Parse http response
Hi all :)
I am trying to parse an http response that I get back from a webserver that I sent my request to. The reponse is recieved as an InputStream which I then wrap in a Buffered Reader:
BufferedReader input = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader( urlConn.getInputStream()));
The content of the InputStream looks is in the following format:
name1=intValue&name2=strValue&name3=strValue&name4=&name5=strValue
...etc
The content always comes back to me with the same variables in the same order, even if the variables have no value (see name4=&name5 indicates name4 has no value, but the variable is still returned). What I'd like to do is separate the value of name1 and store it in a local variable of the same name. So I have:
String name1 = ?? //some code to browser input stream for "name1" then retrieve the value after the '=' and before the '&'
I am not exactly sure how to write this code? I am looking at the API's for InputStream, StreamTokenizer, and BufferedReader, but I am not having that much luck finding out how to do this.
Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(response, "&");
// creates a tokenizer that uses "&" as the delimiter to break up the response
while (st.hasMoreTokens()) {
String parameter = st.nextToken();
// this should have something like "name1=intValue"
int break = parameter.indexOf("=");
// find where the equals sign is in it
// I leave it to you to use the substring() method to get the 2 bits
}I just noticed the bit about "store it in a local variable of the same name". Forget about that, variables are created at compile time. You need some kind of a Map where the parameter name is the key and the parameter value is the value.

HTTP response code 500 : Error during parsing of SOAP header
Hi Experts,
I have a MAIL to IDOC scenario. An external third party emails invoices to our inbox - which we pick up and process the attachment. All is well when I test the scenario internally, but when the third party emails it fails with (see ERROR MESSAGE below).
When I look at the SOAP header of the failed message I see the values from the dump in this field:

This error only came from external emails - what we did in the end is to get the third party to email a particular email (email1) in our company. This is set up as a regular email account. On this email put a forward rule to email2 for a particular sender/subject. email2 is set up as POP3 so that XD1 can poll it - we also block any emails except from email1.
Doing this accomplishes a couple of things:
1) We get around the error because XI polls email2 (which has adapter settings of IMAP4 so we can see MAIL adapter attributes ie. sender, subject etc...When we originally had as POP3 we were not able to see these - but setting as IMAP4 causes the error for external emailers)
2) We have a SPAM filter - the XI email is clean from SPAM and the adapter will not have errors, as it only receives valid emails to process
3) We have a central email (email1) which is used to archive all XI emails - we use this for all email scenarios (as we also save to folder and forward in the rule)
Hope this helps your situation. -

IMAP error messages "Error while parsing IMAP response"
I'm getting thousands of IMAP errors every hour, can I shut those off?
My console log is flooded with them and it keeps me from seeing anything else
in the system log. The IMAP errors happen continuously while Mail.app is running.
It looks like debug output from Mail.app !?!
IMAP server is Beehive Server -- it's my company email so I need to use it.
Windows Outlook (Windows 7) shows no errors, possibly they're silently ignored
on Windows. My disk is writing almost continuously when Mail.appo is running.
Sample error: (thousands are generated per hour)
Apr 8 10:29:18 Js-Coolio-iMac.local Mail[22903]: Error while parsing IMAP response (null): Incomplete response
Remaining text: < Gian Luigi<br>>
Full text: < Gian Luigi<br>>
Any idea how to shut these off? I reinstalled Mavericks, no improvement as expected
since this seems to be Mail complaining about IMAP protocol issues.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. And yes I've rebooted, reinstalled the IMAP account,
reinstalled Mavericks, etc.

