Panel Dashboard Scroll Issue

I am using a Panel Dashboard layout to display totally 6 image components in two rows.Each row has three images. I also have two more components on the same page which are below the panel dashboard layout which refresh on clicking every image within the panel dashboard layout. Currently the UI is designed in such a way that at any given point of time the panel dashboard displays only one row and you need to scroll to see the other row.
Here is the issue :
Everytime I click any of the images on the first row of panel dashboard . All the other components below the panel dahsboard layout refresh fine and it looks good BUT when I scroll to the second row in the Panel dashboard layout, and then click on any of the images, the panel dashboard scrolls back and displays the first row instead of showing the active image on the second row. It means that the panel dashboard layout component doesnt remember the active area where the click happened and always goes back to the first row. Is there a way to retain the panel dashboard component from scrolling back to the first row everytime? or is there any other component which i can use instead of the panel dashboard layout.

I figured the solution. I just set the partialSubmit value on the commandImageLink component to true and now it just works fine. The issue had nothing to do with panelDashboard layout.

VBox scroll issue inside ModuleLoader (w/ screenshot of issue)

I've got a VBox that when scroll while the project is running as an Application it works perfectly. I then change the Application to a Module and load it into a parent app using ModuleLoader. Once I do that, the scroll no longer works correctly. Seen screenshot

Has anyone ran into something like this with ModuleLoader? The controls are nested like this (if it is of any help):

                                            HBoxes as children
It seems almost as those events in the loaded Module are getting confused with the rest of the application. I have tried several things to rememdy this.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I finally got it! I kept chopping code out the project until the MXML and AS were identical in both the working test case and the broken app. Still the problem occurred. I then compared project properties on both projects and modifed them until they were identical. Still the test case worked and the main app didn't.
Then I compared the HTML wrappers. That was were my problem was. The main app HTML wrapper had:
"wmode", "transparent",
in the call to AC_FL_RunContent().
I removed that and the scroll issue went away! I also added it to the working test app to double check, and sure enough, the scroll in the test app was now broken. This also explains why FullScreen mode worked, since the wrapper isn't used in fullscreen mode.
The brown back ground is no longer visible when the app runs, but I guess we will have to move that into the Flex app itself since the scroll takes priority.
I'm ecstatic.

Scrolling Issue with Yoga 3 Pro

Hi guys,
Got myself a yoga 3 pro and i really like it! It has got a few issues though... The one currently frustrating me the most is shown in the following video:
Scrolling Issue
Google Chrome somehow doesn't work well on this laptop. As you can see the UI renders in funny angles, then sometimes even stays like that after scrolling. But this mostly just happens while scrolling and then when the scrolling is complete, it renders fine again, particularly on longer webpages and PDF's. Also the scrolling itself is very laggy and sometimes not responsive, although this might also be the touchpad not reacting that well - I have to say i had a macbook pro before this and that touchpad is unbeatable (the rest is **bleep** hehe).
I couldnt reproduce the same issues on Internet Explorer (somehow no surprise, it being a windows thing and all). Firefox has laggy scrolling but almost no rendering issues of the same kind (when used heavily, it also happens though). When used heavily (high cpu usage) i even experienced this issue briefly in the windows explorer.
Now I'm not just here to complain, as I said before the laptop is great in general, just hoping there is a solution or awareness regarding the scrolling issue.

Haven't seen that on my Y3P, *but* I agree that the trackpad is just horrible compared with Mac trackpads, or even with the Logitech T650. As for Chrome, indeed it works OK with touch but not so great with the trackpad. In general, IE works better, looks nicer, and uses less power---but it's noticeably slower.

Problem with Drag and drop in panel dashboard

I am having problem with drag and drop in panel dashboard.
I will explain what i am doing.
I am using Oracle three column template in First region i am having a table that showing all customer.
I drag one record from my table and drop it on customer info (CIF) page on second region it is working fine.
my CIF page has a dashboard with 6 panel box. i am showing 6 different jsff in 6 panel box.
I put drop target in each jsff

You must be an Oracle employee as you're referring to a component in the upcoming JDeveloper version which has yet been released to the general public. Oracle employee's are, I believe, directed to post on internal Oracle forums.

