Pass through scenario using AS2

Hi,
Iam getting a file from sender in some standard format which I have to pass to target system as it is. We have AS2 sender adapter and File FTP receiver adapter. Can I create a passthrough scenario using AS2 sender adapter and also with ecryption/decryption security?
Regards
Amol

Hi,
>>>Can I create a passthrough scenario using AS2 sender adapter and also with ecryption/decryption security?
only up to the AS2 adapter as file adapter does not support encryption/decryption

  • Pass through scenario in SAP PI with no mapping for File to IDoc and Idoc to file scenarios

    Hi Experts,
Can i have step by step process in SAP PI for pass through scenario with no mapping in case of file to Idoc and Idoc to file both cases please.
    What objects i can skip.
My PI system is 7.3 dual stack.
I have seen below blogs, still its confusing to me.
When and how to create an scenario in SAP PI without mapping objects.
Pass Through Scenario with no Mapping in PI 7.1
    Appreciate your help on this.
    Regards,
    Mohan.

    Hi Mohan
In pass thru interface you don't need to create any ESR objects, only ID objects are required.
Just Create a Receiver Determination and Receiver Agreement for your scenario (no need for Interface Det. and Sender Agreement).
Specify the IDOC in the Sender Interface and namespace as urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages
Or instead of creating objects manually, Run the wizard with Idoc name/namespace in sender/receiver interface

  • X240 - is there audio pass-through when using a miniDP to HDMI?

I have an X240, which I love, but now that I've cut my cable cord and am going with Netflix and other on-line streaming options, I'd like to be able to view my streaming programs on my TV.  Can I use a cable or adapter to go from the miniDP (on the X240) to my HDMI (on my TV) and get audio as well as video?  I understand my laptop needs to have an "audio pass-through" for that to work --- I don't know what it is, but I'd like to know if this one's got it.  I bought the laptop online in Dec 2013, if that makes a difference.
(Yes, I could stream Netflix from a gadget like Chromecast, but that will only get me Netflix Canada, whereas using a VPN on my computer I can get Netflix from other countries too.)

refreshing this discussion!   I've tried a mini DP to HDMI dongle with an HDMI-HDMI cable to the TV - and I get video but no audio.  My computer recognizes the TV as present as as audio playback device, but no audio is transmitted through TV or computer. when it's plugged in.  Of course I still get audio from the computer's speakers when it's not plugged in

  • Reading hyper-v pass-through disks using WMI?

How do I read pass-through disks for a guest VM from a Hyper-V using WMI? I'd like to read the pass-through disks that are available to a guest VM using the below mentioned ways:
    1. Add a disk to Hyper-V server, take it offline and assign it as a physical disk to VM
    2. Configure iSCSI initiator in guest VM to get a disk directly from storage array
    3. Use VFC to export a fiber channel lun to guest VM directly.
    Thanks/Hem

You had another post with very similar questions, and I replied to it.  A broad answer is to use PowerShell as it does most, if not all, of the WMI work for you.  If you are having issues, it would be helpful for you to post specific questions
about the issues you are seeing.  If they are scripting questions, you would reach more scripting experts in the Scripting Guys forum (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/scriptcenter/en-US/home?forum=ITCG).
And you can go to the scripting gallery (http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/) to find examples of many, many different things.

  • Flat-file and the pass-through pipeline

    Hi there,
I have  a technical questions about the inner workings of BizTalk.
The MSDN says that BizTalk is XML-centric and enything that is going through it and is posted to the MsgBox is converted to XML format.
The question: Is this also true in a scenario including flat-file and a pass-through pipeline ?
Lets say the flat file needs not to be translated, the external organisation will except the flat-file format we are receiving on the receive port. So we use the receive location with the pass-thrugh pipeline (a pipilene without any components in it) and
a send port with a simple filter pointed to the ReceivePort name. No need to convert the file to XML whatsoever, and it would be a waist of time and resources IMHO.
So the question is, will BizTalk (being XML-centric) do the translation anyway ? In what format is the received file being posted and stored in the MsgBoxDb ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Peter

In a pass-through scenario (with pass-through pipelines) BizTalk will not process the message payload.
    More information here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa561008.aspx
The pass-through receive pipeline has no components. It is used for simple pass-through scenarios when no message payload processing is necessary. This pipeline is generally used when the source and the destination of the message are known, and the message
requires no validation, encoding, or disassembling. This pipeline is commonly used in conjunction with the pass-through send pipeline.

  • Encoding Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC3) sound in MP4 files using AC3 pass-through

Looking for an application that will encode Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC3) sound in an .mp4 container using AC3 pass-through for playing videos with surround sound on ATV.
Handbrake is out of the question because I run Tiger. The Tiger version cannot do AC3 pass-through.
Visual Hub is no longer available.
    Any other options?