Java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500
Hi,
I am connecting to a servlet from an applet to send and receive data using the following code.
try
URL servletURL = new URL("http://www.progressivecoding.com/servlet/gatesqlang");
URLConnection servletConnection = null;
URLConnection servletConnection = servletURL.openConnection();
servletConnection.setDoOutput(true);
servletConnection.setUseCaches(false);
PrintStream out = new PrintStream(servletConnection.getOutputStream());
out.println("hhd8836gh828dhhskjdhn38847gosf747");
out.close();
InputStream in = servletConnection.getInputStream();
StringBuffer response = new StringBuffer();
int chr;
while ((chr=in.read())!=-1)
response.append((char) chr);
in.close();
return response.toString();
catch (IOException e)
e.printStackTrace();
tfTxtFile.setText(e.toString());
return "An error occurred: " + e.toString();
Everything was working well and fine. All of a sudden without any change of code. It began to return this error to applet
An error occurred: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: http://www.progressivecoding.com/servlet/gatesqlang
But I am able to access the same URL from a browser.
Someone please tell me what could be the problemhi, that error got solved, the SessID i was receiving in that code had some leading or trailing white spaces. so SessID = SessID.trim() did the job.
But i have a question. This program workd fine when i compile and run from my local system. But when i port this on to the oracle server (JAVA_TOP) and access this from a JSP, then the program performs very un-reliably.
The first data transfer works fine, i get the SessID, when i pass that SessID along with the DTSSessionID to the server, the server says that i doesn't recognise my SessID, and throws a client.Authentication Error.
So there goes the parsing out of the window for the data in the second iteration. -
HTTP response code 401 when trying to import webservice
Hi,
I've created a Webservice how descripted in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/de/24/186440bdd39a0ae10000000a155106/content.htm. Now I try to import it in NWDS. I followed the step by step guide "81 Using a Web Service as External Service (Service)".
My WDSL file of my webservice is available over http://server:8000/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/Z_MPO_XRFC_CAFTESTBO_GETBYNAME?wsdl
When I try to use this url in step 4 (page 13) I get the following message:
Cannot Load WebService WSDL from URI: http://server:8000/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/Z_MPO_XRFC_CAFTESTBO_GETBYNAME?wsdl reason: IO Exception occurred while parsing file:Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL:
http://server:8000/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/Z_MPO_XRFC_CAFTESTBO_GETBYNAME?wsdl
The HTTP errorcode means "no authorisation". But why does the NWDS don't ask for user and password?
Any ideas?
Best regards from cologne
MartinHello Martin,
step 4 of page 13 is only for loading the WSDL and generating the external service model. The user and password that you give here is not used for exectuting the web service. The runtime configuration for your web service is done on page 23 of the tutorial. Here is where you set the user and password for the execution of the web service. You can choose either basic authentication or SSO with login ticket which will not send any text login information.
Regards,
Austin. -
Adt.bat Could not generate timestamp: Cannot parse the response

anyone got any idea why this might be happening?
ThanksThere is no previous thread running for this application
(that's the first thing I checked out). As I said in the last
message, I can successfully launch my app from within FlexBuilder3,
but not from a generated .air file install.
At your suggestion, I created a simple "Hello World" type of
Flex application in FlexBuilder3. From within FlexBuilder3, I
exported it to an AIR file and installed it. This simple
application does indeed run on my system after being installed from
the .air file.
So there's something different about this new public release
of the FlexSDK than the last bet release. I compared that simple
project contents and layout to my project. The big difference is
that all the source files for the simple project was automatically
dropped/created in a child 'src' folder under the main project
folder. I also noticed that when installed, there were files
missing for my app, but not for the simple app. The big difference
there being that only the files in the src folder were copied into
the AIR installer to be installed. Nothing outside of that folder
was part of the install codebase!
I therefore refactored my code (yet again) to move all my
source files (including my external config XML files) into a 'src'
folder under the main project folder. After a lot of tweaking in
FlexBuilder3 to get it all working again and running, I exported to
an AIR file once again. This time all the files were included, when
I ran the new installer. The application now launches successfully.
The next step is to replicate this via the command-line ADT
tool.
It would have been nice to know the changes in this area (src
folder) before going this far into the process. Unless they are
documented in some obscure release note somewhere that I am not
aware of yet.
I'll let you know how the ADT run goes when I get the chance.
Thanks for your help everyone. -
Hi!
How can I could parse the response from the REST request (using XML or JSON)??? I can't find any API to parse the CLOB response.
Thanks

end;What could be the problem or the solutions?1) Create an XMLType table (could be temporary) using binary XML storage :
create table tmp_xml of xmltype
xmltype store as securefile binary xml;2) In your procedure, load the XMLType containing the response (rsp_xml) into the table :
insert into tmp_xml values (rsp_xml);3) Then, execute the query directly from the table :
SELECT opciones_obj ( ... )
BULK COLLECT INTO t_opciones
FROM tmp_xml t
, XMLTABLE (
xmlnamespaces ( ... ),
'/env:Envelope/env:Body/...'
PASSING t.object_value