Fatal1ty Champion Front Panel I/O Issue

'Fatalty Champion Front Panel I/O Issue I just purchased a Creative PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Series Sound Card. I have installed the card and front panel into my system with the latest drivers.
I am unable to get the front panel to work (the soundcard works fine). It has no lights, volume does not work and the mode selection does not work, in fact the only thing that works are my headphones. When I plug in my headphones my speakers mute and I get sound in my headphones. I have disconnected all connections and reconnected them ensure they are fully seated. I have reseated my card as well.

My system is extremely stable with no issues other than the new Sound Card. Here is the driver I used, Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Driver 2.7.0007. I have also tried the Product Identification Module Update.
Any suggestions?

someone else has spotted a scrolling issue on Safari, Preview of pdf files and every animation (from the dock to switching desktop)? what I mean: it seams like "twitching" and is very frustrating to deal with it.
is it possible to solve it?

I often see this because horizontal scrolling will move back and forward in a browser (like clicking the forward and/or back buttons). This often appears as twitchiness. Try to observe if this is the case when you experience this.

Spry Tabbed Panels - How do I force the active panel to scroll to top of browser?

I have some tabbed panels about 600px down a page. When one of the tabs is selected I would like the tabbed panels to scroll to the top of the browser window as per the function on this page: <http://www.godaddy.com/email/online-storage.aspx?ci=55860>

It appears to me as if this might work by an on-page link/anchor, because that is what happens when you click an on-page anchor link: the selection pops to the top of the screen. If that is it, it is not Spry, it is simple <a href...> code.
The problem is that there is also coding going on, with javascript, and links don't work as usual on tabs in Spry.
Perhaps this will bounce to the top and Gramps will check in with some words of wisdom regarding this question.

Sliding Panels - Problems Scrolling Horizontal in Safari

I have adjusted the CSS in order to make the Sliding Panels widget scroll horizontal using the float: left;
It is working fine in Firefox but no matter what I do it does not scroll horizontal in Safari, it continues to scroll verticle. It seems as if it is just not responding to the float in the style.
What am I doing wrong?

It works fine in my safari. Do the examples work in safari? (Example 2: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/slidingpanels/SlidingPanelsSample.html )
Did you also change the rest of the setting or just the float:left. As it needs width changes as well as seen in the example.

SSRS Reportmanage scroll issues

Hello,
I have developed the SSRS report using BID's and have deployed it to report server and when I try to view the report in the report manager it does not show the entire report and horizontal scroll bar appears even though there is lot of space in the browser
window.
I want to get rid of that scroll bar and view the entire report on the screen as you can see there is lot of space to the right of the screen yet.

Flex 3 and Mac os 10.6.3 Scrolling Issue

I am trying to understand why I am getting Scrolling vertically and horizontally on my VBox and HBox container even though I explicitly code it as verticalScrollPolicy="off" horizontalScrollPolicy="off". The funny thing is that it works correctly as I want on my Intel Boxes with various browsers to not show any scrolling, but as soon as I view it on the mac I get the scrolling issues.
Anyone know if they experienced this problem and any workarounds.

Not sure what's happening with your code, you'll have to post an example that shows this happening to you.
On OS X 10.6.4 and Flex 3.5, it works as it should.
I made this as an example and view source is enabled. I have two VBoxes, one with scrolling disabled and one with it enabled.

HELP - Library Left pane scroll issues ( when in grid view )

I've run into a issue that is really starting to piss me off and hinder my workflow!
When in Library mode grid view, I can't scroll left folder/publish service with my mouse scroll wheel. UNLESS I'm hovering over the scroll bar. If I'm hovering over a folder, I can't scroll ( VERY annoying )
now this is where it gets weird, when in loupe / thumbnail view, I can scroll the left pane fine with no issues. Also, scrolling the left or right pane in Develop mode with no issues as well.
Also, it seems like the when scrolling the right pane in Library view is a bit flakey ( it scrolls, but pauses at some places )
I've read THIS thread, but I dont have any of that type of software on my PC.
I've tried 3 different mice with no fix.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

