Parsing & handling of object and param tags
Hi all,
I'm working on allowing people to paste certain embedded video code into a wysiwyg / html editor we've built with the help of (amongst others) javax.swing.text.html.HTMLWriter.
I'm facing the following problem here:
When i try to parse the <object><param></param></object> piece, it removes the <param> tags, and incorporates these in the <object> tag. For example:
<object width="300" height="250"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param></object>becomes:
<object width="300" height="250" allowScriptAccess="always"></object>All param tags get converted into the object tag as String attributes. Problem with this is that the allowScriptAccess attribute is not a valid attribute of the object tag.
Is there any way to prevent this conversion so it will retain the <param> tags?
Thank you in advance.

This seems to be default behaviour in HTMLWriter, function Write().
There it retrieves all elements with their attributes. The attributes summed up in the param tags show up as attributes for the object tag.

Display icon using MIME Objects and BSP Tags on Pop up
HI all,
My requirement is to add the warning icon in my pop up along with the text..
I accomplished this using the warning message
DATA: lr_msg_service TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_message_service, lr_msg_service ?= view_manager->get_message_service( ). lr_msg_service->add_message( iv_msg_type = 'W' iv_msg_id = '000' iv_msg_number = '007' ).
But i wish to know the other way to accomplish this using the Mime Objects..
Can any one pls lemme know how do i achieve this using the Mime Objects + BSP HTML Tag.
Kindly help !!If it doesn't work with a custom theme then the theme makers didn't include that icon in its theme. You can contact the creators of those themes and inform them about that.
You can re-enable the sliding info bar at the top of the browser.
You can look at these prefs on the about:config page and reset them via the right-click context menu:<br />

How to handle plsql Object and Table type inside BPEL
Hi All,
I have a procedure with 5 IN and 4 OUT parameters. Out of 4, One is Object type and remaining 3 are Table type. Now in my bpel, i am calling this proc from DB Adapter. The DB Adapter wizard created XSD with proper structure. But when i am testing this i am not getting these out parameters values in the payload of Invoke DBAdapter activity. I am neither getting errors nor output.
What could be the issue.?
Thanks in advance,
SudheerArik,
JDev is not creating any wrapper packages as such. It simply created a XSD with same as my procedure name.
My XSD looks like this...
<element name="OutputParameters">
<complexType>
<sequence>
<element name="P_OBJ_H_INFO_O" type="db:APPS.H_OBJ_TYPE" db:index="6" db:type="Struct" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
<element name="P_TAB_L_INFO_O" type="db:APPS.L_TAB_TYPE" db:index="7" db:type="Array" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
<element name="P_TAB_M_INFO_O" type="db:APPS.M_TAB_TYPE" db:index="8" db:type="Array" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
<element name="P_TAB_A_INFO_O" type="db:APPS.A_TAB_TYPE" db:index="9" db:type="Array" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
</sequence>
</complexType>
</element>
And again the 3 table types internally referring object types.
Thanks for reply. Awaiting response...

Init-param tags and related settings?
Hello all,
I am completely new to all this and just recently started training for a product called ServiceCenter and was wondering how the servlet technology works in conjunction with the product.
There are servlet tags available in the web.xml for servlet names AttachmentDownload, FileDownload, FileUpload, ImageUpload, AttachmentUpload, UniqueUpload, Attachment, Image, Messages, HtmlViewer, SCLink, NavMenu, and ThemeServlet.
At this time I can find no documentation available for all the init-param tags and related settings along with explanations. If I can understand how this works, I'm sure I can get the appropriate info from the SC engineers.
And when I say I'm new to this, even that is an understatement but I look forward to a looong career and learning every bit of information passed my way.
Thanks,
AndrewSounds like 3rd party API.
First find out the package names for all of that stuff and then google on that to find the manfacturer's website. -
What are object and port handles in CAN communication via labview
Hi,
I have just started working on the NI labview...i had a problem that when i changed the bitrate using CAN interface create-->CAN SDO create-->CAN write.after that i am not able to communicate with the device with the new bitrate....i have seen a few similiar forums, which talks about object and port handles as an solution of the problems..
As
forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=30&thread.id=3405......
So i want ask that is this object and port handles....Thanks your code.
I try the code you posted, It still no work, I found you has improved the "Get data.vi",It works better,but the second frame still no shown.
I used the NI CAN monitor in MAX to monitor the CAN bus,there is no second frame shown in the monitor,See attach pictures.but It shown in the Vector CAN monitor and the code call the Vector DLL.
Have a great day.