Hi all,
I'm trying to parse a response to a SOAP request and am not quite sure how to do this. I see in all the examples on the web and in the books where the information being returned is a simple type or a complex type and you can use Response.getReturnValue() to access the data.
Either something like,
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<stockquoteresponse>
<stockprice>123.45</stockprice>
</stockquoteresponse>
</SOAP-ENV:Body> or
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<stockquoteresponse>
<stock>
<tickersymbol>XYZ</tickersymbol>
<stockprice>123.45</stockprice>
</stock>
</stockquoteresponse>
</SOAP-ENV:Body> In my case however i have multiple pieces of information coming back and I am not sure how to encapsulate it in an object and if that is not possible, how to read it. I am getting something like,
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<stockquoteresponse>
<tickersymbol>XYZ</tickersymbol>
<stockprice>123.45</stockprice>
</stockquoteresponse>
</SOAP-ENV:Body> Is it possible to get access to the stockquoteresponse element and deserialize that into an object ? In the examples I have seen, it doesn't seem to be possible.
Please help.There are standard APIs for reading SOAP message. e.g.
http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.0/tutorial/doc/JAXM.html
If you try google you might find one approriate for you. -
Server return HTTP response code: 413
Hi, I'm trying to make an application that pushes message to phones.
First of all, I use a string to make an XML Element which can be parsed by the phones:
String messageXML = "<CiscoIPPhoneText>";
messageXML += "<Title>A hello message</Title>";
messageXML += "<Text>Text to be displayed.</Text>";
messageXML += "<Prompt>prompt to be displayed.</Prompt>";
messageXML += "<SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "<Name>OK</Name>";
messageXML += "<URL>url</URL>";
messageXML += "<Position>1</Position>";
messageXML += "</SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "<SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "<Name>Exit</Name>";
messageXML += "<URL>Key:Services</URL>";
messageXML += "<Position>3</Position>";
messageXML += "</SoftKeyItem>";
messageXML += "</CiscoIPPhoneText>";
But when I push this message to the phones(by using Phone.push(String[], String, String, String, boolean)), I got error: "Exception:java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code:413 for URL: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/CGI/Execute". It seems that the request entity is too large. I'm using tomcat.
Is there any idea to sovle the problem?
Thanks in advance.Hello,
would you mind posting the complete code. I guess you get this error when the XML object is invalid. -
Scheduled report failures - Unexpected error getting the HTTP response
Getting this error when scheduled report executes:
Unexpected error getting the HTTP response stream while generating report: http://cdmdb1c.nam.nsroot.net:4889/em/console/reports/renderHi..
Thanks for the comment.
Below is how my web.xml entry looks like.
The requirement is to send a 404 error response and that will be handled by a servlet which inturn writes the output to the response object.
<servlet>
<servlet-name>ErrorPageServlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.test.ErrorPageServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>ErrorPageServlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/error</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<error-page>
<error-code>404</error-code>
<location>/error</location>
</error-page>>>
the first option to turn off the "show friendly html error pages" works fine.
It would be better if I can get a different solution -

Thanks in advance,
NevilleHTTP response code 502 means temporarily overloaded.
I would say that we have to check the deployment error on the weblogic server logs located at <Domain_Home>\servers\dupe\logs\dupe.log
Check for any errors like OutOfMemory etc OR any deployment failures.
If possible, try accessing the console at http://dupe:7031/console
Check if you are able to successfully deploy your application using the console.
From the error it looks like the "dupe" server might not be healthy. So, the log file would really help here to get clues into the root cause.

Hi,
We are facing the following error while trying to access the given Windows Azure Pack Public tenant API to query the virtual machines list along with network adaper details -
java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines?$expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters&$top=10000&$skip=0
The response is proper when we access the following URL -
https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines
Only on adding the $expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters, url parameter we are getting the above error.
Where can we check for the error logs on the Azure Pack server ? We checked for the logs using Windows Event Viewer but did not find any for the public tenant API.
What should be the cause for such an error and how can we fix this to get the proper data?
Thanks in advance.Yes, we tried this, $top=10&$skip=0 works for the following url
https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines?$top=10&$skip=0
It is only when we add $expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters,
the server returns the mentioned error response -
URL for which the server returns the 500 error -
https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines?$expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters&$top=10&$skip=0
Can
you point to the error logs for Windows Azure Pack and SPF ? -
Unable to deserialize HTTP response content - SharePoint Designer Call Web Service Workflow Activity
I am creating a workflow using SharePoint Designer 2013 and I'm using the call HTTP web service action.
The web service call works (it is for a text messaging service, and I get the text message to my phone) however the workflow stops at this point with internal status "suspended" and gives the error message below when clicking on the "i"
icon.
I have tried setting the Accept and Content-Type request headers to "application/json; odata=verbose" (minus the quote marks) as other posts suggested but this doesn't make a difference (e.g. here: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsapps/en-US/f0b18411-87d1-466b-aab0-1a0093605ed4/workflow-cannot-read-json-after-latest-sp15-patches?forum=sharepointdevelopment).
I tried adding in the Content-Length header too but that made no difference.
I tested calling another web service (https://sharepointurl/_api/contextinfo) and this works fine.
Is there any way to get the workflow to accept this XML as the response? I don't actually really need anything out of the response content, but I do need the workflow to carry on after this step and carry out other activities after this call.
Error message:
