An error Handling in Asynchronous Proxy to JDBC Scenario?

Hey,
In my scenario, we'll send data from erp to third-party database.
If it occurred an error while saving the data to database, I want to manage that error in ERP.
Is it possible to make this scenario with asynchronous proxy to JDBC?
If it was possible, how should do I?

First of all thanks for all your early replays....
"TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED" QRFC Problem is indicates that when we processing large volume of messages to external or internal systems in this case specified time limit in SM59 is not enough to process the message so that please increase TIMEOUTS...TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED error will be solved.

Two Receiver DB in Synchronous Proxy to JDBC Scenario?

Is it possible to develop a synchronous proxy to JDBC Scenario that have two different DBs as Receiver?
The response Datas are insert_count and update_count.

You can't have more than one receivers in Sychronous case. If you designed the scenario , then u will get the error as "TOO_MANY_RECEIVER CASE_BE".

I am developing proxy to jdbc scenario. in this i need to pass dynamic sql query whre we are passing classical method like below.
while we are passing select stmt in constant and mapped with access field and key field mapped with key field.
MY requirement is like instead of passing select stmt in constant where i can generate dynamically and passed in one field and mapped with access field.

A simple UDF or use of graphical mapping functions in most cases should provide you everything you need to construct a dynamic SQL statement for your requirement.

Error Handling for ABAP Proxy sender

Hello Everyone,
I am trying out a scenario of SAP R/3 to Oracle database (ABAP Proxy to JDBC).
I have the following code and it works fine.
CALL METHOD prxy->execute_asynchronous
      EXPORTING
        output = it.
     commit work
CATCH cx_ai_system_fault .
    DATA fault TYPE REF TO cx_ai_system_fault .
    CREATE OBJECT fault.
    WRITE :/ fault->errortext.
I know that the above Catch block would be used to handle system errors on the sender side.
Please tell me what kind of errors could these be and what I can do to test these errors. ie. I want to create error situations explicitely and see how they are handled.

My scenario is for Asynchronous communication.
I guess Fault messages are used in case of Synchronous communication for handling application errors. So if there was something wrong at the JDBC end then I could use the fault messages.
Have i got this right?
I also came across this piece on Acknowledgements. But is says that they can be used with the following Receivers:
The following receivers support acknowledgments:
ABAP and Java proxies (XI 3.0 SP1 for the latter)
Integration processes
IDocs (note that IDocs only return acknowledgments when they have been configured using the ALE audit)
Receiver adapters support system acknowledgments but not application acknowledgments
My Receiver is JDBC. So I guess I cannot use acknowledgements either.
Hence, I need to know what I can do to replicate the system errors eg. failed server etc...so that I can get catch these errors during sending.
I'll tell you abt what happened earlier.
My XI server was down. I executed the code for the sender ABAP Proxy and it did not catch the error. In SXMB_MONI in the R/3 system, I could see the messages queued up. When the XI server started, the messages were transferred to XI.
I need to handle such errors...ie. If the server is down or message did not reach XI then my ABAP program that sends data via ABAP proxy needs to know that something went wrong.

Error handling in abap proxy

In my scenario, I have written code in the execute_synchronous method of the abap proxy in ECC. I want to capture all possible errors that might occur here and for all of them i want to capture the message id and the text and send it out. what kind of possible errors/exceptions can occur and how to handle them. My proxy class simply selects data from multiple tables in ECC and returns the same.

Hi,
for outbound proxies the error handling should be done within R3 itself and there is no need to send errors to XI or receiving system for that matter. You would want someone from R3 side to take a note of it.
For Inbound proxies, you will have to implement the Fault messages
Fault message types are designed for application-specific errors that occur on the inbound side and that are reported back to the sender or persisted in monitoring.
· In the synchronous case, when an application-specific error occurs on the inbound side, instead of sending a response message back to the sender, the application can send a fault message to handle the error.
· The fault message of the application for an asynchronous ABAP server proxy is persisted for monitoring. In the case asynchronous of Java server proxies, the fault message is part of a negative application acknowledgement (see Acknowledgments).
Application-specific means that the application on the inbound side triggers the error itself because, for example, the request message did not contain sufficient information.

In your case, since you said that you are selecting data from some tables, the possibility is that an entry is not found in the DB tables you will have to simply populate the fault message data and raise an expection CX_FM. It also depends on what error handling requirements from the Business .

Can you help me if the below is possbile.
I have a process which takes an input and splits the inputs into multiple requests to some external system in a flow-N activity. There is an invoke activity with-in the flow N activity. And this invoke is an asynchrnous call. If at runtime we have 5 flows for flow-N, with 5 calls to external system, and out of these 4 are successful and one errors out. Can we have an error handler to just resubmit the failed request to the external system. Once we get the response from the resubmission, we want to continue with merging the output of all 5 and sending it back.
Also, let me know if there will be any issue with the call back operation due to resubmission of the invoke. This is an asynchronous invoke with call back mechanism for response.

Error handling in server proxy - triggering email

Hi,
i have WS->XI->CRM scenario.
i am using server proxy at CRM side.
I want to hadle errors in ABAP server proxy.
i am using fault message and collecting and raising the error.
Everything is fine.
But to know the error i have to come SXMB_MONI of CRM.
But in real scenario how it works. some one will not come and see every time.
How to notify ( may be triggering email ) some one in the organization if some error occurs in SXMB_MONI.
Is there any automatic method?? if yes, how to do that.

Data coming in receiver side by using proxy to jdbc scenario

Hi experts ,
I have scenario Proxy (client proxy) to JDBC (IVR system) Asynchronous method,
I execute se38 its working fine and go SXMB_MONI here also success flag in development server same way I checking PI side also SXMB_MONI everything fine but data not coming IVR side if write select query
In runtime workbench the Communication channel status id green and Message processing completed successfully
My question is when I writing select query like select * from table name ,Why data not coming receiver side ? execute query here IVR side also mention query status is successfully ,but IVR side data not coming, I have access right in receiver side
Please provide valuable inputs.

Also, in the reciever JDBC adapter you dont write a SQL query anywhere but it is the target MT structure and corresponding mapping,which generates the query.

Reg. Client(ABAP) Proxy to JDBC scenario

Hi All,
I am working on a scenario of Proxy to JDBC. The scenario goes like this.....
SAP is the sender and I need to fetch data from the database table at the R/3 end and update in the legacy system at the receiver end .
Can anybody guide me apart from PI configuration, the settings need to be done at the R/3 end in the transaction sproxy i.e. the ABAP class and objects. Also let me know if I need to trigger the interface weekly once, is it possible to trigger it automatically by using ABAP class and objects else I need to write an ABAP program in order to trigger the interface.

Performance issues in Proxy-XI-Jdbc scenario

Hello,
I have developed a proxy to JDBC synchronous scenario.
My scenario works like this.
*i run an abap program which calls a client proxy,
the proxy fetches the data from database table and returns the data in the ABAP program.(select query)
there are serious performance issues when we are running the report
it is taking around 2-5 minutes and at times multiple users are logged in , it takes around 5-20 minutes.
it seems that most of the time is consumed in the data fetching.
please help me to find some solution so that we can fine tune the performance on the PI side.
Are there any options on JDBC CC which can help us in making the queries faster

Issue seems to be at r/3 end..
1. Make sur ethat report program is using select query in proper fashion .
2. avoid using nested loops.
3. Hope not much validations are being done on selected data .
Abaper can help you optimizing this .
By debugging you can find out the exact reason behind.

Error Handling in File to Multiple IDOC Scenario?

Hello Experts,
My scenario is file with Multiple records and I want to send it to SAP system.If there will be 10 Records in my file I need to create 10 IDOC in Target system.
I can use below of the two options.
1) File to Multiple Idoc (1.N Mapping)
2) Using BPM
3)Directly place the file in SAP application server and process it via ABAP Program.
However I am not clear in which option error handling will be more effective.Please suggest.
Basically I want to handle If out of 10 records 9 are correct and 1 record is not correct then I should be able to report within PI without affecting 9 correct records.Is it possible 9 records will be sent to SAP system and PI will only show error for 1 incorrect record.
Also I will be doing this scenrio for transaction data with huge size (1 Million Records).Which approach will be more effective in this case.

when working on graphical mapping, the target structure is created when there are no errors in all records of source structure.
suppose if we have validation error in 9th and 10th record, then we can not process the first eight records and inturn we can not store the two error records in XI for further.
i suggest you the third option, you can directly place the file in SAP application server and process it via ABAP Program.
this is far better because you can do more customizations as you have to deal with millions of records.

Error in synchronous( abap proxy to soap)scenario

My scenario is synchronous abap proxy to sysnchronous soap. for proxy I am using business system name as ERDCLNT220 and soap business system name as BS_HRS_DEV
configuration steps are
1. only client proxy to soap scenario I have done.
communication channels: only receiver soap adapter. no proxy sender communication channel for client proxy.
Already we have RFC destination connection and connection type H for proxy to xi.
1.Is it required RFC destination connection for xi to server proxy.
2.Is it required receiver proxy communication channel for server proxy?.
i HAVE TESTED THIS INTERFACE. I am able to send the request. But I am not able to receive the response from soap webservice message .

Your exception message shows problem at the webservice side.
Check the following:
a) you need two mappings one for proxy req to soap request and other soap response to proxy response
b) You need to create service interfaces both sender and receiver synchronous .
c) communication channel QOS is best effort for both sender and receiver
d) I dont see problem in soap configuration. Bcuz you are able to ping and while getting response from the method getPerson it fails.
f) See your SOAP response structure matches with WSDL provided.
g) You can also test outside PI.. I meant testing via soap client tool like SOAPUI for that web service. So that you know whether problem exists on the target system or not.

Proxy to JDBC scenario data to be fetched from two dB

Hello all,
we have a requirement in which the data is sent from an abap program and using PI it will fetch the data from DB at client side,
and we need to display the data in the report program.
As we need the real time data and need to be displayed back in the Report program the processing time should be less than 30 sec.
We have tried the scenario using synch Proxy-synch jdbc and we are getting the data with in time but we tried this with 1 DB.
But now we have requirement change and we need to look the data in 2 Data bases.
we need to pass data through client proxy(Synch) to PI and it should check the data in 2 DB and send back the data.
the data sent back from the DB, we need to show in our ABAP program.
Please send in your inputs so that i get some pointers regarding this requirement.

Exception handling in synchronous proxy - web service scenario

Hi Gurus,
I have a synchronous scenario in which SAP is sending a request via XI using SOAP and receiving a response back. As part of this scenario, I am consuming standard web service APIs provided by the third party.
Since, every request has to contain the connecting user id and password provided by the third party, I am sending/receiving messages without SOAP envelop (achieved by clicking 'Do not use SOAP envelope' checkbox in SOAP Receiver Communication Channel).
For this scenario, we are including the user id and password in the request message using XSLT mapping and the request number using simple message mapping.
The fault message of the web service is being mapped to the fault message created in XI under Fault Message Types.
The interface mapping page has got 3 tabs, one each for Request message mapping, Response message mapping and Fault message mapping.
When I trying to test a failure scenario by giving an incorrect request number(since this is the only input parameter in gthe request message apart from user id and password), it is throwing up "MAPPING">EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE error.
Actually, for such requests, I am getting a proper fault response back from the third party which I can see in XI (in moni) as response to my request but when I am looking at the message in moni in SAP, I am only seeing "MAPPING">EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE. Even I can see the exception in the trace section of my response in moni in XI.
My feeling is that the fault message mapping is not getting executed at all.
I also thought to do a 2:1 multimapping in which, the target side will contain the response message type created in XI but the source will contain two messages, i.e. Normal response message structure provided by third party and Fault message structure provided by third party but I am not sure whether this is possible without using BPM.
Please suggest the best way to resolve this issue.