You may need Apple's MPEG2 QT plugin as well for MPEGStreamclip.
Also, consider if running windows in parallels/Boot Camp etc that there's a windows version, and possibly a linux version.
VisualHub code was released open source - Google FilRedux and PunyVid (iSquint derivative). Not tried either though.

    Hi Guys,
can we associate catalog to user through scenario in ATG10.2  instead using the CatalogProfilePropertySetter?
If it is yes, can you please provide the steps.

Yes, you should be able to do it. Take a look at catalog scenario present within MotorpriseJSP reference application which assigns a default catalog to the user profile if profile doesn't already have a catalog.

  • Pass Through Auth Not Using Novell eDirectory Over RDP - Virtual Desktop

    Hi,
I have installed and configured SGD and the Virtual Desktop Adapter to a Virtual Center server. So far that whole side of things is working great. Machines are cloned, prepped and connected to by users through the My Desktop link in SGD. Now that I am attempting to perfect the master template I have encountered some issues. The network here is Novell eDirectory and at the moment when the desktop is launched the username and password used to authenticate to the SGD webtop are passed through to the Virtual Machine, but it seems that they are passed through to the Windows Authentication System/GINA even though the Novell client is in place.
The virtual machines are Windows XP and by default none of the user accounts exist locally, so of course the login fails. This drops the user back to the login box where it can be seen that the Workstation Only tick box is checked. Settings in the Novell client to always default to eDirectory authentication, forget last setting used etc has all been set properly. Even when hiding the Workstation Only tickbox the username and password are passed to local system authentication still.
I need to get the username and password sent to the Novell eDirectory authentication system/GINA in order for Zenworks to create the user on the local system. When dropping back to the login box and manually unticking the Workstation Only box login proceeds normally. Drives are mapped and the local user account is created by the Zenworks agent.
Is SGD specifically targeting an authentication subsystem within the virtual machine, regardless of your installed authentication handler/GINA preference order? Can I get SGD to pass the details to the Novell client? Barring that is there some way I can prevent SGD passing the details? I tried turning off some of the authentication details caching etc but some of that is needed to rename the virtual machines after the user connecting. For the time being having users authenticate twice would be acceptable, having them login in, then get an error message, then manually unticking Workstation Only then relogging in is not acceptable.
I have been searching these forums, Novell forums, Terminal Server forums for answers but so far nothing has been of any help. Please note that the login box is not the cut down/windows only login box that users are seen when they connect over RDP to a machine that already has a user logged in locally. There is no user logged in locally and the full login box is presented once the login failed message is cleared.
Any help, or even a nudge in the right direction would be great.
    Thanks
    Russ

    Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I tried the full context user name path as well, but its defiantly just being passed to a different GINA. The only credentials that determine if you have RDP access to a server is the local machines credentials, so Microsoft have the service pass authentication straight to the Microsoft GINA non-interactively instead of honouring the installed GINA's. So it will fail no matter what I put in since the account doesn't exist locally yet. People have implemented solutions that depend on Active Directory domains, but that's what I am trying to avoid.
In that situation the AD Domain would allow access to the local machine based on Windows permissions, and a registry setting TSAutoLogin or something would trigger the Novell log in in parallel to map the Netware shared volumes. With no domain you can't get the initial log in triggered for the Novell client to kick in.
Connecting to the virtual machine using an RDP client without pre-entering authentication information does show the Novell Login (NWGINA) with all the right settings in place, so I have modified the expect (login) script for SGD not to automatically pass log in information through with the RDP connection it makes. The result is a clean Novell login box without any errors that a user can just enter their details into a second time.

  • How do you disable postscript pass-through using Mac OSX 10.6

My Phaser 4600DN prints quite slowly when printing a PDF, a 28 page documents takes nearly 7 minutes to print. On Windows 7 PC the same document takes 6 minutes to print. If I disable Postscript Pass-Through option on the driver the 28 page documents takes two minutes to print. I need to know if there is a similar option in Mac OS 10.6.8?

    andyfoster wrote:

If, when printing to a Postscript printer, an app generates its own Postscript programme, it is possible for the printer driver to send it directly to the printer w/o any other modification; this is called Postscript pass-through. CUPS, the Mac OS X printing system, does allow for this option, but it is implemented in the printer driver, not the OS. So, whether or not disabling this option is available to you depends on the driver for your printer. Consult its docs or ask Xerox tech support.

