Count(*) returns 'Column 'Count' not found' SQLException
I am trying to get the count from a table using the following:
String query = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM myTable;"
I know that the connection is open and working because I am getting back an SQLException:
'Column 'Count' not found' .
The same command works fine at the command line. I would be grateful for any suggestions as to why JDBC sends my app searching for a field named count in my table whereas the command line returns the expected number.

Found the problem, which is mainly my own stupidity . Is it one of Murphy's laws that the quickest way to find the solution to a problem if first embarrass yourself by asking foolish questions? Sorry to have bothered anyone.

We were able to fix the issue through the following:
1. Call transaction
SE14.
2. Enter the name of
the table and choose "Edit".
3. Choose
"Indexes".
4. Select the index
and choose "Choose (F2)".
5. If you choose
"Activate and adjust", the system creates the index again and it is
consistent.
6. Check the object
log of this activation.
7. If an error
occurs, eliminate the cause and reactivate the index. -

Error in COLMAP clause. Column name not found

I must be missing something extremely simple here but I can't figure it out. I have a very simple test I am trying to perform. Remap a column from 1 table into another on replicat.

Any ideas? Thanksdesc billing.r1 - does that table have columns that you've included in the map clause?
But, check the ordering of the columns in colmap - it goes target_column_name = source_column_name, looks like you have that reversed.
I don't know why people insist on using SQL file extensions on def files, and placing them in the dirsql directory. What was wrong with using the (already created for you) dirdef directory? And naming the file with an extension like def or defs? It is not a SQL file. -

Credit card payment with eway returns "invoice number not found" on BC
dear all,
I am currently working on the payment gateway of pared.com.au. the problem we're having is that every credit card payment gets redirected to the "Credit Card Payment Fail" page, although the payment was marked as successful on eway.
eway transaction details stated "response code: 00", response text "transaction approved".
however, the CC payment fail page stated:
"there was an error processing your credit card. please correct this and try again.
invoice number not found: . please go back and correct this."
strangely enough, the order is perfectly recorded as successful order in BC (customers -> orders).
any help would be much appreciated - i've been looking at this for hours but i'm getting nowhere. thanks everyone!

Remove that system field and reinsert the form, and it should then work

Parent key is not found , SQLException

I have simple master -details relations , those are used ion the same page of the application,
in the normal situation, upon commit first INSERT for the master table is executed, then Insert of the details tables,
but in only one scenario an INSERT is created for a detail before the insert of the master table, so I receive the SQLException which indicates that the parent key is not found, which is actually happening in this case, as the master table does not have a key yet, for that corresponding record,
any ideas or hints about what could be the reason that the detail insert statement performed before the master's.
please notice that the executable s are ordered in the page definition as the master comes first

I already have an Association between the master and that detail entities.
to be more clear:
the master's ID is set using override create method of the entityImp class.
all the other details are working fine, on the same page, this issue is happening for thin one detail entity.

PXI-5402 IVI in TestStand 4.2 returned "niFgen_InitWithOptions" Resource not found
Hi, i'm very new in TestStand.
I hope someone could help me.
I have a complete Sequence in which an ivi should initiate a PXI-5402.
(It's an old sequence i inherited. It's now my job to get it working again).
We have another System with an PXI-5401 (appears in MAX as Traditional-DAQ) which works fine with this Sequence.
I created a new Sequence to simplify troubleshooting with just the "IVI Fgen" step.
When in click on "Validate" and uncheck "Simulate" and hit "Init" i get:
niFgen_InitWithOptions returned an error: -1073807343 (0xbfff0011). Insufficient location information or the requested device or resource is not present in the system. If the resource descriptor is an IVI name, it must match the entry in the IVI Configuration Store in a case sensitive manner.
Source: TSIviStepTypes [Error Code: -31619]
In NI-Spy i get following Error
> Status: 0xBFFF0011 (VI_ERROR_RSRC_NFOUND)
I think i have configured everything correct. Please see attached Screenshot.
I tried different IVI-Logical Names...
To eliminate this as root cause, i reference direct the Driver-Session which is displayed correctly on the iviConfiguration.

I recently updates to Firefox 4, but this was happening even before. I read posts online from several years ago that suggested temporarily make IE the default browser, and then changing it back to Firefox, but this didn't help.

I have seen many users facing the error : java.sql.SQLException : column not found. I have the same problem, although my case doesnot match with theirs.
I have a Base DAO class which establishes the connection with database in MySQL.I have no problem in establishing the connection. I have a extended DAO class for accessing the table 'product' in the database. I have a method in the extended class that retrieves the products under a category.

Now coming to strange part !!! The same function displays an error "java.sql.SQLException : Column not found" when called using Struts Action Object.
The Struts Action object calls a Service method (ProductService.java) which then calls the above extended DAO class to retrieve sub categories and products of a category. I am using a similar select query for retrieving the sub categories and it works fine.
I am pretty sure that I am using the correct field name. Any help would be a help for me....

SELECT column1, column2 ..... columnN FROM product WHERE sectionId = ?(i.e., enumerate the columns instead of relying on the "*" syntax)
use a PreparedStatement
use stmt.setString(1, categoryName)
and get the columns by number (starting from column 1)?
Sometimes the error "column not found" is really the case of the column being not found, because the version of the table that your DBA has installed in the DB has not the column that you expect to find in the table... -
Sign on screen up, but trying to sign on returns page not found

had this issue on a LIVE instance running 11.5.10.2 (11.2.03 on RHEL 5.5) last week
Users could not connect (or work) to or in i Expenses. The sign on screen was up, but trying to sign on returned a page not found error.
I checked Apache processes and there were around 20 of them.
Apache was running.
I decided to bounce Apache and this resolved the error.
I suspect that it wasn't Apache that was the problem (since there were many Apache processes running). What was the real issue? A module?
Any helpful tips will much much appreciated.

PS: Is simply grepping for Apache enough to confirm that it is running (as well as checking adapcctl.sh status)? Why are there over 25 Apache processes running - even when I check on an instance that no one is using??

Encountering Reference Not found when trying to extend TermResVO
Requirement : Need to Add “Hr Last Worked Date” and “Hr Termination Date” Columns to the Terminated resources Table of the Payment Batch Summary Page.
Issue : we tried extending and substituting TermResVo(Terminated Resources) of Payment Batch Summary Page, But unable to view the changes.
Steps Followed for VO Extension and Substitution:
Step 1 : Created new VO(ADPTermResVO) extending TermResVo
Step 2 : Substituted ADPTermREsVO with TermResVO using Substitution in JDeveloper (Navigation: Project Settings>>Business Components>>Substitution)
Step 3 : Compiled and saved the .jpx file
Step 4 : Placed ADPTermResVOExtn .jpx,ADPTermResVO.xml,ADPTermResVOImpl.java,ADPTermResVORowImpl.java files in server
Step 5 : Imported ADPTermResVOExtn .jpx using the following command
