Pass 2 different  parameters from 2 different methods to 1 method

Hi all,
To the method "renameFile" my parameter is "File dst" and
to the method "renameCode" my parameter is "String name".
But I need to get both the parameters "File dst" and "String name" into a single method. Could anyone please help me with this. My code is:
public static void renameFile(File dst) throws IOException
public static void renameCode(String name) throws IOException
But I need both the parameters into the following method as:
public static void filename(File dst, String name) throws IOException
}

The following is my entire class code:
import java.io.File;
import java.io.FileInputStream;
import java.io.FileOutputStream;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.io.InputStream;
import java.io.OutputStream;
public class filesMove
/** Creates a new instance of filesMove */
public filesMove()
public void copyDirectory(File srcDir, File dstDir) throws IOException
copyFile(srcDir, dstDir);
public static void copyFile(File src, File dst) throws IOException
InputStream in = new FileInputStream(src);
OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(dst);
byte[] buf = new byte[1024];
int len;
while((len = in.read(buf)) > 0)
out.write(buf, 0, len);
in.close();
out.close();
renameFile(dst);
public static void renameFile(File dst) throws IOException
combined(code);
public static void renameCode(String name) throws IOException
combined(code);
public static void combined(File dst, String name) throws IOException
//Please tell me how do I get both the parameters "File dst, String name" from the above two methods. Presently its throwing an error

    Hi,
    let me see if I understand you well.
    BSP -
    You wrote the code for catching the user name in the event OnCreate, which means that you know who´s working with the BSP application when it starts.
    Somewhere you must have a button or something with text like "Call WDA application". When user presses the button, it triggers events OnInputProcessing. Here you must write the code for the cookie that "sends" the parameter(s), something like:
    CALL METHOD cl_bsp_server_side_cookie=>set_server_cookie
      EXPORTING
        name                  = 'MY_COOKIE'
        application_name      = 'ZUSER_NAME_GET'
        application_namespace = 'ZUSER_NAME_GET'
        username              =  sy-uname
        session_id            = 'SAME_FOR_ALL'
        data_value            = PAGE_DATA
        data_name             = 'PAGE_DATA'
        EXPIRY_TIME_REL       = 3600.
    you call then the URL for the WDA application.
    WDA -
    probably in method WDDOINIT of the component controller you´ll write the code for reading the "content" of the cookie:
    CALL METHOD cl_bsp_server_side_cookie=>get_server_cookie
      EXPORTING
        name                  = 'MY_COOKIE'
        application_name      = 'ZUSER_NAME_GET'
        application_namespace = 'ZUSER_NAME_GET'
        username              =  sy-uname
        session_id            = 'SAME_FOR_ALL'
        data_name             = 'PAGE_DATA'
    CHANGING
        data_value            = PAGE_DATA.
    read more about the cookies in SDN, because I am not sure if this is the correct example for transmiting values. I´ve used it in conjunction of instructions IMPORT and EXPORT for transmiting an internal table.
    if this is not working properly, then try with IMPORT TO MEMORY and EXPORT FROM MEMORY.

  • Pass Checkbox Parameters from HTML Form to a stored procedure

    I'm still looking for a solution to my forms problem. FYI, I'm not using Applications Express to build my application--I'm using straight PL/SQL. I need to know how to pass checkbox parameters from my Web form. I'm allowing folks to select one or more checkboxes on a form that will call a delete function to delete the selected records. What I read in Oracle's "Database Application Developer's Guide - Fundamentals" isn't helpful to me. If someone would point me to some examples, maybe I could see what I'm doing wrong. Here's what was written in "Database Application Developer's Guide - Fundamentals":
    All the checkboxes with the same NAME attribute make up a checkbox group. If none of the checkboxes in a group is checked, the stored procedure receives a null value for the corresponding parameter.
    If one checkbox in a group is checked, the stored procedure receives a single VARCHAR2 parameter.
    If more than one checkbox in a group is checked, the stored procedure receives a parameter with the PL/SQL type TABLE OF VARCHAR2. You must declare a type like this, or use a predefined one like OWA_UTIL.IDENT_ARR. To retrieve the values, use a loop:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE handle_checkboxes ( checkboxes owa_util.ident_arr )
    AS
    BEGIN
    FOR i IN 1..checkboxes.count
    LOOP
    htp.print('<p>Checkbox value: ' || checkboxes(i));
    END LOOP;
    END;
    SHOW ERRORS;