  • Idoc to Different Trading partners using AS2 Adapter

    Hello experts,
I have a requirement where we have to send an Idoc to different trading partners using van.
On the receiver side AS2 adapters will be used. There are many trading partners here. Can someone guide me through? ..
The entire scenario will be done in SAP PO 7.4
Breaking the entire scenario in the following parts---
1)IDoc on sender side--What will be partner profile type? Will it LS or any other (BP, GP or KU??)
2)AS2 configuration details---AS2 adapter is available in the dropdown of adapter list. What are the config details for AS2?
3)Trading partner mechanism-How this can be achieved?..what this essentially achieves ? any step by step guide available? Does it take care of sending the Idoc only to VAN or sending Idoc to different trading partners directly bypassing VAN?
4)Is using NWDS suggestible?--Is it convenient?
Any help/step by step blog will be of great help.
If I miss anything in the entire scenario, please let me know
    Thanks
    Ayan Chaudhuri

    Hi Ajay,
1)IDoc on sender side--What will be partner profile type? Will it LS or any other (BP, GP or KU??)
-->>The partner type is depend on your scenario. AS2 adapter is used for B2B communication and usually to vendor and customers.
This purchase Order should go to the particular vendor as a sales order. Then we use partner type as LI -- Vendor.
Similarly when we sell some materials to our customers, we create the Sales order to our customer. Then we use Partner type as KU - Customer
    Partner Type GP---Business Partner
    Partner Type KU---Customer
    Partner Type LI---Vendor
    Partner Type LS---Logical system
    Partner Type US--User
2)AS2 configuration details---AS2 adapter is available in the dropdown of adapter list. What are the config details for AS2?
-->> to configure as2 connection you need following details from trading partner
    AS2 ID
    server address with URL extension
    TP certificate
MDN address and type (Sync, asyn and signed or not signed)
    Message communication encryption algorithm
Compression is required or not and if req. which algorithm to use
3)Trading partner mechanism-How this can be achieved?..what this essentially achieves ? any step by step guide available? Does it take care of sending the Idoc only to VAN or sending Idoc to different trading partners directly bypassing VAN?
-->> If you are communicating through VAN then you need to send the message to VAN and VAN will route the message to respective TP.
4)Is using NWDS suggestible?--Is it convenient?
-->> NWDS is another option to create scenario, it is depend on developer which one he want to use.

  • Connection with external System using AS2/SFTP adapter.

    Hi All,
I need to use SFTP/AS2 to connect to an external Server which is not in our landscape.
Can anybody could help whether i need to create a party on the Sender side as sender system is an external Server.
I have gone through many docs but i am not clear when to use party and when not..?
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul
Whether to use a party or not is both an architectural question as well as a development question.
Architecturally, if an external server is not in your landscape and belongs to a different company/entity, your scenario would be a B2B process. You can refer to the below link for more details about B2B, but I've included a short snippet below too.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/c7a475da5e31ebe10000000a42189b/content.htm
Using a communication party, you address a company that is involved in a B2B process.
The (technical) name of the communication party (for example Bosch) is the identifier for the company within an Integration Directory. To be able to identify the company during any external communication using a globally unique ID, you specify alternative identifiers for a communication party. For external communication, the name of the communication party that is known internally is mapped to the ID. A particular identifier is specified in the communication channel (see below).
In terms of development, not all adapters (FTP, SFTP, SOAP, etc) require the use of a party object when you develop a B2B integration scenario. There are companies which have implemented all B2B scenarios using those adapters in an A2A style (using just Business Systems.)
As Harish has mentioned, if you use the Seeburger AS2 adapter, you will need the party object (AS2ID is configured there), but if you use the SFTP adapter, it is optional.
For your case, I'd recommend going with Party to clear distinguish that it is a B2B process.

  • Data Guard as a pass through?

    Scenario is . . .
    Host A is the Primary
    Host B is a Standby
    Host C is a Standby
Now I know we can set up A->B and A->C
Can we set up A->B->C ?
Essentially using B as a pass through between A and C. Or you can see it as B being in a DMZ.
Would B have to be Active Data Guard or anything special?
I guess what I am really asking is can a Standby be used as the source for another Standby.

