Parking error msgs from Inbound queue
Hi Experts,
There are situations when an inbound queue (SMQ2) gets build up because of an error msg. In this case, we manually cancel the error msg and allow subsequent msgs to get process. Is there any way using which we can park the error msg aside automatically (into some new queue, like an error queue) and allow subsequent msgs to get process. This will prevent queues from building up and we can fix all the error msgs at later point of time by checking them from newly created error queue.
Thanks,
Aditya
Hi,
PI 7.3 has the feature of parking the error queues aside and allows the other messages of queue to process....
I heard this feature is downported to the PI 7.1 also...but no hands on or more info at hand on this...if your are using 7.1 check the sap site...
Apart from that try to check for activation of CCMS alerts so that person is notified in case if message in queue gets blocked..

Hi,
I am getting an error in CIF Inbound queue (function: CIF_ORDER_INBOUND_30A). The error text says "Only 0 decimal places are permitted for unit of measure PC".
Can anyone point out the solution to resolve this error? It would be a big help for me as I am new to APO and so getting difficult to find a clue for it.
Thanks.
Regards
MansiHi Mansi,
Please check the cif queue you will get the order number from that order number you can find out material code. Then check the material master unit of measure in MM03 you have used some alternative unit of measure and system is unable to convert order to alternative unit of measure because of decimal setting. If you go to CUNI and check the unit if measure PC it is not permitted for decimal places. If you need decimal than change the UoMof Material and use diff UoM or allow the decimal for PC which is not good practice.

Does Driver.Start() in CWDAQ.OCX clear msgs from the Queue?
I am hosting the CWDAO.OCX ActiveX control in my (C++) application, and communicating to it through VBA. I am also communicating to other devices through an OPC (COM) interface, and occasionally COM messages get lost (specifically, the WM_USER message gets removed from the message queue without getting processed).
It looks like Driver.Start() is removing the messages from the queue. If I add a DoEvents statement to the VBA before starting the driver the frequency of the problem drops significantly.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks.

Milford, Ohio 45150Hi LA,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
It’s actual COM that is posting the message in order to marshal data across an IAdviseSink interface. COM uses WM_USER+0 (which I referred to simply as WM_USER) as the message, with WPARAM set to 0xbabe.
I am able to spy on the NationalInstruments message window, and it uses WM_USER+0 through WM_USER+12. However, it posts the messages to its own window and usually does not interfere with the COM messages. I suspect that somewhere during an acquisition start it is either clearing the entire message queue, or stripping the WM_USER messages from the queue without first checking the window handle of the messages.
This causes the OPC server I’m using to hang because it is waiting on my application to respond to a COM callback that it never receives.

How to get Error Msg from A step in TestStand into a variable (with Record Result disable)
I have disable "Record Result" in a step (action) that call a Labview VI (Minimise memory usage during long run).
But I want to capture the error msg and put it in a local variable (locals.log).
So in the "Post Expression" of that step, I add:
locals.log = step.result.error.msg
But it always an empty string, Is the post expression executed when the there is an error in the step ?
So How can I capture it ?Hi,
The trouble is that when a step errors, the Post Expression doesn't get executed.
Try using one of the Override callbacks - SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError, ProcessModelPostStepRuntimeError or StationPostStepRuntimeError.
There is an example in the Examples\Callbacks.
The Step properties are passed as a parameter to the callback so you can get the error message and do your logging.
Hope this helps

Deleting error messages from EOIO Queue Automatically at run time
Hi Experts,
I am sending data from proxy to database. In case of error message i want that mesage to be cancelled at the run time and the remaining messages in queue should be processed, whether the error is in Integration engine or adapter engine. Please suggest me how to cancel the error or failed messages automatically (Alert has to be raised for the failed messages) so that my queue is processed successfuly
and failed messages can be sent manually.
Thanks

I am new to peoplesoft adapter, I guess I must miss something important. I am wondering if there is configuration stuff on peoplesoft side? or I should config peopleSoft user from for provisioning instead of standard one?
Any advice is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advanceJason
Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.
At IDM side, we have the right psjoa.jar in IDM lib directory, and have the "PeopleSoftCompIntfcAdapter" installed. We also use the default user_profile and delete_user_profile component interfaces.
Per your advice, at peoplesoft side, we need to create the above user_profile and delete_user_profile component interfaces, define the profile data view and audit table for peoplesoft internal actively sync, correct?
As I understood, other 2 different PeopleSoft adapters "PeoplesoftComponentActiveSyncAdapter" and "PeoplesoftComponentResourceAdapter" are totally different from "PeopleSoftComponentIntfcAdapter". In our case, we don't need to follow the instruction to get a copy IDM_peopleSoft project jar file from Sun IDM supporter and import the projects at peopleSoft side, correct?
Sincerely
jxxe
To use the PeopleSoft Component Interface adapter you
need a JAR file from PeopleSoft (psjoa.jar I think).
This JAR is built to the specific version level of
the PeopleSoft environment you have installed.
You also need a Component Interface listener set up
on the PeopleSoft App Server. There is a fair amount
of work involved with this, because you'll also need
a view of PeopleSoft data created (limited to what
you specifically need) and an audit table that will
notify the Active Sync process when there are changes
that require action.