    I'm not sure I understand what your issue is.
    If your web form has the following checkboxes defined all with the same name:
    <input type="checkbox" name="attrib" value="1">one</input>
    <input type="checkbox" name="attrib" value="2">two</input>
    <input type="checkbox" name="attrib" value="3">three</input>Then you would create and register a procedure to handle the form submission that has a parameter with the name attrib of type owa_util.ident_arr e.g.:
    create or replace procedure handle_form(attrib owa_util.ident_arr) as
      iter number;
    begin
      for iter in attrib.first .. attrib.last loop
        -- do something with attrib(iter)
      end loop;
    end;
    /Now the one problem with this handler (or any form handler for that matter) is that if the user selects none of the check boxes, or no value for any of the expected parameters, the handler would be called with some parameters missing or with out any parameters passed to it, and the call will error out.
    To get around that you need to provide default values for all the parameters passed to your handler including the ident_arr parameters, however with ident_arr parameters that's difficult to do with standalone procedures. If you place your procedure in a package you can define package level variables of the appropriate types that can be used as default values:
    create or replace package my_web as
      empty_arr owa_util.ident_arr;
      procedure handle_form(attrib owa_util.ident_arr := empty_arr);
    end my_web;
    create or replace package body my_web as
      procedure handle_form(attrib owa_util.ident_arr := empty_arr) as
        iter number;
      begin
        for iter in attrib.first .. attrib.last loop
          -- do something with attrib(iter)
        end loop;
      end;
    end my_web;
    /now when you hit the situation where the user doesn't select any check boxes, the call to handle_form won't err out due to missing parameters, and the empty_arr won't have any elements to iterate over so the loop in the procedure body will be fine and you will be able to retrieve each selected check box value from the attrib array when you iterate over it.

  • How to connect two different tables from different server?

    Dear all expert,
    I need to develop a report where i need to connect 2 different tables from 2 different servers. For examples:
    BUT000 tables from CRM and KNKK from R3.
    Is it possible to do so? Because i try to link these 2 tables together and when i preview the report, it run very slow and sometime it hang. I did not get any result.
    Thank You.

    Moved to SAP Integration kit forum
    Appears you are using SAP data sources.
    And yes you can but the linked field types must match and be able to be converted into the WHERE portion of the SQL. Click on Database, Show SQL... and see if there is one. If not CR can't figure out how to so it brings all data client side and filters on the second pass.
    Thank you

  • Issues passing drillthrough parameters from a multi-level tablix in SSRS 2008 R2

    Hello,
    I am really struggling with trying creating a drillthrough report that starts with a matrix (tablix)  and passing those  parameters. I am using SSRS 2008 R2.
    Here's my scenario:
    I have a matrix that has mulitple levels where you can drill down. Here an example with all the levels open:
    Active
    Term
    Leave
    Total
    128
    88
    121
    United States

    I want to drillthrough to another report - Detail Report. As I understand it, I would click the 65 for New York and I would see the detail for the 65 Active people. If I click the 2 under Blois, I would see the 2 terminated people in Blois. My understanding
    for this to work, the Detail Report would need a a parameter for each of the level possibilities in the matrix that I could click: Country, State, City as well as the Status (Active, Term, Leave).
    While I understand about passing parameters, what I don't understand is how to pass the parameters if they are blank. Let's say I clicked 65 for New York, I would need to pass State = New York  Status = Active. But the remaining parameters (Country
    and City  would be null). I know Country doesn't need to be Null in this case.
    My Detail Report has the parameters defaulted to Null, but whether I put the parameters in a Filter for the dataset or in the query itself, I cannot get it to ignore the Nulls.
    As a crazy work-around (I think) I can put in the Where of the query  something along the lines of: this:
            and (a.Country in (@paramCountryCode) or NULL  in (@paramCountryCode) )
    and I would need to do that for each parameter. Usually I have to use 'ALL' instead of NULL, I'm note sure why.
    Additionally, in the Report Action of the Main Report, I need to pass those parameters for each level and their Status. I am also not clear whether or not I need to put in all the parameters on each of the levels (Country, State, City) of the matrix. And if
    I do, do I need to make the expressions an IIF statement stating whether or not they are In Scope?
    All the examples I was able to find, only showed one or maybe two parameters being passed. Doing the way I am trying, seems convoluted, error-prone and tedious. I really hope that I am wrong.
    Is there a better way to approach drilltrough reports from a matrix when there are multiple levels?
    Thank you for the help.
    ~J

    Hi Jenna_Fire,
    According to your description, you have a matrix contains total for each group on each level. Now your requirement is, when you click on any number (data field or total), it will go to the detail report which returns all the detail information of the people
    within the group scope. For example, if you click on the total of Active users in United States, it will return the detail information of Active users in New York and Texas. Right?
    In this scenario, we should set the parameter (@Country, @State, @City) allow multiple values in both main and detail report. And in Default Value (@Country, @State, @City), query out all distinct values. In the textbox which contains
    those total values, when set use these parameters to run the report, we only need to pass the parameters of parent groups. For example, if we click on the total of Active users in New York, we only need to pass Country, State, Status to detail report, and
    in the detail report, the City parameter will use all distinct values (Default Values) because we don't pass the City parameter. We have tested this case with sample data in our local environment. Here are steps and screenshots for your reference:
    1. Create parameter Country, State, City and Status in both main report and detail report. Set both Available Value and Default Value get values from query (Create a dataset for each parameter, use "select distinct [column] from [table]" as query). Set allow
    multiple values for parameter Country, State and City in both reports.
    2. In corresponding textbox, pass appropriate parameters in go to report Action.
    4. Filter data in detail report (in where clause or using filters).
    5. Save and preview. It looks like below:

    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • How does one pass import parameters to a report within a method?

    Hello all,
    Well how does one  pass import parameters to a report which is within a method ...end method.
    for example :
    method 123
    SUBMIT reportname using selection '1000'
    endmethod .
    Here we need to pass values into the selection screen and run the report for those values.
    The values are say 'ABC'   (  tablename "DEF" and field name "HIJ" ).
    I hope the question is clear, awaiting your response
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sandeep.

    Go to SE24
    Parameters: Give the Parameter name, Typing method is "Type" is the domain type that u are selecting, say for e.g :  Parameter is "P_CONT" , its associated type "CHAR32" etc
    For Select Options:  Parameter name say "S_CUST", Type"importing". For this you need to give an associated type which must be created as "TABLE TYPE " in SE11. That table type needs to have a "LINE TYPE" .
    LINE TYPE is a Structure created with components "SIGN, OPTION, LOW & HIGH" for select-Options.
    NOTE: for a Table type related to Customer data fields "say KUNNR", the line type created must have the Component Type and data Type corresponding to the Data Element associated with "KUNNR" ;i.e: "CHAR" etc.
    See if this is clear to you or revert back in case of any Confusion.

  • How to pass Multivalue parameters from main report to the subreport to a database stored procedure

    I am having a Main Report, where the user selects the parameters, and calls the subreport which in turn calls the stored proc which updates the report parameters table, which will be used by all the other sub reports to filter data on.
    It works fine when I pass single values from the Main report to the sub report, and it updates the database, but when I map the formula field to the subreport, the subreport does not even show up, and nothing happens on the database. I am thinking the subreport is not executing. I am using the 'Change Subreport Links' to map the formula fields to the subreport parameters.
    Please let me know if there is any other work around or a sample report which solves a similar problem.

    That is definitely a problem. CR 11.0 has been out of support for 5+ years(?). CR 11.5 has been out of support for close to 3 years.
    As far as I am concerned, the suggestions given here are going for naught as presumably they are based on recent builds of CR (E.g.; CR 12.x or higher). I really doubt that Abhilash or Jamie remember if CR 11.0 had problems related to the issue at hand. But they do know that their suggestions work in current versions of CR.
    Thus a suggestion; I suspect that you should be able to obtain an image from your IT where you can install CR 11.0 and update it to CR 11.5. Then use this as a proof of concept to the powers that be in your org that it is time to get with the times. BTW.; the most current version of CR is CR 2013, version 14.1.x(!). Again, something that your org should be aware of. So, even better than updating the image to CR 11.5, download the free 30 day eval of CR 2013 and try the suggestions in that version. The eval download is here:
    SME Free Trials | SME Software | SAP
    BTW.; CR 2013 is a side by side install, meaning that it will happily co-exist with your current CR 11.0 install.