See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10700/cascade_appx.htm#i638620 for more information on Cascaded Standby Destinations. There are a few restrictions:
    Cascading has the following restrictions:
    * Logical and snapshot standby databases cannot cascade primary database redo.
    * SYNC destinations cannot cascade primary database redo in a Maximum Protection Data Guard configuration.
    * Cascading is not supported in Data Guard configurations that contain an Oracle Real Applications Cluster (RAC) primary database.
    * Cascading is not supported in Data Guard broker configurations.
Keep an eye on this chapter and Note 409013.1 "Cascaded Standby Databases" when the next patch set for 11.2 comes out :^)

  • Modem Pass through to remote PBX

    Dear All,
I would like to use the cisco router 3640 (with T1 card) and cisco 2621 (with 2 x FXS card) to simulate the network & pstn environment to test the modem pass through, here is the detail connection:
    Analog Phone (Ext: 451660) <--> [FXS] Cisco Router 2621 <---- LAN ----> Router 3640 [T1] <--> [T1] PBX (Panasonic) <--> Analog Phone (Ext: 454820, Modem)
The dial-peer on the router 2621 & 3640 is working as I can call in/out from PBX analog phone, and I was success to connect the PC (with modem port, and use the hyperterminal, atdt454820) from Outside PC (with modem port, Ext: 451660).
But I was fail to dial-out from PBX analog phone (454820) to 451660.
    From Cisco router 2600:
    dial-peer voice 45166 voip
    destination-pattern 45166.
modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw redundancy
    session target ipv4:192.168.0.60 (Router 3640)
    From Cisco router 3640
    dial-peer voice 454820 voip
    destination-pattern 454820
modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw redundancy
    session target ipv4:192.168.0.44 (Router 2600)
Here is the link I try to follow to do:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_1t/12_1t3/feature/guide/dtmodptr.html
I would like to know if there is any miss-configure or how can I troubleshoot (to find out the cause) which I cannot connect from PBX' PC.
    Thanks!

Note that anytime a call traverses a voice gateway, we match *two* dial-peers, not one.  We match one inbound, and one outbound.  In your scenario, if the FXS side originates the call, it would be:
    fxs(inbound pots)router(outbound voip)----LAN-----(inbound voip)router(outbound pots)---T1
The algorithm for how this works is documented in this link.  I recommend having a few reads over this:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk90/technologies_tech_note09186a008010fed1.shtml
If you can get these debugs, I can take a deeper look into the failure:
    debug voip ccapi inout
    debug isdn q931
    debug vpm sig
    debug h225 asn1
    debug h245 asn1
Collect these in the following manner:
    Router(config)# service sequence
Router(config)# service timestamps debug datetime msec
    Router(config)# logging buffered 10000000 7
    Router(config)# no logging con
    Router(config)# no logging mon
    Router(config)# voice iec syslog
    Router# term len 0
    Router# sh logg
Also send the full configs of both gateways.

  • Cannot clear "Current read-only" on pass through disk

This is not the end of the world, but it's very annoying so I'm hoping somebody can explain what's going on or perhaps suggest some additional troubleshooting.
Here's the scenario: Server 2012 Core VM  with the file services role installed and running as a role on a Server 2012 Hyper-V failover cluster. IDE 0 is a standard VHDX in clustered storage. There are 2 pass through disks on SCSI targets 1 and 2. I
proceed to attempt to add a 3rd pass-through disk:
    1. Create a 750GB LUN
    2. Mask the LUN to the cluster
    3. Online the new disk on a cluster node
    4. Initialize the disk on the node
    5. Offline the disk
    6. Using Failover manager, add the disk as new Available Storage in the cluster
    7. Using Failover manager to modify the file server VM's settings, add the new storage to SCSI target 3
    8. Using diskpart on the VM, clear the readonly flag from the disk
At this point, I was able to create a partition on the disk using new-partition with the -usemaximumsize flag, but I was unable to format it. It turns out the new partition size was 0 bytes. So I went back into diskpart and lo and behold, although the readonly
flag is cleared, the "Current readonly status" on the disk is still yes.
To test the issue, I offlined the disk in the VM, removed it from the virtual SCSI chain, removed it from cluster storage and then onlined it in the owner node. I was able to partition it, format it and create an empty folder, so it is not flagged readonly
    at the host or SAN.
So I offlined it on the node and added it back to cluster available storage and then added it back to SCSI target 3 on the VM.
Again, I removed the readonly flag from the disk and again it cleared but the disks "current" status remained "Yes" and I was unable to manipulate the disk.
Stop/start vds did nothing and as this is a production server I could not restart it midday.
So I offlined the disk in the VM and removed it from SCSI target 3, then added it to SCSI target 4. This time, when I online it in the VM and use diskpart to clear readonly, both readonly and "current" readonly clear just fine and now the pass-through
disk is operating as expected alongside the other 2 pass-through disks on the server.
Any ideas what went wrong in all this or how I can clear SCSI target 3 for another disk without having to restart the VM?

    Hi,
If the disk that you want to add appears in Disk Management but does not appear after you click Add a disk, confirm that the disk is configured as a basic disk, not a dynamic
disk. Only basic disks can be used in a failover cluster.
