im using jdev 11.1.2.3 version....
i have requirement on navigation ..
my use case is i have a table in first tab when ever i select user name in the column(luser name) the tab should navigated another tab...........

- have the showDetailItems referencing a managed bean in view scope.
- The managed bean exposes a boolean property (with its assoc. setter/getter methods). Say this property is "showTab1"
- The ShowDetailItems disclosure properties no reference this managed bean property as follows
Tab1: #{viewScope.beanName.showTab1}
Tab2: #{!viewScope.beanName.showTab1}
Next, you override the SelectionListener on the table. Ensure to invoke the default EL string (the one ADF configures for you). You can do this from a Method expression you invoke from Java. You then set the "showTab1" to false and PPR the af:panelTab component for the Tab2 to become active (disclosed)

In BI Answers while creating a request, for a logical column we can specify a javascript in Data Format contained in its properties. So that this column can change dynamically depends on the code..
I want this to implement drill downs dynamically as I didnt get it done from Administration Tool using Preferred Drill Path..

How to call a method on panel tabbed click.

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0.
I have a method written in the AppModuleImpl class. It calls a procedure from the database.
In my .jspx page, panel tabbed is used. When I am clicking the 2nd panel tab, I want the method to be executed.

so on click of that tab, use getSource to find which tab in your bean, and there get the application module from the context, and call the method in your app module.

Tabs without using panel tabbed

i have to create a page with multiple tabs on top of the page without using panel tabbed, since multiple users cannot work in panel tabbed.
i have created fragments for indivudual tabs.
included fragments in a bounded task flow. connected all fragments to wildcard control flow.
used a jsff with command menu items in top of the page in a pgl.
below this, i dropped task flow as region where i would like jsff to be displayed depending on command menu item selected on top.
specified command menu item action property as name of control flow case connecting wild card to individual jsffs used in page.
Navigation is not working from one to another jsff on clicking command menu item on top.
what is wrong with this approach.

it would be easier for multiple people to work on different page fragments as with panel tabbed it would be single jspx.
i m focusing on how to achieve navigation using fragments in a region and command menu items or command navigation items at the top.

Using Javascript to hide objects that have no "binding" tab?

I'm attempting to create a form that uses checkboxes to hide a variety of fields. I've run into a problem though; it seems that only text fields have a binding tab (unless I'm missing something). Is there a way for me to do show hides for images and text boxes? When I hold ctrl and hover over these items there is a small circle with a red line through it, which seems to express that it is impossible to manipulate them using javascript.
For the record, I'm using javascript as seen below:
BusinessDBAname.presence = "hidden";
If someone had any definite answers on this I'd really appreciate it.

sorry to say that, but this is a really bad form design.
There are a couple of things you can make it better.
1. Give unnamed subforms a suitable naming
2. Use subforms to organise your form
3. Don't embed fonts at all when you only use the default fonts Arial or Myriad Pro
4. Don't select the checkbox to embed images (they will get embedded always but this method requires more space)
5. Set option to prevent script changes in the form to automatically, otherwise the changes wont be saved
Ok, I suggest you to create a set of subforms to represent your Section 1 - 9.
In each subform you then add a subform for business and sole proprietor.
Into those subforms you then put the desired fields, images etc.
This allows you much shorter scriptings because you only have to change the presence of the surrounding subforms to show/hide an entire set of objects.
You form design finally should look something like this.

     Maserpage
     PayeeSetupRequest
          Section1
               Business
                    Textfield1
                    Textfield5
               SoleProprietor
                    Textfield1
                    Textfield3
          Section2

As you know, there is no OOTB method to meet your requirement.

The only way this might be possible is by using the HostContainer object
to access the HTML page and do it from there.

you can't add buttons to the tool panel using javascript, your only option is to create a plugin, you'll need C++ for that.

Cannot use the same page template in panel tabbed

Hi,
I have a panel tabbed with region in each tab. And all the jsff uses the same pageTemplate, but the jsff displays only a blank with no error . So I apply refresh condition on the Region thinking it might be the cause, initially the two region loaded successfully but when I switch back to the first tab it throws Exception

I suppose you want the "current" tab to be highlighted.
Take a look at Shared Components>Lists>List Entries>Create / Edit List Entry in section 'Current List Entry'.
There you can spezify for each of your entires when it should be current and therefore displaying in different style.

I am developing with ADF 11g.
I am using Panel tabbed component into a page and the 'ShowDetailItem' should be increased according to requirements, But I could just create three 'ShowDetailItems' in a page .jspx since it generates too much code. Is there any way to create multiple ShowDetailItems on a page (or to be displayed on a page) without generating too much code (because in these ShowDetailItems I handle lots of information and transactions)

No, what happens is this:
While adding more tabs to the panel, the code in the page .jspx increases which is logical, but hardly manageable, since that new requirements will add many more tabs quite content to the tabbed panel. What I want is not to generate too much code in my jspx page. How can I handle this?

Then in an unbounded task flow, I added the bounded task flow which is just created above. when I run this page, the page is loaded but the tabs doesn't switch. When I click on the other tabs, it doesnt change, it is always active only in the first tab.
Is this a bug in adf, or am I missing something?

I want a page fragment with tabbedPanel to be loaded in my dynamic region. As I am facing this issue, I tried very simple example of creating a page fragment with a tabbedPanel of 3 tabs.
1. added this page fragment in an bounded task flow.
2. In the unbounded task flow(adfc-config.xml) added a view with the some jspx page and then added the bounded task flow created above as a static region in this jspx page.
3. When I run this view, I can see the page loaded with all the tabs in the page frament.
4. By default the first tab is selected, but when I tried to click on the other tabs, there is no response. It still stays in the first tab only.