  • Passing input parameters from an applet to a JSP page

    Hello all,
    Yes, its one of these questions which I have tried to find a solution from the already large number of postings but with no luck. I'm still a novice to Java/JSP so bear with me.
    Consider this scenario.
    1. An applet which has two input boxes (say First name and surname). 2. These parameters will be passed to a JSP page (so the applet will call a JSP page).
    3. The JSP will have have the necessary logic (or actually a JavaBean will) to connect to a database and add a new record with these parameters (first name and surname).
    I also need to consider editing/updating the record in the database. So a JSP page will connect to the database, retrieving the required record from the database and then display the parameters back in an applet in two input boxes (first name and surname) to be edited and saved again.
    I have been able to develop a similar application using simple HTML forms to add and update records in a database so I'm not worried about the database connectivity simply the issue of passing parameters from the applet to the JSP page and vice versa (for edit/update).
    Once i've managed to do this with input boxes, I can experiment with the other input types radios, checkboxes, select etc.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Assad

  • How to pick different files from different locations

    suppose ur having multiple files(csv) from different locations,then how do u move those files to the SAP system.Please expalin me the scenario

    Venu,
    If the files are present in different folders, then you need different sender communication channels to bring this data to XI. Regarding connection with SAP, you can go for a proxy (If the webAs version is > 6.2) or else go for an IDOCor RFC adapter.

  • Different results from Different Printers

    I have noticed that the horizontal location of my fillRect() will vary from printer to printer, but the location of my drawString() works
    consistently, why is this? Thank you EXTREMELY much if you can help me out.
    AC

    AC,
    The problem is because device-space varies from printer to printer, monitor to monitor, etc. Graphics2D has classes that you can use to make your application independant of devices, so that the output is consistant no-matter what you look at it on.
    Try looking into documentation/APIs for:
    java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment
    java.awt.print.Printable
    java.awt.print.PageFormat
    java.awt.print.PrinterJob
    You should be able to make it look the same on any printer, if you factor in the graphics environment into your code.
    Although, I'm not sure why fillRect and drawString both do not render on different spots on different printers.

  • How to pass GET parameters from BPEL to webservice?

    Hi,
    How can I pass GET parameters to webservice from BPEL. For example if a webservice expects to get 2 parameters as GET parameters like the following URL:

    How can I pass parama and paramb to the webservice call?

    Hello Ronen,
    Im assuming that you're using SOA Suite 11g. The developer guide describes the following: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29505_01/dev.1111/e10224/sca_bindingcomps.htm#CHDEEGDC

  • In a single program how to lookup different EJB from different application

    Hi,
    I have deployed two applications app1 and app2 on oc4j.
    There is a stateless session bean in a1 called ejb1.
    And there is also a stateless session bean ejb2 in app2.
    I write a test jsp in app1 to lookup ejb1 and ejb2 as an application client. So I need to create an application-client.xml for it.
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE application-client PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application Client 1.2//EN" "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/application-client_1_2.dtd">
    <application-client>
    <display-name>ejbs</display-name>
    <ejb-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb1</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <home>class_of_ejb1Home</home>
    <remote>class_of_ejb1</remote>
    </ejb-ref>
    <ejb-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb2</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>ejb2</ejb-ref-type>
    <home>class_of_ejb2Home</home>
    <remote>class_of_ejb2</remote>
    </ejb-ref>
    </application-client>
    However, When I run the test.jsp, It will report following error:
    javax.naming.NamingException: Error reading application-client descriptor: No location specified and no suitable instance of the type 'class_of_ejb2' found for the ejb-ref ejb2
    In fact, if I only lookup any of the ejb and the application-client.xml just specify only the according ejb-ref, everything is alright.
    But how to construct the application-client.xml so that it can suitable for 2 different ejb in different application? Do I miss something in doing it?
    Kindly advice!
    Queeny Tang

    Hi Debabrata Panda,
    I did add parent in web.xml, but it still encounter
    "Error reading application-client descriptor: No location specified and no suitable instance of the type 'class_of_ejb2' found for the ejb-ref ejb2"
    In my program, a jsp in app2 will lookup ejb1 of app1. In the same way, a jsp in app1 will lookup ejb2 of app2.
    if I declare in server.xml
    <application name="app2" path="../applications/app2.ear" parent="app1" auto-start="true" />
    <application name="app1" path="../applications/app1.ear" parent="app2" auto-start="true" />
    That will cause error reading application-client.xml for all
    ejbs.
    How to solve this.
    Thanks in advance!
    Yours Queeny

  • Live view doesn't correctly pass URL parameters from HTML docs?

