Pass mulpliple values to variable

Hi,
I have create a variable and then have created multiple interfaces that use that variable in a filter.
Now I will be creating a package that will have all these interfaces. I'm trying to figure out if its possible to pass multiple values to the variable e.g. 1000,1002 (like an oracle in statement).
Thanks
Regards

Hi,
I tried using ('a','b') but got an error when trying to execute the scenario.
I have an alphanumeric variable defined which I use in my package, this works fine for one value, but when I try multiple values it gives error (ora 01797)
Can you tell me the correct syntax.

    Work Around !
    You can execute OS commands using Jython script. Probably you need to flush your enviornment variables value into a file using jython script and then read those value into ODI variable from the file.
    BUt may I know why you want to read environment variable vaules in ODI, Dont you think this will make your application less portable

  • How to pass attribute values through variables in JSP  Custom TagLib

    Hi,
    Can anybody help me how to pass values through varuables in the jsp custom tag.
    i am using JSP custom tag. I am unable to pass attribute values through variables.
    <invitation:invdetails invid="<%=invid%>"/> The value is passing as <%=invid%> ,not value of the invid.
    But i am getting throuh the fllowing
    <invitation:invdetails invid='1' />
    Please anybody suggest me how to pass value by using the variable.

    Hi,
    It sounds like you need to set the <rtexprvalue> tag to true in the TLD for your tag. If you do this the tag will read in the value you are trying to pass to it.

  • To pass the values through variable in JDBC adapter

    Hello,
    We are working in JDBC adapter. Currently we have written the select statement in JDBC sender adapter to select all the values from the table in SQL SERVER.
    Instead of this, Can we use a variable and pass the values in there from XI in order to select the records from the table based on values in the variable?
    Expecting Advice!
    Thanks,
    Lakshmi.

    Hi krishnan,
    You can use the JDBC receiver adapter to acheive a select using variables. Here you create a canonical XML format(your XSD) based on which the JDBC receiver adapter issues a select and returns you the response. chk this url in help site http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm for the canonical format.
    However u lose the flexibility of polling the table at regular tables available with sender adapter. Also you need an event(a message) to trigger this select query execution, since it is a receiver CC config.

    PreparedStatement stmt = conn.prepareStatement(cmd);
    stmt.setString(1,theRole);

  • How to import values from txt and pass values to variables

    I need to export some variables from Indesign and import them in Illustrator.  I can export a txt file from InDesign but I don't know how to import and pass the values to variables in Illustrator.
    Can someone help?

    Well from you ID script Im presuming that you are simply writing a few lines of info to a plain text file like so…
    writeFile('SomeData');
    writeFile('AnotherData');
    writeFile('LastData');
    function writeFile(info) {
         try     {
              var log = File('~/Desktop/ID_Data.txt');
              log.open('a');
              log.write(info + '\r');
              log.close()
         catch (e) {
              alert(e);
    So you would just read this back where or when ever you need to use it in your Illustrator script…
    var log = File('~/Desktop/ID_Data.txt');
    log.open('r');
    var a = log.readln();
    var b = log.readln();
    var c = log.readln();
    log.close();
    alert(a);

  • How to pass a value to a bind variable in a query report in oracle apex

    Hi Guys,
    I have requirement to send weekly reports via email to some users. The users should receive their own records in the report. The user details is stored in a table. What I am planning to do is to create a report query in oracle apex to generate the report and then run a function/procedure via a scheduler to email the report to respective users. Now my query is ............. is it possible to pass a value (user name) to the report query to pull records of only that user? I know we can have bind variables in the report query but I have no idea how to pass a value for bind variables from a function/procedure.
    Can anyone help me on this issue or suggest a better approach?
    Thanks,
    San

    You need to use dynamic sql
    But please keep in mind that since you're using Oracle you may be better off posting this in some Oracle forums
    This forum is specifically for SQL Server

  • How to pass the values to stored proc using presentation variable in OBIEE

    Need your help regarding in resolving an issue in OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
    There are 6 reports say ‘A’,’B’,’C’,’D’,’E’,’F’ in the same subject area.
    The reports are being configured with prompts using either the repository/presentation variables.
    One of the reports say ‘A’ has been configured to pass the values using presentation variables from the prompt in Advanced Tab of the report request to the stored procedure defined in the Execute Before Query section of the connection pool.
    After running another report ‘B’ in the same subject area, upon visiting the report ‘A’ view display error is being seen ( Please have a look below screen shot for your reference) .
    Speculate the issue is around presentation variables of report ‘A’ getting initialized even before running the report.
    Appreciate your earliest advise as this is a prod issue.