@sjmphoto0300: I have a Dell XPS 15 502X laptop (running Win 7 Home) and had the same scrolling issue as you in LR 3.6 when in the Library module only (the Develop module sidebar scrolling works fine). I could not scroll using my touchpad on the left or right pane unless my cursor was directly over either thin grey scroll bar or on the actual sidebar headings (e.g. "Catalog," "Folders," or "Quick Develop"). Mousing over the latter would only enable me to scroll until the cursor was no longer over the heading which was pretty useless.
I have Synaptics TouchPad v7.4 installed. While I don't have an option in my Mouse properties to specify certain programs that don't scroll properly as mentioned in another post, I did find a solution that works for me!
I had to do TWO things to get scrolling in the sidebars working properly:
1) In this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3888114#3888114) it was mentioned that the Synaptics scrolling graphic that appears (see screenshot below) interferes with scrolling and the scrolling graphic can be disabled with a registry tweak and then restart the Synaptics applications (2) or reboot.
2) Right-click an empty spot on the desktop and go to Personalize > Change Mouse Pointers > Device Settings (Synaptics logo on tab) > Settings. Click on Scrolling on the left of the Synaptics Properties window > Scroll item under pointer. Click Enable.
That got sidebar scrolling working without having to keep the cursor hovering above the skinny scrollbars. It seems like the Synaptics software doesn't recognize what area is always scrollable in Lightroom when "Scroll selected item" is selected.
Hope this helps someone else out there.

Dynamically Populate a Panel Dashboard in a Fragment

I am working with a customized Panel Dashboard in a fragment (jsff). The user can customize the dashboard (re-order panel boxes, define number of columns, add/remove panel boxes, etc.) and our goal is to persist these customizations so they are available across different sessions. To achieve this, I created several database tables for these customizations and tied them to the user table. When the user opens the application, the dashboard fragment is the first fragment to display. I am loading the information from the database then constructing the Panel Dashboard. The dashboard starts out with a static set of Panel Boxes (as seen in main_dashboard.jsff below), then based on the data, I re-order them and set rendered equal to false for panel boxes which the user removed.
My problem is I need to do this before the page is rendered. To do this, I am calling the customization method from the constructor of my backing bean. The RichPanelDashboard which I bind the UI Component to is not yet available. I have tried several things which did not work, including:
- Adding the @PostConstruct annotation to my customization method.
- Pulling the component from the View Root: RichPanelDashboard mainDashboard = ( RichPanelDashboard )FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().findComponent( "mainDash" );
- Added a "preRenderComponent" event to the page: <f:event type="preRenderComponent" listener="#{main_dashboard.setupCustomDashboard}"/> (after a web search, it appears the f:event tag is not supported in ADF Fragments).
I've encountered this problem in the past with different UI Components. Most notably, I needed to populate a SelectOneListBox before the page is rendered. I solved the problem by adding a <f:selectItems> child to the <af:selectOneListBox> and setting the value of that tag to a List of SelectItems in my backing bean and populating that list on bean instantiation. Is there a similar option for a Panel Dashboard and a List of Panel Boxes? The thought of using an <af:forEach> tag had crossed my mind to populate the panel dashboard with panel boxes, but as you can see in my code below, I am already using <af:forEach> to dynamically populate the first panel box with command links. Unless there is a way to dynamically populate a panel dashboard with dynamically populated panel boxes in the fragment, I don't think the for each approach will work (there doesn't appear to be a way to dynamically populate the panel boxes with UI components in the backing bean either).
Sample code is below. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I did actually populate my panelDashboard with a forEach over a list of dashboard items.

All my panels are rendered as regions that are dynamically filled with single page task flows which are bound to the page containing the dashboard.
My DashboardItem class creates the RegionModel from the task flow binding

Scrolling issue:
As my finger reaches the bottom edge of the Synaptics Touch Pad, I lift finger to begin scrolling at top of touchpad again, but it will not scroll until I tap on the touchpad. Tapping was not necessary in the past to begin scrolling again. This occurs in one-finger and two-finger scrolling. It states the latest driver (15.3.29.0 from October 2011) is installed.
Maybe there is a conflict with Microsoft and Logitech software for the external mice. If so, this is the only conflict.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Panel Dashboard - Print Behaviour with Flash Charts

Hi All,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 and have a Panel Dashboard which contains a set of Dashboard Panels. Within these Dashboard panels I display Flash Charts. I have a user request to be able
to print this page out in a neat format.
I thought I could make use of the showPrintablePage functionality, but this doesnt seem to work when charts are rendered in a Flash Format.
At the moment the best workaround I can think for this is to add a check box to the Dashboard which is "Show as Images" which will reload the Dashboard and show each panel as a PNG. Users can then right click and save out images as they require.
Can anyone suggest a better workaround to this problem?

I get an odd looking page (page template is including) - I think the problem could be because I make use of the af:inlineFrame tag to call charts from another view project. I suspect content from an IFRAME is not getting rendered. I'm guessing there would be no workaround to this?