    Running into something that I wonder if anyone else has seen.  I've created a site in DW CS5 with a local testing server (XAMPP on Win7), and if I use LiveView to view an HTML page that has a link to a PHP page that includes a URL parameter, the parameter shows up in the LiveView address bar, but the page doesn't seem to use it (trying to display an image where the file is built using $_GET to retrieve the parameter).  The same HTML page, displayed in a browser, works.  And if I then save the HTML page as a PHP page in DW, identical code, LiveView works.  Sure looks like LiveView will does not properly handle URL parameters from HTML documents...

    Sorry if I wasn't clear... the navigation works correctly; I get to the page I'm tyring to get to.  One of the things that page should do is display an image, the I use a URL parameter to build the image file name to retrieve.  The link in the first page is something like <a href="gallery.php?pg=1">.  Works fine if the first page (the one I'm navigating from) is a PHP page, doesn't work (with the same code which is only HTML) if the page is an HTML page.

    public interface MyWebServicePortType {
         * @param parameters
         * @return
         *     returns org.bar.transactionresponse.TransactionResponse
        @WebMethod(operationName = "ProcessTransaction")
        @WebResult(name = "TransactionResponse", targetNamespace = "http://bar.org/TransactionResponse", partName = "parameters")
        public TransactionResponse processTransaction(
            @WebParam(name = "ProcessTransactionRequest", targetNamespace = "http://bar.org", partName = "parameters")
            ProcessTransactionRequest parameters);
    }Which is workable, but I was wondering how to modify the WSDL to get a web method signature similar to:
    public TransactionResponse processTransaction(
            @WebParam(name = "Transaction", targetNamespace = "http://foo.org/Transaction", partName = "transaction")
            Transaction transaction,
            @WebParam(name = "TransactionTime", targetNamespace = "http://bar.org", partName = "transactionTime")
            XMLGregorianCalendar transactionTime);With two parameters in the parameter list instead of one. Is there a way to do this?

    Try changing the <xsd:element name="ProcessTransactionRequest"> element name to: <xsd:element name="ProcessTransaction"> and update the reference to it in the <wsdl:message name="ProcessTransactionRequest"> message.
    In order to use wrapper style, your WSDL needs to have the following characteristics:
    1) The operation's input and output messages (if present) each contain a single part
    2) The input message part refers to a global element declaration whose localname is equal to the operation name
    3) The output message refers to a global element declaration
    4) The elements referred to by the input and output message parts (henceforth referred to as wrapper elements) are both complex types defined using the xsd:sequence compositor
    5 The wrapper elements only contain child elements, they must not contain other structures such as wildcards...

  • Passing of data from different Oracle Clients

    Hi
    I have old database with Oracle 7i as its client. In this database(GPS system dbase)
    I need 3 columns in TABLE_A with almost 50 millions of data.
    TABLE_A
    dates_in DATE
    user VARCHAR2(20)
    status VARCHAR2(20)
    The database structure for 7i acts as a read only database because were not allow to run any objects there. My objective is that I need to get dynamic data from TABLE_A (updated when there is user that log in the system ) as fast as possible. Ive tried some set up below.
    1) I created trigger upon insert in TABLE_A and pass all the data thru dblink to Oracle 8i then to 9i. --Best possible solutions but were not allowed to do this since were not allow to run any objects in Oracle 7i(GPS database).
    2) I created view in 8i data coming from TABLE_A thru dblink. Then I created a procedure populating the table in 8i and then jobs that run this procedure every 20seconds. --very slow eventhough I've created index
    Any idea from all of you masters??

    I need to get the data from TABLE_A in Oracle 7i (GPS database). This data will be used to plot the current position and status of user in GIS map with Oracle 9i client. I need to get the newly inserted data in the TABLE_A(approx 50 records/min is inserted on this regularly)