    Hi Prasad,
    I got your note, you should not use Session variable syntax to call presentation variable.
    you should use like @{AIC_PROJ_PLAT_SEQ_NO}
    One more thing: first test the variable AIC_PROJ_PLAT_SEQ_NO value then try to pass to SP.
    Hope this helps

  • Unable to pass the values to stored proc using presentation variable in OBI

    Hi All,
    Need your help regarding in resolving an issue in OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
    There is an OBIEE requirement whereby two prompts need to be defined.
    1.     Textbox prompt
    2.     Drop-down prompt
    The dropdown values should be populated using textbox prompt. So, we have used presentation variable in textbox prompt and passing the same to select query of drop-down.
    Until this step, the report works just fine.
    Now, the value in both textbox and drop-down needs to be passed to stored proc.
    While trying to pass the values by using the presentation variable, the following error comes-up saying
    Session variable has no value definition.
    Note:Although the corresponding session variable has been set to default value,still the error appears.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Prasad

    "Session variable has no value definition" I'm assuming typo error and it should be presentation variable.
    Set default value for presentation variable that may work

  • How to pass a function with the same argument multiple times and return values in variables?

    The problem I have is I created a function which really is some kind of database.  Basically a bunch of:
    if (a.value == "this number"){
    b.value = "this expression";
    Inside the form are 2 dropdown lists that return numerical values which I want to process through that function and put the return value inside separate variables.
    var a = this.getField("OPE003.EVEN.1.MIP");
    Mip(a);
    var result1 = Mip();
    I tried to overwriting *a* to process the second field
    a = this.getField("OPE003.EVEN.2.MIP");
    Mip(a);
    var result2 = Mip();
    result1 and result2 are put in an array, joined as a string.
    Doing so, I always get the last processing twice as the final result.
    Can I use a function as a batch processing tool that way?

    You are right, I changed the code to what you said but how do I pass another value through my fonction so I can get Result1 and Result2?
    is it
    var a = this.getField("OPE003.EVEN.1.MIP");
    var b = this.getField("OPE003.EVEN.2.MIP");
    var result1 = Mip(a);
    var result2 = Mip(b);
    var c = new Array[result1, result2]

  • How can I pass a value field to a global variable?

    I have a doubt,
    I wnat to know if is possible to pass a value field to a global variable inside of DataFlow?
    That a try to do is at the time to execute a JOB on line (real time), depending of the value field that i receive, only certain DATAFLOWS will be executed  depending of the value field.
    I hope you can help me.
    Kind regards!!!

    It can be done via various ways, your approach is kind of odd, though.
    You are saying you have one kind if Input message, depending on the flag you want to do different transformations. The way you envision that is by loading that flag into a global variable and use different dataflows then.
    Can you use different dataflows within one Realtime Job? Yes, usually the first loads an in-memory datastore.
    Can you write into a global variable? Yes and No. Not directly, but you can write the value into e.g. a database and using the sql() function read it from there. But why would you. You could write it into the in-memory datastore. And then you run your n dataflows, each has a filter. So only one of these dataflows will actually process the data.
    Are there other approaches? I would have a Case transform at the beginning and route the data into different queries depending on the data. So all in one dataflow. Your approach is fine for a batch dataflow where a dataflow is started, does something and then ends. But that's not how it works in Realtime!

  • How to pass values to variables in WAD 7.0 using java script

    Hi.,
    My requirement is based on WAD 7.0.
    The sales value has to displayed in WAD using graph with various chart types.
    I have created variables for plant and material group in a query.
    I have created drop down box for plant with all plants in it, check box for material group and a Submit button in WAD in FORM tag of HTML coding.
    Once all the values are set in drop down box, checkbox and if the user clicks on submit button, the values has to captured by the variables for which I have created and the graph has to be aligned to the new values in variables.
    Kindly help me how to use java script to get the values from FORM and pass it to variables.
    Regards,
    Selva

    Hi Selva,
    You do not need to use Javascript for this. Instead you can achieve this by using API Commands in WAD 7.0.
    Please configure Action on the ButtonGroup webitem to use 'Commands'.
    ->Choose Command 'Set Variables Values / SET_VARIABLES_STATE' under Commands for Web Templates
    ->Set Display Variable Screen setting to OFF
    ->Choose Query Variable for Plant, Select Variable Type as 'Binding Type', Binding Type as 'Data Provider Selection', Data Provider as the one you have assigned to the Dropdown webitem, Characteristic as 0PLANT or as that assigned to the Dropdown webitem
    ->Repeat above steps for Query Variable Material Group
    Now when you make a selection from the Dropdown webitems, the Chart output will change accordingly. Let me know if this helps.

    Hi,
    The 'input' normally is a field with nested structures.
    That may be the case here.
    You can you the following code instead:
    data: LS_LINE like line of INPUT-ENTRADA-ITEM-ZCO_BUDGT_MI_IN_ZBAPI_KP06_EN.
    or if you have a different nesting, try:
    data: LS_LINE like table of INPUT-ENTRADA-ITEM,
          LS_ITEM like line of <LS_LINE>.
    or other suitable declaration
    Then, in the code:
    loop at INPUT-ENTRADA-ITEM-ZCO_BUDGT_MI_IN_ZBAPI_KP06_EN into LS_LINE.
    ENDLOOP.
    or,
    loop at INPUT-ENTRADA-ITEM into LS_LINE.
    loop at LS_LINE into LS_ITEM.
    endloop.
    endloop.
    if you still have questions, let me know the structure of the 'input', with the table types involved.
    Cheers,
    Bhanu
