Parameter in Select of DB Adapter

Hi
We implement some services with the osb 10gR3.
For my specific service the target is an ms sql database (2005). Over jdeveloper I am defining the connection to the server and with the wizard a select statement. Now to my problem - how can I define my parameters??? With the ExpressionBuilder there is only a the possibility to work with EQUAL, GREATER THAN, LESS THAN... but I have in my where clause other requirements.
My simple SQL Select statement:
SELECT * FROM v_change
WHERE (CAST(ID AS INT) BETWEEN CAST(FROM_ID AS INT) AND CAST(TO_ID AS INT))
FROM_ID and TO_ID are parameters and therefore STRING types (can't see where to change in the wizard)
ID as it is an existing database ID is defined as char...
Can someone show me how to configure in jdeveloper with the wizard?
Is there a possibility to use the Custom SQL? How pass parameters with Custom SQL?

Thanks for your answer. As I am out of office for a week I can't try it for now.
Is this sign also valid when selecting in the wizard the "select" statement and defining the parameters over the wizard? Or is it only valid with custom sql? Where do I define the parameters in the wizard for this "Custom SQL" (xsd part when defining SQL)? Is there a documentation about passing parameters? I didn't find a documentation on the oracle side with advanced passing parameters.

Passing parameter from selection screen to corresponding report program.

I am developing a report in which there is a selection screen containing 2 list boxes having month 'from' and 'to' ;ie the month range for which the report is to be run and a parameter for year.below it i have 2 radio button options which will lead to the report that the user clicks on.
I have done the following in the code.
selection-screen begin of block b1 with frame title text-001.
parameters: month1(10) as listbox visible length 10 obligatory.
parameters: month2(10) as listbox visible length 10.
parameters: year(4) obligatory.
selection-screen : end of block b1.
selection-screen: begin of block b2 with frame title text-002.
parameters: rb1 radiobutton group g1,
                    rb2 radiobutton group g1.
selection-screen : end of block b2.
if rb1 = 'X'.
submit ZMIS1.
ENDIF.
if rb2 = 'X'.
submit ZMIS2.

Now i want the values selected in the listbox and the year to be passed in the report that will be selected in the radiobutton (ie ZMIS1 or ZMIS2) so that the corresponding report output will be displayed directly with the inputs given in the selection screen .

Parameter or select-option

hello all,
i have requierment in which i am confused.I have to declare a field in selection screen for user input. I have declared the field as parameter.But there is no multiple select option. And user ant to have multiple select option(.i.e interval range).
The problem is the field i have declared in parameter is type c.Like:: Enterprise(30) type c,
 divivsion(30) type c.
So this is not having any interval range.If i use select-option i can provide the range. SO plz help how can i define the parameter in select-option if its possible.
Most important thing is is there is no filed for refrence like: s_matnr for mara-matnr. as we can define in select-option.
Plz suggest some thing on this.

and setting : order:='a.order_number'; in after parameter form trigger.
lexical parameter intial value set to null
when i run this report , its not showing order number in output ,its showing null or a.order_number as text.
Please help.

What I do is as following....
I create two parameters...One for START and the other for END....Then, inside my FM I create a RANGE...
DATA: BEGIN OF r_datum OCCURS 1,
 sign(1),
 option(2),
 low TYPE vekp-vhilm,
 high TYPE vekp-vhilm,
 END OF r_datum.
Passing the START to low and END to high....

Here the &par1 and &par2 are calling a function like:

in the after parameter form. the function returns a number ( something like count(*) or max(sal) ).
Now the reports server (6i) generats error message:
inlalid column or miss expression.
What is the right way for this kind of report? Please help me.

Try debugging it in the same good old way.
What you have stated seems to have no problem
but you never know. So In the after param form see whether it is actually setting a value to your parameter.
If that is Ok I dont think you should have problems.
But there are two things which look odd here. since the Parameter value is not changing after the after param form why do you need it in the query?
Second If you are trying to display the departments thier emp count and max salary I think You can use straight selects than anyhting else.

Hi,
This report (and all generic reports which are based on the same library) looks on CCSS structure. This structure extracts data from totals tables. Therefore, it's not possible to add the parameter of purchase order, as it's a detail line attribute.

i had one problem, i created one report which will show customer advances, for this report i created one selection screen, i transport req to QAS and PRD it shows fine. after that i need to add one more check box to that report selection screen. i transport reqt to QAS and PRD, in QAS it is woking fine but in PRD i am not able to see the check box which i was enterd. transport was perfect. i am saw the report coding in PRD that has the Check box statement. but it not comming,
1, why the selection screen is not showing that check box parameter ?
2, i had 19 selection fields is their any restriction to display the selection screen ?

Hello Rajesh,
First check the Log of your TR. whether it is transported properly without any error or with error.
again delete your Checkbox statement and write code again then try to transport again.
there is no any limitation to provide option on selection screen. you can give as per your requirement.

How to set the tables parameter to a BAPI using adaptive RFC model

I have a BAPI ZBAPI that has a tables parameter ZPernr of type ZTable with two elements pernr and name.
I used adaptive RFC model and created model classes for the BAPI.
My question how do i set list of pernr and name to the tables parameter in the webdynpro for java.
I have the following methods available
ZBAPI input = new ZBAPI();
1.ZTable table = new ZTable();
table.setPernr(pernr);
table.setname(name);
input.addZPernr(table);
how do i set the table parameter for multiple pernr and name
2.
add all the pernr and name to list and set that list to input in the following way
input.setZPernr(list) and list of typecom.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core. AbstractList
out of two methods mentioned which one is correct.
