Parameter record - Months inv -1st BB

Hi All,
While creating a parameter record, we have a field called 'Months inv -1st BB'.
What does the value in this field say. I tried F1 help, it goes, "Number of months between invoicing and first BB amount". Can someone please explain this to me.

Hi,
First you need to know what is BB or Budget Billing Plan in SAP IS-U. For that refer the below link:

Now this particular setting defines after how many months the BB amount will be due after the last billing period.
For e.g. customer X has a BB plan and if you define 2 months in this settting and last billing period is 15.02.2011(invoice date) then this BB amount will be due after this many months.

Define Parameter Records for Portions
The parameter record controls the scheduling of a budget billing. In a parameter record you define how many budget billings are to occur between two periodic billings (the budget billing cycle). You must define all the budget billing cycles you wish to use in the portion here. For each budget billing cycle, specify the number of months between invoicing and the first budget billing, and specify the date of the printout or debit entry run of the budget billing.
This date signifies (1) the day the budget billing request is printed and (2) the day debit entry occurs when the budget billing request is transferred to financial accounting. This print/debit entry date is used as the baseline date for the terms of payment, in order to determine the budget billing due date in the budget billing plan. You maintain the terms of payment in the contract account.
Therefore, only the print/debit entry date can be specified in scheduling. It is not possible to specify the due date of the budget billing.
Example
Budget billing cycle:                                          1            2
Months between invoicing and first BB:           1            2
Day of printing/debit entry run:                         15.          21.
Two budget billing cycles have been defined: (a) has monthly budget billings and (b) has bimonthly budget billings.
The planned print/debit entry dates are defined as 15th (a) and 21st (b) of the relevant month:
a) 15.03, 15.04, 15.05, ...
b) 21.03, 21.05, 21.07, ...

Normally, only one general parameter record is required, in which all the company's possible budget billing cycles are defined

  • SSRS Date parameter - current month from SSAS cube

    I have a SSAS cube with a date dimension called Posting Period and now I would like to have my report parameter using this date dimension to show the current month.
    So far I have worked out the following expression which are working(Fiscal year calendar going from May to May) for the year component - but I can't figure out how to get it to work on Quarter date part (and the month) so as you can see
    the Quarter and month is hardcoded in the below expression:
    ="[PostingPeriod].[Posting Period].[Year].&[" + CStr(Year(Today())-1) + "].&[Q4].&[10]”
    Any help would be appriciated.

    In your scenario, you use the expression
    ="[PostingPeriod].[Posting Period].[Year].&[" + CStr(Year(Today())-1) + "].&[Q4].&[10]”
    to set the default value of the parameter and then use it in the MDX query, right?
    If in this case, you can use the expression below
    ="[PostingPeriod].[Posting Period].[Year].&[2013].&[Q" & DatePart(DateInterval.Quarter,today()) & "].&[10]”
    to set the value on Quarter date part.
    And it returns:
    If I have anything misunderstood, please point it out and elaborate the meaning of "but I can't figure out how to get it to work on Quarter date part (and the month) so as you can see the Quarter and month is hardcoded

  • Dynamic Parameter Record Limit

    I am using Crystal 2008 with universes as a data source with BOE XI 3.0 (Edge) Infoview and need to create parameter fields that return greater than 1,000 records.  I have seen suggestions about modifying the local workstation registry, and also found a reference to an earlier version of BOE (SAP Note 1199759) about modifying the LOV batch size for custom sorting.  The latter refers to a Web Intelligence setting, so I'm not sure if it affects parameters in Crystal Reports.
    Which is the correct method to resolve this issue my versions of Crystal and BOE?

       I have 2 parameters (material no, revision level). I have created a search help for revision level. It has an importing parameter :material no. and one exporting parameter : revision level.When I checked it, it's giving the revision values only for the specified.
    In my report , I have kept these 2 materials in my selection screen.For revision level , I have added the matchcode object which I have created. When I  pressed F4 for revision level, it's giving all the values irrespective of the material no. in the first parameter. How to solve it? Please suggest.

    Your problem follows the well-established pattern of using an "All" parameter filter in SSRS. There are a few approaches depending on the size of your data. The easiest one is to return all data from CAML and then filter it within SSRS, the following thread

  • How to display empty months when grouping records by month

    Guys, I've got a recordset that successfully displays all
    records in the
    table grouped according to the month that the record was
    created in.
    This allows me to display a Monthly tally (a bit like a
    barchart - where the
    height of the column is derived by the qty of records for
    that given month)
    for each of the months in the year so far. However, it dawned
    on me today
    that if there was no activity in a given month, the month
    simply doesn't
    appear at all, rather than displaying but showing "0" as I
    would prefer.
    For example, the type of thing I want to display onscreen is:
    Month 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
    But let's say there were no records inserted in months June
    to September
    (inclusive), what I'm actually getting onscreen is:
    Month 1 2 3 4 5 10 11 12
    But what I actually want to appear onscreen is:
    Month 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
    I hope that makes some kind of sense...
    I'm using Dreamweaver CS3, ASP/VBScript, and MySQL.

    I've simply got a table, within one cell of which is another

    I've applied a background colour and am specifying the height
    of the <td>
    cell as the qty of the number of records returned for Month 1

    year. Then I'm applying a repeat region to the <TD>
    cell containing the
    table that varies in height, in order to force the table to
    repeat
    horizontally according to the number of records (months)
    retrieved from the
    database.
    The code for the table is in the attached txt file.
    I appreciate your time in responding however you must have
    missed my
    comments about what I'm working in as I'm working in
    ASP/VBScript and
    haven't the first clue when it comes to PHP.
    I don't suppose you know or can point me in the direction of
    an ASP

    There is no date field avaliable in the source system.
    The Data load to BW will me Monthly frequency...I,e:Data will be loaded once in a Months on 1st of every month.
    My requirment is to Include a date field in BW transformations which input previous month/year data for every record
    How can i do that and wether do i need to write a start or field routine in transformations

    I have to load data from the previous month into the psa and then into an infocube. I was wondering as to how to get the last of the previous month to write a code in ABAP. I will be writing the code at the infopackage level in the data selection. I could load data from the 1st of the previous month to the 1st of the current month. This will be an additional load of 30,000 records for the 1st of every month, since I will be loading 30,000 records everyday, I was wondering if I could limit the load from the 1st of every previous month to the last day of that month. This will be a repetitive loading.

    Mind you this code will load data from 1st of the previous month to the 1st of current month. I just don't want to load that extra "1st day" of current month data as I have 30,000 records everyday.

    Is there a formula to get the last date of the previous month. That's all I need. This would solve the problem.

    OK, just found the account linked usage monitor, and can see what has been recorded month to date.
    Allowing for the fact it's a new tool, it would be nice to see previous months' data too, to assess trending vs. best service selection.
    I can't see a way of selecting a date range, say from when the tool started until today though - is this available elsewhere? I presume the data is captured somehow by BT for quarterly billing support.

    A number of "us" have already pointed this out. You can keep your own figures of course, say in a spreadsheet. The only problem is the silly fault with the system (not yet acknowledged) in that the figures for last day of the month (and hence the overall previous month's figures) are not available.
    The meter shows the usage up to midnight the previous day - but does not d this when the day is 1st of the month. At the beginning of November, the meter was reset and the figures for 31st October (and hence the whole month) were not available.
    The meter was supposed to go live at the beggining of October, but was delayed until 4th. It's possible that the flaw as seen above may have caused a problem and delayed the implementation.

    Simplest way would be to use a Command or view to return the count grouped by region,month and just report off that.
    Another way I think will work is:
    Group on Region (group 1) then Date (group 2).
    As you've only got two months of data, presumably restricted by the record selection formula, implicitely ordered by the grouping, in the group 1 header you'll be 'looking' at the 1st month's 1st record so use a formula to calculate and store the count for the 1st month:   count({table.x}, {table.date}, "monthly")
    In group 1's footer you'll be 'looking' at the 2nd month's last record; that month's count is also  count({table.x}, {table.date}, "monthly");Suppress the details etc., print these in group 1's footer and use to calculate the %change
    Of course, this assume that there's always data for both months, but it's not too tricky to account for this if necessary.

    I have a sub report which shows the detail information for that month when I click on Stacked column. In order to achieve this i have to pass a report parameter with month of created date(calculated field) on the click action of main report.
    This report parameter is not getting populated when i click on the respective stacked column because of which the sub report is failing.
    Any thoughts?

    Creating a subreport was never an issue, the issue was when I click on the stacked column the parameter (A) as per your screenshot was not getting populated, some times it just passes a null value.
    In my report below is the sample data and in Chart
    1. Series Aggregate is on Runningvalue of Revenue set to stage scope.
    2. CAtegory group is on Month of Created date
    3. Series group is on Stage
    4. Have a report filter for Year.
    Sub report parameter: Month which is passed when  I click on the stacked column.

    In the above screenshot When i click on Region A or Region C for Aug Column, the Month Parameter for subreport is always null. When I click on Region B , parameter is having the
    value as "Aug".

  • Issue with Custom data parameter in Excel Data Connection

    We are querying a OLAP (SSAS 2008) cube using Excel 2007 by creating a data connection to SSAS server with an extended parameter “Custom Data”. We are using custom data parameter to apply our application’s user security to filter dimension
    members in Excel’s pivot table report. We have created a pivot table in Excel and the excel is including this custom data parameter along with each request that excel is submitting to SSAS.
    However, when the user selects “Show Properties in Report” option for a dimension which is selected in Row-axis of pivot table, Excel is not including custom data parameter . Why this “Custom Data” parameter is not being included in
    the request only for this specific case?

    As the Custom Data parameter is missing in 1st request our application logic is throwing a custom exception to Excel and Excel is not able to understand the exception message. Excel is sending the same request repeatedly (going into infinite loop) and the excel
    window is freezed. Not able to work with excel until restarting the Excel.
    Can anyone help me to resolve the above? quick help is much appriciated!

    We have a very similar issue, but there is almost no material to help us. If this gets to you, please let me know if you progressed it or whether I need to go to Microsoft for a solution

  • Month-to-Date and Year-to-Date values in Query

    Hello experts,
    One of our BI reports has the following requirement: the user should be asked for the report date. After the user inputs the date, the report shows the key figures in three different "flavors": one is the values for that date, the second one is the cumulate values from the first day of the month of the report date to the report date itself, and the third is the cumulate values from the first day of the year of the report date to the report date itself.
      I created my report date variable based on 0CALDAY. Then I searched for SAP-exit variables that would help me achieve this, but could not really find any, except for 0P_ABO10, 0P_ABO11, 0P_ABO12 variables, all of them have as description "Start of Key Date Year". I tried creating a few selections in which the dates taken were defined as a range from each of these variables to the report date variable (for the year-to-date values), but I got the error "Variable 0P_ABO10 could not be substituted". I also got this error for the other two variables. And I could not find any SAP-exit variables like "Start of Key Date Month", in order to do the Month-to-Date part. My next try was to use the field "Key Date" with a variable in it, instead my own report date variable based on 0CALDAY, but it gave me the same errors.
    I searched the forums and found a few threads that looked useful, like
    First and Last day of month and
    1st day of month / 1st day of week variables
    However, they require some ABAP coding, and I do not know where to place the code (actually, I do not know where to work with ABAP code), and I also believe that I would have to do some changes to it.
    Any suggestions?

    You have to create customer exit in T_Code: CMOD
    1. Create a Z project
    2. Select RSR00001 as enhancement type.
    3. Go into include ZXRSRU01
    4. create a code like

    Try to write logic for your case taking this as example.
