stereo Movie Maker for Windows. For stereo 3D from start to finish, it is important to be cross platform proficient. Of course, the Mac can make this OS switch, but I'd like to see more stereo 3D options in Mac native software, because right now, there aren't any. Our projection software is a custom build by programmers at UC Davis and our projection system runs from an Intel Mac Pro feeding dual Hitachi projectors.
    I made a movie of a slide show with iPhoto, using 19th Century stereocard views, but wanted to take the presentation into Ken Burns territory with camera moves that are coordinated between the right and left views. I think iMovie 09 can do this with some, as you say, (ab)use. Hackers are the bleeding edge, right?
    Our stereo theater is at Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, Nevada, within the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center located on the Sierra Nevada College campus. The building is too new to see on Google Earth (or Google Earth imagery is too behind to show a building four years old).

  • Premiere Pro 2.0 and jerky transitions

    This is my first time attempting to edit HD video and it's really throwing me for a loop.  Basically, I made my video then exported to DVD.  The video looks great, but transitions are jerky, some with frames jumping all around.  To emphasise, this is RENDERED video.  It does the same thing either as exported video or after rendering the work area.  I have tried using various transitions or placing the video in different layers and fading using opacity and keyframes, both having the same results.  The problem appears to only happen when two videos are over one another.  If I just fade from say black, it's typically fine.  Another oddity is not all transitions are jerky.  Some are as smooth as can be!
    Video is from a pair of identical cameras both recording at 1080p encoded to MPEG4.  ffdshow is being used to load the videos.  The project is the default DV-Widescreen.  Premiere Pro 2.0 in Vista x64.  System specs are i7 920, 6GB RAM, 160GB/500GB drives, Geforce 9800GT.

    Read up on Handles. If one does not have adequate Handles in the Clips, the last frame is repeated as many times as is necessary, and the Transitions can appear very jerky.
    Also, as Jim points out, your Project Preset should match your footage. You can then alter your Export setting for your intended delivery scheme.

  • Is it possible or will it be possible for an MPR to be linked to Transitions in more than ONE Set?

    Hellos.
    Can it be arranged for a single MPR to be fired if a user Transitions out of Set A *AND* Transitions into Set B.
    In other words the Workflows associated with this MPR should be run *only* if user Was in Set A and is Now in Set B.
    Our customer is not unusual. He uses 3 status levels: Active, Passive, Suspended.
    There are then 3! possible changes. Initially they only wanted Notification (and other stuff done) when a User became Suspended or when a User no longer was suspended. This was easy. Just the one Set of Suspended people and 2 rules. Transition In and Transition
    out of it.
    However, the customer now wants to be Notified when a Person leaves the Passive state and becomes Active. However, He might move Passive to Active *OR* he might move Passive to Suspended. I thought of just creating a new Set of Passive people and having
    a pair of MPRs for Transition In and Transition Out of this.
    But. If he moves Passive -> Suspended. I get both Workflows running, one for change from Passive and another for becoming Terminated. I *guess* FIM kicks them off at same time and they run in parallel. I am also afraid they interfere with each other.
    What is best way to arrange a single Workflow to run and only run when user Leaves Set A and Joins Set B?

    In this case, I would re-think states here and create only Transition In notifications:
    -> Transition In: Status: ACTIVE
    -> Transition In: Status: PASSIVE
    -> Transition In: Status: SUSPENDED
    So it would not send double notification (leaving state A and entering state B). If you don't want such notification for newly created users, maybe think about request MPRs as Mark suggested? Then you can set different workflow (and notification) for each
    state changes.

  • Creating a cool effect/transition... how to do this?

    Trying to think how to do this without any special program like After Effects? It's a transition I suppose, between two shots... I've seen it done a lot to music or to add drama to the cut.
    Instead of just cutting straight from ShotA to ShotB, you flash ShotA and ShotB back and forth quickly, finally landing on ShotB. For example, the sequence would be like: ShotA ends - ShotB - ShotA - ShotB - ShotA - ShotB - ShotA - ShotB - ShotA - ShotB - ShotA - ShotB - ShotA - then finish on ShotB as it continues. Each flash might be a percentage of a second long, so the total transition time might total a second or two. Think of a DJ scraping a record back and forward to produce that hip-hop, rap sound.
    Obviously it can be done with major amounts of labor manually on the timeline, but I want to know how one easily can create this transition. If it's a pushbutton effect in some piece of software please direct me to the software I should consider which might already have this and other cool effects and transitions that are pre-made?
    Thanks!

    > Good reason to use the Razor Tool
    Right. Maybe it would be easiest to nest it as a muti-camera sequence first, razor, choose A or B.
    You could also...
    1.) place B on a track above A
    2.) create two opacity keyframes: one at 100%, one at 0%
    3.) Set the interpolation of the keyframes to "Hold"
    4.) Copy / paste the two keyframes at intervals to achieve your effect
    I think this option is best, as you can easily copy/paste the effect and apply it to other pairs of clips, like a transition.

  • Transitions Premiere 12

    In Premiere 12 I've made an "video" with about 100 stillfotoes. Is it possible to insert Transitions automaticly or shall I do it manually 100 times?

    Lightroom 4.3 Library
    If you want the same transition between each of the pairs, then you highlight/select all the photos at one time, and go to Expert workspace, Timeline Menu/Apply Default Transition.

  • FCP6 - Can't copy audio transitions anymore?

    When I upgraded to FCS2 all of a sudden I can no longer copy audio transitions from on edit to another using the option-click and drag method. This is very frustrating because I need to do this all the time.
    Am I missing some kind of setting or something new in FCP6?

    Yup, there are handles.
    I have a hot key setup that adds a 5frm crossfade to audio edits. So I'll click to highlight a audio edit, hit the hot key, and a trans is added to the edit. Usually there's not an issue because the A1 and A2 clips are a sterio pair and a crossfade is added to both clips, however, when the stereo pair is toggled off for the pair of clips clicking the edit only highlights one of the clips (usually A1). I then hit the key to add the trans and that's where I cannot option-click and copy the A1 trans to the A2 clips (which contains the exact same media as the A1 clip).
