Pass value text variables

Hello
I have the following slope in a development, have 2 variables of user exit for 0calmonth (present period and previous period), simultaneously I have 2 text variables (ZADVME06) that fill from the previous variables (to also user exits).
When control the value by Web, of the following way. &TEMPLATE_ID=ZADWEB0197A&VAR_NAME_1=ZADVME02&VAR_VALUE_EXT_1=09.2006.
The problem is when control to call the value of this form the text variables do not fill, with which the headed one of the table shows:

Somebody to had east problem and since it has been able to solve it?

How to import values from txt and pass values to variables

I need to export some variables from Indesign and import them in Illustrator. I can export a txt file from InDesign but I don't know how to import and pass the values to variables in Illustrator.
Can someone help?

Well from you ID script Im presuming that you are simply writing a few lines of info to a plain text file like so…

How to pass values to variables in WAD 7.0 using java script

Hi.,
My requirement is based on WAD 7.0.
The sales value has to displayed in WAD using graph with various chart types.
I have created variables for plant and material group in a query.
I have created drop down box for plant with all plants in it, check box for material group and a Submit button in WAD in FORM tag of HTML coding.
Once all the values are set in drop down box, checkbox and if the user clicks on submit button, the values has to captured by the variables for which I have created and the graph has to be aligned to the new values in variables.
Kindly help me how to use java script to get the values from FORM and pass it to variables.

Hi Selva,
You do not need to use Javascript for this. Instead you can achieve this by using API Commands in WAD 7.0.
Please configure Action on the ButtonGroup webitem to use 'Commands'.
->Choose Command 'Set Variables Values / SET_VARIABLES_STATE' under Commands for Web Templates
->Set Display Variable Screen setting to OFF
->Choose Query Variable for Plant, Select Variable Type as 'Binding Type', Binding Type as 'Data Provider Selection', Data Provider as the one you have assigned to the Dropdown webitem, Characteristic as 0PLANT or as that assigned to the Dropdown webitem
->Repeat above steps for Query Variable Material Group
Now when you make a selection from the Dropdown webitems, the Chart output will change accordingly. Let me know if this helps.

Googling for the same has yielded the following results :-
• if the file name has : in it then ODI will consider it as a binding variable rather path. .. So try relative path. – Relative Path is working but we need to achieve this by giving absolute path.
• make sure you are using LKM File to SQL rather SQL to SQL. – We have tried by 3 different LKMS—File to SQL, SQL to SQL and SQL to Oracle but the error is same in all.
Any pointers regarding the same will be very helpful.

Thanks for the response. The issue here is we are picking this path from a table. We have FILE_PATH column in one database table and in ODI variable we have given SQL query as 'Select FILE_PATH from tablename'. Then we are taking the refresh value of this variable and passing it on to our interface.
If the Path in table is given as relative path it works , else for absolute path it doesnt work. How can we achieve the solution recommended by you in this case. The FILE_PATH value in table may change, so we need to pick the file from whatever path it fetches from the select statement. Hence we cannot hard code it here.

Call function, pass value, access variable in movieclip class from main stage

i am new to flash as.
I got quite confused on some problems. as the function here
is quite different from c and asp.net.
I have a movieClip named MC, and it's enabled with action
script, with the class name MC_Rectangle

Your as-file must be named MC_Rectangle.as (same upper/lower
case as in the Class name)
Ad 1) You have to declare sequence as a public property
"public var sequence;" or - better - define a getter-function for
sequence.
Ad 2) mc_rect.setSequence(8); e. g. (you must write "public"
in the Class-declaration of setSequence)
Ad 3) mc_rect.addSequence(); e. g. (you must write "public"
in the Class-declaration of addSequence)
... and yes, your methods can return a value: Replace "void"
with the proper data type (int, String, ...) and place a "return
myNumber;" or the like in the method's body.

Not able to pass values to variables in extended Tree class

Hi,
I have a as class that extends from Tree, additionally this
custom class defines
new class level variables as follows:

and i call this tree from mxml as follows:

Though my 'list' collections is not null, when i place an
alert in the constructor of extended tree class

Workbooks pass values to sequence

Hello gurus,
When i try to pass values from workbook to planning sequences, system doesn't lock the values i'va passed on a selection options variable.
I've tryied to pass values like:

VAR_SIGN_1 1 I
VAR_OPERATOR_1 1 EQ
VAR_NAME_2 1 ZIOMIND_SOM

but the problem is that it gives me a lock problem, and when i go see lock conflict the lock doesn't have values for this variables.
Could you help me on this?

on my query i have a select options exit variable (Z_REST2_CC) on the filter.
on sequences filter, i have a select options variable (Z_REST_CC).
on my workbook i pass values to variable Z_REST_CC like this:

when i execute sequence, i go to lock entries, and values are not locked by any values for costcenter (values that i pass on variables are costcenter values).

Issue passing values to text symbols in Dynamic text PDF forms

Hello Everyone,
I am facing a problem related to Dynamic texts in Adobe PDF forms (Text node of type include text). I am able to pass the dynamic values to the Text node properties but i am not able to pass the values to Text symbols inside the Text node. When tested it says the field not found. I have the same structure and field in the CONTEXT as that of the text symbol. The problem i see is because in PDF the field names have $record.(fieldname) ?
Please share your thoughts if anyone has faced similar problem or know how to handle it.

Open the report up in the Designer and Click on Edit, Subreport Links. Likely what you can do is use Shared Variables to pass values from the main report to the subreport.
You need to do this in the report first. If you are using RAS then you can at runtime. If RAS is not available to you then no way in code.

Passing values to substitution variables in a loop

Hi,
I want to pass values to a procedure in a loop. What I need is; pass new values to each iteration.
begin
for i in 1..10 loop
test (&empno, '&hdate');
end loop;
end;
But it takes values for first time and then the loop goes till end without prompting the new values. I am trying it in PL/SQL.
Can anyone suggest please!

Substitution variables are a SQL*Plus feature, not a PL/SQL one. The substitution is performed on the text before it is sent to the server for execution as PL/SQL. PL/SQL is not interactive - you would have to write a script or other client-side application to interact with the user and feed commands to the server.

I am Automating STATSPACK reporting by modifying the sprepins.sql script.
Using DBMS_JOB I take the snap of the database and at the end of the day the cron job creates the statspack report and emails it to me.
I am storing the snapshot ids in the database and when running the report picking up the recent ids(begin snap and end snap).
From the sprepins.sql script

This fails with the following error:

could it be the begin_ and end_ Colums of your query?
Seems SQL*PLUS hs parsing problems?
try to fetch another column from that table
and see if the error raises again.

Passing value to bind variable of another table from one table

hi,
I have a multi select table. When one row is selected from this table (no button is clicked, only selection is done), an attribute from that selected row (say userid) should be passed to the bind variable of another table and the corresponding details of that particular userid should be displayed in the other table. When more than one row is selected, the other table should display no rows.
My main problem is what code has to be written to pass value to bind variable and where it should be written.
Please give me a detailed explaination as soon as possible.

Work Around !
You can execute OS commands using Jython script. Probably you need to flush your enviornment variables value into a file using jython script and then read those value into ODI variable from the file.
BUt may I know why you want to read environment variable vaules in ODI, Dont you think this will make your application less portable

We have some odd behavior of text variables in the filter screen of key-figures.
After entering values in the variable screen, the report is executed.
Within the report all text variables are filled, with the values entered in the variable screen.
I say all, because we use both sap standard variables &0T_FPER& as customer specific &ZFSCYR&.
When i want to change the key figures showned, i press the filter icon for key-figures (BW 3.5)
In the list shown: existing filtervalues, the textvariables of SAP standard are filled with the value entered in the variable screen. However the customer specific is shown with the technical name (&ZFSCYR&) and not the value.
Has anyone experience with this behavior or even better a solution to prevent this?

Hi Rene,
If ur custom text variable is not getting populated then you need to check out the code that u have written in there in CMOD for this and ofcourse if ur using this text variable after report execution then it will definately be in i_step 2.
So best way is to debug your code and check that using code RSRT.
