Parameters from SQL command not available in Web Viewer

Hello,
I recently built a report using Crystal Reports 2008, and I'm using it with CR4E 2.0 SP1.  The report has had a SQL command inserted into it, instead of pulling in tables and taking the desired fields.  This was done to speed up rendering time.  The SQL command also has some parameters in it to adjust the date, etc.
When the report is viewed in CR4E under the web viewer, the parameters are not available to be changed.  They will appear at first for the initial settings, but cannot be changed afterward.  These parameters were set to "Editable" in CR2008.  In fact, other reports will work this way, but those reports don't use SQL commands as a datasource.  Is there another step I haven't completed?
Thanks so much for your help!

  • Nested query in FROM clause causes 'SQL Command not properly ended' error

                        FROM arsnd_jobs sj, (SELECT emailaddr from ARSND_JOB_EMAILS where job_id=sj.job_id AND ROW_NUM=1) as SJE, ARSND_JOB_QUEUE sjq,ARSND_JOB_RECIPIENTS sjr

                        ORDER BY sj.created
    I don't see anything wrong with the above query, it fails with 'SQL Command not properly ended'.
    If I remove the usage of the nested query in the FROM clause, then it doesn't give that error. Please advice what I'm doing wrong.

    Pls try
    SELECT sj.job_id AS job_id, 'STATUS_AWAITING_PREPARATION' AS job_status, sjr.email_sys_attach_filename AS attach_filename, sje.emailaddr as emailaddr_lastsentto
    FROM arsnd_jobs sj, (SELECT emailaddr from ARSND_JOB_EMAILS where job_id=sj.job_id AND ROW_NUM=1) SJE, ARSND_JOB_QUEUE sjq,ARSND_JOB_RECIPIENTS sjr
    WHERE sj.job_id=sjq.job_id and sj.job_id=sjr.job_id
    AND sjq.PROCESSING_STATE=0
    ORDER BY sj.created
    I have removed the 'as' clause you used for alias of the subquery. It should work fine now.....

    Hi drvijayy2k2 ,
    Thanks for replying.
    I used your code in my application and this is the problem i am facing now. The query is getting executed but its not taking the value from the database because of the Null Rev Id that is getting inputted into queryString. I have given only part_desc as the search criteria. If i just search using part description , commenting the rev_id part , i am able to retrieve the result from the database.
    I have to code in a way using which i can search using either rev_id or part_desc , or using both at the same time.
    Part Number In success:
    Rev Number In serchsuccess:
    part desc In seachsuccess: cat
    Keyword In sesuccess: ----

    Config In sesuccess: ----

    queryString in sesuccess: select * from PART
    queryString in sesuccess: select * from PART where REV_ID= '' and OBJ_DESC= 'cat'

    The first thing, is that for your own sanity you should learn to format your code for readability.  And for the sanity of those from whom you seek help, you should learn to preserve that formatting when you post to a forum:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE jiostore_new.auditReportCount(
        u_name IN VARCHAR2,
        stdate IN DATE,
        eddate IN DATE)
    IS
    BEGIN
      DECLARE
        Total NUMBER;
      BEGIN
        SELECT COUNT(am.id)
        INTO Total
        FROM auditMaster_ AS am
        INNER JOIN jioworld.deviceos_ dvos
        ON dvos.id              =am.deviceOs
        WHERE am.updatedBy      =u_name
        OR am.updatedBy          =ALL
        AND DATE(am.updatedDate)>=stdate
        OR  DATE(am.updatedDate) ='0000-00-00'
        AND DATE(am.updatedDate)<=eddate
        OR  DATE(am.updatedDate) ='0000-00-00';
        dbms_output.put_line('Total Count:' || Total);
      END;
    END;
    What is the data type of am.updateDate?  It appears to be a varchar being passed to a function named DATE to convert it to a DATEfor comparison to your input parameters,  But you also compare it to strings.
    Where are the variables 'u_name' and 'ALL'?  (and what kind of a name is that for a variable -- 'ALL'?)

  • CallableStatement error: SQL command not properly ended

    I am getting a strange error using CallableStatement and Oracle 7.3.4 with PL/SQL 2.3 using Classes12 JDBC driverset from Oracle. Here is the code we are using, which is almost verbatim from several Java/Oracle CallableStatement examples for Oracle 8. I am wondering what I am missing to make this work on Oracle 7 and am unable to find a reference online:
    //String query = "begin PAC.PAC_WIP_WIPHEADER_PKG.GetWipNumPartList(?,?); end;";
    String query = "{ call PAC.PAC_WIP_WIPHEADER_PKG.GETWIPNUMPARTLIST(?,?) } ";
    CallableStatement csth = Connection.prepareCall(query);
    csth.setString(1, wipNumber);
    csth.setInt(2, PacCarousel.getCarouselNumber());
    csth.execute();
    using either the Begin or the call query (Begin commented in above code snip) is returning the following error from the JDBC driver:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    This identical 'begin' query works fine in TOAD or the PL/SQL console for Oracle, but just won't work using this set of JDBC drivers.
    Has anyone run into this problem before or perhaps have some suggestions?

    Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks

    Thanks a lot to everyone. It helped me run the query without any problem. Now I have another issue. This may not be the right place to post this question, I think.My apologies for that. The problem is, Weblogic posts an error as follows:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected
    I am wondering if this is an Java related error or an SQL related error.
    Well, I am using the SQL Statement which you helped debug, and it is inside something called "XXSQLConstants.java consisting of the following SQL statement:
    public static final String XX_ALL_CAMPS_SELECT = "SELECT * FROM" +
         "(SELECT vc.campaign_number, vc.campaign_title, vc.campaign_desc, vc.start_date," +
         "vc.end_date, vc.campaign_type, vc.applicability, vc.campaign_priority" +
    "FROM vm_campaign vc" +
    "WHERE vc.applicability = 'Y'" +
    "AND vc.country_code = ? " +
    "AND vc.language_code = ? " +
    "AND vc.campaign_type = ? "+
    "AND SYSDATE BETWEEN vc.start_date AND vc.end_date" +
    "AND NOT EXISTS (" +
    "SELECT 'X'" +
    "FROM vm_campaign_vin vcv" +
    "WHERE (vcv.vin = ? " +
    "AND vcv.campaign_number = vc.campaign_number" +
    "))" +
         "UNION" +
         "SELECT vc.campaign_number, vc.campaign_title, vc.campaign_desc," +
         "vcv.start_date, vcv.end_date, vc.campaign_type, vc.applicability," +
    "vc.campaign_priority" +
    "FROM vm_campaign_vin vcv, vm_campaign vc" +
    "WHERE vcv.vin = ? " +
    "AND vcv.campaign_number = vc.campaign_number" +
    "AND vc.country_code = ? " +
    "AND vc.language_code = ? " +
    "AND vc.campaign_type IS NULL" +
    "AND SYSDATE BETWEEN vcv.start_date AND vcv.end_date" +
    "AND SYSDATE BETWEEN vc.start_date AND vc.end_date)";
    The SQl runs fine when tested (well, it does not return any data for the rows returned, but there are no errors), but in my application server I get the following error (pointing out the same SQL code pasted above:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected

  • Calibri font not available in WebI

    Hello All,
    We are on BO XI R3. We have been using Calibri Font for all our reports built on DeskI. The same font is not available in WebI. Will it be possible for me to add this font in WebI and if yes, please let me know the procedure to do so.
    Thanks in advance
    Vignesh

    hi,
    Please login to BO Server and navigate to the below folder
    Control Panel -> Fonts ->
    Now verify if Calibri related fonts are available. If not, you can install the below  font files from internet.
    CALIBRI.TTF    for Calibri (TrueType)
    CALIBRIB.TTF    for Calibri Bold(TrueType)
    CALIBRIZ.TTF    for Calibri Bold Italic(TrueType)
    CALIBRII.TTF    for Calibri Italic(TrueType)
    Modify the following 2 files by adding tags for this new font.
    1.fontalias.xml
    2. i18n.xml file
    Now, you should be able to see the new font in WEBI.
    Regards,

    Tried to perform simple query without any parameters.
    Got the following error message:

    kodo.util.DataStoreException: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    What have I missed here? I did not have this problem when I left only one
    table in the schema, having removed the others.
    Does anybody has any ideas regarding this issue? Do you want me to post
    any additional information?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Patrick,
    Thank you for your reply.
    The problem I experienced magically dissappeared. I used actually
    different database servers and they probably differ in something. I am not
    able to repro it again.
    Please, forgive me for bothering you. I'll update this issue if I succeed
    to reproduce the problem again.
    Thank you,
    Anton

  • Command NOT Available

    I have created a set of actions for watermarking that works great - one image at a time. If I try to batch process...each step comes up "command not available" What am I doing wrong?

    I am taking the following steps. The crazy thing is that it worked perfectly the first time I did an individual file and perfectly the first time I did a batch. Now it will only work on one file at a time. I have been working on this for hours. Hope I am helpable!
    Creating the Action
    1. Create a folder on your desktop and name it Images to Watermark. Place copies of two or three images in the folder.
    2. Create a second folder and name it Watermarked images.
    3. Open one of the photos from the Images to Watermark folder.
    4. Go to the Action Palette (Window > Actions) and select the Default Action Set.
    5. Click the Create New Action at the bottom of the palette.
    6. Give the action the name Watermarking and click Record.
    7. Go to the File Menu and choose Place. When the Place dialog opens, choose the watermark.psd that you saved when you created the watermark. Press Enter and the transparent watermark will be centered in the middle of your image.
    8. Flatten the image.
    9. Save the photo by choosing File > Save As and select JPEG format. Save the watermarked image in the second folder you made named Watermarked Images

    Your SELECT syntax is messed up. The INTO should follow the SELECT. Is this what you are trying to do:
    DECLARE
      V_ENAME     EMP.ENAME%TYPE;
      V_SAL       EMP.SAL%TYPE;
      V_RANK      INTEGER (2);
    BEGIN
      V_RANK := &RN;
      select ENAME,
             SAL,
             RNK
        into V_ENAME,
             V_SAL,
             V_RANK
        from (select ENAME,
                     SAL,
                     dense_rank () over (order by sal desc) AS RNK
                from emp),
             emp
       where RNK = V_RANK;
      DOPL ('EMPLOYEE NAME:' || V_ENAME);
      DOPL ('EMPLOYEE SAL:' || V_SAL);
      DOPL ('EMPLOYEE RANK:' || V_RNK);
    END;By the way, looking at some of your past entries it looks like you have a bad habit of opening a request then never responding to it. You really should mark a entry as closed once it is no longer an issue. Also, if you mark helpful hints and helpful and correct hints as correct it makes people that help you happy and they are more likely going to help you again in the future... just saying.
