Parallel processing in JAVA

Hello Everyone,
I want to connect multiple computers together. i want a functionality like one Main Processor are working as a server and others are working as a client processor.
So, 1. How to connect all processors together??
2. how to allocate a particular task to particular processors by main processor (Server). ??
Reply asap
Thanks,

Reply asapWhy? If you're in a hurry and you don't know anything about the issue, your project will definitely fail.

  • Java Proxy Generation not working - Support for Parallel Processing

    Hi Everyone,
    As per SAP Note 1230721 - Java Proxy Generation - Support for Parallel Processing, when we generate a java proxy from an interface we are supposed to get 2 archives (one for serial processing and another suffixed with "PARALLEL" for parallel processing of jaav proxies in JPR).
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1230721
    We are on the correct patch level as per the Note, however when we generate java proxy from the IR for an outbound interface, it genrates only 1 zip archive (whose name we ourselves provide in the craete new archive section). This does not enable the parallel processsing of the messages in JPR.
    Could you please help me in this issue, and guide as to how archives can be generated for parallel processing.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rosie Sasidharan.

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot for your reply, Prateek.
    I have already checked SAP Note 1142580 - "Java Proxy is not processing messages in parallel" where they ask to modify the ejb-jar.xml. However, on performing the change in ejb-jar.xml and while building the EAR, I get the following error:
    Error! The state of the source cache is INCONSISTENT for at least one of the request DCs. The build might produce incorrect results.
    Then, on going through the SAP Note 1142580 again, I realised that the SAP Note 1230721 also should be looked onto which will be needed for generating the Java proxy from Message Interfaces in IR for parallel processing.
    Kindly help me if any of you have worked on such a scenario.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Rosie Sasidharan.

  • Parallel processing of Jobs in Java

    Hi Sun forum Experts,
    we are facing a problem in parallel processing of jobs in java,The jdk version used is 1.4.
    Find the issue analysis as below
    Assume we have TABLE1 as below:
    1st job completed running and updates the status to OK by running an update query (so STATUS in TABLE1 is OK )---> 1st row
    2nd job is still running and is in IN (Status in Table) ---> 2nd row
    3rd job is still running and is in IN (Status in Table) ---> 3rd row
    4th job is still running and is in IN (Status in Table) ---> 4th row
    In the meanwhile, the First job has completed the job and hence  status is "OK" now. now we are calling another update query which updates another column in another table(TABLE2) in database.
    The query is " Update TABLE2 set STATUS="OK" where INIT_NO='123456789' AND NOT EXISTS(SELECT COUNT(*) FROM  TABLE1 WHERE STATUS in('IN','RE'))
    Hence the subquery is returning 3 rows as count for the inner query execution which skips the updation of the TABLE2.
    {code}
    *The problem is we want all the 4 jobs to be completed first with respect to TABLE1(running a update query)   & Once this is done we need to update another column in another table(TABLE2) in database.*
    i.e as shown below
    {code}
    public void execute(){
                 dao.updateTable1(); // calls Table1 and updates it to OK. --> This has to be performed for n number for jobs.Finish all job completion and then proceed below.
                //Once UpdateTable1 is completed ,after this we perform the below step
                dao.updateTable2(); //calls Table2 and updates it to OK
    {code}
    how do we handle this scenario in Java,
    Please Note:Version in java is used is 1.4 only

    yes sir,you are absolutely correct.
    We run 4 jobs to update table1, wait for them all to complete, then update table2   can you please tell me how do we achieve this in java,
    Please note:JDK version is 1.4 which we are using.
    Thanks

  • Parallel processing of GRC AC 5.3 SP13 Batch Risk Analysis

    Hello,
    i have a question regarding the parallel processing of Batch Risk Analysis background jobs.
    We have just implemented GRC AC 5.3 SP13 in one of our test-systems. The test-system currently has 6 Server-Nodes.
    When running the initial Full Sync. Batch Risk Analysis the background job only gets executed by one of the Background Job Worker-Threads in one of the Server-Nodes. All the other ID0 Background Job Worker-Threads in the remaining Server-nodes remain idle.
    Is there any special configuration in RAR needed in order to enable the parallel processing or is this dependent on the configuration of the Java-system itself ? If it's a system-configuration thing what configuration do I need to task the basis team to look into ?
    Regards,
    Benjamin

