Parsing the time stamp

Hi.. I have a text file which has entries with a time stamp of the format yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss:sss
I am able to parse my data to the extent I get this timestamp and other data too... I need to copy this time stamp into a string how do I differentiate it
e.g
2003-10-21 14:35:47,000 INFO
I need to remove this INFO and save the rest.. how can that be achieved in a simple manner..
thanks

If you don't bother about speed and compatibility with older JRE versions (1.3 etc) you can try regular expressions. (Older JRE versions can use ORO that you can get from jakarta.apache.org).
The RE is (I confess that I didn't tested it)
"\\d{4}-\\d{2}-\\d{2} \\d\\d:\\d{2}:\\d{2},\\d{3}"It must match "2003-10-21 14:35:47,000".
I suppose that 7:35AM is written as "07:35". If not, please modify the RE accordingly (where appears "\\d\\d" please write "[0-9 ]"
Use the find, start, end and group methods from the java.util.regex.Matcher class, and the compile method from the Pattern class.
find - returns true if the pattern is found
group - returns the data
start, end - returns the starting and ending positions.

after serval months of rebuidling and creating new identites for Outlook for mac2010 any reasons why this is constantly happening?

I am not sure what you mean by this.
is it ok to delete outlook ID's copy/backup as running out of space?
If you mean you have several identities in the Office Identities folder then yes. You can delete whatever you don need\want except for your current.
Are you updated to the latest version of Office?
After the restore, navigate to ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/your identity and delete the file called Database. Then rebuild.

  • In IPhoto I have edited the order of my images. When I play the album on Apple TV the order reverts back to the time stamp. Any suggestions on how to get the images to play on my TV in the order I want?

Apple TV won't play back my album images from IPhoto in the edited order I want. The order seems to revert back to the time stamp for the photos. I have combined the photos from 3 different cameras and they had slightly different clock settings. I am working on an edited presentation of about 1500 Pics from travels in Turkey this summer and sometimes the order makes more sense if I move some of the images quite a ways. Is there any solution short of changing the time stamp on every single image?

Using the 'adjust date and time' setting is the best way to syncronise the photos from all your cameras. However as you say this merely puts them all in the correct order chronologically.
If there are photos that you feel would be best somewhere else in an album other than in date order, it may depend on how many as to which is the best option for you. If it's only a few you may wish to adjust the date/time on these few manually so they fit in with the rest where you want them.
If you have a lot of photos you want in a different order to the order by date, or you really don't care about what date/time is used and just want them in the order you want them in, then 'batch change' is the best option.
From the view menu, select 'sort photos - manually', drag the photos around until they are in the order you want, select all of them. Now select the batch change option and choose 'Date' from the 'set' options, type in a date and time for the first photo, it can be anything but it's probably a good idea to choose something close to the original date, then check the box 'Add'. You can keep the value set at 1 minute or enter any value you want, it may be more realistic to divide the length of your holiday by the number of photos you have to calculate a value, but it really isn't necessary. Clicking OK will adjust all the dates without affecting the title or description and the photos will now show on the Apple TV in that order.
Just to be sure iTunes is updated, you may want to go to the advanced menu/choose photos to share in iTunes and deselect the album, apply, reselect the album and apply again.

  • How do I see the time stamp from footage

I was wondering if it is possible to see time stamps from footage taken by GoPro camera in FCPX. I can see the duration of the clips and the DATE it was created. I would like to see the actual time it was created. I have 2 cameras that were shooting at the same time and I would like an easier way of sifting through all of the clips to mary them up.
Is there a way to see the time stamp of when the video was taken?
    Thanks

Got ya. I will suggest one more thing: You can add "markers" at points where you can visually (or aurally) see (or hear) a synch point. Once you add these markers, "synchronize clip" will begin to grind out the rest.
Again, if you look at the above tutorial, I think it explains this under "manual" synch.
I don't mean to push this upon you, but... FCPX is GREAT for multi-cam synch. It is the best--I think--in the industry.
Good luck. Sorry if I'm of little help beyond this.

  • Remove the time stamp in a PDF document

So.... I'm hoping that there's a way to remove the time stamp from a PDF document I'm working on. I can't find it in preferences and a search has been less than fruitful. Any ideas??  Thanks!

If you use the redaction tool to redact white space and then apply the redaction, it will give you the option to remove all hidden information. That should do what you wish.

  • When or How does the time stamp on Report Manager / Data Collection change

    Hi,
I have been waiting since 10am waiting for data to be available. Unfortunately, the Sun MC has not updated the time stamp. I am unable to create graphs for the machines I setup this morning? Any ideas on how to post data faster than waiting forever for Sun MC server?
    thanks

    Hi,
Clearly a bug. You can try changing your Tools|Preferences|Database|NLS|Timestamp Format to match the Date Format as a workaround. Otherwise why not upgrade to the lastest production SQL Developer release (3.1.07.42)? The bug does not occur there.

  • Which computer sets the time stamp of a shared variable?

Which computer sets the time stamp of a shared variable? The computer that hosts the variable or the computer writing the variable?
(This is important when the system clocks differ.)
    Greetings,

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Good Question - I have only one use case which is similiar...
I have a cRIO which hosts a NSV library which is bound to a mirror library on the PC.  The PC library
is set to log to a Citadel DB.  When my cRIO RT software writes values to the NSV the timestamp is created
at the instant the write occurs using the RT system clock (which incidentally is sync'd to GPS time).  This timestamp is preverved all
the way up to the PC and the Citadel DB.

  • In deleting an i message  the previous message remains on the screen but with the time stamp of the deleted message . how do i fix this?

in deleting an i message  the previous message remains on the screen but with the time stamp of the deleted message . how do i fix this?

    Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP!  Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process.  Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal.  No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
(Note that I arrived at this solution when I first saw this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570?viewlocale=en_US)
Let me know if this works for you!

  • How do I reset the time in my email.the computer has the right time but the time stamp is three hours earlier. If I go to my ISP website, the time is correct

I was locked out of my ISP mail for a few hours. When it was restored, the time stamp on the email through their website was correct, but the time stamp in Apple mail is 3hr earlier. The clock on ther computer is fine just the time stamp in apple mailis off.
    Thanks

I'm the OP and just read https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5817181 which attempts to outline the error in mavericks with regards to ntpd and pacemaker. I think just replacing the -302.642 with 0.00002 will keep me closer to the mark and I'll anxiously await the real fix as well--in 10.9.2 [hope x3] unless of course someone really knows how to fix this.

  • How to find the time stamp for delata

    Hi Analysts,
I am loading data from R/3 to InfoProvider(Cube or ODS) with delta update.
I have seen nodata was loaded to InfoProvider. But data was available at DataSource. then new delta is started. i want to load the last delta again.
How to see the time stamp of delta?
How to load that delta data?
Please help me in this need.
    Hari.

    Dear Srihari,
if your last delta failed then you can request it again by calling the same delta infopackage again, it will ask for repeat delta (in case last delta has failed), go and run it.
this way you can have your delta figurs back, and do upload via PSA.
    Hope it helps.