Ipod Nano 7th Generation - Not Charging / Error Msg From Comp 'Attached Device Malfunctioned'
My IPod Nano 7th gen arrived last night. I was able to turn it on and select language 'english' When I connected it to my computer it did not recognize my iPod, so it also did not show up in iTunes, Error message: "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned. and Windows does not recognize it."
My Nano turned off and went blank. I have tried to reset it. Nothing works, just blank.
No charge icon, I have tried all USB ports on my comp, but nothing works- (but my USB ports work fine) I have read that if my iPod has not been charged fully, the computer my not recognize it.
I am now using an adapter and trying to charge it thru the wall power socket. It has been connected for half an hour. Still cannot turn iPod on.
I have Windows 7 running on comp. Itunes is current version 10.7. I have rebooted my comp several times and re-installed iTunes.
I have an iPhone and an iPod shuffle that are both synced with iTunes on this comp, they work fine.
Is my iPod broken? Do I send it back? Anyone else having the same problems? Please Help !!I had this problem as well. I have a PC running Windows 7. I have installed the latest iTunes 10.7 software (64 bit). I reset the nano by holding down the start and home button for 10 seconds. Then - I plugged it into a PC running Windows XP and was able to format the iPod. Ejected it and plugged it into my Windows 7 computer and then the computer recognized it and I was able to load it. There is some problem with iTunes 7 on Windows 7.

Error in Inbound Queue (Tx. SMQ2) / Error "CMW_PIF_PROTOCOL"
Hello everybody,
I have got a queue which appears time by time. It is called "ISP_I_000000000000017" in my Inbound Queue.
Below further information about that.
Information from Tx. "SE16" about this Error.
Client 010
Site-Typ-ID GWA_01
ISP Queue-Typ I
Log. Queuename CMW_PIF_PROTOCOL
Queue-Name ISP_I_000000000000017
Destination ISP_I_000000000000017
Description GWA_01/I/CMW_PIF_PROTOCOL
Has anyone an idea what's behind this? What is the pif-Protocol? How can I avoid this error in the inbound queue.
Every idea is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards HarryOne option would be to raise an exception for such steps....in the Exception handler you can repeat the same step....in your case it will be the mapping (n:1) .....are you sure that the process failed in Transformation step and that the data was correct....i mean all the 5 IDOCs were sent as an input to the mapping?
Can you ensure that during this time there was no connection issue between the BPM and the mapping runtime (IE)....may be you can check with your BASIS.

Abhishek. -
SYSFAIL error in Inbound Queue
Hi,
I got a SYSFAIL error in the Inbound queue. When I double clicked on it, it showed up the Status text as "An exception occurred that was not caught". This has been raised on 14-01-2009 (today's) date and when i checked for the B-Doc corresponding to this, i couldn't find out any entry for this.
Initially i tried unlocking the queue and thereby re-processing it, but it failed again.
The details are:
Function Module : BAPI_CRM_SAVE
Queue name : R3AD_SALESDO0004700954
Date : 14-01-2009.
Any pointers on this would be of great help.
Thanks in advance
Rasmi.1. Check in Tx: ST22 (ABAP Runtime Error). That would give you more insight in the cause of exception / dump and how to solve it.
2. Also, in parallel check whether the connection to ERP is established and the RFC call is getting connected (Tx: SM59).
3. If the error/exception/dump is occuring on ERP side, check whether CRM server details are maintained in table: CRMRFCPAR (on ERP side).
4. Check whether internal user exit is coded to catch the exception and throw out appropriate error.
5. check whether there is any code error in mapping module (available in table SMOFSUBTAB).
These steps might be useful to find out your problem.

When I brought up my machine this afternoon, it started to download 6.0.1 and then I received an error msg from ZoneAlarm requesting that I upload an error file. This occurred several times, and then I uninstalled the Firefox files and again downloaded 6.0.1. At this point I then received the Version 6.0/6.0.1 error msg.
If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme then you may have to disable that during the installation to prevent ZA from blocking access to some files in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Msgs getting stucked in inbound queue
Hi All,
I am doing a jdbc- xi - ABAP proxy scenario. Data is coming into the R/3 via proxy but getting stucked up in inbound queue. When I go to the queue I can find entries with msg transaction recorded. When I manually execute the entry from the queue it is getting executed successfully.
In R/3 the msgs are with a green flag(scheduled). But when i execute it from inside the queue, I can see the success flag(chequered) one.
Why am I getting this problem?
Kindly help me debug this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Jai Shankar.
Message was edited by: Jai ShankarHi,
Pls make sure your queues are registered and active...
you can register the queues using the SXMB_ADM transaction and executing the link "Manage Queues" in that.
Thanks,

BPM workflow "In Process"-Queue "Permanent error in BPE inbound processing"
Hi All,
I am trying to collect messages from 2 different interfaces into BPM( Integration Process).
when I checked in sxmb_moni , i found the error on outbound status & BPM workflow has stuck with status "In Process".
it is not showing any error in Workflow, how to solve the issue.
due to the above error, other messages are stuck in Queue stating "Permanent error in BPE inbound processing".
Please help.
-JyotiHi Jyoti,
Goto T.Code swwl, in that clear all fields and choose from date as 1 month ago and try to execute. Then, delete all entries there. And re-execute your scenario.
In this case, please see SAP Note 1126656.
Please see the below blog, it might be helpful to you.