    Hello Stefan,
    we are currently on SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP13 (withouth the Patches). The changes we do in the webinterface for the two settings you have mentionened are not written to the database (execute select * from virsa_cc_config in the CC Debugger-Webinterface and look for IDs 250 and 251). This is a known bug.
    For parameter "Store WebService Input/Output parameters objects in database Yes/No?" there seems to be a workaround by inserting the setting into the table directly (SNOTE 1508611). Can you confirm that the entry with CNFGPARAM-ID=251 exists in the table in your system (with value NO)?
    For parameter "Use Net Weaver Logical Lock Yes/No?" there's the same issue. The workaround is described in SNOTE 1528592. Can you please confirm that theres an entry CNFGPARAM-ID=250 with value NO in your table ?
    If you confirm the two settings I will have our IT guys insert those entries into the DB table.
    P.S.: We are not planning to implement any Patches or SPs any time soon because we are doing the Ramp-up for SAP GRC 10.0. We want to check out the functionality in there first and not put too much effort into patching the "old" version right now.
    @Chris Chapman:
    I will have someone check the server logs for the errors that are described in the SNOTE you provided. Thanks for the help.

  • Parallel processing of files through threads

    Greetings for the day guys.
    How parallel processing of files achieved through threads in java ?
    scenario:
    let's say i have a folder containing 50 files in that. I want to create a thread pool of 10 size and each thread will pick the files one by one and process those files simultaneously.
    let me provide some hint to achieve this functionality ...
    Thanks, Good day.

    What have you tried so far? This isn't a free coding service.
    But don't imagine that processing files with 50 threads is going to be 50 times as fast as processing them with one thread. The disk isn't multi-threaded.

    I used the wait command after rfc call and it worked additionally I have used Message switch in Receive statement because RECIEVE statement was returing sy-subrc 2.

    Not sure what's going on here. Possibly a corrupt drive? Or the target drive is full?
    Try running the imagex command manually from a F8 cmd window (in WinPE)

    ok.
    In your main program you have a Logical Unit of Work (LUW), witch consists of an application transaction and is associated with a database transaction. Once you start a new task, your creating an independent LUW, with it's own database transaction.
    So if you do a commit or rollback in your function the effect is only on the records your processing in the function.
    There is a way to capture the event when this LUW concludes in the main LUW. That is the PERFORMING whatever ON END OF TASK. In there you can get the result of the function but you cannot commit or rollback the LUW from the function since it already have implicitly happened at the conclusion of the funtion. You can test it by correctly comment the code I've supplied.
    So, if you  want to rollback the LUW of the function you better do it inside it.
    I don't think it matches exactly your question, maybe it lead you on the right track. Give me more details if it doesn't.
    Hope it helps,
    Edgar

  • Image processing in JAVA

    I m working on an image processing project and I want to know how JAVA supports image processing. Does it have proper API's for image handling and etc... And also about the performance, as JAVA would be slow for high processing jobs.
    Any suggestions as to wat should be the best platform for working on it.

    Some good books on this topic:

  • Parallel Processing and Capacity Utilization

    Dear Guru's,
    We have following requirement.
    Workcenter A Capacity is 1000.   (Operations are similar)
    Workcenter B Capacity is 1500.   (Operations are similar)
    Workcenter C Capacity is 2000.   (Operations are similar)
    1) For Product A: Production Order Qty is 4500. Can we use all workcenter as a parallel processing through Routing.
    2) For Product B: Production Order Qty is 2500. Can we use only W/C A and B as a parallel processing through Routing.
    If yes, plz explain how?
    Regards,
    Rashid Masood

    May be you can create a virtual WC VWCA=ABC (connected with a hierarchy with transaction CR22) and another VWCB=A+B and route your products to each VWC

  • Parallel processing open items (FPO4P)

    Hello,
    I have a question about transaction FPO4p (parallel processing of open items).
    When saving the parameters the following message always appears : "Report cannot be evaluated in parallel". The information details tells that when you use a specific parallel processing object, you also need to use that field to sort on.
    I my case I use the object GPART for parallel processing (see tab technical settings). In the tab output control I selected a line layout which is sorted by business partner (GPART). Furthermore no selection options are used.
    Does anyone know why the transaction cannot save the parameters and shows the error message specified above. I really don't know what goes wrong.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards, Ramon.

    Hi,
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: /apps/oracle/DEV/inst/apps/DEV_hlt439erplap001/logs/appl/conc/out/o559655.out (No such file or directory)Most probably this file is not created (since no changes have been done recently, so definitely it is not a permission issue), and if there are any log files generate at the client side it should help in investigating the issue.
    Thanks,
    Hussein