Transform handles are moving the object and not scaling.
I've been running into trouble with the transform handles on objects moving the object instead of scaling/stretching the object. It seems to happen on the bottom and right sides vs the top and left sides. When I have the mouse over the handle it shows the scaling icon, but when I press the mouse it turns into the black selection arrow. Is anyone else experiencing this and know how to fix it?
kjredin,
I am afraid you have come across the Live Rectangle bug which is limited to the MAC versions starting with 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). Hopefully, the bug will be fixed soon.
So a switch to Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstallation might be the way to solve it here and now.
To get round it in each case, it is possible to Expand the Live Rectangles to get normal old fashioned rectangles, or to Pathfinder>Unite, or to use the Scale Tool or the Free Transform Tool.
A more permanent way round that is to create normal old fashioned rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

Choosing JRE used by Plug-in in OBJECT OR EMBED tags
I have successfully used the type attribute of the EMBED tag to choose the Plug-in version with fire fox and used the clsid of the OBJECT tag to choose the Plug-in version used by IE to run an applet.
Is there a way in the OBJECT or EMBED tags to force the selected plug-in to use a specific JRE that is known to be installed?http://www.mozilla.org/docs/web-developer/upgrade_2.html
some text from this site:
APPLET
The APPLET element has been deprecated in HTML 4.01 in favor of OBJECT.
<p>
<applet code="HelloWorldApplet.class" height="200" width="350"></applet>
</p>can be converted to:
<p>
<object classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"
codebase=
"http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4_2-windows-i586.cab#Version=1,4,2,0"
codetype="application/java" standby="Loading of applet in progress..."
height="200" width="350">
<param name="code" value="HelloWorldApplet.class">
<!--[if !IE]>
Mozilla 1.x, Firefox 1.x, Netscape 7.x and others will use the inner
object, the nested object
-->
<object classid="java:HelloWorldApplet.class"
standby="Loading of applet in progress..."
height="200" width="350">
<p>Your browser does not seem to have java support enabled
or it does not have a Java Plug-in.<br>
<a href="http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp">You can download
the latest Java Plug-in here. (free download; 15MB)</a></p>
</object>
<!--<![endif]-->
</object>
</p>The above code will work for MSIE 6, Mozilla-based browsers and other standards-based browsers; also, it will validate in either HTML 4.01 transitional or HTML 4.01 strict.
Explanations on the code:
According to HTML 4.01 recommendation, when an <object> is not rendered (because its content type is unsupported or because it does not support ActiveX controls), then the browser should render its contents instead: here, it is another <object>, an alternate <object>. Here, the inner <object> will be rendered by browsers not supporting java plug-in triggered by an ActiveX.
classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93":
this clsid value will make the MSIE 6 browser use the highest possible version (installed on the user's machine) of JRE. Sometimes, MSIE 6 users have several JRE plug-in versions installed.
codebase=
"http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4_2-windows-i586.cab#Version=1,4,2,0":
the codebase defines the minimum version for the JRE; here it is 1.4.2. In case the browser does not have a java plug-in or if its version is earlier than 1.4.2, then an automatic download of the latest 1.4.2 version will start. This may be a debatable choice: on one hand, the latest available JRE plug-in has several security patches and bug fixes, on the other hand, forcing a 15MB download without a prior explicit consent of the user can not be best. -
How to deal future objects and wait calls
Hi all,
How can I handle Future objects if the Callable object calls a wait() into the call() method? If the Callable object is waiting for something, the call Future.get() throws an IllegalMonitorStateException.
For example:
public class Test {
private final ExecutorService POOL = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(1);
private static Random r = new Random(System.nanoTime());
List<Callable> waiting = new ArrayList<Callable>(10);
public Test() {
Future[] res = new Future[10];
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
res[i] = execute();
synchronized (res) {
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
try {
System.err.println(res.get(10L, TimeUnit.MILLISECONDS));
} catch (InterruptedException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (ExecutionException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (TimeoutException e) {
POOL.shutdown();
System.err.println("size: " + waiting.size());
private Future<Integer> execute() {
return POOL.submit(new Executor());
* @param args
public static void main(String[] args) {
Test t = new Test();
private class Executor implements Callable<Integer> {
public Integer call() throws Exception {
Integer value = -1;
try {
value = r.nextInt();
waiting.add(this);
wait(2000);
} catch (InterruptedException e) {
// Thread.currentThread().interrupt();
waiting.remove(this);
return value;
The Object.notify() documentation says:
"This method should only be called by a thread that is the owner of this object's monitor. A thread becomes the owner of the object's monitor in one of three ways:
* By executing a synchronized instance method of that object.
* By executing the body of a synchronized statement that synchronizes on the object.
* For objects of type Class, by executing a synchronized static method of that class.",
so how can the main thread became the owner?Hello,
HR objects are not supposed to be in the SPAU list during the upgrade. It might show though because of the coding error in note 519678. The error wrote entries of HR objects in the tabel SMODILOG which is not supposed to be.
You can try the solution in the note 519678 to remove the entries of HR objects in SMODILOG and after that they will no longer be shown in SPAU.

Creating remote objects and passing the retrieved data to modules
I found at this Adobe tutorial a nice "RemoteService" class that creates a RemoteObject and contains the functions for handling the result and fault events. If I wanted to use this approach, how could I pass the data from the result handler to interfaces that modules from the main application could use?
I could put the RemoteService/RemoteObject in the modules, but (in my opinion- and I could be wrong) the best design seems to be using the remote calls in the main app and passing the data along to the modules.
Ultimately, I would like to know what the "best practices" are for creating remote objects and passing the retrieved data to modules
Thanks!public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
X x = new X(e.getX(), e.getY());
}I don't see the difficulty. -
Hi,
I have a MBP 13' Late 2011 and Yosemite 10.10.2 (14C1514).
Until yesterday, I was using Garmin ConnectIQ SDK and all was working fine.
Yesterday, I've updated my system with latest security updates and Xcode updates too (Version 6.2 (6C131e)).

How to properly handle Exception thrown in a .tag file?
I've got a .jsp file that makes use of some custom tags, each defined in their own .tag file, and located in WEB-INF/tags. I'm having a lot of trouble with the scenario of cleanly dealing with an exception raised by scriptlets in either a .jsp file, and a .tag file. I'm using both Java and Tomcat 6....
Originally, I wanted to use .tag files in order to componentize common elements that were present in .jsp pages, as well as move ugly scriptlets out of .jsp pages, and isolate them in tag files with their associated page elements.
Things started getting hairy when I started exploring what happens when an exception is thrown (bought not handled) in a scriptlet in a .tag file. Basically, my app is a servlet that forwards the user to various .jsp pages based on given request parameters. The forwarding to the relevant .jsp page is done by calls to the following method:
servletContext.getRequestDispatcher("/" + pageName).forward(request, response);
Where 'pageName' is a String with the name of the .jsp I want to go to...
Calls to this method are enclosed in a try block, as it throws both a ServletException, and IOException...
When either my .jsp, or .tag throw an exception in a scriptlet, the exception is wrapped in a JSPException, which is then wrapped in a ServletException.
I can catch this exception in my servlet... but then what? I want to forward to an error page, however, in the catch block, I can't forward in response to this exception, as that results in an IllegalStateException, as the response has already been committed. So what do I do? How do I get from this point, to my "error.jsp" page?
It was suggested to me that I use the <% @ page isErrorPage="true" %> directive in my error.jsp,
and the in my real .jsp, use <%page errorPage="/error.jsp" %>.
This works great when the exception is thrown in my .jsp.... But when the exception is thrown in the .tag file... not so much...
My .jsp page was rendered up until the point where the <my:mytag/> (the tag with the offending raised exception) was encountered. Then, instead of forwarding to the error page when the error in the tag is encountered, the error page is rendered as the CONTENT of of my TAG. The rest of the .jsp is then NEVER rendered. I checked the page source, and there is no markup from the original .jsp that lay below the my tag. So this doesn't work at all. I don't want to render the error page WITHIN the half of the .jsp that did render... Why doesn't it take me away from the .jsp with the offending tag altogether and bring me to the error.jsp?
Then it was suggested to me that I get rid of those page directives, and instead define error handling in the web.xml using the following construct:
<error-page>
<exception-type>java.lang.Exception</exception-type>
<location>/error</location>
</error-page>
<error-page>
<error-code>404</error-code>
<location>/error</location>
</error-page>
For this, I created a new servlet called ErrorServlet, and mapped it to /error
Now I could mangle the end of the URL, which causes a 404, and I get redirected to the ErrorServlet. Yay.
However, exceptions being thrown in either a .jsp or .tag still don't direct me to the ErrorServlet. Apparently this error handling mechanism doesn't work for .jsp pages reached via servletContext.getRequestDispatcher("/" + pageName).forward(request, response) ????
So I'm just at a total loss now. I know the short answer is "don't throw exceptions in a .jsp or .tag" but frankly, that seems a pretty weak answer that doesn't really address my problem... I mean, it would really be nice to have some kind of exception handler for runtime exceptions thrown in a scriptlet in .tag file, that allows me to forward to a page with detailed stacktrace output, etc, if anything for debugging purposes during development...
If anyone has a few cents to spare on this, I'd be ever so grateful..
Thanks!!
JeffWhat causes the exception?
What sort of exception are you raising from the tag files?
Have you got an example of a tag file that you can share, and a jsp that invokes it so people can duplicate the issue without thinking too much / spending too much time?
My first instinct would be that the buffer is being flushed, and response committed before your Exception is raised.
What you describe is pretty much standard functionality for Tomcat in such cases. -
HI Guys...
I am working on a RFC to HTTP scenario:
It is a standard SAP interface ....so we created only ID objects..obviously the BPM delivered by must be correct.
in sxmb_moni_bpe it is throwing th following error texts:
Runtime handle of object type could not be created
Error executing service for node
Exception CX_MERGE_SPLIT occured
component mapping has returned an error
unmodeled exception when executing service for node
No payload found
object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed
I tested the mapping payload from sxmb_moni in IR and it is working fine.
Receiver is an HTTP so could not able to find exactly whats happening as no thrid party tools can be installed....struck up here.
Any iputs will be of help in this area.
Thanx in adavance.
Kiranany inputs around this plz??

Remote Function Call:
RFC is an SAP interface protocol. Based on CPI-C, it considerably simplifies the programming of communication processes between systems.
RFCs enable you to call and execute predefined functions in a remote system - or even in the same system.
RFCs manage the communication process, parameter transfer and error handling.
